Are you active on Facebook and yet you don’t seem to get many visitors coming from Facebook to your blog?

Let’s first define what we’re talking about:

You probably have a personal profile page on Facebook. This is the type of Facebook page that must be about a person and NOT about a business. You have your own name and your own photo on the page. And people can “friend” you.

Now do you have a (business) page for your company or blog?

Until recently this type of page was called a fan page. Now it’s just a plain page – very confusing. And instead of becoming a fan of such a page, you “like” a page, which actually makes you a member of this page and is different than the “like” function of website pages off Facebook.

But an innovative way that you can use Facebook to send more people to your blog is this two-step process:

Buy Facebook ads that are extremely targeted (age, location, gender, etc.) to send people to your Facebook (business) page.

On that Facebook page have an attractive offer in exchange for an email address:

When people give you their email address through the email marketing vendor whose software you’ve put on your Facebook page, you can send these people followup emails with links to your site or blog content.

Alternatively, you could buy Facebook ads that send people directly to your website or blog. But in the little testing I’ve done of Facebook ads, it seems to me that it is more effective to use Facebook ads to send people to a page on Facebook rather than to a page off Facebook.

You can dip your toe very slowly into the water with Facebook ads and only spend a little money each day for only a few days. And Facebook makes it easy to create ads that send people to your Facebook (business) page.

What Facebook doesn’t do especially well is make it clear how to clearly target your ads. That’s why my company Miller Mosaic Power Marketing created a video to show the steps for doing this. (See http://www.millermosaicllc.com/video-how-to-create-facebook-ad/)

And, of course, the more activity you have on your Facebook (business) page, the more interesting you will make yourself and your site to your target markets.

Phyllis Zimbler Miller (@ZimblerMiller on Twitter) and her business partner Yael K.

This morning, I was trying to help someone with a guest post they were writing for a company’s blog. I urged the person to send copy that included hyperlinks to their own website. This is what they told me:

“I’m sorry if it isn’t in a format that works for you. You’re welcome to cut & paste my photo into its own .jpg file, and you may insert whatever links you feel are appropriate. I’m responding to a “Help a Reporter Out” query, not a “Do a Reporter’s Job.” This is as far as I’m willing to go.”

When you write a blog post, it is your time to shine! Believe it or not, adding a little wax after the wash makes your ride that much more shiny.

All too often I see blog posts that have great content, but are missing that “something special”. One of the ways to achieve that and to “wax your ride” is to add appropriate hyperlinks to your articles. A good rule of thumb is to include a link to a relevant authority or resource every 100 words or so. This Wikipedia article provides a good example. Notice how every important term is hyperlinked?

To be effective, you’ll want to do the same with your own content. Adding hyperlinks will boost your SEO. Another way to add “shine” is to include share buttons to the bottom of your all posts. At a minimum, you should have content that is shareable with Twitter and Facebook. This is usually accomplished with a one-step download as shown below:

Here is an example of hyper linking in a press release:

CLEARWATER, Fla., June 16 /PRNewswire/ — Help My Resume, a division of Flippin Creative Inc., a non-profit organization, today announced it has teamed with Deepak Gupta, Founder of Marketing By Deepak Consulting Group, a Social Media Thought Leader located in California, to fight unemployment by utilizing Social Media. HelpMyResume.org provides free services to unemployed Americans who need assistance in rewriting their resume, creating cover letters, achieving higher education, and acquiring clothes to interview in.

This demonstrates how hyperlinks can cite qualified authorities, terminology and additional resources all without sounding like an encyclopedia or taking up additional space. Readers are free to click on what they’re interested in learning more about and disregard what is of less interest. If you don’t already “wax” your blogs with hyperlinks, try them in your next post! Then sit back and take in the shine…

2.) He knows how you are losing money

Writing an article for your blog is not a very hard task, but it’s not very easy either! We spend a lot of time writing original articles. We do a lot of research, collect a lot of information, gather images that are useful and do many other things to make our each article the best one. But do you know there are people who don’t have to do all this and get articles for free!! Can you believe it? I don’t know if you can, but you will have to believe me!

