If you’re not sharing your computer with other users and no one else can access it, you can configure your Vista to login automatically, so you can turn on computer, leave for coffee and it will be ready to use when you back.

To do so, click on Start button and type “control userpasswords2″ or “netplwiz” in the search field, then uncheck the “Users must enter a user name and password…”, provide the username and password you want auto login to and restart computer. Your Vista will automatically log on with your account.

Just connect your Playstation 2 to your audio system, enjoy the music from Internet Radio. A homebrew programmer made software based of Simple Media Player (SMS) called Argon, which allows you to play multimedia files and also listen to online radio stations!

Installation
In order to use homebrew software, you must have ELF loader. There is some loaders available, the best you can have is to install Free MC Boot, once installed on your memory card, it loads automatically when you start your Playstation 2.

Free MC Boot Installation
Here is a great tutorial how to install Free MC Boot: FMCB 1.8 for dummies. Or you can see other tutorials: Tutorials On sksapps.com. Download Free MC Boot installation package here, it includes uLaunchElf application, needed to copy the argon files.

Argon Installation
Before you can use Argon, you need to copy the files to FreeMcBoot apps folder. Download the argon installation package from Argon Official Site. Extract the files and copy to memory stick with computer. Start your playstation, run uLaunchElf, copy all the files without folder to MC0:/BOOT. Now exit the uLaunchElf and configure FreeMcBoot menu to show Argon software in it.

IMAP offers several advantages over POP, you can store the email data on Gmail server so you can synchronize with multiple clients, it has better functionality in manipulating inbox, and the ability to manage email folders within single account.

POP is designed to offer simple offline operations, it downloads email to the phone, and generally removing it from the Gmail server, it doesn’t support email folders.

IMAP

Before you can use email on your phone you must enable IMAP in Gmail:

Sign in to Gmail.

Click Settings at the top of any Gmail page.

Click Forwarding and POP/IMAP.

Select Enable IMAP.

Configure your IMAP client and click Save Changes.

Since Windows rename command doesn’t support regular expression, so today I made a VB Script to batch rename multiple files using regex method.

What is Regular Expression?
Basically, a regular expression is a pattern describing a certain amount of text. Their name comes from the mathematical theory on which they are based. But we will not dig into that. Since most people including myself are lazy to type, you will usually find the name abbreviated to regex or regexp. I prefer regex, because it is easy to pronounce the plural “regexes”.

Click read more to see the script

The Script

' ----------------------------------
' Name : Regex Rename File Script
' Version : 1.0
' Author  : Lucky
' ----------------------------------

WScript.Echo "Rename File Script v1.0 by Lucky"
WScript.Echo "================================"
WScript.Echo

Dim args
Set args = WScript.Arguments

Dim pattern
Dim replacement

If args.Count<>2 Then
    WScript.Echo "Usage: cscript rename.vbs [searchpattern] [replacement]"
    WScript.Quit()
Else
    pattern=args(0)
    replacement=args(1)
    WScript.Echo "Replace """ & args(0) & """ to """ & args(1) & """:"
    WScript.Echo
End IF

'Start rename
Dim fso,cf,regex
Dim oldname,newname
Dim matches

Set fso = CreateObject("Scripting.FileSystemObject")
Set cf = fso.GetFolder(".")
Set regex = New RegExp
regex.Pattern=pattern
regex.IgnoreCase=True

Set colFiles = cf.Files
For Each objFile in colFiles
    oldname=objFile.Name
    Set matches = regex.Execute(oldname)
    If matches.Count>0 Then
        newname=regex.Replace(oldname,replacement)
        Wscript.Echo "Rename """ & oldname & """ to """ & newname & """"
        objFile.Move newname
    End If

Next

Usage
First you need to copy the script above and paste it on notepad, save it to “rename.vbs”. Regex rename script needs two parameters, pattern and replacement. The script will find matching filename with the pattern in current folder, and replace it to replacement text.

