The basic idea behind John Chow Dot Com was to teach new aspiring bloggers how to make money with their blogs. And the tag line of John’s blog “I Make Money Online Telling People How I Make Money Online” was well justified in initial years of operation. But now it looks like John Chow has forgot what his tag line stands for. He still earns handsome five figures with his blog. But he no more tells his reader how he makes it. And something similar is happening on Daily Blog Tips Dot Com now days.

He Is Not Doing What He Does Best:

An a-list blogger who is know for his brilliance and authority in blogging community, seems to have forgot why he is getting all this attention and affection from thousands of people all around the cyber space. Or at least that’s what DBT’s recent updates suggest. A favorite blog of millions of reader looking for blogging advice and marketing tips, have transformed it self into a place for review and news of web tools and services.

So what is the reason behind this change in Daniel Sococco’s blog post style and quality?

Is It Writer’s Block?

I believe you all are very much familiar with this nasty term “writer block”. And you must have read many posts on writer’s block lately so there is no point in rehearsing it here. But is you are struggling with it then there are many foolproof strategies to deal with writer block. But if your blog archive is as big as Daily Blog Tips then its even easier for you to beat the bugger, then a relatively small blogs like this one.

Recycle Your Blog: This tactic is particularly useful and effective for blogs which have produced boatload of content. That have created significant buzz in blogsphere. All you have to do is select bunch of evergreen articles from your archive, rewrite it with new aspect add few new points and publish it as series of post.

The best example of this strategy’s success and effectiveness is Problogger’s 31days to Building a Better Blog challenge, Darren’s 31days to Building a Better Blog challenge is recycled version of his 31 old posts, with spice of new improvement in blog sphere and his signature style (see the world from other end).

Invite Guest Blogger: Its not hard to find few people to write for an a-list blogger like Daniel , When you ranked in top 10 blogger in your niches, usually people buzz you all the time with their best works for one chance to address your reader.

Hire writer: If you think guest post from different people will effect your blogs quality and reputation, then paid writer is best option for you. Find couple of freelance writer who will take care of your writing duty for few bucks.

Round Up Post (Best Of Your Blog): An a-list blogger with more then thousand post under his belt have many reason to do periodic roundup styles of post. And I believe every blogger must do it time to time. Its fast and easy to produce, it gives quick flashback of your work to your old readers (it also help your new readers find your best work). And the SEO benefits of Internal Linking is added bonus.

There is great deal of ideas and strategies like those above to conquer the writer block, But to believe a blogger like Daniel Scocco don’t know it or have lack of inspiration or creativity is height of stupidity (though the evidence so far suggests he doesn’t). A guy who is considered as a great thinker of blogging community couldn’t possibly be short of idea or inspirations for new blog post.

So is it Success Overload Then?

Success of any project Is like bungee jumping, Initial thrill is full with lots of ups and downs but it eventually lefts you hanging in between. And that’s what seems to be happening with our beloved entrepreneur blogger, success of his 1st venture inspired him to start new projects one after another (Daily Blog Tips, Daily Bits, and Daily Writing Tips ) but this series of new projects left him clueless about his goal. Result, his Flagship blog is compromised for success of his other blogs and projects, DBT is not getting enough care and attention from his editor.

What ever is the reason behind this sudden change in Daniel Scocco’s posting style and quality. It is surely affecting DBTs popularity and authority. It use to be in technorati’s top 20 authority blogs list last year , but as of today it stands at 226 ,Not even in to 100. And its not only authority that’s dropping day by day. DBT seems to loosing it RSS Subscribers as well. <del datetime="2009-06-03T08:00:17+00:00">Once it use to have nearly 35k subscriber, but to days its RSS counter shows 21k odd, that’s more 33% drop in subscribers since last few months.</del>

Update From Daniel:

I just wanted to point out that you got your numbers wrong though. The most blatant one is the number of RSS readers. As of December 2008 we had around 15,000 RSS readers, and today we have 21,000, which is the highest we ever had. We never had 35,000, you must be confused with some other blog.

You can verify this with the feed analysis tool: http://www.blogperfume.com/feed-analysis/index.php?months=24&uri=http%3A%2F%2Ffeeds2.feedburner.com%2FDailyBlogTips

If things continue to be how it is now day on DBT, i am afraid to say the day is not to far in future when people refer to Daniel Scocco as ex-professional blogger.

