After Miqat in the Mosque of Bir Ali and performing 2 rakaat of Solat Sunat Ihram, we already committed to the sacred state and prohibited in doing any of the violations including:

Men must not wear tailored cloths;
Men must not cover their head with anything;
Women can wear normal clothes, but must not wear gloves or cover their face;
Not using perfume;
Don't trim/cut the hair and nails;
Others, please consult your travel agent or muttawif if you're going.

Our journey to Makkah took us about 4 hours. Upon arrival, our immediate intentions was to get our luggage to the Dar El Eiman Hotel and perform the tawwaf and saie before ending our umrah with the tahallul (an act of cutting some of the hair to end the ihram sacred state). Ustaz Ramzi, a Siamese Tabung Haji Travel staff was at the hotel to assist us to our rooms. Then, we perform the wudhu and proceeded to Masjidil Harram, walking distance from our hotel.

From Safwa Towers entrance, staring at the magnificent, beautiful, superb, glorious, splendid, outstanding architecture of the Masjidil Harram Mosque, with the hot and windy weather, a very wonderful feeling struck me. My heart was pumping, anxious, wondering how I would feel to see the Kaaba. I started to peek through the structures looking for what have been my Qiblah of prayer throughout life. A feeling I have never felt before. Inexpressible through words. MashaAllah, MashaAllah, MashaAllah.

There it was, others consider it as nothing but a black box like building, but for Muslims, true Muslims, it is the path of prayer, the holiest building there is, one of the purpose in life among the five pillars in Islam(performing Hajj). I was touch by His hidayah. Some tears starts pouring from my eyes. I could not believe it, that I was there, I were there. The Baitullah was in the middle of the crowds. The flat ground around it was full with pilgrims performing the tawwaf. Praise be to Allah. Alhamdulillah.

Non-Muslims might ask, "Why do you pray to the Kaaba? Is your god inside there?" since they might not understand Islam. The answer is very simple, by substituting the question with someone talking on the hand phone, one may ask - "who are talking to? Is anybody inside the phone?" One may interact to someone but it doesn't mean that the person is there. The message is transferred through some kind of medium.

After reaching the wheel chair ramp to access the flat area around the Kaaba, we (Me, my father, my grandmother, and my father's other mother in law) encounter our first obstacle where we weren't allowed to pass by the police because the tawwaf area was too crowded and might not be safe for wheel chair users. I felt awkward of the situation, but some relief since there were about 5 other wheel chair users together within the situation. We waited for sometime and proceeded after about 45 minutes. Circling Baitullah 7 times anti-clock-wise, 2 rakaat solat sunat tawwaf, and we proceeded to perform the saie before finishing our first umrah with the tahallul. After some refreshment, we proceeded to Dar El Eiman to get some rest. We manage to do umrah 4 times throughout our stay there and visited many other places such as the camel farm..

Our umrah or may I say vacation to Arab Saudi was the best visit ever. Although the activities weren't much, my heart, body and soul was full with satisfaction. The surrounding was very religious, thus He have given me His hidayah and guidance. Syukur Alhamdulillah.

For those who is planning to visit, don't put high hopes on the locals. Their culture might be different than us from the east, and they are quite rude, spoken and body language.No matter the culture, what I love the most about our visit is the atmosphere in Masjidil Harram. If we compare to our mosques, we won't often see them crowded except for Jumaat prayer and Eid. In Masjidil Harram, people spend their time at the mosque reciting quran, praying rather than loitering without any good reason.

Assalamualaikum w.b.t. & Alhamdulillah,

Baitullah Al-Haram...

I never thought that 2011/1432H would be the year that Allah s.w.t would send me to Baitullah, the biggest mosque on earth, the holiest place for Muslims, which surrounds the Kaaba and can accommodate up to 4 million people in a single period. Al-Haram covers an area of 88.2 acres and is located between the hills in Mecca.

Our trip started from Kuching(me and my grandmother), where we flew to Kota Kinabalu to meet my father and his mother in law, before we adjourn to Brunei Darussalam to board the Brunei Royal Airline to Jeddah, the second largest city in Arab Saudi. The flight flew for about 8347 kilometers or 5187 miles or 4507 nautical miles (according to http://www.timeanddate.com) and took about 9 hours which was one of the longest flight I've ever boarded.

