While collecting her father's body, Mattie inquires about a Deputy U.S. Marshal to hire to track down Chaney. She is given three recommendations, but chooses to hire Rooster Cogburn (Jeff Bridges), because he is described as the most merciless. He repeatedly rebuffs her attempts to hire him.

Meanwhile, at the boarding house where she is staying, Texas Ranger La Boeuf (Matt Damon) arrives on the trail of Chaney. La Boeuf has been pursuing him for several months over a murder in Texas. He proposes to Mattie that they should team up with Cogburn, since the Marshall knows the Choctaw terrain where Chaney is hiding, while La Boeuf knows how the man is most likely to behave. Mattie rejects La Boeuf's offer, partially because he would take Chaney back to Texas to be hanged for the prior murder, instead of her father's. After finally securing Cogburn's services, Mattie is instructed to meet him the following morning to begin the search for Chaney. Instead of meeting her though Cogburn leaves her a note telling her to go home while he goes to apprehend Chaney.

Mattie catches up with Cogburn after fording a river on her horse. He has teamed up with La Boeuf and agreed to split the Texas reward for Chaney. Accusing him of fraud, Mattie threatens to have Cogburn arrested for breaking their agreement, which specified that she must accompany him on the manhunt. Reluctantly, he allows Mattie to come along. After a disagreement, La Boeuf sets off on his own in search of Chaney. Eventually, Mattie and Cogburn come across an isolated shack, where two outlaws are staying. After they turn on each other, Cogburn kills the older outlaw, and as the younger one is dying, he explains that "Lucky" Ned Pepper (Barry Pepper) and his gang were planning on returning to the shack later that night. Believing Chaney to be riding with Pepper's gang, Cogburn and Mattie lie in wait for the gang.

However, La Boeuf rides up to the shack ahead of the gang. When the gang arrives, they lasso La Boeuf and drag him behind a horse. Cogburn opens fire from his hiding spot, and kills two members of the gang, wounding La Boeuf. During the night, Cogburn drinks a great deal of whiskey and is severely drunk the next morning. The following night, he and La Boeuf argue again, and La Boeuf departs once more. The next morning, as Mattie draws water at the river, she encounters Chaney who is watering the gang's horses. She draws her father's pistol and shoots him. The pistol misfires as she tries to finish him off, and he drags her back to the gang. Ned uses Mattie as a hostage, to get Cogburn to ride off. Ned leaves Mattie with Chaney, ordering him not to kill her. He plans to send a horse back for Chaney later in the day, once the gang have reached a new hideout.

Once alone, Chaney attacks Mattie; La Boeuf knocks Chaney out with his rifle butt, and explains that when he heard the shots in the morning, he rode back and encountered Cogburn, who hatched a plan. La Boeuf and Mattie watch from their perch as Cogburn takes on the four surviving members of Ned's gang. He kills three of them and mortally wounds Ned before his horse is shot out from under him. As the dying Ned is about to kill Cogburn, La Boeuf fires his rifle and kills Ned. Chaney comes to and attacks La Boeuf. Mattie grabs La Boeuf's rifle and kills Chaney, but the recoil knocks her back into a snake-filled chasm. She is bitten before Cogburn and La Boeuf can rescue her. Cogburn and Mattie leave the wounded La Boeuf at the chasm with Cogburn assuring he will send help to La Boeuf. Cogburn then rides through the night to get Mattie to a doctor, arriving just in time.

Twenty-five years later, Mattie – now 40 and with only one arm, due to amputation necessitated by the snakebite – receives an invitation from Cogburn to meet him at a traveling Wild West show with which he is performing. When she arrives at the site, she learns that Cogburn died three days earlier. She has his body moved into her family plot, and the film ends with her standing over his grave and pondering how time catches up with everyone.

Source : Wikipedia

Little Fockers

Little Fockers (known as Meet the Parents: Little Fockers in the United Kingdom), is a 2010 American comedy film and a sequel to both Meet the Parents (2000) and Meet the Fockers (2004). It stars Robert De Niro, Ben Stiller, Owen Wilson, Blythe Danner, Teri Polo, Dustin Hoffman and Barbra Streisand. It is the first film in the series that was not directed by Jay Roach and was instead directed by Paul Weitz, though Roach is one of its producers. It is also the first film in the series that the music was not composed by Randy Newman, instead being replaced by relative newcomer Stephen Trask. In addition to the original cast, Little Fockers features Jessica Alba, Laura Dern and Harvey Keitel.

Plot

Greg and his wife Pam, daughter of retired CIA agent Jack, have five-year-old twins, Henry and Samantha.[2][3]

Jack begins to experience significant health issues and appoints Greg to the new head of the family, the "Godfocker". However, he starts to have doubts about his decision, because he thinks Greg has an affair with Andi Garcia, a sexy pharmaceutical-company representative with whom he sells the erectile dysfunction drug Sustengo. This is not true, the impression is due to coincidences and drunkenness of Andi.[4] Jack even suggests to Pam that it might be better to divorce Greg and resume her relationship with Kevin Rawley, her former fiancé. Greg and Pam are annoyed by this.

In order to prove he can look after the family, Greg tries to get his children into a better school (although he almost blows the chance), build a new house (which has problems in the garden), and get his finances in order. Upon meeting Bob (Debbie's ex-husband), he tells Greg that he has never been happier after getting off "the hamster wheel" and that he was Jack's first choice to lead the family and gave him the name "The Bobfather", which makes him a little upset. Jack and Greg eventually make up at the twins' birthday party after a fight, in which Jack suffers a heart attack and Greg saves his life. The film ends four months later on Christmas Day when Jack, Dina, Bernie, and Roz come to spend Christmas with Pam and Greg in their new house and Greg's parents tell them that they are moving to Chicago and are going to move two houses down from theirs. To this, Jack and Dina say they will move too, because they also want to be close to their grandchildren, to which Bernie and Roz are delighted about, although both Pam and Greg insist neither move.

