It’s a story of a man and a woman who were just made for each other but not meant to stay with each other.

In a small town in Japan, there were two Indian families. Shree was married to Deep for a decade and had a lovely little daughter, Joyee. Partha was married to Gehna and had an angel, Aditi. Deep and Partha were business partners and later became great friends.

Shree was a shy girl from childhood, but she was also very vibrant. Traveling around the world quenched her thirst for adventures in life. She hated arguments, misbehavior, hypocrisy. Popularly known as, Sunshine, in her friends' circle, she was always a deep secret keeper – a heart she called “secret chamber”. Looking to the brighter side of a situation had been her greatest strength always.

Being an awardee in her post-graduation, getting a job was never a problem.

Shree married Deep after few years of courtship.

Deep was already into his business by the time he got married. Deep was always the perfect son, one can ever imagine. But he used to remain upset with Shree. The unconditional love of Shree for Deep was always there. Lots of marital problems she faced in her little age. Then Joyee came into their life. Shree's life became more and more complicated but she was a girl with a smile on her face.

Deep never reciprocated his love and passion for her. Moreover, he used to blame her for every single thing. She dedicated her life for the happiness of her family - left the job. She believed in woman empowerment and so worked on it constantly. Her good aesthetic senses helped her become a popular fashionista, though at times Deep didn't appreciate.

Deep's friend Partha was alike Shree - very vibrant, loved to live life king size. Gehna was just the opposite. But Partha always loved and cared for her. To them, Deep and Shree were the best couple on Earth.

Partha, Gehna and their daughter Aditi became great family friends of Deep, Shree and Joyee.

Although Partha had a little crush on Shree, never revealed this secret until one fine evening.

Once, there was a gala party where Gehna, Aditi and Joyee didn't go, whereas Partha, Deep, and Shree went. Partha was a bit drunk and gradually started hinting Shree about his feelings. Deep was present but remained unknown. Shree thought that Partha was hallucinating Gehna and kept everything as a secret. Partha hugged and kissed her cheeks but Shree remained calm and composed.

On the next day, Shree and Partha started interacting with each other. Although they used to interact earlier also, this time their conversation was more intense. They became each other's confidante. Not only they were completely similar by nature, but their marital problems were also similar. Partha started loving Shree more and more. With so much affection and love, Shree found solace in this relationship. They almost discussed everything and always been themselves. No need to change oneself to impress the other one was their mantra. Partha and Shree found soul-mates in each other. For more than a month, they just conversed over the phone almost throughout the day.

An open-air pub with great ambiance was just too perfect for their first date, which was completely unplanned. Shree booked a table for two and was eagerly waiting for Partha. She was in a blue dress with open hair and he was wearing a formal suit. She was nervous and cold. The mild breeze was flowing through her hair and she was deeply thinking about him. Partha came and whispered in her ears, "Didn't you see me or you pretended?". She was freezing out of excitement and nervousness. Never imagined, she could ever be in an extramarital affair, although Partha had few. But falling for each other, was never in their wildest dreams. Partha and Shree made some honest confessions about their past lives.

Partha hugged her tightly and planted his first kiss on Shree's lips passionately. She was shivering with extreme happiness but fear at the same time. It was on February 2nd. They looked at each other intensely. Partha was not liking to leave her for a second. His fingers went down from her throat to the edge of her dress's neck almost near to her heart. Shree wasn't stopping him but Partha's true love for her stopped him from going further as he found Shree was badly drunk. It was past midnight, she needed to be back home to her family. They left the place and stepped forward towards the elevator. From 40th floor till the ground floor no one entered and Partha didn't let go of the chance to give a long deep french kiss. Some kisses happened in the car even while Partha dropped her at home...

It’s About Me - An Ordinary Woman:

A simple story of the journey of an ordinary Woman – a daughter, a sister, a professional, a wife, a daughter-in-law and a mother – to a Role Model and an inspiration to more such ordinary women.

I, Tanusri Sengupta was born in Kolkata, India. I am the first child of my parents, Debjani and Asit Kumar Sengupta. My brother, Arnab, is 4 years younger to me. We were raised in a small town, Bandel, suburbs of Kolkata, due to my father’s transferable job. We got educated in the town schools. Since it was a town, we did not get all the facilities of a city life but still had the opportunity to grow up in the midst of lush green atmosphere. Everything was going great until I fell severely ill.