From Jeddah International Airport, we continued to Medina (332 kilometers) for about 3 hours. In the middle of the route, I remembered us stopping for breakfast to taste the local menu. My dad ordered 5 Pita Bread to be served with lamb curry, and astonishingly we were served with 5 packs of 5 Pita Breads making it altogether 25.

We were speechless gazing upon our breakfast, 25 Pita equivalent to 25 Roti Canai and they were only 5 of us. 'Aiyyaaa, siapa mau makan ini?' In the end, we manage to finish nearly 2 packs and brought the rest along our journey.

In Medina, we checked in at the Anwar Movenpick Hotel,

which is located very near to Masjid Nabawi @ also called the Prophet's mosque. For the few days we spent there, the mosque was our main place of visiting. We went there 5 times a day, and that was not even enough. From someone that only performed solat once in a while, I started to appreciate them, and from then I know what was this 'hidayah', a very wonderful thing one may receive from Him, or which is translated by http://www.islamic-dictionary.com/index.php?word=hidayah as "The actual guiding of someone to the true path.". Without hidayah from Allah, I would have still be the common me, someone not very serious about life and was less considerate on akhirat. For me, this 'hidayah' is much better than the earth and all its content combined.

Behind me is the Masjid Nabawi, from outside it's magnificent, inside it's even more beautiful. The mosque have lots of domes, and if you notice the green one behind me, below it is the tomb of our beloved prophet (Peace Be Upon Him), and between his tomb and the Pulpit or Mimbar is the Raudhah or some may call ar-Riaz-ul-Jannah, one of the sacred place believed to be part of heaven, where prayers are never rejected. During our stay in Medina, never during any Solat Fardhu was the mosque below 3 quarter occupied, and people flooded until outside the mosque during certain prayers especially Jumaat Prayer. Perhaps during every prayers the mosque was over-occupied since sometimes I prayed inside and was looking for opportunity to pray within Raudhah area, unaware of the crowds outside.

We stayed in Medina for 3 days and soon it was time for us to perform the Umrah. On the third day, we put on the ihram, checked out and proceeded to the Mosque of Bir-Ali to say the Miqat(Niat) before embarking on a 337 kilometers journey to the Holy City of Makkah.

TRIP TOWARDS SEMBAN VILLAGE

25 December 2010, 16 of us venture into the wilderness of the Padawan jungle heading towards Semban village, a Bidayuh village roughly 10 kilometres away from civilization. The journey started from Bengoh Dam, aside Bengoh village located about 30 minutes drive from Kuching City. By 10.00 am, we assembled, took a group picture, a little briefing, repacking of our belongings(give some to the tour guide to help carry (^.^), and off we shoot, engaging into the wilderness.

Our 4 hour walking journey was quite a challenge, since we walk up, down, up, down, up, down the hill for who knows how many times, added the walk path was not even, aside a cliff and some, muddy.

Two of the hills was the toughest when the pathway steps was made from bamboo to avoid the slipperiness of the soil and had took most of our time on the trip, actually perhaps it only took my time. I had to stop several times climbing those hills and the climb had eaten up most of my energy. I think the highest hill alone had consumed more than half an hour of my exploration. Soaring my leg especially muscle in the thigh and the calf.

Another challenge during the trip was the pouring rain which we encountered in the middle of the trip and had only stopped around 30 minutes after I reached Semban Village. The socks in my rubber boots were all wet, the path was very slippery and muddy, making the walk quite dangerous and more risky when stepping on the slippery bamboo stair steps climbing and going down the hills. The rain blurred my view when my spectacles was all wet and the unpleasant sight had brought headache to my brains. I was only able to see short distance and this had made the trip even more challenging. I wish I would have took pictures during the rain pour but feared a great lost if my camera would have been damaged by the rain. I was thankful to have bought a cheap rain coat during the trip vital to cover my backpack. If not, I would have ended with all my cloths and supplies damp during our stay in Semban.

Up to the third and half hour walk, I found myself being bypass by all of the participants as I was walking slower and slower. While walking to higher steps, I felt that it was getting harder to lift my legs, and my steps was accordance to my breathing. After taking one breath, I took one step upward, then one after another. I thought to myself, this must be how a snail glides. I'm now thinking like a snail. I was so slow, and the person in front of me was so far. Only god knew how I felt, sooooo tired, exhausted. A question keep repeating in by mind, 'Am I there yet?', 'Am I there yet?' a hundred times.

