I tried to get a ticket at Sathyam today afternoon but could not get it... so we gave up and went to City Centre for shopping. While my wife was shopping away I just tried online booking of Sathyam through my bsnl 3G connection... and viola I got the last two tickets for knight and day... I booked the tickets then and there using my desire and fuel card.... how easy and convenient it was...... power of communications.....

First day at Infosys.... again :-)

Came to shols campus after almost a year... all my team mates have moved on to different projects.. was wandering here and there in the morning not knowing what to do... but in the afternoon I was allocated new project and attended training sessions.. just now finished.. missing the morning half already.... :-) :-) :-)

Hi All,

First i would like to wish you all a very happy new year.

This is a special post for me :) as this is the only post this year and i at least made it in the final few hours of this year....

This year will be an year to remember for me for the rest of my life... as this year i got married after a very stressful 2008 when we were trying to get our parents agree to our marriage.

And later half my first onsite assignment... which i am enjoying(?) now...

Hope next year will be another eventful year in my life ....

Signing off for now...i am hoping i will spend more time with my blog next year...

Expectations!

Expectations.. this seemingly harmless word is in-fact a life spoiler.. yeah.. you read it correct.

you can have expectations on anything but not on your beloved ones as it spoils the relationship..

a big expectation if not met will lead your mind to dissatisfaction and this itself is a sure sign of falling relationships.

i should have been aware that everyone has their own way of thinking just like i have my own way of thinking and acting. but if i start expecting the same behavior from others ( i often do that and very unfair ) life becomes hell...

it does not mean that i expect this from everyone but only from a select few.. but that itself is wrong so i learned...

Life without expectations on your loved ones will be more joyful.. i learned it the hard way.. but still trying to implement the learnings.. some qualities are hard to shed :)

Hi All,
it is a while i posted anything in my blog... but i would like to give a farewell for our pet dog Milo who recently passed away leaving us all in deep grief...

i have already posted about Milo... but his death is a very big blow for us as he was an integral part of our family and he was keeping company for my mom as i and my sis are working in Chennai and Bangalore and my mom and dad would be alone back in vellore. His nature of death also left us in shock as he was in very good health and he died of poisoning and we don't have an idea of what or how he was poisoned.

Milo we loved you so much.. be with us in every walk of our life..

Hi All,

I would like to share one incident that i saw which infuriated me very much...... guess on which topic....

If u had guessed Police behaviour then u are spot on...

i am a routine traveller to Vellore from Guindy..Kathipara to be exact where i board the bus to Vellore..

One such day I was waiting for the bus in Kathipara, it was Friday evening and considerable police contingent was there to control the crowd and traffic.

Two cops were standing near by me...and they suddenly stopped two kids crossing them.. I wondered what could be wrong as I did not see any misbehaviour from those kids and they where just walking minding their own business..
Needless to say the kids where also very confused..

The cops instructed the kids to get two packets of baked groundnut from the street vendor standing few feet away..
The vendor also saw the kids stopped by the cops...when the kids approached him he silently gave the kids the two packets..who in turn gave the packets to the cops...

Well u may think it happens all the time...but I was very much infuriated, the cops can't even afford Rs 1,
They try to get everything free even from street vendors who struggle every day to survive....

Shame on these people... Shame on TamilNadu Police

Even trying to think that these guys are there to protect us makes my skin crawl...and they compare these guys with Scotland Yard ….Funny!!

HI everyone it has been a long time since i posted anything in my blog..
First a little update of my current situation....i am now in Sholinganallur Development centre of Infy (hope this will be my permanent place in Infy..)

I am now into a project which has lot of opportunities to learn (which means lot of work...)

Anyway I would like to look back the year 2006…

A very special year for me..
Found my Life partner….finished my M.E….Got into Infy…My first sal…
I will never forget 2006………………Hope the year 2007 will be an even more memorable year…..

My First Month At Infy!!!!!!

hi all..i promised that i will write abt my Infy experience...here it is..(bit late though..sorry for that)...

The much anticipated job...much anticipated company....
yeh..i joined infy with lot of dreams,the company did not let me down...

Beautifulllll campus i ever saw(mind u i have attended few interviews)I was lucky that my first posting was in Bangalore the headQ of Infy...But i want to be in Chennai..that is a different story..

Lets come back to Infy Campus..Lush green meadows..Elegant structured buildings spaced well ,not crowding....artistically designed artificial ponds...Fountains...And the facilities here is superb..Good food courts(costly though..we will come to this later)Everything u want inside the campus...

And abt the training, many told abt the training to me that it is spectacular..very tight with lot of exams..but i was disappointed,no good teachers except for Java..poor course material...and not enough systems to work...

but the examm part was true,we had lot of exams..all online and again very controversial, that many got poor results even though writing the exam well...but i got the expected marks,i don't know what happened to others...

the living cost is very high here,as i said here to get reasonable food we have to pay very high price compared to Chennai..and the traffic in Hosur Road is a nightmare...it takes 20 min in morning form BTM(Where i stay) to Electronic City,but it takes 2 hrs in the evening!!!!

only thing here is that it is not Chennai..even though Chennai is hottest, sweaty and very crowded i like Chennai best...i don't like the Bangalore climate(!!)...

overall it was a 30-60% experience for me,30%-likable,60%-not...i have completed the training here successfully..i will post my placement details later..

I Got Placed!!!!

Atlast the day, i wanted badly had arrived for me. The day when i will tell my parents that i got placed in a company... to see thier joy...

i got placed at Infosys, and it is really a relief more than joy for me....

I am back at SSN...
I came here to get my TC....
And when i entered the campus all my memories at SSN came rushing back...
The good old days which i enjoyed so much...my last possible student life....
SSN still had that lazy atmosphere and i think even if i come back years after SSN will be same as it is now...

This may be the last post which i post from my computer at my lab here at SSN...even leaving it makes me sad....

hope future makes me go places and meet good people as SSN did...

When I first entered this college i didn't like the college even a bit..
But now it has given me a master's degree and my life...

This is my 50^th post!!!!!!

I have this habit of trying out anything new and after sometime

I will forget about it

When I first started this blog, I didn’t think it will come this far.

I thought that it will be one of many that I have tried out and not sticking

with it, because there is no one to read my blog, even my friends where not interested…

But the reason it has come this far is Suba, her constant encouragement and comments

in my blog has enabled me to go on and here I am, in my 50^th post…

Fun'n Splash at VGP

Yesterday 11 from my class went on a small trip to VGP..
It was fun from the beginning, and i enjoyed the trip very much.
Most of them stayed away from Fun Rides as they were afraid,
I and rakesh and siva went on all rides,
but the big surprise for me was lalitha's enthu. towards rides..
She went on all rides with the three of us,except children rides(he he).

We all had a very good splash at the beach, and there Thilaga gave us a big scare
when kavitha mam and i pushed her in the water,she lost her balance and she swallowed
lot of sea water and was coughing and spluttering around..
other then that it was a very good trip..