I was in the 10th standard; in the midst of my semester, when I was diagnosed with acute anaemia and had been hospitalized. I was in the verge of life and death. My father donated me two bottles of blood. That was the time when my father taught me that life is an exciting rollercoaster journey of ups & downs, which must be cherished with a smile. I fought with my illness strongly and recovered in 3 months. I recovered but not completely, as severe health problems like acute asthma, migraine, cyst and so on started to occur. In the meanwhile, my grandfather, who was dearest to me, departed us for his heavenly abode. It was a shock for the entire family. I consoled myself and became the strength of my mother and grandmother. At the age of twenty, I learnt my first lesson of moving on in life with more strength, focus and fitness. I focussed on my fitness and overcame all the barriers of health problems.

Then after post graduating, I got married to my childhood friend after little opposition from my relatives.

After marriage, all of a sudden our love was over shadowed with the feeling of responsibility for each other. We started to work hard to earn good living and better lifestyle but at the cost of quality time for each other. Our marriage was not working, at times we felt. Then, we were blessed with our son, Ankit. I left my job in the mid way to take care of my child and to save my marriage. I had a feeling that in this situation I was losing myself and gradually realized that the only problem in between us was the lack of understanding. Love was nevertheless, it was just overshadowed. We were not finding that spark in our marriage.

In the meantime, I came across 10 years of my marriage. I tried to focus on what exactly needed to repair, as there were no lesser feelings of love for each other and felt strongly that to feel for each other we need to part our ways for some time. I knew it was a risk, I was going to take. Anything could had happened. But I had no option left. I wanted to give space to each other. So I decided to visit my brother in USA along with son for a month. I suppressed all my love in my heart but with the hope, “distance makes love grow fonder”, I kept smiling and challenged myself that now I should grow as a 21st century woman.

I gained confidence, learnt to control my emotions and the art of keeping smiling. I grew as a mother, as a confidant woman, became fearless and started loving myself.

Perhaps, this was the best trip in my life because this trip had made me learn how to stay happy even in contrast situations. While we were returning from USA, my husband flew to Dubai to receive us. It was totally a surprise. He gifted me a ring and shared his feeling of loneliness from the moment I left him.

We felt that relationships should not be dragged. At times we need to be fearless to leave it for some time. “If you love someone, set them free. If they come back they're yours; if they don't they never were.” - Richard Bach

As I came back, I thought to restart my career. That was a huge decision I had to make because I had to settle my son. Although everything fell in place now, I come back from office and sit with him to help him in his homework. I never forget to ask him, “Beta, how was your day today?” I enriched my time management skills and professionalism.

Now I have learnt to manage time for others also. I teach the daughters of mashi (my domestic helper) which brings me immense happiness. I feel great when they come with a smile after their results, which are my true rewards. It’s true that an empowered woman can empower another woman. I feel good to know that not I am an inspiration for my friends, neighbours and relatives. I participate in various fun-filled sports / activities across the city such as Marathon, Night Cycling, Zumba, etc.

As I went on discovering myself as a woman, opportunities like Next Nandini (Kolkata based beauty pageat) knocked my door. I tried my luck. Although it was a local beauty pageant of last year, it had made me feel that age is just a number. I was amongst the top finalists.

Now, I got selected as the finalist of an International beauty pageant for Indian married women across the globe. Haut Monde has given wings to my dreams. I, Mrs India Worldwide Finalist 2018, am waiting for my dreams to take off.

God have created women as their most beautiful creations. As a woman, I am portraying all the roles of my life. So, I believe - if I can, then anyone can. One needs to be healthy, confident, hardworking and fearless, focussed and be true to oneself.

As I traverse this walk of life as the finalist of an upcoming International beauty pageant, I find my childhood dream of changing a bit of the world to its betterment is coming true. I feel delighted and blessed to justify all the roles of a woman skilfully which in turn makes me a Woman of Substance in true sense.

I believe in change & I am the change.

Rachel Whetstone, The Head of Communications and Policy of Uber, has resigned after working in Uber for 2 years

Rachel Whetstone's resignation was confirmed by Travis Kalanick, the Chief executive of Uber company, in an all-staff email on Tuesday.
No reason has been given for her quitting the job, though it follows months of a disturbance at Uber.