When I was about to lose hope, there it was, a view of relief, the houses, the football field, the pets, the chickens, the music playing.. Thank you Allah, I'm here, I'm here. I have made it..

Proving to my self how tired and exhausted I was, the walk from where the picture above was taken, to the house where we were staying (somewhere in the picture), even made me felt that the journey was never going to be over. My muscle was hurt, and all I would ever wanted was somewhere to fall my body, somewhere I could lean or perhaps, somewhere I could lie down and sleep.

At last, it felt like my prayers were answered. I was so satisfied. I was so happy. Somewhere I could call home during the trip. Somewhere I could sit. And somewhere I could smile.

TOASTMASTER INSTALLATION NIGHT

I am a member of the Toastmaster club for our department. For next years club committee, we have had our installation night the other day for the election of our club's committee members and surprisingly, I had been elected as the secretary.

Although not very familiar with the secretarial work, I embrace myself for the new post hoping to benefit the club and most importantly, myself in the training meetings held in the Toastmaster activities.

The theme of the Installation Night was 'The 1001 Arabian night'. I was very anxious to attend the function and was ready with my Arabian clothing presentation hoping to play my role as part of the Arabic environment throughout the event. To my surprise, only three men chose to wear Arab clothing on the night and I was one of them. Although the theme did not had high support, we had a great time with numerous presentation from singing, humorous speech and other on stage presentation.

Most of us enjoyed the night especially when it had a great ending with the sing a long "We are young" and 'poco-poco' as the finale.

We had a great time.

I received an email the other day that I would like to share with the readers. This email was titled "Whats your excuse?" and consisted of pictures of Muslims doings the solat at strange places and even at a disadvantage, they didn't use it as an excuse but still perform the solat at an uncomfortable condition. We should look at this as a motivation to perform the solat especially those that are always comfortable.

Fishing Memories 2003

After the last fishing trip, I started to adore fishing again and lately, I keep thinking about my old fishing memories that had brought me many types of feelings. Fishing has given me the taste of freedom, satisfaction, enjoyment, besides showing me my worst nightmare when were stuck in a storm or very windy sea condition and frustration on an unsuccessful fishing trip. Here are some of my fishing memories.

This picture was taken when the three of us, Zam (raincoat) - a teacher in Kapit, Pijan (life jacket) - a staff at Kuching General Hospital and I entered a fishing competition organized by Semariang Anglers in 2003. They might look happy and cool in the picture, but actually we have just when through a big storm a couple of hour before that and during the storm was the worst fishing condition I have ever felt. That fishing trip had made me thought whether I would come back alive or wouldn't come back at all and the storm was one of the scariest moment in my life.

This is the mount of Santubong taken from a fishing spot called 'Submarine'. Since that we only manage to catch two Sting Ray until the morning and was caught is the storm for about 3 hours, we tried our luck at this place that are sometimes catchy in the morning.

And this is me, still very skinny and pale looking. If you have read my profile, maybe you'll understand why I'm so skinny during that year. That was a nice morning, just look at the cool weather.

This were the sting ray that we manage to catch at Batu Mandi the evening before. Which was a couple of hours before the storm. I think that was all our catch during the fishing trip.

Notice the person still fighting with the fish in front of the boat. What a wonderfull feeling.

Walk Around Spring Shopping Complex

Its the fourth time we've been to The Spring shopping complex and it sure has made us feel like we're out of Kuching. The real motive of going there was to meet a friend but we also done some shopping and also some window shopping. There was also a promotion of good friday and we took the oppoturnity to visit the promotion area to enjoy ourselves.

This was the area of the promotion in the shopping complex.

Abiey grab the change to take a picture with a big teddy bear that was there. Since she doesn't have a teddy that big, a picture with it was enough she said.

This were the easter bunnies.

And here is both of us playing around in the shopping complex, trying to find ourselves some nice time. I could not stop laughing after taking the picture. And is still when I see it.

Gone Fishing

Once in a while, I love to go fishing at sea, which is normally at areas with depth from 20ft to 90ft of water. This places is not consider deep sea fishing yet as normally, deep sea is considered to be deeper than 100ft and is usually far away from land, until we couldn't see any. Here are some pictures that I took when we were on our way to the fishing spot, I only manage to take the departure pictures as my Nokia 5610 battery is low when we were on our way home.

