This was taken with my new Canon 40mm f/2.8 lens, which I quite like so far. It is quite small, comically so compared to my 35mm f/1.4L. My new favorite walk-about lens because it is so small.

I am starting to plan a trip for India next spring, which brings with it decisions about what camera gear to take. This lens may beat out the venerable 35mm for size & weight considerations alone.

It has been a while, and I am trying to figure out some constraints to keep me focused. Specifically what type of content do I want to include? I am inclined to start with a photography & travel journal focus. Because I don’t travel a lot and am slow to process photos, I expect this will let me start out blogging slowly. Fair enough, I don’t want to pull any blogging muscles getting back into the game.

Along with that, boring “technical” stuff about choosing/tweaking themes, etc… So how about some formatting & quotes to see how different templates react?