Just yesterday I thought of searching on Google for my articles. I tried searching for my articles by their name or keyword. I wanted to know if my article ranks good or not. I was shocked to see the result! The result shocked me!! I wanted to see my article rank, but instead found my articles on other blogs!! I mean to say copied content!! I came across many blogs where my entire articles were copied as it is (Of course removed the links to my blog)…

I was very angry and also was very sad! I had mixed feelings. I felt like killing the content copiers, but unfortunately can’t do it.

Several things began coming in my mind. I started thinking, I spent so much time writing these articles and that person used them for free! How can they do that? Weren’t they scared? At first I thought that the article might contain only the summary with a link to the full article on my blog. But NO! The article was copied fully and had no links anywhere pointing to my blog! In many of my posts I’ve mentioned not to copy articles, but still these people do! I think he should have published only the summary with a link to my blog. I mean he should have provided attribution.

Another thing which I was surprised to see. Guess what? One of the content chors (content copiers) also copied my images. Copying some images is okay as I too take some images from search engines, but what he did was really bad and shocking! He used the original images that I had myself made using Photoshop. Well I thought there is no problem with copying images, but there came another thing that shocked me! He added a copyright tag to the images. That thing really shocked me! How can one do that? Oh! I forgot, spammers don’t value others and their hard work!

I don’t know what to do next! I have contact the content copier. Lets see if he replies back. If he does reply back, what’s in his reply. I’m waiting for his e-mail. I’m really interested in reading his reply.

What do you think friends? What shall I do with that content copier? Shall I ask him to remove the articles or shall I ask him to link to my articles or shall I bring those spam blogs in light using an article? Or shall I report it to search engines and other copyright protecting agencies or perhaps the copier’s web host? What do you say people?

If you’re looking to get some quick backlinks, chances are you’ve considered investing a few dollars in Paul and Angela back link lists or packages. But are Paul and Angela the right people for you? Before we answer that question, let’s recap what Paul and Angela do…and who they actually are.

Paul Johnson and Angela V. Edwards saw an opening in the fledging SEO industry and teamed up to combine their lists of quality sites. These sites let you post links back to your own blog. Originally, the list was sold as a monthly subscription but after some teething problems (forums and sites being inundated with dummy accounts), they now sell mostly by the package instead.

The case for Paul and Angela

Let’s cut to the chase. Paul and Angela’s backlinks can actually work. There is enough evidence out there to prove that their technique does fool the Google spiders and help the recipient blog climb that magical Google ladder.

Your relationship with Paul and Angela should not be an expensive one to cultivate. They started out by selling monthly subscriptions for just five dollars. Even today, their packages are affordable and good value, considering the number of links you receive.

If you’re looking for a quick fix, Paul and Angela’s mix includes aged authority sites for quick indexing.

The Paul and Angela package is the essence of simplicity. They look after pretty much everything and then send a report to you. With prices starting at under $60.00, this is a comprehensive service for very little, especially if your blog has an income stream attached – that extra spot on the SERPs could land you hundreds of extra visitors and convert to thousands in extra sales. Most folk though, just pay for the list.

To minimize the number of forum owners automatically deleting dummy accounts, Paul and Angela have revised their system – so the speed at which you backlinks disappear is slowing.

By doing a few small things yourself, such as posting to the forums within the first few weeks or adding a photograph, you reduce the danger of losing half your backlinks in the early stages.

Success breeds a million imitators. That’s certainly true here, with many new services looking very much like Paul and Angela. Ironically, these smaller competitors may provide better results for you; larger links providers have more customers, so more customers adding profiles to their pool of sites, so more chance your profile will be deleted. Smaller providers can be a much better option.