Ms. Whetstone joined the Uber company from Google in 2015. In a leaving statement, she said: "I am incredibly proud of the team we have built".
"Just as when I left Google, a strong and brilliant woman will be taking my place. I joined Uber because I love the product - and that love is as strong today as it was when I reserved my very first ride six years ago."
Jill Hazelbaker, who had deputized for Ms. Whetstone, will take over. Uber would not say if the move would be immediate.
Mr. Kalanick emailed staff on Tuesday afternoon to share the news - and with it, attached a picture of himself and Ms. Whetstone on a recent hiking trip.
"I am looking forward to having her as an advisor for years to come," he wrote.
"With many more long hikes along the Skyline Trail."
He added: "Rachel was way ahead of the game when it came to many of the changes we needed to make as a company to make sure of our future success - from promoting cross-functional teamwork to improving diversity and inclusion."

Hey, folks, this is my first post on IT resume building techniques for my tech career in the US IT job market.
By now you must have known about my blogging frequency. I am a blogger by mood.
Since 8 years, I had been just a mother 24x7. I had dropped off my career after my son's birth and thereafter, all my focus and energy was solely on his upbringing.
Now, he is a big boy of 8 years. I get enough time for myself. Just restarted up my career (7 months) in a big company with great people all around.

After almost 8 years of my career break, I was in a bit dilemma on how to build my resume as per the current IT trends in this technical job market in the USA. I kept on looking for some good blogs, guiding me with how to restart a career confidently after some years of break. My friends and family also boosted up my energy and confidence to post my resume to different job portals.

I googled for some top US job portals and registered with them. Since I am a tech person, my niche search was IT job portals in the USA. The following are some of the leading US IT job portals - Dice.Com, TechFetch.Com, ZipRecruiter.Com, Monster.Com, etc.

I was not getting any relevant job offers from big companies. This was quite frustrating as well as depressing for me. I was in constant thought that in spite of having 6+ years of experience, why my tech resume was not being shortlisted by those big giant IT companies. One of my friend who works in some good recruiting firm looked into my resume. As per her, the format of my resume was not as per the current IT industry standard. Then she suggested me some resume building tips and asked me to register with another upcoming IT job portal.

Roam Around USA in 30 days - my own experiences with my 6 years old son.

A plan to visit and roam around USA just popped in my mind when I came across the holiday list of my son's school. Gosh! it was exactly 30 days starting from May 16 till June 15. My little brother, a Senior Project Head in USA, encouraged me to the great extent. Unfortunately my husband did not get 30 days off from his work area. So, I decided to go with my plan to "roam around USA in 30 days" with my little son during his summer vacation. I went on looking through the websites and arranged all the required documents accordingly. My husband and my brother helped me immensely.

Steps I followed for my plan to "Roam Around USA" were: Just two months before the planned date to visit and roam around USA, I contacted a travel agency for the USA visa registration purpose. In the meantime I had to collect many important documents. Since I was visiting to my brother's place, he had to give me certain important documents from his end also. Currently, being dependent on my husband financially and also having a minor child, according to the USA rule, my husband had to give his supporting documents as well as a consent letter. With all the correct documents, it took hardly 10 days to get the appointment for the bio-metric round, the first official step towards my vacation plan to travel around USA in 30 days. The next day was the visa interview round at the USA Embassy. He had to take off from his school on that day.

Visa To Roam Around USA

My husband had to wait outside the Embassy in the scorching heat of March for around 3 hours odd. The security personnel did not allow anyone other than the candidates to enter the Embassy. The Embassy security personals did not allow anyone to take mobile phones, tabs, laptops, bags, food and beverages. In one hand I was carrying all the documents in a transparent folder with a pen inside and on the other hand I was holding my son's hand. The total process took almost 3 hours. My son gradually became irritated and restless. He did not eat food or find any play mates or play zone around for so long. When the interview person greeted my son, "Hey dude! what's up..how u doing this morning?", without even taking a fraction of seconds he replied, "I am not fine. I am very hungry this morning.". Hahaha. After much exchange of questions and answers, the handsome hunk stamped my passport with the USA visa. I was extremely excited, felt to jump and hop around. And yes of cos, we got the tickets and was set for the trip to roam around USA. (continue)

Wish you all a very safe happy Deepavali in this year 2009.

Diwali or Deepavali is a festival of lights as per Hindu calendar. Diwali is a five day Hindu festival which occurs on the fifteenth day of Kartika. Diwali means "rows of lighted lamps" and the celebration is often referred to as the Festival of Lights. During this time, homes are thoroughly cleaned and windows are opened to welcome Laksmi, goddess of wealth. Candles and lamps are lit as a greeting to Laksmi. Gifts are exchanged and festive meals are prepared during Diwali.