I was actually trying to capture the beach picture but it ended up like this. Quite nice though, for a 5610 camera in a shaky situation.

The above picture is the 'Batu Mandi of Lakir', which means Bathing Stone at Lakir Island. I don't know why people call them bathing stone. I found it quite strange as nobody goes there to bath. I usually only see anglers fishing there for groupers (Kerapu) size at around 500g and heavier. I fish there for a couple of times, but only in good whether as I don't want our boat to get smash by the stones. Its usually a place for anglers as a last try on a disappointed fishing trip as they can easily catch small groupers here.

This is the last picture that I took that day before it started to get dark, the sun set. Its far more beautiful in real life than in the picture.

I wanted to take pictures of the fish that I caught that fishing trip but my camera was out. Altogether, I manage to catch 6 jenahak (red fish) and 2 baracuda.

PIKOM PC Fair - Sunday Activity

There was a PC Fair at the fifth floor, Taman Kereta that weekend and since I haven't been to one quite some while, I decided to pay a visit to buy some computer stuffs. As usual, the computer fair was very crowded and it was even hard to move around. Well then, here's the entrance of the computer fair.

There was such a crowd, even the wet market isn't visited by this such customers. Well, I guest theres many computer geeg around this days. Adoring the environment, I took a picture of the crowd while standing on a chair that was vacant. Where did this people came from? I thought to myself.

Some of the PC booth was making sales like crazy. And when i mean like crazy, it is even hard to buy something, as everybody around it was trying to spend their fortune. No wonder when they place such cheap price and woww, such advertisement.

At last, here I am, found what I've been looking for, a Lexmark 32 and 33 ink for my printer. Quite cheap, during normal hours the price is around RM80 plus. Hmm, give me one of those please.

You must be wondering where I am and why am I not in the picture. Well, I'm taking the pictures, I'm suppose to be at the back of the camera remember. Anyway, thats me, waiting for the sales person to go and get my ink.

And this is my girl, standing in the middle of the crowds.

Heres something that you don't see everyday, unless you bought it. Its a speaker @ woofer that looks like the back of a frying pan. Quite expensive. I don't want to buy those, maybe a picture is enough.

This was my sunday activity, besides going to grab some ice kacang at Haji Taha afterwards.

How To Kill Termites

If you have termite problems in your house, you better take necessary action to stop it infecting and eating all your furniture before its too late. The termite problem in our house started from our neighbor's house. We knew when we saw pest control workers coming to their house a couple of times, I think its 5 or 6 times now. Upon confronting them, our neighbors told us that they got the termites from a furniture that they had bought not long ago.

If you consult the normal money making pest controlling company, they would give you long lectures on how the termites live, their whereabouts and how to get rid of them. Some of this successful firms woulds prefer the old method, which is the long and most profitable method, which is to kill by insecticide method. This method involves spraying insecticide all over the woods infected several times in a month until all the termites are all dead. They will come to the infected house like maybe once in two weeks with certain charges per visit and this will go on for several months. Kind like the victim becoming the loyal customer to the pest controllers. Well, what pest are they really trying to control, human or the termites? I'll tell you about the effectiveness of this insecticide method later below.

The next method is using a trap for the termites. This trap is not like a mouse trap where the termites get stuck in a cage or being killed by a tensioned steel flap( the trap used in Tom and Jerry show). Instead, it is actually a piece of manufactured wood, that contains chemicals that would kill the termites when they eat it. The termites that eat the wood will get sick and passes on the sickness to other termites by touching, you know how termites and ants like to touch each other when they meet. Actually, I got this information after a confrontation with the pest controller of my neighbors house. They told me that my neighbor is using this method now(after getting fed up with the first method), and they have replaced the wood for three times now. Hmmmmm, three times?? Its not over yet, they'll surely come some more. Quite a profitable process too, once they come usually 2 or 3 person is present and I don't want to know how much that cost.

Anyway, back to my own story, not long after our neighbor house was attacked by termites, I notice that some of our wall skirting was kind of eaten by termites too. Upon knowing that, I investigated. I made bigger a hole in the skirting with a screw driver to see whether the hole was cause by faulty during carpentry or is it really the termites are doing their business(trying to enhance business for the pest controllers). After twisting the screw driver a couple of times, out came several termites, angry that their new house is being holed. It was the termites of course. Then I tried the first method mention above, using insecticide to get rid of the termites. I got some termites insecticide and start spraying it all over the wall skirting, until all the area are wet of it. I focused on holes believing that the liquids will flow further into the holes flooding all the termites. When I was satisfied, I stopped. Then, I left the site for awhile for the insecticide to take effect. After about an hour, I decided to investigate whether my hard work had paid off or not. I decided to open one of the wall skirting. Just in case, I stand by a blow torch and the balance of the insecticide that I have used.

