You are the only one to give your business a personal touch and a unique identity!

Set your goals, create business strategies, evaluate your necessary resources, start using all the online tools you can find. There are free tools that are available to you at no extra cost and there are paid tools and services at such an affordable cost to grow your business or to any business you are planning to build.

However, the results obtained by some marketers are in no way the same. You have to actually work on your business to get results, and most people don't get results because they do not produce any activity. Stick to your business plan. Some people don`t know what to do or where to start, others just say..."it's too much work". The truth is that there is no real business with no real work.

The 8-5 option is even more work, not to mention your dealing with a mean Boss and unbearable co-workers. You also have to commute to your workplace and experience heavy traffic to work and back home everyday. Besides, there is NO 8-5 job where you sit for 8 hours doing nothing and expect to get paid at the end of the day.

Please don't get me wrong, I still believe in the 8-5 job as a source of steady and secure income. You can start an online business to augment your present income and when the time comes that your part-time income is much bigger than your full-time income you consider retiring.

Miss Columbia Is Crowned Miss Universe 2014

Miss Colombia, Paulina Vega won the Miss Universe 2014 crown on January 25, 2015 in Miami, Florida USA. 88 contestants all over the world vied for the most coveted title of the 63rd Miss Universe Pageant.

She was crowned by Miss Universe 2013 Gabriela Isler from Venezuela with the new crown created by Diamonds International Corporation.

Other winners are Miss USA Nia Sanchez was named the first runner-up, Miss Ukraine Diana Harkusha was named second runner-up, while Miss Netherlands Yasmin Verheijen was the third runner-up. Miss Jamaica Kaci Fennell is fourth runner-up.

The 63rd Annual Miss Universe Pageant will be held in Doral, Miami, Florida, USA on January 25, 2015. The show will be hosted by Natalie Morales of “Today” and Thomas Roberts of MSNBC Live and 88 candidates from all over the world will vie for the Miss Universe crown.

The contestants will be judged in three categories, namely: swimsuit, evening gown and interview. Pope Francis 2015 Philippines Visit Official Itinerary

In less than 12 hours Pope Francis will arrive in the Philippines particularly in Villamor Airbase at 5:45 this afternoon. As to this writing people are already arriving to hopefully get a glimpse of Pope Francis as his convoy will transport him to the Apostolic Nunciature, where he will be staying here in from January 15-19, 2015.

Despite the threat of Tropical Depression "Amang" has not altered the plans of the papal visit as to this time.

Here is the itinerary of Pope Francis:

Thursday, January 15, 2015:

Arrival from Sri Lanka at Villamor Air Base, estimated around 5:45 p.m. Motorcade to the Apostolic Nunciature at Taft Avenue, Manila where he will be staying.

Friday, January 16, 2015:

Official Welcome Ceremony by President Benigno Aquino III at Malacañan Palace, Manila, followed by meeting with members of the diplomatic corps. Motorcade to the Cathedral-Basilica of the Immaculate Conception (Manila Cathedral) for a Mass with bishops, priests, and the religious leaders. Pope Francis Visit To The Philippines

In a few days from now Pope Francis will be visiting the Philippines. So much preparation for has been done to make his visit safe and memorable. Commercial flights during his arrival and departure are cancelled and “no fly zones” has been designated for his safety. Classes are also suspended to allow the young people to attend activities planned during his visit.

Popes are always a big hit when they visit any country. They are dignitaries being the head of the Catholic church. More than five million people, many of them young Filipinos, attended Pope John Paul II’s closing mass at the 1995 World Youth Day in Manila, said to be a world record for a papal gathering. Let us see if Pope Francis can break that record.

Who is Pope Francis?

Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, on December 17, 1936, Jorge Mario Bergoglio became Pope Francis on March 13, 2013, when he was named the 266th pope of the Roman Catholic Church. Bergoglio, the first pope from the Americas, reportedly took his papal title after St. Francis of Assisi of Italy. Prior to his election as pope, Bergoglio served as archbishop of Buenos Aires from 1998 to 2013 (succeeding Antonio Quarracino), as cardinal of the Roman Catholic Church of Argentina from 2001 to 2013, and as president of the Bishops' Conference of Argentina from 2005 to 2011. Pope Francis made his first international visit in July 2013, traveling to Brazil. In December 2013, Pope Francis was also named Person of the Year by TIME magazine.