During the credits, Jack watches a video of Greg on YouTube.

Source : Wikipedia

Tron : Legacy

Tron: Legacy is a 2010 American science fiction film produced by Walt Disney Pictures, released on December 16, 2010 in Australia and December 17, 2010 in North America and Europe. It is a sequel to the 1982 film Tron. Joseph Kosinski makes his feature film directorial debut with Tron: Legacy, while the previous film's director, Steven Lisberger, returns as a producer. Jeff Bridges reprises his roles as Kevin Flynn and Clu, while Bruce Boxleitner reprises his roles as Alan Bradley and Tron. Garrett Hedlund portrays Flynn's adult son, Sam.[6] The other cast members include Olivia Wilde, Beau Garrett, Michael Sheen, and Daft Punk.[7]

Plot

In 1989, Kevin Flynn (Jeff Bridges), an innovative software engineer and the CEO of ENCOM International, disappears. Twenty years later, his son, Sam (Garrett Hedlund), who became the controlling shareholder after his father's disappearance, takes little interest in the company besides an annual practical joke on the board of directors. Sam is visited by his father's friend and ENCOM executive Alan Bradley (Bruce Boxleitner), who urges Sam to investigate a mysterious pager message originating from Flynn's old arcade. While exploring the arcade, Sam discovers a concealed computer laboratory and unintentionally transports himself to The Grid, a virtual world inside the computer.

Sam is captured and taken to the game arena. He is eventually pitted against Rinzler, the champion of the games, who notices that Sam is not a program, but a User. Rinzler takes him before Clu, a digital copy of Sam's father who rules The Grid. Clu nearly kills Sam in a Light Cycle match before Quorra (Olivia Wilde) rescues him. Taken to a distant hideout in the "Outlands," Sam is reunited with his father, who reveals that Clu betrayed him and defeated Tron, seizing control of The Grid and forcing Kevin to remain in hiding. Clu also committed genocide against sentient "isomorphic algorithms" (ISOs), self-produced programs that carried the potential to unlock mysteries in science, religion, and medicine, because Clu considered these ISOs to be an imperfection. When the portal closed, Flynn became a captive inside his own creation until Sam re-opened it from the outside.

Resolving to make it back to the real world where he would be able to delete Clu, Sam makes his way back to The Grid to find a program named Zuse, whom he believes can provide safe passage to the portal. The End of Line Club owner—Castor (Michael Sheen)—is revealed to be Zuse and betrays Sam to Clu's guards. Though Kevin and Quorra arrive just in time to help Sam escape, Quorra is wounded in the process and Zuse gains possession of Kevin's identity disc. Knowing the disc works as a master key to The Grid, Zuse attempts to negotiate with Clu, but Clu simply takes it and destroys the club.

Stowing away on a transport ship, Kevin heals Quorra, who is revealed to be the last surviving ISO. The three unexpectedly arrive at a station aboard a massive warship. When Quorra allows Rinzler to capture her to serve as a distraction, Kevin recognizes Rinzler as a reprogrammed Tron. Clu addresses an army of troops, expressing his desire to enter the real world and reform it to his ideal of perfection.

Sam saves Quorra and reclaims Kevin's disc. The trio then commandeer an aerial shuttle and are pursued by Clu, his guards and Rinzler using Light Jets. Between Quorra's evasive flying and Sam manning the rear turret, they manage to shoot down Clu's guards. During the conflict, Kevin and Rinzler make eye contact and Rinzler regains his true identity as Tron. Tron declares: "I fight for the user", and he deliberately collides with Clu's Light Jet, causing both of their vehicles to de-res. As they are falling, Clu wrestles away Tron's spare baton and creates another light jet to continue his journey to the portal. Tron falls into the Sea of Simulation, where the orange illumination on his armor reverts back to his original blue. Sam, Kevin and Quorra reach the portal only to find Clu blocking their path. Kevin sacrifices himself to end the impasse, re-integrating with Clu to ensure Sam and Quorra escape. The two merge and explode just as Sam and Quorra use Kevin's disc to transport themselves through the portal to the real world.

Back in the basement of Flynn's Arcade, Sam saves a backup of The Grid onto his flash drive. He then meets Alan and tells him that he will start working at ENCOM, and, as the controlling interest shareholder, he will name Alan chairman of the board. Sam leaves with Quorra on his motorcycle, showing her the sunrise she has longed to see.

Source : Wikipedia

The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader

The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader is a 2010 3D fantasy-adventure film based on The Voyage of the Dawn Treader, the third novel in C. S. Lewis's epic fantasy series The Chronicles of Narnia (and fifth chronologically). It is the third installment in The Chronicles of Narnia film series from Walden Media. Unlike the earlier two films, it was distributed by 20th Century Fox; it was the first to be released in Digital 3D.

The film is set three years after the events of the previous film in Narnia, and one year in England. The two youngest Pevensie siblings, Edmund (Skandar Keynes) and Lucy (Georgie Henley), are transported back to Narnia along with their cousin Eustace Scrubb (Will Poulter). They join the new king of Narnia, Caspian (Ben Barnes), in his quest to rescue seven lost lords to save Narnia from a corrupting evil that resides on a dark island. Each character is tested as they journey to the home of the great lion Aslan at the far end of the world.

The film premiered on November 30, 2010, at a Royal Film Performance in London. It had a wide theatrical release in traditional 2D, RealD 3D, and Digital 3D, and a limited release in 4D worldwide on December 10.[4][5][6]

Plot

One year after the events of Prince Caspian, Lucy and Edmund Pevensie are staying with their cousin Eustace Scrubb, while Susan and Peter are in America. When water pours from a painting of a ship on the ocean hanging in Lucy’s bedroom, Lucy, Edmund and Eustace are transported into an ocean in Narnia.