Upon opening the wall skirt, thousands of the termites can be seen in side the wood, still alive healthy like never before. They tried to flee from the scene but as fast as I can, I started to spray them with insecticide, one by one until I was convince everybody had been given a taste. The insecticide was not that effective as it took time for the termites to die, and I had to spray them until they were really wet. I thought that it was just a waste of time and to finish my work successfully, I decide to rip open all the wall skirting in the area, and this time, instead of using only the insecticide, I've used the blow torch as well. I made so many sin that day, killing all those termites, but they must be stopped. If not, they will further their occupation, and take control of our house. Here was how I look like killing all those termites.

After I have finish opening the wall skirtings and burning them with the blow torch, all the termites were taken care of, and instead of having to do it for a couple of times. I killed all the termites in one day. I am positively sure of the termites being gone as all the materials they ate is thrown away. I checked other furniture and fittings but there were no sign of infection. I haven't replaced the wall skirting because I am still waiting for my neighbor to solve their termite problems, as not long after the wall skirting problem, I saw that the door at the back was showing termites signs too. I think that was from our neighbor's instead of the skirting.

My New Shop

I've just renovated my new shop which is located at Tabuan Stutong Commercial Centre. Since that I'm developing blogs to earn from adsense, I'm not going to post on blog tips in Malay anymore as there are not much ads similarity to the post or keyword uneffectiveness. Instead, I've decided to change this blog into my personal blog.

This post will show you my new shop that is a multipurpose shop mainly selling HP accessories.
Here are the pictures of my shop.

The old color of the shop was orange and blue, I decided to stick on orange as it look nice and attractive. I'm still doing on TM products but I have decided to to focus on it as its profit is not like what was promise. I feel that the new shop is more easy to handle and profitable.

Since the shop is still new, its not full yet. The shelves and walls still needs goods to decorate it.

Blog Anda Lagging? Lambat Loading?

Dalam banyak-banyak tutorial, turorial ni lah paling menarik. Kenapa tidak, masalah ini adalah satu masalah yang banyak menimpa bloggers di mana ada blog yang loading sampai 15 saat pun tak habis lagi. Saya kalau jumpa blog macam ni, tentu saya skip, malas nak tunggu. Kalau dah pakai 1Mbps pun ambik lebih dari 15 saat, tak tahulah kalau yang guna 512kbps atau 384kbps. Baik anda jadikan blog anda sebagai penyimpan post sahaja, lepas tu untuk orang baca, anda letakkan post anda kat blog-blog lain, post kat buletin Friendster, Facebook etc. Semata-mata nak blog kelihatan menarik dan penuh dengan isi, janganlah sampai nak bukak blog tu macam tunggu buah durian jatuh.

Adakah blog anda terdiri daripada blog yang saya katakan di atas, lagging, lambat, dan sebagainya. Kalau anda guna internet connection power, sekali sekala cuba guna connection yg lambat untuk tengok samada ada blog anda ni dah over loading atau tidak. Kalau blog anda terletak dalam ketegori itu, saya ada satu-satunya tips untuk meringankan semula blog anda. Kalau anda ikuti tips ini betul-betul, masa loading tak sampai satu saat pun. Bila dah macam tu, barulah semangat sikit pelawat nak datang berziarah kat blog anda tu.

Sekarang, untuk tips nya, sebelum tu, tarik nafas panjang-panjang dulu untuk lebih konsentrasi dan pengamatan. Apa yang anda perlu buat senang je. Untuk membuat masa loading blog anda sekejap atau ringan, mula-mula pergilah ke bahagian Layout - Page elements. Dah? Kat situ anda boleh lihat banyak gadget-gadget yang dipamerkan di blog anda. Apa yang perlu anda buat - BUANG semua gadget-gadget di situ kerana gadget-gadget itulah yang membuat blog anda berat. Kalau dah buang, dan post-post anda cuma terdiri dari teks, pasti blog anda jadi ringan, seolah-olah blog itu baru dibuat. Memang ada cara nak buat blog loading laju, tetapi, cara ini hanya berkesan dengan 3 teknik:

1. Suruh pelawat anda gunakan connection yang lebih laju.

2. Suruh pelawat anda upgrade PC atau laptop, atau

KURANGKAN 'NONTEXT CONTENT'
Apa yang saya maksudkan dengan 'nontext' ni adalah content-content yang berupa video, gambar, program atau widget-widget yang anda letakkan untuk membuat blog anda nampak penuh atau lebih menarik.