Reducing Credit Card Debt

The best way to improve your personal financial situation and to free up money for investing is by reducing your debt — especially costly credit card debt. In these days of easy credit, most people find their mailboxes stuffed daily with credit card offers from banks and other companies. It’s temptingly easy to accept the offers, run up a balance with purchases, and then switch to yet another card.

The unwary person who owns and uses several credit cards can find himself carrying a total debt equal to half or more of his yearly income — an uncomfortable, costly, and dangerous way of life.

My advice is to put on hold your desire to invest if you still have credit card debt unless you will find an investment instrument that will pay you more than the interest you will be paying for your credit card debt. It would be a wise move to pay your credit card debt first, then use your allocation for credit payment to invest.

If you take the following steps to reduce the debt drain on your finances, you’ll soon see your investment fund growing:

Pay off credit card balances as soon as you can. At interest rates of 3% per month or 36% annually (some even have higher interest rates) these are among the most expensive loans offered anywhere. The longer you take to repay them, the more each purchase costs.
Start paying your total credit card balance each month rather than the minimum amount. This will force you to begin living on your current income instead of mortgaging your future for present purchases.
When shopping control your emotions and don't get impulse buying dictate you. Evaluate first the time, whether it is a need or a want. If you list down the things that you bought with your credit card, you will be surprise that most of those things are wants rather than needs.
If you are a minimum income earner, call your credit card company to cancel your card. Believe me, it is no use for you to have a credit card because you cannot afford the cost of maintaining it.

Korean Food

On our recent trip to Dumaguete City, our daughter brought us to 2 Story Kitchen, a Korean restaurant to try its Korean food. Upon entering the premises, you can see a regular cafe or restaurant with paintings on the pastel colored walls.

The place was cozy with the second floor converted into lofts where one can eat sitting on the floor the Korean way. It is a good place for intimate and small group meetings or if you just want to relax and unwind.

I am not much fan of Korean food, but since I always want to try something new so we went ahead. We ordered one of each kind to be able to taste some of its recommended specialties.

I would have gone to bed when I was sick instead of pretending the earth would go into a holding pattern if I weren't there for the day.

I would have burned the candle sculpted like a rose before it melted in storage.

I would have talked less and listened more. I would have invited friends over to dinner even if the carpet was stained or the sofa faded.

I would have eaten the popcorn in the good living room and worried much less about the dirt when someone wanted to light a fire in the fireplace.

I would have taken the time to listen to my grandfather ramble about his youth.

I would never have insisted the car windows be rolled up on a summer day because my hair had just been teased and sprayed.

I would have sat on the lawn with my children and not worried about grass stains.

I would have cried and laughed less while watching television and more while watching life.

I would have bought anything just because it was practical, wouldn't show spoil, or was guaranteed to last a lifetime.

Instead of wishing away nine months of pregnancy, I'd have cherished every moment and realized that the wonderment glowing inside me was the only chance in life to assist God in a miracle.

When my kids kissed me impetuously, I would never have said, "Later. Now go and get washed up for dinner."

There would have been more "I love you's", more "I'm sorry's".

But mostly, given antoher shot at life, I would have seize every minute, look ant it and really see it, live it and nver give it back.

Stop sweating the small stuff. Don't worry aobut who doesn't like you, who has more, or who's doing what. Instead, let's cherish the relationships we have with those who do love us.

Let's think about what God has blessed us with. And what we are doing each day to promote ourselves mentally, physically, emotionally and spiritually.

Life is too short to let it pass by. We have only one shot at this and then it's gone.

An article in National Geographic several years ago provided a penetrating picture of God's wings.

After a forest fire in Yellowstone National Park, forest rangers began their trek up a mountain to assess the inferno's damage.

One ranger found a bird literally petrified in ashes, perched statuesquely on the ground at the base of a tree.

Somewhat sickened by the eerie sight, he knocked over the bird with a stick. When he struck it, three tiny chicks scurried from under their dead mother's wings.

The loving mother, keenly aware of the impending disaster, had carried her offspring to the base of the tree and had gathered them under her wings, instinctively knowing that the toxic smoke would rise.

She could have flown to safety, but refused to abandon her babies. when the blazed had arrived, the heat scorched her small body, but she remained steadfast.

Because she had been willing to die, those under her wings would live.