Every Webmaster is familiar with the power of inbound link from relevant sites and web pages how it passes the page rank or link juice. And many believes that Google solely relay on these links while assigning page rank or authority. Which is not entirely true, these links certainly play an important role in your sites SEO, but they are not the only important links. Your contextual internal links are equally important, Infect Well planed Internal Linking Strategy has greater chance to secure your place in Top 10 result in Google SEPRs.

Internal Links helps you get all of your pages indexed in the search engines by reminding search engine spiders that your old pages still exist and it is worth giving some value to. It improves the usability of your blog as well as And helps you escape Google’s Sandbox prison.

Use Something Better Then Click Here:

Anchor text has an impact upon how your site ranks for those words. It tells search engines (and your reader) what information the link contains, if you use throw away phrase like”click here” as the Anchor text people may click on it (I wouldn’t though) because it is great calls to action, but provide very little in the way of telling the search engines (or the visitor) what the linked page is all about.

Example 1: If I link to my post about Google send box effect post like this.
“To know How to Deal With Google Sandbox Effect Click Here”

You will click on it to read more about Google sandbox, but Google won’t pass value to the destination page for the term “Google Sandbox Effect” it will pass value for “click here”. (Do I want to link higher for click here? Of course not)

Example 2: But If I link to same post like this.
“Follow this link to know How to Deal With Google Sandbox Effect”

You will still click on it, and Google will pass value to the destination page for the Phrase How to Deal With Google Sandbox Effect, as well as Google Sandbox Effect. Because it got my desired Keyword as anchor text and call to action. And you know exactly what to expect when you click that link.

Target Long Tail Keyword in Anchor text:

Competitive keywords require domain age, trusted links from a variety of sources, while Long tail keywords are easier to rank for, and if done right it can drive more traffic then to 10 keywords of your niche, instead of targeting top keywords target less competition Long Tail version (like Blog Search Engine Optimization) rather than targeting core competitive keyword SEO.

rel=”nofollow” Irrelevant Links:

it is wise to nofollow pages like FAQs, Privacy Policies or Disclaimers, which is not relevant to your overall blog content, to control the flow of link juice and point it to more relevant and important pages. For Example first link in anchor text explanation point is nofollow while 2nd link with descriptive anchor text is dofollow

Use Link Title:

Link Title tag lets you adds short description about link’s destination page when user hover cursor on it. its like an alt tag in images. Now this won’t help your SEO, but it will surely help you improve your Blog’s Usability, Use title tag in link while linking to Category or Archive pages which usually don’t have much to add in anchor text.

How to use title tags?
The HTML code for making my name into an anchor is
<a href="your link" TITLE="short description of destination page"> Your Anchor Text <a>
. This tells your reader what to expect from following the link.

Use Breadcrumb Trail:

In my previous post about 15 Blog Usability Tips we saw how it influence usability of your blog and help your reader navigate on your site, but breadcrumb is not only a navigation technique, it’s a hierarchical linking to more important pages of your Blog(site). Which increase the chance for your important page to rank higher for your most important keyword phrase.

Usability Benefits of Internal Linking:

When done right internal linking can improve your blogs over all usability. By linking to relevant content to your readers. Its more effective than your blogs main navigation.

Given Below are 15 tips for batter Usability and end-user experience.

Blog Identity:

When someone first comes to your site they try to figure out who are you? , What do you do? , what the site is all about? It’s vital to answer this questions quickly to engage reader with your Blog.

Let’s See How To Do It

Logo/Branding: Put your logo or emblem where it’s easy to find (Usually the Upper-left of your Header section)

Tagline: Like mine under the logo, it makes things clear for my 1st time visitor about my blog and its niche (What the site is all about)

About You/Company: Your about page serves as resume of your company or you (in case it’s a personal page), it makes things easier for people who need to learn more about you.

Blog Navigation:

Once your reader know who you are and what you do. Next thing they want is clear paths to the content that interests them.

Let’s See How to Improve Your Navigation

Navigation bar: Make your main pages like About, Contact, FAQ, Disclaimer, easily spot and accessible (just below you header)

Sitemap: Much of your site’s traffic comes from search engines, and 80% of that traffic is 1st timer on your blog. Sitemaps make navigating your site easier for them,

Link Your Logo To Home Page: This may sound like stupid advice, but people anticipate logos to link to home-pages, (and when it doesn’t the confusion follows.)

