The voiceover is an actual reading by Walt Whitman of one of his poems from 1888 recorded live (courtesy of the WWArchive). The Final Fantasy track is an alternate version of "The CN Tower Belongs To The Dead" and is taken off the 2006 EP Many Lives For 49MP. Check out the mp3 below:

I have been so crazy over the last few weeks I almost forgot about my tickets to see Ben Harper's new project, Relentless 7, this week at Webster Hall. I have been a long time fan, dating back to seeing him as an opening act in June of 1996.
R7 debuted late last year with a handful of intimate shows. The band's new album White Lies For Dark Times hits stores on Tue (5/5)...making the Webster Hall show the unofficial record release party. Sweet. BTW, you can preview the entire album here. Doubly sweet.

Super power pop group Tinted Windows - consisting of a slew of musicians made famous in other bands - is about to drop their debut album on April 21st. Guess it is a good thing I waited to post my pictures from one of their SXSW 2009 performances. James Iha (Smashing Pumpkins), Adam Schlesinger (Fountains Of Wayne), Taylor Hanson (Hanson), and Bun E. Carlos (Cheap Trick) will welcome their album to the world with few shows in select cities.