They are rescued by the ship from the painting. Its crew includes Caspian and Reepicheep. Caspian informs them they are on the Dawn Treader. Three years have passed, and Caspian seeks the seven Lords of Narnia whom his uncle Miraz banished when he usurped the Narnian throne.

They visit the Lone Islands, a Narnian colony invaded by Calormen. Caspian and Edmund are captured and imprisoned while Lucy and Eustace are sold as slaves. Caspian meets one of the lost lords, Lord Bern, who reveals that those who cannot be sold are sacrificed to a mysterious green mist. The Dawn Treader crew rescuses them, and they reclaim the Lone Islands from the Calormen. Bern gives Caspian one of the seven swords originally given to the lords.

At another island Lucy is abducted by invisible Dufflepuds who force her to enter the manor of Coriakin to recite a visibility spell from his Book of Incantations. Lucy rips out a page that contains a beauty incantation before reciting the visibility spell, making Coriakin and the Dufflepuds visible. Coriakin explains that he cast the invisibility spell to protect the Dufflepuds from the mist, and informs the crew that they must defeat the mist by laying the seven swords of the lost Lords at Aslan's Table on Ramandu's Island, which they can reach by following a blue star. While journeying Lucy casts the beauty incantation, transforming into Susan. She finds herself at a party with Edmund and Peter, who recognize her as Susan and do not know of Lucy or Narnia. Realizing she no longer exists as Lucy, she awakens from the vision of the party returned to her normal self. Aslan reveals himself through a mirror, reminding Lucy not to doubt herself and explaining that her siblings only know of Narnia because of her.

The crew visits a volcanic island. Edmund, Lucy and Caspian discover a pool that can turn anything into gold, including Lord Restimar. Edmund and Caspian fight each other over who should own the pool, but Lucy warns them that they are being tempted. Eustace discovers a treasure that he begins stealing. While Edmund and Caspian look for Eustace they discover Lord Octesian's skeleton. A dragon attacks the Dawn Treader and abducts Edmund. The dragon has made fire on the ground forming the words "I AM EUSTACE". The Pevensies, Caspian and Reepicheep spend the night on shore keeping Eustace company. Reepicheep comforts Eustace, who helps everyone the next day, after Lucy spots the blue star.

The crew arrive at Ramandu's Island and discover Aslan’s Table with three lost lords asleep around it. As they place the swords on the table they realise one is still missing. The star descends from the sky and turns into a beautiful young woman; Lilliandil, Ramandu's daughter. She guides them to the location of the last sword; the Dark Island, lair of the mist. The crew voyages to the island and discovers Rhoop, the last surviving Lord. Rhoop warns them not to think of their fears but Edmund fails, his fear manifesting as a sea serpent that attacks the ship. Betraying the group, Rhoop throws his sword at Eustace, stabbing him. Eustace flies away, landing on a sandy island and encountering Aslan, who transforms him back into a boy and sends him to Ramandu's island with Rhoop's sword. The mist tries distracting Edmund by appearing as Jadis, the White Witch. Eustace overcomes the mist as it tries to restrain him, and puts Rhoop's sword on the table, awaking the three sleeping lords and destroying the mist; the sea serpent dies and the sacrificed people reappear.

Eustace rejoins Lucy, Edmund, Caspian and Reepicheep and they sail to the silver sea, finding a shore before a massive wave. Aslan appears to them and tells them that His country lies beyond, although if they go they may never return. Reepicheep decides to enter, and Aslan blesses him before he paddles a coracle above the wave. Aslan opens a portal in the wave to send Lucy, Edmund and Eustace home, telling them that Lucy and Edmund will never return to Narnia. Aslan encourages them to know Him in their world by another name, and tells Eustace that he may return. Edmund and Lucy bid farewell to Caspian and Aslan before entering the portal with Eustace. The three are returned to the bedroom at Eustace's house.

Eustace is being called by his mother as Jill Pole comes to visit and the three watch the painting as the ship disappears behind the waves.

Source : Wikipedia

Tangled

Tangled is a 2010 animated musical film produced by Walt Disney Animation Studios. The film features the voices of Mandy Moore, Zachary Levi and Donna Murphy, and is the 50th animated feature in the Walt Disney Animated Classics series. The story is largely based on the German fairy tale Rapunzel by the Brothers Grimm.[4] The film was originally titled and marketed as Rapunzel until it was changed to Tangled shortly before its release. It premiered in theatres and in 3-D cinemas on November 24, 2010.[5] To date, it is the second most expensive film ever made, and the most expensive animated film, with a budget of $260 million.[2]

Plot

An elderly witch named Gothel witnesses a single drop of pure sunlight hit the ground, creating a magical flower with the ability to heal the sick and hurt, and she uses it to keep herself young when she sings to it. Years later, the queen of a nearby kingdom falls ill while expecting a child. Her guards, searching for a cure, find the mysterious flower. They make a broth out of the flower, which heals the queen and she gives birth to a girl named Rapunzel. Gothel learns that Rapunzel's golden hair retains the flower's healing abilities as long as it isn't cut, so she kidnaps the child and isolates her in a tower, raising the girl as her own daughter. However, every year on Rapunzel's birthday, the kingdom sends thousands of floating lanterns into the sky longing for their lost princess to return.

Eighteen years later, Rapunzel lives in the tower with her pet chameleon, Pascal. Rapunzel asks Gothel to let her see the floating lights on her birthday, but Gothel denies her request, saying the world is full of people who would covet her abilities for themselves. Meanwhile, thieves led by Flynn Rider, steal the tiara of the missing princess from the castle. Flynn abandons his accomplices and stumbles upon Rapunzel's tower, choosing it as a hideout. During the chase, the lead guard's horse, Maximus, is separated from his rider and continues the search for Flynn on his own. Once inside the tower, Flynn is knocked unconscious by Rapunzel, who then hides him in a wardrobe.