Use Breadcrumb Trail: Breadcrumb is a secondary navigation that shows people their current location in relation to the Web site’s hierarchy, it offers one click access to higher site level, and it is particularly useful for visitor who arrives on page deep within your blog via search engine or deep link from other blogs. It helps users learn the structure and hierarchy of the website

Internal Linking: Users are more likely to click on a link in the text of a page than those on a navigation bar, because it feels more relevant. When done right Internal Linking can improve both search rankings and usability.

Search Form: It’s a life saver for user like me who lack patience, Place it above the fold (preferably on navbar)
Subscription Option: Make it easy to subscribe by placing your subscriber widget in highly visible location (Above the fold on sidebar)

Content writing:

If you have read my post about Reader’s Online Behavior And Attitude, you will probably know that everything you have read so far (and what coming next) will do you no good if your visitors are navigating around badly written/formatted content.

How To Improve Your Content For Batter Reading Experience

Write simple: Heavy or sluggish words scare people who do not speak much English, Use words that are very common and require no endeavor on the part of the reader.

Most Important thing 1st: Deliver your most important information in first two paragraphs to keep you reader rooted.

Use h2 and h3, tags often: Highlight your keywords and main points, so a reader can pick out the main ideas right away

Be Descriptive in Headline: Don’t be cryptic in head line, Use brief headlines use conveying words

Don’t Try Anything Fancy (Fonts and Color): Stick to true type font and light background, Choose color combinations that are easy on the eyes.

Use Numeral list: Figure represent facts, its batter to say to 7 Ingredients Of Magnetic Blog, than seven Ingredients Of Magnetic Blog.

This 15 tweaks will making it easy for new readers to understand the site and trust the author.

Reading Web Content is hell of a task for Reader:

Reading from a computer screen is like 100 pushups for eyes, it tires you faster than printed content. It decreases your reading speed to 60% then reading printed content. That’s why your blog content has to be 50% shorter than print.

Readers don’t actually Read:

Study of usability expert Jakob Nielsen, suggest majority of readers on the Web tend skim highlighted words, hyperlinked text and bulleted lists rather than read word for word.

Readers are Raring to Go:

People reading your blog have no patience for obscure and intricate text, and they don’t enjoy scrolling through masses of text to get the information they want, their needs are specific and they want it fast.

Reader Suffer From Information Overload:

People using internet are surrounded by tons of information that they don’t have time to consume. That’s why they don’t want to waste time and attempt reading content that they may not find useful. Do you feel like this when you check your feed reader, or checking tweets and flickr photos from your mates?

Now that you know how people respond to web content, what is their mindset. How you can use this information to write Griping content that your readers can’t avoid.

Write Concise Headlines That Work.

Immediately Deliver In First Paragraph What Was Promised In The Headline

Put the most important point first.

Use objective language to build authority.

Don’t Make Exaggerated Claims That Can’t Be Fulfilled.

Don’t Use Overly Promotional Words Like “Great”, “Tremendous” etc.

Offer Your Readers Information In Amount Which Is Easily Digestible.

Use Shorter Sentences, Words And Paragraphs.

Use Punctuation Correctly.

Bullet Points.

What is rel=”canonical”?

It’s an element that allows you to publicly specify your preferred version of a URL. If you have multiple versions of a single page, which is very common in wordpress blog, this new element allows webmasters to specify which version search engines should use for the content. In short it tells Google and other search bots to consider all those pages and one. It also helps you consolidate authority, link popularity and Pagerank to your preferred version.

How do I use it?

The simplest way to add this tag in your html code is to install Canonical URL Links Wordpress Plugin and activate it. But don’t worry if your site is not WP blog, implementing rel=”canonical” is not a rocket science. You just need to add following tag in to header section where you put Title attribute and Meta Description tag. To Specify the canonical version.

<link rel="canonical" href="http://www.bloggerslab.com" />

This will tell search bots that the page it indexing should be treated as though it were a copy of the URL www.bloggerslab.com . And that all of the link & content measures the engines apply should technically go to that URL.

What are the benefits of this tag?

In past we all have faced the issue of multiple version of smaller content on various url. For instance all your blog post can be accessed from author page, categories, tags and sitemap (one like mine on Navigation bar) which creates big problems (confusion would be batter phrase for it)

Search engines can’t determine which version it should include/exclude from its index. (This leads to another puzzle)

Search engines can’t decide whether to direct the link metrics such as link popularity, link juice, authority, etc. to one page, or keep it separated between multiple versions.