Untuk video, kalau boleh jangan letakkan lebih daripada 3 dalam satu page.

Gambar pula, jangan letakkan yang besar-besar, kalau pelawat nak lihat yang besar, biarlah gambar tu 'clickable' untuk melihatnya dengan saiz sebenar.

Untuk widget pula, pastikan anda tak letakkan terlalu banyak, kerana widget ni boleh ambik download time yang lebih banyak dari keseluruhan content anda. Contoh-contoh widget yang berat adalah seperti Feedjit, Shout @ Chat box, program-program yang menggunakan javascript seperti advertisement, music player, visitor counter, dan lain-lain widget seperti 'Mybloglog Recent Visitor', calendar atau jam. Dalam banyak-banyak widget yang pernah saya guna - Feedjit, chat box, dan Mybloglog merupakan widget terberat. Kalau anda nak lajukan loading blog anda, jangan gunakan widget-widget ini, namun kalau nak guna jugak, letakkan satu sahaja dan jangan digunakan secara berlebih-lebihan. Memanglah blog akan nampak crowded dan menarik, namun kalau menyakitkan hati pelawat untuk aper.

Satu lagi yang anda boleh buat adalah dengan mengurangkan post yang ditunjukkan pada main page. Kalau anda tak pernah ubah, biasanya main page akan mempamerkan 7 post, mungkin anda boleh kurangkan kepada 5 atau 3. Untuk mengurangkan bilangan post yang ditunjukkan di main page, anda boleh melakukannya di 'Settings' - 'Formatting'. Kalau anda jenis yang suka buat post panjang2, ini amat digalakkan supaya main page anda tak terlalu panjang.

Maka dengan ini, sekian sahaja tutorial kali ini, dan untuk kesimpulan, anda boleh mempercepatkan masa loading blog dengan:

1. Membuang semua widget atau post, atau

2. Mengurangkan 'nontext content' berupa gambar, video atau program, atau

3. Membuang beberapa widget di blog anda yang terbukti melambatkan, atau

4. Mengurangkan bilangan post yang dipamerkan di Muka Utama.

Cara Meletakkan Gambar Latar

Meletakkan gambar latar adalah suatu kemestian bagi blogger persendirian atau 'personal blog'. Banyak blogger suka meletakkan gambar latar untuk membuat blog kelihatan menarik, menambahkan warna pada blog di samping satu kaedah untuk menunjukkan diri seseorang kepada pembaca. Untuk blogger yang suka penampilan, mereka selalunya meletakkan gambar diri mereka sendiri atau gambar-gambar yang berkaitan dengan hidup mereka. Terdapat juga blogger yang suka meletakkan gambar yang berkaitan dengan blog mereka dan ada juga yang meletakkan gambar latar sekadar untuk membuat blog mereka kelihatan lebih menarik.

Terdapat dua jenis gambar atau imej yang anda boleh letakkan di blog anda; satu adalah gambar statik, dan satu lagi adalah gambar yang dinamik atau yang boleh bergerak-gerak iaitu dalam bentuk 'gif'. Seperti yang anda boleh lihat sekarang ini, saya menggunakan gambar 'gif' di dalam blog ini dimana gambar latar BlogGimana adalah bergerak-gerak. Kod yang akan digunakan untuk kedua jenis gambar ini adalah sama sahaja, yang membezakannya cumalah jenis gambar yang digunakan. Untuk mendapatkan gambar statik(jpeg, jpg, bmp etc) adalah senang kerana boleh diperolehi terus dari kamera, tetapi untuk gambar 'gif' anda perlu membuatnya terlebih dahulu atau mencari gambar sedia ada di internet.