A Love Letter Especially For You

Dear loved ones,

As you well know, we are getting closer to my birthday. Every year there is a celebration in my honor and I think that this year the celebration will be repeated. During this time there are many people shopping for gifts, there are many radio announcements, TV commercials, and in every part of the world everyone is talking that my birthday is getting closer and closer.

It is really very nice to know, that at least once a year, some people think of me. As you know, the celebration of my birthday began many years ago. At first people seemed to understand and be thankful of all that I did for them, but in these times, no one seems to know the reason for the celebration. Family and friends get together and have a lot of fun, but they don't know the meaning of the celebration.

I remember that last year there was a great feast in my honor. The dinner table was full of delicious foods, pastries, fruits, assorted nuts and chocolates. The decorations were exquisite and there were many, many beautifully wrapped gifts. But, do you want to know something? I wasn't invited. I was the guest of honor and they didn't remember to send me an invitation. The party was for me, but when that great day came, I was left outside, they closed the door in my face .... and I wanted to be with them and share their table.

In truth, that didn't surprise me because in the last few years all close their doors to me. Since I wasn't invited, I decided to enter the party without making any noise. I went in and stood in a corner. They were all drinking; there were some who were drunk and telling jokes and laughing at everything. They were having a grand time. To top it all, this big fat man all dressed in red wearing a long white beard entered the room yelling Ho-Ho-Ho! He seemed drunk. He sat on the sofa and all the children ran to him, saying: "Santa Claus, Santa Claus" .. as if the party were in his honor!

At 12 Midnight all the people began to hug each other; I extended my arms waiting for someone to hug me and ... do you know ... no one hugged me. Suddenly they all began to share gifts. They opened them one by one with great expectation. When all had been opened, I looked to see if, maybe, there was one for me.

What would you feel if on your birthday everybody shared gifts and you did not get one? I then understood that I was unwanted at that party and quietly left.

Every year it gets worse. People only remember to eat and drink, the gifts, the parties and nobody remembers me. I would like this Christmas that you allow me to enter into your life. I would like that you recognize the fact that almost two thousand years ago I came to this world to give my life for you, on the cross, to save you. Today, I only want that you believe this with all your heart.

I want to share something with you. As many didn't invite me to their party, I will have my own celebration, a grandiose party that no one has ever imagined, a spectacular party.

I'm still making the final arrangements. Today I am sending out many invitations and there is an invitation for you. I want to know if you wish to attend and I will make a reservation for you and write your name with golden letters in my great guest book. Only those on the guest list will be invited to the party. Those who don't answer the invite, will be left outside.

Be prepared because when all is ready you will be part of my great party.

10 Rules For A Blessed Day

1. Today I will not strike back...

If someone is rude, if someone is impatient, if someone is unkind, I will not respond in a like manner.

2. Today I will ask God to bless my ‘enemy’

If I come across someone who treats me harshly or unfairly, I will quietly ask God to bless that individual.

I understand “enemy” could be a family member, neighbor, co-worker or stranger.

3. Today I will be careful about what I say...

I will carefully choose and guard my words being certain that I do not spread gossip.

4. Today I will go the extra mile...

I will find ways to help share the burden of another person.

5. Today I will forgive...

I will forgive any hurts or injuries that come my way because i know God will be delighted when i do so..

6. Today I will do something kind for someone, (but I will do it in secret...)

I will reach out anonymously and bless the life of another.

7. Today I will treat others the way I wish to be treated...

I will practice the golden rule. “Do Unto others as I would have them do unto me”- with EVERYONE I encounter.

My smile, my words, my expression of support, my pat on their back, my hug, my handshake can make the difference to someone who is wrestling with life.

I will eat less... I will eat only healthy foods.

I will spend a little more time in prayer today.

I will begin reading something spiritual or inspirational; I will find a quiet place (at some point during this day) and listen to God’s voice.

We learn three principles about loving our neighbor:

(1) lack of love is often easy to justify, even though it is never right;

(2) our neighbor is anyone of any race, creed, or social background who is in need; and

(3) love means acting to meet the person’s needs.

Wherever you live, there are needy people close by.

There is no good reason for refusing to help.

Remember, today is a gift from God so treat it preciously.

In a few days from now will be Mother's Day. Here is a beautiful story shared to me by a friend as a tribute to all mothers.