Rapunzel tells Gothel that she wants a special paint for her birthday. Gothel agrees, and after she leaves, Rapunzel makes a deal with Flynn — if he escorts her to the lights and back, she will return the tiara. While Rapunzel is excited to be free, she is soon conflicted between her freedom and her guilt of disobedience. While traveling, the two visit the Snuggly Duckling Tavern, which appears to be full of thugs like Gothel warned Rapunzel about, but they all each have their own dreams, just as Rapunzel does. As the royal guards continue their search, Gothel learns of the pursuit, returns to the tower and finds Rapunzel gone. The tavern regulars help the pair escape from the guards, but they eventually corner Flynn at a man-made dam, which Maximus inadvertently causes to collapse. Trapped in a flooding cave, Rapunzel reveals her powers to Flynn, and her hair glows such as the flower. It enabled them to escape safely, and Flynn reveals his real name, Eugene Fitzherbert, and his reason for being a thief. While Flynn gathers firewood, Gothel secretly meets with Rapunzel, who tells Gothel she has feelings for Flynn. Gothel tells Rapunzel that Flynn is only after the tiara, claiming that he will leave once he has it.

The next morning, Maximus confronts Flynn again, but Rapunzel befriends the horse and the group travels together to the royal kingdom. That night, Rapunzel gives Flynn the tiara, but he realizes as they watch the lanterns that it's Rapunzel he wants. Seeing his former accomplices, Flynn attempts to give them the tiara, but the pair are now working with Gothel. They make it appear that Flynn is escaping with the tiara, and Gothel, betraying the thieves, "rescues" the heartbroken Rapunzel and takes her back to the tower. Flynn, sentenced to be hanged for his crimes, learns of the treachery from the captured henchmen. The Snuggly Duckling regulars rescue Flynn and deliver him to Maximus, who takes him to the tower to find Rapunzel.

Meanwhile, Rapunzel realizes that she is actually the long-lost princess, and confronts Gothel with the revelation saying she will never let her use her hair again, infuriating Gothel. Flynn reaches the tower, but upon entering, he sees Rapunzel bound and gagged and is stabbed by Gothel. Rapunzel pledges to remain with Gothel forever if she can heal Flynn's wounds. Gothel agrees, but before Rapunzel can heal him, Flynn, saying that he would rather die than have her trapped forever, cuts off her long hair, destroying its healing power. Gothel screams in horror as her true age begins to catch up to her, and as she writhes, she trips on Rapunzel's hair and falls out of the tower window, turning to dust before she hits the ground. Flynn and Rapunzel reveal their love for each other, then Flynn dies from his wounds. Heartbroken, she starts to cry and sing then a magic tear lands on Flynn's cheek and brings him back to life. Surprised and overjoyed Rapunzel pulls Flynn forward for a kiss. The group returns to the castle, where the royal family is reunited at last. Flynn is pulled into the embrace, and after a celebration of Rapunzel's return, Flynn and Rapunzel are married, and they live happily ever after as the pub thugs fulfill their individual aspirations, and Maximus becomes a respected official on the Royal Guard.

Source : Wikipedia

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows is a 2010/2011 two-part epic fantasy film directed by David Yates, written by Steve Kloves and based on the novel of the same name by J. K. Rowling. The film is produced by Rowling along with David Heyman and David Barron. The two parts form the seventh and final instalment in the Harry Potter film series, with the story following Harry Potter on a quest to find and destroy Lord Voldemort's secret to immortality – the Horcruxes. The film stars Daniel Radcliffe as Harry Potter, alongside Rupert Grint and Emma Watson as Harry's best friends, Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger. The film also features Ralph Fiennes, Helena Bonham Carter and Alan Rickman.

Principal photography for both parts began on 19 February 2009 (2009-02-19) and was completed on 12 June 2010 (2010-06-12),[7] with the final day of reshoots on 21 December 2010 marking the franchise's closure of ten years of filming.[8] Part 1 was released in IMAX formats on 19 November 2010, and Part 2 will be released in 3D, along with 2D formats, in IMAX on 15 July 2011 (2011-07-15).[3][9][10][11] The film will also be released with D-BOX motion code in select cinemas.

Part 1 of the film opened as the franchise's biggest opening to date with $125 million, which is also the second-highest November opening at the American and Canadian box office behind The Twilight Saga: New Moon, the second biggest opening of 2010 behind Iron Man 2, and the sixth-highest of all-time, as well as to a worldwide 3-day opening of $330 million, the fifth-highest worldwide opening of all-time, and grossed $927 million, making it the third-highest grossing film of 2010, behind Toy Story 3 and Alice in Wonderland,[12] and the 12th highest-grossing film of all-time worldwide.[13]

Plot

Part 1

Minister Rufus Scrimgeour addresses the wizarding media stating that the Ministry of Magic will remain strong as Lord Voldemort gains power throughout the Wizarding and Muggle worlds. Severus Snape arrives at Malfoy Manor to inform Lord Voldemort and his Death Eaters of Harry's departure from No. 4 Privet Drive. Voldemort relieves Lucius Malfoy of his wand, as his own cannot be used to kill Harry.

Meanwhile, the Order of the Phoenix arrive at Privet Drive and escort Harry to safety using Polyjuice Potion to create six decoy Harrys. During their flight to the Burrow they are ambushed by Death Eaters, resulting in the deaths of Mad-Eye Moody and Hedwig. Voldemort attempts to kill Harry with Malfoy's wand, but fails. At the Burrow, Harry has a vision in which he sees Mr. Ollivander being tormented by Voldemort, who claims that the wand-maker had lied to him by informing him of the only way to kill Harry: obtaining another's wand.