The case against Paul and Angela

Your blog may get de-indexed. Think about that for a second. This is not a white hat technique, this is not kosher down at the old Google link police headquarters. Plenty of blog owners know the sting of a Google slap and de-indexing hurts.

When it comes down to it, we’re talking spam! That’s what Paul and Angela sell. Call it what you will, dress it up, play it down, live in denial if you must. But it’s still spam. This means that while you may prosper in the short term, your long term chances of avoiding detection by the spam police might not be too good.

The more you buy, the more visible you’ll be on the spam police radar.

Now, it’s a controversial argument and like the meaning of life, we may never know – but if you are a dedicated believer that the only Googlicious link comes from your own niche, then Paul and Angela are not for you. Your blog about movies or music may have links from forums catering to diabetics, pet owners and mugging victims – if it meets the Paul and Angela criteria, it’s on the list.

Many forum owners can spot spam from a mile off and will delete you almost before you’ve started. You may not even receive a confirmation email to activate your account – and yet you’ll have paid for that linking opportunity. Some estimate that you lose 50% of your links in the first week! The links aren’t looking quite so affordable now….

As new links lose their luster and stop being indexed, you will need to buy more link packages to retain your SERP position. Of course, by ensuring your content is quality all the way, this won’t be a concern – but if you find yourself in the trap of buying more to replace old ones, you’re at risk of alerting Google to your blog.

The verdict

So, is Paul and Angela the way to go? There’s plenty to think about and you’re gambling with your blog! Commercial sites designed to be here for a good time, not a long time love ideas like Paul and Angela’s because they can move their product fast and furiously, always conscious of Google’s clock ticking. When they get de-indexed, they shut down and start up again with more link tricks up their sleeves.

But, it’s generally very good advice to never underestimate the cleverness of Google. Building a readership with quality content will build links for free and those readers actually care what you do and say, isn’t that the better way to go? Risk free and in fact, what blogging and networking are all about!

Susan Long believes that quality content is the best link builder! If you (or your girlfriend, son or daughter) love Cool Pencil Cases pens, pencils and notebooks, why not check out the site and maybe even share a link and spread the white hat love!

Following every competitor’s move is part and parcel of any business. With today’s technology and social media networking it has become much easier to stay up-to-date on any steps that your competitor makes. Here is the list of less known but effective ways (including social monitoring, media planning and niche analysis tools) to help research your competition:

Before anything else you should grab all of your competitor’s backlinks. Use this data to outline your link building campaign strategies. Niche Analysis Tool by EasySeoTracking will help you here. This web-based tool generates the list of top 10 competitors:

Shows their basic SEO parameters like: Page Rank, number of back links, presence of keywords in the URL and title, number of unique visitors by Compete, number of Google requests per month;

After taking a look at the overall picture, you can view all of your competitor’s backlinks, analyze how quality they are, and determine whether you could knock him or her;

With paid membership (for $5.95 only) you can add up to 20 websites to your account, get daily/monthly/weekly reports via email, perform unlimited niche analysis requests and make use of all future updates for free.

My two cents: It’s a simple and easy-to-use niche analysis tool. No need to install bulky software. Offers low-cost membership fee.

Google Ad Planner is a free media planning tool that can help you:

My two cents: If you need to get basic information on your competitor’s traffic and audience details, Google Ad Planner is a must-have tool.

With Addict-o-matic you can:

Search the best live sites on the web for the latest news, blog posts, videos and images;

Do you ever use online services like online shopping, online games, and other similar activities? I am sure you’ve been using it often because these online services are very easy and very affordable. Many of us even buy everyday things like mobile phones, bags, shoes, clothes and even a computer through the Internet or online. And consequently, a lot of people have grown interest to establish their own business online, or to have a branch online According to those who frequently use online services, they said the service is very affordable because we do not need to look hard in order to find something we want because through the Internet everything is available you just need to browse and select among them.