Search engines don’t know which version(s) to rank higher in SERP.

When this happens, you suffer huge rankings and traffic losses and engines suffer lowered relevancy. In order to sort out this issue Google and other big search engines have come up with this new link element.

Will this affect my internal page rank?

This tag works only with very similar or identical content, so it won’t send all the link value from your entire site to your home page. Google have applied this safeguard to prevent abuse by other methods such as redirects.

You should use this tag if:

If your web page is a blog that displays similar content on different pages such as categories, author page and tags.

If you are selling product or services such as SEO or Web templates. That requires you to put one product in many categories or sub-categories.

This new tag won’t completely eliminate duplicate issues on the web, but it should help make things quite a bit easier. Webmasters and SEO practitioners have been asking for help with these issues for a long time so this should be a greatly welcomed addition.

You can read more about rel=”canonical” at Google Webmaster Central, Yahoo Search Blog and <as href="http://blogs.msdn.com/webmaster/archive/2009/02/12/partnering-to-help-solve-duplicate-content-issues.aspx" re;="tag"> Live Search Webmaster Center

Mistakes are a part of being human, but if you don’t learn from your mistake and keep repeating it you will end up looking stupid and arrogant, and today we are going to discuss those mistakes may kill your blog like a slow poison, and how to avoid it.

Irregular posting: If you go to a blog and the last update was two months ago, you know the blog isn’t being updated. And while it might contain tons of useful stuff from the past, there’s no reason to subscribe or keep coming back if you don’t think new posts are coming out regularly, I can personally confirm that because I have experienced it lately when I was away from this blog for almost 3 months, which cost me more than 80% of my subscribers and nearly same percent of daily page view.

Too many posts but very few useful: People expect useful and genuine information from you, that’s why they have come to your blog. But your 5 most recent posts are all updates about competitions or a new product you’re selling or a contest on another blog instead of something useful, do you think they will stay longer and dig through 10 non-useful posts just to find one useful post. Its good idea to make some money selling affiliate product weekly roundup of what’s happening in blogspher, but give your reader their daily dose of useful information too.

Novel type unscannable post: I have dedicated post about Scannable content so I won’t bore you again with same tips, but its highly important for your post to make it scannable. In this fast and busy world people want everything instantly, this same applies to information and news too, morel of the story , craft your post in a manner that your reader can scan it for points of their interest if they can find it within a minute they arrived on your blog you earned one more subscriber.

Every time trying to Sell something: I have subscribed to many really good blogs with lots of useful information, with excellent ambiance and user friendly layout, but what made me unsubscribe was their attempt to sell something every time like in every post, along with their sidebars and headers. , there is nothing wrong in it if you do paid review or do a book review with Amazon affiliate there’s nothing wrong with that from time to time. But in every post?

Insisting subscription: Don’t force the subscription on the reader, it’s too annoying. Let them review your site first, and then decide for themselves if they want to subscribe, a friendly reminder at the end of post or a subscription widget on top of your sidebar is ok, but hammering them with pop-up subscription banner is really frustrating, don’t be so desperate to see your subscriber count rise like Zimbabwe’s Inflation . Concentrate on building reader base; write unique and useful post regularly and your subscriber count will increase automatically.

Not Replying To Any Comments: You try many strategies and plugins to make your reader comment, what good would it do if your readers or commentators are left talking to themselves? Normally, they would expect to hear your point of view especially when they ask a question in the comment. Interacting with your readers and commentators works batter then any plugin or strategy, it actually helps You Convert Your One Time Visitor into a Loyal Reader.

Not networking with other bloggers: If you’re not going to reach out to the blogging world, who is going to know you? You are not linking to other blogger because you think because it will increase their Page Rank and technocratic authority. You don’t ask questions to other blogger cause you think you too smart to do so. This is quite a childish thought actually, linking out generously, commenting and asking question on other blogs can be really helpful, If you can do this faithfully, you will realize that it batter for you then the blog you are linking to or commenting.

Writing reader engaging content is one of the prerequisite of blogging. You do every thing in your hand to write great content, content that will keep your blog reader glued to your blog. But how about thinking up the post your audience has been longing? How to write what your blog visitor love to read? or how to determine exactly what kind of posts your subscriber wants to see in their RSS reader?
In this post I’ll be discussing 4 strategies you can use to write what your reader want to read.