Scrimgeour arrives at the Burrow and distributes items from Albus Dumbledore's will to Ron, Hermione and Harry. Ron receives Dumbledore's Deluminator; Hermione, a copy of The Tales of Beedle the Bard; and Harry is given the Golden Snitch. It's revealed that Harry was also willed to receive the Sword of Godric Gryffindor, however Scrimgeour states that the sword is an important historical artifact and is not eligible to be given away.

Later, the wedding of Bill Weasley and Fleur Delacour is disrupted by Death Eaters, who have infiltrated the Ministry and are using its authority to persecute Muggle-born witches and wizards. The trio disapparate to London and find sanctuary at No. 12 Grimmauld Place. There they discover that the "R.A.B." from the false Horcrux locket is Regulus Arcturus Black, Sirius Black's brother. From Kreacher, they learn that Mundungus Fletcher has stolen the real locket. Kreacher and Dobby apprehend Fletcher, who reveals that the locket is in the possession of Dolores Umbridge. Under the disguise of Polyjuice Potion, the trio infiltrate the Ministry and successfully retrieve the locket, escaping into the wilderness.

Unable to destroy the Horcrux, they take turns wearing it in order to dilute its negative psychological effects. Harry sees a vision of Voldemort interrogating Gregorovitch, a renowned wand-maker who claims that a teenage boy had once stolen the legendary Elder Wand from his shop. Voldemort then begins to search for the thief. While Ron wears the locket, he is overcome with the suspicion that Harry and Hermione are forming a relationship. As a result, he abandons them. Harry and Hermione then visit Godric's Hollow where they seek Bathilda Bagshot, the historian who may have the Sword of Gryffindor which they believe will destroy Horcruxes. However, they are cornered by Voldemort's snake, Nagini, and they barely escape. Hermione identifies the mysterious thief seen in Harry's vision as Gellert Grindelwald.

When evening falls, Harry sees a doe Patronus and follows it to a frozen pond where he finds Gryffindor's sword beneath the ice. Harry, with the locket around his neck, dips into the water to reach the sword. The locket attempts to drown him but Ron returns just in time to rescue Harry. Ron struggles to destroy the locket, but eventually overcomes its power and stabs it with the sword.

The trio then visit Xenophilius Lovegood to learn about a symbol seen several times on their journey. They learn that the symbol represents the Deathly Hallows: the Elder Wand, the Resurrection Stone and the Cloak of Invisibility. Lovegood then betrays them to the Death Eaters in an effort to have his kidnapped daughter returned. Among the chaos, Harry envisions Grindelwald telling Voldemort that the Elder Wand lies with Dumbledore. The trio are captured and taken to Malfoy Manor where Bellatrix Lestrange imprisons Harry and Ron in a wine cellar in which they discover Luna, Ollivander, and Griphook the goblin. Bellatrix tortures Hermione for information on how they found the goblet, which was supposedly in Bellatrix's vault at Gringotts. Dobby apparates to the cellar and rescues them, but is killed by Bellatrix in the process of escaping.

Voldemort arrives at Dumbledore's tomb and obtains the Elder Wand, which Voldemort believes is the key to kill Harry Potter and give him ultimate power.

Source : Wikipedia

Megamind

Megamind is a 2010 3D animated superhero comedy film produced by DreamWorks Animation and Red Hour Productions, and distributed by Paramount Pictures. The film was released in the United States in Digital 3D, IMAX 3D and 2D on November 5, 2010. It features the voices of Will Ferrell, Tina Fey, Jonah Hill, David Cross with Brad Pitt and Ben Stiller.[2] The film is directed by Tom McGrath.[2]

Plot

Megamind (Will Ferrell) is a super-intelligent alien who — at only eight days old — is sent to Earth by his parents as his home planet is destroyed by a black hole. However, he lands in the Prison for the Criminally Gifted at Metro City, thanks to another infant alien similarly sent from a different planet who eventually becomes a superhero known as Metro Man (Brad Pitt), defender of the fictional Metro City. As a result, whilst Metro Man is a gifted celebrity, Megamind is a neglected outcast, due to his destructive intellect, with his piranha-like sidekick Minion (David Cross) as his only friend. Realizing that he is only gifted in causing trouble, and jealous of all of the attention and praise young Metro Man receives, Megamind becomes a supervillain to rival Metro Man, though he is thwarted on a regular basis.

During one of his many attempts to defeat Metro Man, Megamind kidnaps news reporter Roxanne Ritchi (Tina Fey) and uses her as bait to lure Metro Man into the city observatory where Megamind intends to kill him with a death ray. The plan appears flawed enough for Metro Man to escape, but he proclaims that the inside of the observatory is lined with copper, which he says drains his power. Metro Man is then seemingly killed by the death-ray. Megamind is initially thrilled that he has defeated his archenemy, and he proceeds to live the criminal dream life, taking over town hall and plundering the city. However, he soon grows depressed over the fact that without someone to fight, his life as a supervillain no longer has any purpose.

Megamind runs into a museum curator named Bernard (Ben Stiller) while destroying the Metro Man Museum and, trying to avoid Roxanne, disguises himself as him, dehydrating the real Bernard. Roxanne inadvertently inspires him to create a new superhero to fight, which he does using a serum of Metro Man's DNA. Hoping to uncover any evil plans Megamind has for the city, Roxanne breaks into Megamind's lair and fights with him over a syringe gun containing the serum, which is accidentally fired and injected into Roxanne's cameraman Hal Stewart (Jonah Hill). Megamind manipulates Hal into becoming a superhero and calls him Titan under the guise of being his "space dad", but at the same time falls in love with Roxanne and begins dating her while disguised as Bernard-even sharing some of his own past (although still disguised) with her. Hal, who calls himself Tighten, attempts to use his powers to woo Roxanne (thinking that a "hero" always gets the girl), but is quickly spurned by Roxanne- who has learned of Megamind's plans to make a new hero- and grows jealous of Bernard/ Megamind. Megamind soon begins having second thoughts about being a villain, finding more enjoyment pursuing a relationship with Roxanne . Minion discovers this relationship and quarrels with Megamind over it, claiming that "the bad guy doesn't get the girl!" Frustrated, Megamind then yells that he doesn't want to be the "bad guy" anymore. He tells Minion to go and that he doesn't need him, causing their long friendship to appear irreparably lost.