However, it is true that there are also weaknesses and issues which we encounter when we use the internet service. These are several strategies you can use to help you master the art of SEO.

1. Give the title of an article according to the keywords you want to optimize your search engine. These keywords can be your company’s mainstay product, or even something related to your products. You should repeat your keywords a few times, adjusted for the number of words in the article. This is because each person will find different types of products they need and your company should be able to guess what words will be typed in the search engines to be able to be able to direct them to your website.

2. You must create a content article according to the product or service you sell. Make an article of good quality so it is easy to be detected by search engines. This is done because every consumer or user who use search engine believe that it will help them located articles which are simple to comprehend. If you make an article easy to understand, then chances are the visitors who will come to your website will increase.

3. You must renew your articles every day and this should be done routinely. This should be done to increase the interest of the visitors and therefore avoid the possibility of them getting bored with your site. With regularly updated articles, visitor-readers will wait for each new article. Even more important is if your articles are always updated so search engines will detect it better.

4. Give the distinguishing features of each keyword in your article. Search engine crawlers highly depend on the keywords of the articles posted on the internet. And by establishing the distinguishing features of your keywords, it will allow search engines to detect your website easier.

5. You should be looking for more back links through free classified ads, social media, up to the blog roll on the blog to others. This is your technique to get more traffic from visitors from other blogs or websites that are linking their websites to your website through your link pairs. Backlinks also help establish authority which is recognized by search engine algorithms.

Internet has made everything possible now. We can see most of the people getting started to Blog seeing the Professional Bloggers. May it be Niche Blog or a Personal blog, the starters intend to use the Google’s www.blogger.com at first because it is simple and easy to understand and mostly because it is Google’s, so indexing of the posts on Google will be better. Here are 5 Tips for ‘Blogspot” bloggers. Don’t forget that Blogging is an addiction for sure. It is the simplest way to call yourself a ‘Writer’ when you Blog. Its wrong. First have Quality. In Blogging, Quality is the key to success and not quantity.

1. Use Social Networking a lot

The professional blogs like this one automatically tends to use Social Networking sites like Facebook and Twitter. Most of the visits come from them. But, its not the course of the Blogspots. So Blogspot bloggers, try to use the Social networking options as much as possible. Try to put a retweet or Facebook share button after every post as it is not available by plugins. Even, mention about your posts in these sites.

2. Carefully Select the Designs

Google provides a bulk of designs for a Blogspot user along with the latest Customized Design. There are also many design templates provided by other websites on the Internet. But, there are reports of many problems occurring of using the third party designs. Many bloggers have faced their blog not getting indexed properly in many search engines too. So always use the Designs provided by Google and with the new designs come up now, you will like them. Don’t forget, always use a standard design that impresses crowds.

3. Have a Standard of Writing

Since its a externally hosted blog, don’t think that Normal English will suit. Try to implement the professionalism of writing. People read a lot of professional writings and come back to the blog afterwards. But the normal blogs don’t get that much appearance. As I said before, quality is key to success. I meant Quality of Writing. One very well written post is equal to 5 just normal posts. Think of Quality not Quantity.

4. Have a Short URL

The Blogspot blogs always end with .blogspot.com. And if you give a normal name for your blog for example yourname.blogspot.com . This itself makes it a huge URL and people won’t like it. So instead for an alternative, get a .co.cc ending. So your URL will change to youname.co.cc . To get a co.cc URL just go to www.co.cc and register. Its mostly free except for some commercial and top URLs which cost $3 per year.

5. Don’t mocker up with Widgets

Google provides a lot of Widgets to Blogspot users which are impressive and bloggers tend to use these unwanted widgets. Instead, use the simpler ones and which is helpful to you. Don’t Mocker your page with all the Widgets and everything will look a mess. Google provides bulk widgets. Just use the normal- Search, Comments, Posts and any other normal one.

Hope you liked this. You are open to comment as you know more than me.