God, What Is My Angel's Name?

Once upon a time there was a child ready to be born.

One day the child ask God, "They tell me you are going to send me to earth tomorrow but how am I going to live there being so small and helpless?"

God replied, "Among the many angels, I have chosen one for you. She will be waiting for you and will take care of you."

But said the child, "Tell me here in heaven I don't do anything else but sing and smile. Thats what I need to be happy."

God said. "Your angel will sing for you everyday. You will feel your angel's love and you will be happy."

And said the child, "How am I going to be able to understand when people talk to me if I don't understand the language that men talk?"

"That's easy," God said, "Your angel will tell you the most beautiful and sweet words you will ever hear, and with much patience and care your angel will teach you how to speak."

The child looked up at God saying, "And what am I going to do if I want to talk to you?"

God answered, "Your angel will place your hand together and will teach you how to pray."

The child said, "I've heard on earth there are bad men. Who will protect me?"

God put his arm around the child, saying, "Your angel will defend you, even if risking here life."

God hugged the child, "Your angel will always talked to you about me and will teach you the way to come back to me, even though I will always be next to you."

At that moment there was so much peace in heaven, but voices from earth could already be heard.

The child in a hurry ask God softly, "Oh God, if I am about to leave now tell me my angel's name."

God replied, "Your angel's name is of no importance, you will simply call her MOMMY!

A Good Friday Inspiring Video

Today is Good Friday. It is a time to meditate on God's unconditional love for us despite who we are, a sinner and a nobody. But in God's eyes we are somebody worthy of His only begotten Son's life to die on the cross on Calvary 2000+ years ago to redeem us from our sins. If you think that you are unlovable...think again because Jesus loves you and you are special in His eyes.

Here is a very inspiring message I would like to share to you. It is a testimony of an Australian who, against all odds, leads a purposeful and inspiring life.

It's definitely a feel good video to brighten your day and make you feel grateful for everything you have.

Nick Vujicic has been inspiring other young people throughout the world. He allowed to be used by God to spread love and the Good News. Do you allow to be used by God?

Each country has its unique way of living, custom and tradition. Some of them we can be proud of and some of them we are not happy to talk about. Its a way of life differently from the others.

In the Philippines we also have our own unique ways. It reminds me of the advertisement of Jollibee sometime ago where a balikbayan grandmother complained of traffic and commented "walang ganito sa States" (there is no traffic in the US). When they passed by a dilapidated road and they were driving slow, she commented again "walang ganito sa States."

Praying For One Another

Here is a beautiful story about praying and sharing one's blessings. Its a lesson we could all learn! Enjoy reading...

A voyaging ship was wrecked during a storm at sea and only two of the men on it were able to swim to a small, desert like island.

The two survivors, not knowing what else to do, agree that they had no other recourse but to pray to God. However, to find out whose prayer was more powerful, they agreed to divide the territory between them and stay on opposite sides of the island.

The first thing they prayed for was food.

The next morning, the first man saw a fruit-bearing tree on his side of the land, and he was able to eat its fruit.

The other man's parcel of land remained barren.

After a week, the first man was lonely and he decided to pray for a wife.

The next day, another ship was wrecked, and the only survivor was a woman who swam to his side of the island.

On the other side of the island, there was nothing.

Soon the first man prayed for a house, clothes, more food. The next day, like magic, all of these were given to him.

However, the second man still had nothing.

Finally, the first man prayed for a ship, so that he and his wife could leave the island. In the morning, he found a ship docked at his side of the island.

The first man boarded the ship with his wife and decided to leave the second man on the island.

He considered the other man unworthy to receive God's blessings, since none of his prayers had been answered.

As the ship was about to leave, the first man heard a voice from heaven booming, "Why are you leaving your companion on the island?"

"My blessings are mine alone, since I was the one who prayed for them," the first man answered.

"His prayers were all unanswered and so he does not deserve anything.

"You are mistaken!" the voice rebuked him.

"He had only one prayer, which I answered. If not for that, you would not have received any of
my blessings."

"Tell me," the first man asked the voice, "what did he pray for that I should owe him anything?"

"He prayed that all your prayers be answered."

For all we know, our blessings are not the fruits of our prayers alone, but those of another praying for us.

This is too good not to be shared. With obedience come blessings.

My prayer for you today is that all your prayers be answered.