After Roxanne kisses "Bernard" on a date, Megamind's identity is accidentally exposed, causing Roxanne (who cannot reconcile his true emotional nature with his past evil deeds) to reject him. Heartbroken, Megamind follows through with his plan to fight Tighten. He prepares a large battle mech, puts on an elaborate cape -called "The Black Mamba"- Minion made for him before their quarrel, and makes a grand appearance in the town plaza. He ends up spending most of the day there waiting for Tighten to show up, before going to his apartment. By this time, Tighten has decided he would rather be a supervillain. Disgusted, Megamind provokes Tighten by revealing he is both the "space dad" and Bernard. Utterly furious at the fact that Megamind was the "intellectual dweeb" who got Roxanne's affections, Hal attacks with a vengeance-and has no qualms with outright killing Megamind. Megamind is forced to flee for his life. Hal then starts destroying Metro City in revenge for Roxanne spurning him and bottled-up resentment from a lifetime of rejection.

During the battle, Megamind attacked Tighten with a copper sphere, but is shocked to see Tighten escape it with ease. Confused and shocked about this inconsistency, Megamind convinces Roxanne to search for clues about his weaknesses in Metro Man's old hideout-which turns out to be the school where both Metro Man and Megamind went as children. There, they discover that Metro Man is still alive and learn that he faked his death (and his weakness to copper) so that he could retire from being a superhero. He does this after realizing that he'd lived his entire life based on what people expected of him, never making a choice about what he really wanted-which is to be a musician. Megamind and Roxanne try to persuade Metro Man to defeat Tighten, but he refuses. Roxanne and Metro Man instead prompt Megamind to fight, but he refuses, still believing himself unworthy of assuming the hero role, and leaves to turn himself in to the prison that was his home since childhood. However, when Tighten kidnaps Roxanne, Megamind appeals to the warden to let him go to save her. When the warden adamantly refuses, Megamind acknowledges his distrust but pleads for the chance to spare Roxanne (and the city) from his enemy's hate and refuses to let them pay for his own wrongdoings. The warden, in a surprise twist, reveals himself to be Minion, who has returned to support his friend upon getting an apology. The two set off for the final battle. At this time, Tighten reveals via camera that he intends to destroy Metro Tower- with Roxanne tied to its pinnacle- to destroy both Roxanne and the memory of her rejection forever. Despite her attempts to bring out the remaining good in Hal, he mocks her for her supposed naiveté ("You see the good in everybody, even when it's not there.") and makes it clear that he has no regrets about his actions.

Minion, disguised as Megamind, rescues Roxanne but breaks his fish bowl head in the process- losing water and gasping for breath. Metro Man then miraculously shows up, but is actually Megamind in disguise. He manages to intimidate Tighten into fleeing the city, until he accidentally calls Metro City "Metrosity" (Megamind mispronounces simple words as he has no real contact with the outside world). After a beating from Tighten and getting flung into the air with the Defuser Gun (apparently to his death) which leads back to the first scene, Megamind defeats him by using his Dehydration gun to safely land in a fountain in Metro City's main square, and uses the Defuser Gun to remove Hal's unearned powers just before he can incinerate Roxanne. Minion is almost dead, but still lives when Megamind carefully throws him in the fountain. Hal ends up in Megamind's former prison cell, while Megamind is embraced by Metro City as its new defender. Roxanne accepts Megamind. Megamind decides he is deeply satisfied with his new role as the hero and Roxanne's boyfriend, as a disguised Metro Man hiding in the crowd silently congratulates him.

A post-credits scene shows Minion doing the laundry, only for Bernard - who was "de-hydrated" by one of Megamind's weapons and turned into a small cube — to pop out of the washing machine claiming that this was the worst day of his life; Minion then responds and whacks him with a forget-me-stick.

Source : Wikipedia

Jackass 3D

Before the movie begins, a brief introduction is made by Beavis and Butt-head explaining the 3D technology behind the movie. The intro features the cast lining up and then being attacked by various objects in slow-motion. The intro (as well as most of the stunts in the movie) was filmed with the Phantom high speed cameras which shoots at 1,000fps.

Jackass 3D follows the same premise as the first two movies, as well as the TV series. It is a compilation of various pranks, stunts and skits, and essentially has no plot. Some of the stunts that were featured in the movie included, tether ball being played with a beehive filled with Africanized bees, a tooth being pulled out with a Lamborghini, using super mighty glue to take off chest hair and much more. The final stunt includes Steve-O being launched in the air while inside a port-a-potty (which was achieved by connecting the port-a-potty to bungee cords) filled with various excrement.

The closing bit is done in a similar fashion as the intro, but using explosions (while objects being thrown at the cast). After the explosions are finished, the cast members are flushed away by a wave pool. Like the past movies, comedian Rip Taylor makes an appearance before the credits roll. As the credits come to a close, a retrospective is shown with clips from the original show along with old photographs of cast and crew set to Weezer's "Memories", the movie's single.

The Social Network

The Social Network is a 2010 drama film about the founding of the social networking website Facebook and the resulting lawsuits. The film was directed by David Fincher and features an ensemble cast including Jesse Eisenberg, Andrew Garfield, Justin Timberlake, Brenda Song, Armie Hammer, Max Minghella, Rashida Jones, and Rooney Mara.

