			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Nuket Savaskan  Nowlan, web.alive developm<span>ent community  manager   and founder of 3D Virtual Crafting  along with  Nursing  Professors Eleanor Riesen and  Michelle Morley from the Faculty  of  Health, Public Safety and Community Studies at Algonquin College in   Ottawa, Ontario present</span> how Algonquin College used web.alive in a course on domestic  violence for nurses, police officers, and emergency response  professionals. Simulation environments, such as children aid office,  police station, government health office, and residential apartments  were used to practice new skills within scenarios presented to students  who submit their recorded group act to be evaluated.</p>

<p><span style="font-size:11pt;font-family:Arial;color:#000000;background-color:transparent;font-weight:normal;font-style:normal;font-variant:normal;text-decoration:none;vertical-align:baseline;">The  term “workshop” reflects the emphasis on action-based learning, thus  the construction of new knowledge and competences through collaborative  and individual activities.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size:11pt;font-family:Arial;color:#000000;background-color:transparent;font-weight:normal;font-style:normal;font-variant:normal;text-decoration:none;vertical-align:baseline;">The  Open Workshop on Information Literacy is designed to address the needs  of graduate and PhD students of the University of Patras. </span><br />
<span style="font-size:11pt;font-family:Arial;color:#000000;background-color:transparent;font-weight:normal;font-style:normal;font-variant:normal;text-decoration:none;vertical-align:baseline;">The general learning objectives of the Open Workshop on Information Literacy include:</span></p>