Ask Them What They Want:
The easiest way to know what your reader want is to ask them what they want. Ask your readers to submit ideas for posts they’d like to see on your blog. Host a poll every now and then, with topic of your choice. Do this every couple of months and you’ll have a list of ideas you can turn to when you are out of stock with Post idea.

Look for Potential Post Idea in Comments:
Comments are one of the most interesting part of blogging business, your comment counts and quality of comments determines how successful you are and what type of reader you attracts. But the most interesting thing about comments is its ability to provide you never ending flow of good ideas for your blog post. Many A-list blogger believe in these, and that’s why they encourage comments.

Sometimes you reader will ask you to expand on a section of your post. Either he wants more information on a specific point, a more detailed explanation of one of your ideas or a clear explanation of something that’s confused them. Instead of answering it in comment, you can turn your answer in a full-fledged post and use the answer to drive more traffic back to your original article.

Analyze Your Search Engine Traffic:
This is one thing that I do every day (I don’t write every day though). Analyzing search engine traffic can give you wealth of information in them that can be incredibly useful. What questions or phrase are readers typing into search engines to find your blog? What Keywords are sending traffic? Which Long tail string is most relevant to your blog content? All this information can help you know how to optimize your blog for SEO even better and can give hints on what content to write more of.

Web traffic analyzing programs like Woopra and Google Analytic can be really handy here. They give you clear picture about your regular and search engine traffic. But if you want clear view of your search engine traffic then I would suggest you to install Lijit plugin on your blog and signup for 103bees. These two services give you thorough exploration of your search traffic.

Reverse engineer what worked in past:
Look at your blog’s most popular post. You can build on their success by adapting the same format to new content. Let’s say one of your most popular posts was about “How to Optimize your blog for Search engine” you can Capitalize on the success of the first post by creating and update version “How not to Optimize your blog for Search Engine” or “Things to Consider while Optimizing Your Blog for Search Engine”

Another effective strategy is to apply the same post format and headline formula to a new subject. Your list of 21 Most Influential Blogger could be followed by a list of 21 Most Stupid Blog Editors or anything you can imagine (as long as it’s of interest to your target audience).

They won because they refused to become discouraged by their defeats.“ B. C. Forbes

These words are so true about blogging, like real life there are countless obstacles in your path of blogging success, today we are going to discuss 4 such obstacles of our blogging path, and how to overcome it.

Language, Grammar and Vocabulary:

Problem:

This is very common problem for no English bloggers like me (and countless other). Things become really horrible when I have a lot to say, but don’t have right word to express it. When it comes to writing I have limited vocabulary to explain everything without spoiling my message. This limitation of vocabulary use to frustrate me. before I adopted this new writing method

Solution:

In my early blogging day I use to write my post on Microsoft word, it’s in built spell and grammar checker was like a dream gift for me, but after few posts I realized what I was missing, I had very limited words. This forced me to find way to overcome it. After trying different writing method, I found this little lengthy process of writing, which is also time consuming but very useful for me, instead of writing my post in English now I write it in Hindi or Gujarati and then translate it to English, this gives me batter grip on my content and wide range of vocabulary.

Writing Content:

Problem:

Not every one is gifted like Brain Clark or Skellie who can write 10/20 post every day. Or like Darren Rowse who can write series of posts on any topic, be it RSS Subscription, Blog Promotion or Content writing, we new blogger often stuck in writers block. After posting 15/16 post we often meet the dead end of new idea for our next blog post.

Solution:

Joining the echo chamber of writer is the best way to keep your self occupied while stuck in writers block. Write what every one is writing about with your own thoughts and input about the topic. Shanker bakshi of shankerbakshi.com has great tips for you on how to re-write what every one is writing.

Filler Posts are another good substitute when you are left with nothing to write about, some blogger even uses it to maintain the posting frequency. Muhammad Siyab of puttingblogsfirst.com has some excellent ideas about filler post and how to maintain your post flow with it.

Blog Promotion:

Problem:

One thing that troubles every new blogger (and some relatively old ones) is spreading the word about their blog. Your killer titles and great compelling contents are worthless without proper promotion of your blog. I have seen few blogs great content, but there was no activity. This usually happens when your content doesn’t get enough exposure on social media sites like digg, stumbleupon and delicious

Solution:

The best way to promote your content and give it a quick exposure on social media site is to mail your blogging pals (I hope you have made at least 20 blogger friends now) and ask them to stumble and dig your content. Asking your reader for stumble and digg at the end of your post is another strategy that worked for many blogger.