Aaron Sorkin adapted his screenplay from Ben Mezrich's 2009 nonfiction book The Accidental Billionaires. Sorkin also makes a cameo appearance as a would-be investor. No Facebook personnel, including founder Mark Zuckerberg, were involved with the project, although Eduardo Saverin was a consultant for Mezrich's story.[3] The film was released in the United States by Columbia Pictures on October 1, 2010 to critical acclaim, despite controversy surrounding the accuracy of the portrayals of the film's characters.

Plot

In 2003, Harvard University student Mark Zuckerberg (Jesse Eisenberg) has the idea to create a website to rate the attractiveness of female Harvard undergraduates after his girlfriend Erica Albright (Rooney Mara) breaks up with him. Mark hacks into the databases of various residence halls, downloads pictures and names of female students and, in a few hours, using an algorithm for ranking chess players supplied by his best friend Eduardo Saverin (Andrew Garfield), he creates a website called "FaceMash", where male students can iteratively choose which of two girls presented at a time is more attractive.

Mark is punished with six months of academic probation after the traffic to the site brings down parts of Harvard's network, and becomes vilified among most of Harvard's female community. However, the popularity of "FaceMash" and the fact that he created it in one night, while drunk, brings him to the attention of Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss (Armie Hammer), identical twins and members of Harvard's rowing team, and their business partner Divya Narendra (Max Minghella). As a result, he gains a job working for the Winklevoss twins as the programmer of their website, Harvard Connection.

Soon afterwards, Mark approaches Eduardo and tells him of his idea for what he calls "Thefacebook", an online social networking website exclusive to Harvard University students. He explains this would let people share personal and social information securely. Eduardo agrees to help Mark, providing $1,000 to help start the site. They distribute the link to Eduardo's connections at the Phoenix S-K final club, and it quickly becomes popular throughout the student body. When they learn of Thefacebook, the Winklevoss twins and Narendra believe that Zuckerberg had stolen their idea while simultaneously stalling on their website. Tyler and Divya want to sue Mark for intellectual property theft, but Cameron convinces them they can settle the matter as "Harvard gentlemen" without resorting to the courts.

At a visiting lecture by Bill Gates, fellow Harvard University student Christy Lee (Brenda Song) introduces herself and her best friend Alice Cantwel (Malese Jow) to Eduardo and Mark. She asks that the boys "Facebook us"; their use of this phrase impresses both of them. Christy invites them to a bar, where she and Eduardo have sex in the restroom. Mark later runs into Erica, who is not aware of The Facebook's existence because she is not a Harvard University student. Stung by this, Mark decides to expand the site to more schools.

As The Facebook grows in popularity, they expand to other schools in the Northeastern United States, while the Winklevoss twins and Narendra become angrier at seeing "their idea" advance without them. Cameron refuses to sue them, instead accusing Mark of violating the Harvard student Code of Conduct. Through their father's connections they arrange a meeting with Harvard President Larry Summers, who is dismissive and sees no potential value in either a disciplinary action or in Thefacebook website itself.

Through Christy, now Eduardo's girlfriend, Eduardo and Mark arrange a meeting with Napster co-founder Sean Parker (Justin Timberlake). When Christy, Mark, and Eduardo meet Sean Parker, Eduardo becomes skeptical of Parker, noting his problematic personal and professional history. Christy also notes that Eduardo seems jealous of Parker, and attempts to calm him in order to avoid causing a scene. Mark, however, is impressed with Parker, who presents a vision for Facebook similar to his own. Although no deals are reached, in a parting comment, Parker suggests that they drop "The" from Thefacebook, to make it simply "Facebook". Eduardo later characterizes this as Parker's biggest contribution to the project.

At Parker's suggestion, Mark moves the company's base of operation to Palo Alto, while Eduardo remains in New York seeking advertising support. When Eduardo visits from New York, he is angered to find that Parker is living at the house they have rented and is making business decisions for Facebook. After an argument with Mark, Eduardo freezes the company's bank account and returns to New York. Upon returning, Christy argues with Eduardo about his Facebook profile, which still lists him as "single". When Christy questions Eduardo about why he has not changed his Facebook profile, he tells her he does not know how to, further infuriating Christy because she believes he is lying. She cites his profile as evidence he cheated on her with promiscuous women in Silicon Valley and subsequently sets fire to a scarf he has given to her as a gift. While Eduardo extinguishes the fire, Mark reveals on the phone that they have secured money from an angel investor through Parker's contacts. As a result of Christy's arson attempt, Eduardo ends his relationship with her.

Meanwhile in England, while competing in the Henley Royal Regatta for Harvard, the Winklevoss twins discover that Facebook has expanded to a number of universities there. They decide to sue. Eduardo discovers that the deal he signed with Parker's investors has allowed them to dilute his share of the company from thirty-four percent to three hundredths of a percent, while maintaining the ownership percentage of all other parties. He confronts his erstwhile friend Mark and announces his intention to sue him. Later that night, during a party celebrating Facebook's 1 millionth member, Parker and a number of Facebook interns are arrested for possession of cocaine.

The framing device throughout the film shows Mark testifying in depositions in two lawsuits: one filed by the Winklevoss twins, and the other filed by Eduardo. In the final scene, Marilyn Delpy (Rashida Jones), a junior lawyer for the defense informs Mark they will be settling with Eduardo, since the sordid details of Facebook's founding and Mark's personality will make a jury highly unsympathetic. The film ends with Mark sending a friend request to his former girlfriend Erica on Facebook, and refreshing the page every few seconds waiting for a response.

Source : Wikipedia

Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps

Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps, also known as Wall Street 2, is a 2010 American drama film directed by Oliver Stone, that is a sequel to the 1987 movie Wall Street. Michael Douglas reprises his role of Gordon Gekko and Shia LaBeouf, Josh Brolin, Carey Mulligan, and Frank Langella also star in the film. Cameos include Charlie Sheen, who reprises his role as Bud Fox, Stone and the filmmaker's mother.

