The Best of Tom Hanks

I think, nay I know, Tom Hanks is one of the best actors of our time. As a tribute, the following are my top 10 Tom Hanks movies of all time. This was inspired by a buddy that spontaneously sent me his top 10 Sylvester Stallone movies via text message a few days ago, coupled with the fact that we ate at Bubba Gump Shrimp over the weekend. Assembling a top 10 of Tom’s movies is one of the more difficult things I’ve ever had to do. Here’s my best shot, I had to shortcut by combining the Toy Story movies, but I could make an argument for all of the honorable mentions to be in the top 10 and it’s painful to not list some of his movies because they’re all so good.

29yrs and Laser Tag

Yes, I seem to have quit on my blog recently. I’m sure I’ll be back rolling at some point, maybe this post will get me going. Who knows. Anyway, I wanted to use this as an opportunity to say thanks to everyone for wishing me a happy birthday. Thanks to facebook it seems like everyone can remember everyone else’s birthday now. Still though, even after being prompted by your facebook you wouldn’t say anything if you really didn’t want to wish me a happy birthday, so thank you. I got a few toys for my birthday this year. My mom and aunt tend to by me toys still for some reason. I’m not sure if I should be insulted because they think I’m childish, or if I should be glad that they think I’m a fun person. Probably a little of both. This year I got a set of Laser Tag guns and a table top air hockey game. Shamefully I must say that I asked for the laser tag and I’m glad I did. I’m on a mission to get some other guys to buy themselves a set so we can have a huge laser tag battle in the woods somewhere. Yes, this is incredibly shallow but it’s something I really want to happen. I’ve discussed a few times here my views on church and who church services should be geared towards etc… I came across this piece of a Q&A where Matt Chandler answers the following question: Is the message preached on Sundays for the perishing or for the saved?