Anda boleh memilih untuk meletakkan gambar di beberapa lokasi blog anda(sama seperti tutorial meletakkan warna latar). Lokasi-lokasi tersebut adalah keseluruhan blog, 'header', 'posting', 'sidebar' dan 'footer' setiap lokasi ini boleh diletakkan gambar yang berlainan. Cara-caranya adalah dengan menambah kod di atas beserta url imej di bahagian-bahagian blog anda dalam 'edit html'. Contohnya adalah seperti berikut:

Menukar Warna Latar Blog

Tutorial ini agak menarik kerana ia akan membuat blog anda nampak lebih dinamik atau warna-warni. Blog yang terdiri dari hanya satu warna latar akan membuat ia nampak kusam dan pelawat mudah boring untuk melihat nya. Namun, memasang warna latar adalah lebih diminati oleh pereka blog yang mahu lebih penampilan dan tidak berapa disukai oleh mereka yang mementingkan isi-isi atau mereka yang 'simple'.

Anda boleh menentukan warna pada beberapa bahagian blog, iaitu bahagian keseluruhan blog, 'Header', 'Posting', 'side bar' dan 'footer'. Anda boleh melilih warna yang berlainan untuk setiap bahagian ini.

Kod yang anda perlukan untuk meletakkan warna adalah seperti berikut:

Ada yang akan fikir pengubahsuaian kod-kod ini susah atau akan merumitkan otak. Namun, tiada orang yang akan pandai jika tidak belajar. Kalau anda masih baru, mungkin anda akan pening kepala, tapi lama-kelamaan anda akan rasa semua ni senang sahaja. Menukar Warna Scroll Bar

Tutorial kali ini akan mengajar anda cara-cara untuk menukar warna 'scroll bar'.
Scroll bar ni, kalau anda tak tahu, adalah benda yang memanjang yang terdapat kat tepi atau bawah browser anda.

Kalau biasa, warna scroll bar explorer adalah biru dan putih seperti gambar di atas. Namun, anda boleh menukarnya jika anda mahu seperti warna scroll bar blog ini(Hanya berkesan untuk pengguna Internet Explorer).

Membuat Warna Latar Untuk Teks

Dalam tutorial kali ini, saya ingin berkongsi cara-cara untuk membuat warna latar untuk teks. Dalam English, ia lebih dikenali dengan text background color. Kotak yang saya maksudkan ini serupa juga dengan membuat 'textbox' seperti yang saya tunjukkan dalam tutorial Cara Meletakkan Text Area. Cuma bezanya 'text area' itu mempunyai 'scroll bar' dan lebarnya ditetapkan dalam kod html yang digunakan. Kod yang akan tunjukkan ini pula akan menggunakan keseluruhan lebar kawasan teks(text area).

Contoh untuk warna latar ini terdapat dalam tutorial saya sebelum ini iaitu Membuang Navigation Bar yang kelihatan seperti berikut:

Membuang Navigation Bar Blogger

Dalam post kali ini, saya akan berkongsi cara-cara untuk membuang 'Nav Bar' yang terdapat pada bahagian atas template blogger. Sesetengah blogger tidak menyukai 'Nav Bar' ini kerana disinilah terdapatnya butang 'Flag' dimana sesiapa yang ingin mengkhianati tuan punya blog, boleh melakukannya melalui butang ini, malah saya sendiri pernah terkena pada bulan disember 2008 yang lalu pada salah satu blog saya. Sesetengah blogger pula tidak menyukainya kerana menganggap ia menyemak atau tidak mahu blog mereka kelihatan seperti blog yang lain.

Namun terdapat juga blogger yang suka menyimpan bar ini kerana mudah untuk memasuki 'dashboard' ketika mengemaskini blog atau jika ingin melakukan blog search. Butang 'sign out' juga senang diklik jikalau menggunakan komputer yang akan digunakan oleh orang lain dan tak perlulah ke bahagian akaun untuk melakukan 'sign out'.

Bagi mereka yang ingin membuang 'Nav Bar' blognya, cara-caranya adalah seperti dibawah:

- Mula-mula, pergi ke bahagian Layout, Edit html.