Link building:

Problem:

Social media exposure is good for initial boost of traffic for your blog, but you need piles of link back from authority blogs within your niche for a regular flow of traffic. Expecting a link back or reference to your post without networking or building relation with other blogger would be optimistic to the point of stupidity. You need to build relation with blogger and those so called A-lister before you can ask for a link back from them.

Solution:

Link out generously: One way to make a real impression on another person is to be generous with them. Showcase their best work on your blog, refer their post and thoughts in your articles.

Start with blogger of your level: Approaching relatively new blogger have more chance of working out. And you can help each other drive significant traffic to your own blog. Offer help and consultation: Helping other blogger and reader of blogs you read often can really help you draw other in relation. When you don’t have solution for the problem point them to useful resources or person who can help them.

This creates a good impression upon both of the parties that you connect. Which will lead them come to you again if they have any confusion or difficulty. And you will become the ‘go to’ person, because they know you’ll either help them personally or point them to someone who can.

Join Webmaster Community: Webmaster community forums such as Authority Blogger and Digital Point can be really useful to start your hunt for potential blogging network. Join the discussion, share your thoughts, contact webmaster, and you will see building blogging network isn’t that difficult.

stick with longer more informative post while there is a group of publisher who favor shorter post.

These both school of thoughts have their own merits, and today we are going to discuss why.

Lets start with a I-Love-Short-Post- School.
if you ask professors of these school why they insist for short post you will get the usual answer.

Its Scannable and Reader Friendly:
study says only 16% of internet user read content word to word. Rest will only scan it for phrase of sentence that interest them, if they don’t find something that catch their fancy, they will probably leve your blog (not sure about you but Tom Volkar would surely do). with that being said keeping your content short and simple so that your users can scan it quickly becomes vital.

Shorter Attention spans:
People don’t usually spend a lot of time on a blog post, My Woopra stats shows my readers usually spend 1 to 1 and half minute. As stated earlier, they’ll first scan the post and if you manage to grab their attention, they’ll go back from the start and read the whole article. so keep your article shorter to grab your readers attention.

Quantity of post:
One point that many Blog Gurus argue is that short post allow you to write more posts, and that more posts are better for generating readership with RSS and in Search Engines. if your are intending to cover more things in one post, split it in a series of short (300 to 500 word) post.

When your should write the short post:
If you’re going to post on topics that are breaking news like Today’s Bomb Blast In new Delhi , it would be batter to keep it short and to the point with all the necessary information,

A short post has the advantage of being quickly and easily read, , if you’re considering writing short posts, make sure you keep a higher publishing rate. There is no point in publishing 2 paragraphs every week.

Those are some valid points that can convince a blogger to fall in love with short newsy type post,

Lets see what Don Lawson have to say about Longer post

Writing long blog posts is suitable for “opinion blogs”. Reviews, tutorials, editorials and guest posts usually require and tend to be longer and more insightful.

Here are 4 good points by Don in defense Longer post

If you want your post to rank high in Google SERPS and bring in loads of targeted organic search traffic, you’re more likely to do it with longer keyword optimized post than shorter ones.
You’ll naturally have more long tail keywords in your long blog post. which help you bring in more targeted traffic to your site.

Looking at it from SEO perspective, which post is more informative? A short one or long post? Google is in the business of delivering targeted relevant information to Internet searchers. Google’s algorithm searches for the most relevant and informative information on the Internet when you enter a search into the the search box. So which post do you think it will return higher in the SERPS? A 250 word post or a 1400 word article?

If you are running a content rich site with Adsense, you can increase your CTR with longer post and articles. Why? Because you’ll stand a better chance of the reader losing interest and clicking on an Adsense ad.

You may lose a few RSS subscribers who do not like long post, but you’ll also gain a few more readers who feel long post are more informative and detailed. They’ll see you as a detailed authority on the subject.

Since longer posts require more attention and more time to read, it’s indicated that you format your post well by using short paragraphs and subheadings, lists and images to break large blocks of text. Also a good introductory paragraph describing what your post is all about will catching your readers’ attention.

Conclusions:
There’s no golden rule about the perfect blog post length. In the end you need to find your own way on this. Deciding between short and long blog posts is also a matter or personal choice, some people like to publish three four time a day using short post, Blogger like my prefer more resourceful and well documented long post.

So now tell me, what’s your choice when it comes to deciding post length, and which post you prefer to read loooooooooooooooooong or short?