Set in New York, the film takes place 23 years after the original and revolves around the 2008 financial crisis. Its plot mainly centers on the reformed Gekko acting as more of an antihero rather than a villain and follows his attempts to help Wall Street before its soon-to-be stock market crash as well as trying to repair his relationship with his daughter Winnie with the help of Jacob, her fiance. In return, Gekko helps Jacob get revenge on the man he blames for his mentor's death.

The movie's story and screenplay were written by Bryan Burrough, Allan Loeb and Stephen Schiff. Principal photography took place in New York between September and November 2009. After having its release date moved twice, Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps was released theatrically on September 24, 2010 worldwide by 20th Century Fox. Despite opening to positive reception from critics at the 2010 Cannes Film Festival, it was released to mixed reviews from movie reviewers, who generally praised the acting of the movie's cast. Commissioning $130 million against a $70 million budget at the box office, Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps received a December 21, 2010 home media release.

Source : Wikipedia

The Town

The Town is a 2010 American crime film starring, co-written and directed by Ben Affleck that is adapted from Chuck Hogan's novel Prince of Thieves.[4][5] The film opened in theaters in the United States on September 17, 2010 to overwhelmingly positive reviews, with Rotten Tomatoes giving it a "Certified Fresh" rating with 94% positive critical reviews. Jim Varney, who played Slinky Dog in the first two films, and Joe Ranft, who portrayed Wheezy and Lenny, died before production began on the third film. The role of Slinky was taken over by Blake Clark, while Ranft's characters and various others were written out of the story (Wheezy was mentioned in the beginning). New characters include voice-overs by Ned Beatty, Timothy Dalton, Bonnie Hunt, Whoopi Goldberg, Jeff Garlin and Michael Keaton.

Toy Story 3 was released worldwide in June, July and August. The feature broke the record of Shrek the Third as the biggest single day North American (aka 'domestic') gross for an animated film unadjusted for inflation and a big opening with an unadjusted gross of $110,307,189.[4][5] It is also the highest grossing opening weekend for a Pixar film, as well as the highest grossing opening weekend for a film to have opened in the month of June. Toy Story 3 is currently the highest-grossing film of 2010 in the United States and Canada, and the second highest-grossing film of 2010 worldwide, behind Alice in Wonderland. In July, it surpassed Finding Nemo to become Pixar's highest ever grossing film at the North American box office, and in early August, the film became Pixar's highest-grossing film worldwide and surpassed Shrek 2 as the highest-grossing animated film of all-time worldwide.[6][7]

References :

^ "Twitter.com". It is an extension of Lewis Carroll's novels Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking-Glass. The film uses a technique of combining live action and 3D animation.

In the film, Alice is now nineteen years old and accidentally returns to Underland (misheard by Alice and believed to be called Wonderland), a place she visited thirteen years previously. She is told that she is the only one who can slay the Jabberwocky, a dragon-like creature controlled by the Red Queen who terrorizes Underland's inhabitants. Burton said the original Wonderland story was always about a girl wandering around from one weird character to another and he never felt a connection emotionally, so he wanted to make it feel more like a story than a series of events. He does not see this as a sequel to previous films, nor as a re-imagining.[3] It premiered in London at the Odeon Leicester Square on February 25, 2010, and was released in Australia on March 4, 2010, and the United States and the United Kingdom on March 5, 2010, through IMAX 3D and Disney Digital 3D, as well as in traditional theaters.

In addition to being Burton's highest-grossing film, Alice in Wonderland spent three weeks as the #1 movie in the United States and Canada, is currently the highest grossing film of 2010 internationally, and currently ranks as the 5th highest-grossing film of all time.[4] Despite its short theatrical-release window, it is also only the sixth film ever to cross the $1-billion mark in worldwide grosses. It is also the second film produced and released by Walt Disney Pictures, as well as the only springtime release, to accomplish this feat.[5][6]

^ "Alice in Wonderland rated PG by the BBFC". British Board of Film Classification. http://www.bbfc.co.uk/website/Classified.nsf/ClassifiedWorks/7bcfb1e063b1f34f802576cc00604c1e. The film stars Leonardo DiCaprio, Ken Watanabe, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Marion Cotillard, Ellen Page, Tom Hardy, Cillian Murphy, Dileep Rao, Tom Berenger, and Michael Caine. DiCaprio plays Dom Cobb, a specialized spy or corporate espionage thief. His work consists of secretly extracting valuable commercial information from the unconscious mind of his targets while they are asleep and dreaming. Unable to visit his children, Cobb is offered a chance to regain his old life in exchange for an almost impossible task: inception, the planting of an idea into a target's subconscious.[5]

Development began roughly nine years before Inception was released. In 2001, Nolan wrote an 80-page treatment about dream-stealers, presenting the idea to Warner Bros. The story was originally written as a horror film, inspired by concepts of lucid dreaming and dream incubation.[6]

Feeling he needed to have more experience with large-scale films,[7] Nolan opted to work on Batman Begins, The Prestige, and The Dark Knight. He spent six months polishing up the script for Inception before Warner Bros. purchased it in February 2009.[8] Filming spanned six countries and four continents, beginning in Tokyo on June 19, 2009, and finishing in Canada in late November of the same year.

Inception was officially budgeted at $160 million, a cost that was split between Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures.[3] Nolan's reputation and success with The Dark Knight helped secure the film's $100 million in advertising expenditure.[3] Inception premiered in London on July 8, 2010, and was released in both conventional and IMAX theaters on July 14, 2010.[9][10] Released to critical acclaim, the film grossed over $21 million on its opening day, with an opening weekend gross of $62.7 million.[4]

Source : Wikipedia

Despicable Me Trailer

Despicable Me is a 2010 computer-animated 3-D feature film from Universal Pictures.

In a happy suburban neighborhood surrounded by white picket fences with flowering rose bushes, sits a black house with a dead lawn.