Mendapatkan Pendapatan Dari Blog Anda

Kepada blogger yang sudah ada blog, blognya dah 'power' dan 'visitor'nya dah banyak, ketahuilah bahawa anda boleh menjana pendapatan dari blog anda. Blog dibina atas banyak sebab, ada yang bina blog kerana ingin memenuhi masa lapang, ada yang ingin mencari publisiti, terdapat mereka yang blogging sebagai hobi, mengembangkan bisnes, dan sebagainya. Walau apapun tujuan anda membina blog, anda boleh menjadikan blog itu sebagai bisnes, ataupun sebagai suatu pekerjaan dimana anda boleh mendapat wang atau gaji daripadanya. Yang penting, blog anda mestilah mempunyai isi yang baik atau keyword yang sesuai dan mempunyai ranking yang baik atau mendapat banyak visitor baru setiap hari.

Terdapat banyak cara untuk mendapatkan duit dari blog anda tetapi teknik yang paling banyak digunakan adalah dengan meletakkan iklan di blog anda. Iklan-iklan yang saya maksudkan adalah seperti mendaftar dengan Google Adsense, Nuffnang, Adbrite dan sebagainya. Untuk Adsense dan Adbrite, biasanya mereka mengutamakan blog yang berbahasa English. Namun jika blog anda dalam bahasa Melayu, maka anda boleh menggunakan NuffNang atau lain-lain ejen pengiklanan yang support Bahasa Malaysia.
Selain iklan-iklan dari ejen pengiklanan tersebut, anda juga boleh menjadi ejen pengiklanan sendiri. Ini boleh dilaksanakan dengan mencari syarikat atau laman lain yang berminat untuk meletakkan iklan di laman anda. Ini boleh dilakukan dengan teknik 'customer approach' atau anda boleh secara simple meletakkan iklan di blog anda seperti 'Iklanlah di sini' dan tunggu.

Selain itu, blog anda boleh anda jadikan sebagai 'online business' untuk produk-produk yang berkemungkinan akan dibeli oleh pelawat blog anda. Sebagai contoh, jika blog anda adalah mengenai musik, maka anda boleh menjadi ejen kepada syarikat penjual CD dengan menjual CD musik di blog anda. Anda hanya perlu tetapkan harga, teknik pembelian, cara bayaran dan bagaimana anda akan menghantar produk tersebut. Selain itu, anda juga boleh menjual lain-lain produk yang berkaitan dengan blog anda seperti buku, baju dan sebagainya.

Teknik seterusnya adalah dengan menjadi 'referer' kepada online business lain. Menjadi referer kepada suatu syarikat bermaksud anda akan menjadi wakil kepada syarikat tersebut untuk mencari pelanggan dan anda akan dibayar secara komisen mengikut berapa banyak pelanggan yang anda dapat. Terdapat banyak online business yang mencari referer secara percuma. Contoh-contohnya adalah seperti ebay, amazon, syarikat-syarikat webhosting dan sebagainya. Apabila anda mendaftar menjadi referer, anda akan diberi satu url untuk dipromosikan di laman anda. Gaji anda akan dikira mengikut kuantiti pelanggan yang membeli di laman syarikat tadi melalui url referer anda.

Selain itu, anda juga boleh menyertai program MLM yang beroperasi secara online. Biasanya program MLM seperti ini akan memberi anda url tersendiri untuk dipromosikan dan sesiapa yang menyertai program itu melalui url yang telah diberi kepada anda, maka peserta tersebut akan dikira sebagai downline anda. Namun cara ini hanya berkesan jika pelawat yang datang ke laman anda berasal daripada tempat beroperasinya prgram MLM tadi. Jika anda memilih teknik ini, pastikan anda periksa dahulu latar belakang Syarikat MLM yang ingin disertai sebelum anda mempromosikannya dan pastikan ia tidak menipu peserta.

Terdapat banyak lagi cara yang boleh anda gunakan untuk mendapatkan pendapatan dari blog anda selain cara-cara di atas. 'Bookmark' atau dalam Bahasa Melayu 'tanda' adalah suatu fungsi agar pelawat laman anda boleh menanda blog anda di 'browser' mereka supaya senang mereka hendak melayari blog anda lagi nanti. Apabila blog anda di 'bookmark', maka nama blog serta URL blog anda akan disimpan dibahagian 'Favorites' pada browser anda. Jikalau pelawat blog anda ingin pergi semula ke blog anda, mereka tidak perlu mengingati URL anda tetapi hanya perlu mencarinya di bahagian 'Favorites'.

Gambar di atas adalah contoh apabila blog BlogGimana di'bookmark', nama dan URL bloggimana.blogspot.com akan disimpan di bahagian 'Favorites'.