Usage: cscript rename.vbs [searchpattern] [replacement]

Examples
You can use a few examples with the script

#simply rename a file from image.jpg to image2.jpg
cscript rename.vbs image.jpg image2.jpg

#rename some file with wildcards, image?.jpg to picture?.jpg
cscript rename.vbs image(.).jpg picture$1.jpg

#another example with wildcards, rename file start with image to picture
cscript rename.vbs image(.*) picture$1

Limitation
Currently the latest VBScript version 5.5 regular expression engine has some limitation, which are:

No \A or \Z anchors to match the start or end of the string. Use a caret or dollar instead

Lookbehind is not supported at all. Lookahead is fully supported

No atomic grouping or possessive quantifiers

No Unicode support, except for matching single characters with \uFFFF

No named capturing groups. Use numbered capturing groups instead

No mode modifiers to set matching options within the regular expression

No conditionals

No regular expression comments. Describe your regular expression with VBScript apostrophe comments instead, outside the regular expression string

What is Netbook?
A netbook is a light-weight, low-cost, energy-efficient, highly portable laptop suitable for web browsing, email and general purpose applications — primarily noted for its small form factor. Netbooks typically have less processing power than full-featured notebooks and limited ability to run resource-intensive operating systems. (Wikipedia)

Choose The Best

Asus Eee PC: The one that started it all has blossomed into over a dozen models, ranging in size and features. You can pick and choose between hard drive-based units or those that offer limited-capacity, Solid State Disk flash modules. Asus offers a simple and effective custom Xandros Linux build, but supports and offers Windows XP as well. Early models use Intel’s Celeron CPU but Asus is transitioning to the newer Intel Atom, which is becoming the de facto netbook standard. Expect to pay between $299 and $599 for a netbook from the Eee PC line.

HP Mini-Note: As you can see in our video review, we were very impressed with this 2.8-pounder from HP. Although it’s the one non-Intel netbook available, the VIA C7-M processor handles most tasks fairly well. And while the Mini-Note comes in a single size, it’s not one size fits all: You can configure the hard drive capacity, processor speed, memory and operating system. SUSE Linux, Windows XP and even Windows Vista Business can be had. The HP stands out from the pack with its higher resolution screen; it fits 1280 x 768 pixels into the 8.9-inch screen. Current prices range between $499 and $829.

Acer Aspire One: This 2.1-pound netbook approaches more of a sweet spot in terms of pricing: The Linux version is $329, while the XP model is only $20 more. Acer includes a lite build of Linpus Linux, which I found to be great for quick, out-of-the-box computing, but most people would be better served with the XP edition. The incremental extra price also includes twice the memory (1 GB vs. 512 MB) and a faster 120 GB hard drive instead of the slower 8 GB of flash memory. Even at this low price, there’s plenty to like about the Aspire One.

MSI Wind: The 2.6-pound Wind from Taiwan is very similar to the higher-end Asus model; in fact, the specifications are nearly the same, as is the price. For $599, you’ll get a 10.2-inch display, Windows XP and a 6-cell battery, which should offer double the run-time over most other netbooks as they use a 3-cell battery. Only this model and the Acer Aspire One offer a full-sized and correctly placed Right-Shift key, something very important to touch-typists. I personally returned my Acer and ordered a Wind partly for this reason, as well as for the fact that the Wind includes integrated Bluetooth for my wireless mouse.

There are other netbooks on the horizon as well. Lenovo has already announced their Ideapad S10 and Dell is expected to enter this market with a small Inspiron model rumored to start at $299. Essentially, these models are very similar to what’s currently available. In fact, there are very few differentiators amongst the crowd. Price is probably the most compelling, followed by the feature set. In my own experience, I’m finding that the Linux implementations are a third factor. While many netbook makers are offering custom Linux builds for simplicity, they have to balance that with the ability for the everyday consumer to add, extend and customize their own experience. Regardless, after using a low-powered computer and just the web for 60 days, I’m convinced that netbooks are well on their way towards becoming personal cloud computers.