Because there are many regions in India, there are many manifestations of the Diwali festival. In at least one area, the festival begins with Dhanteras, a day set aside to worship Laksmi. In the Indian culture, wealth is not viewed as a corruptive power. Instead, a wealthy person is considered to have been rewarded for good deeds of a past life.

On the second day Kali, the goddess of Strength, is worshipped. This day also focuses on abolishing laziness and evil.

On the third day (the last day of the year in the lunar calendar), lamps are lighted and shine brightly in every home. The lamp symbolizes knowledge and encourages reflection upon the purpose of each day in the festival. The goal is to remember the purpose throughout the year.

The fourth day of Diwali falls on the first day of the lunar New Year. At this time, old business accounts are settled and new books are opened. The books are worshipped in a special ceremony and participants are encouraged to remove anger, hate, and jealousy from their lives.

On the final day (Balipratipada) of the festival, Bali, an ancient Indian king, is recalled. Bali destroyed the centuries old philosophies of the society. However, in addition to this, he is remembered for being a generous person. Thus, the focus of this day is to see the good in others, including enemies.

Because there is no one universally accepted Hindu calendar, this holiday may be celebrated on a different date in some parts of India, but it always falls in the months of October or November.

In Hinduism, across many parts of India and Nepal, it is the homecoming of Rama after a 14-year exile in the forest and his victory over Ravana. In the legend, the people of Ayodhya (the capital of his kingdom) welcomed Rama by lighting rows (avali) of lamps (dĭpa), thus its name: deepavali.

Exist Or Does Not Exist - God, Tantra, Evil Spirit. One day in my office, a group of eight, in the lunch hour, started dicussing this and that topic, nothing specific. Then suddenly our discussion turned to the topic called God, Tantra, Evil Spirit. Few said, God exists but else are just baseless, some said super-natural power exists can be of any form and rest said nothing is there like any power or something.

I was in the team of super natural power. One of my colleague said, people often do black magic with bad intensions to destroy relationship and all.

The topic gradually was becoming interesting and more interesting... At the end it became very controversial. It didn't end yet... It was kept open as the majority was confused.... Ha ha ha...

What do you guys say? Does God, Tantra, Evil Spirit really exist or not? Share your opinion or experiences with us. We are having this as a open discussion.

Tour To PanchKedar - True Story Of A Friend Tammy

Tammy aka Tanmoy. A very true story of a friend named Tammy. It’s a very interesting story for me. A friend, colleague, who is very much into trekking, had this experience while his tour to PanchKedar, a hill of five peaks or five Kedars. Tammy, I usually call him with this name, went to Panch Kedar in last year with two of his close friends. Before starting out his trip tale, I must say few things before. Before going for the trip he bought a new shoe which he wore and got accustomed in Kolkata.

Now finally let’s start the tour…

Tammy with two of his friends, all had rook sack filled with water bottle, torch, regular wears, and other necessary things, were doing masti while traveling. In the meantime while trekking, Tammy got hurt in his knee, still didn’t stop trekking. Quite impressive I must say. They were on their way to visit Madhya Maheshwar Mandir, one amongst the five Kedars, situated at 11000 / 12000 feet altitude.

Tammy and his friends ultimately reached the Mandir with much pain in his knees and their feet were by then stressed and swollen. They took rest there and in the next morning gave Puja, had their heavy breakfast and then again started to come down the hill. They started just after breakfast so that they could cover the greater distance within the daylight.

Tammy’s leg needed at least 3 – 4 days rest to get cured. His friends asked him to take rest and said him that they will start altogether next day. Very good friends they are, The Three Musketeers. He denied taking rest as he didn’t want to mess up the trip. So they started their trek again.

Tammy with much pain in his knees was trekking down. They were almost 6000 feet down. Suddenly his shoes stopped giving comfort to his feet. He wore before and they were not that much new. But as he trekked for so long, his new shoes became a problem. Since it was a dense hilly forest throughout the way, they didn’t find any tea stall or rest house till then. So, they kept on trekking. The path was not that smooth. The hill was very steep and the way was narrow. It was around 4.30 pm. Sun sets earlier in hilly areas. So it was almost dark. They found a wild pig coming down. They held breathe and stopped for a while with their back at the wall side. They kept on watching the wild and it passed across them. They closed their eyes and said “Thank God”.

They started to trek again. It was darker.

Suddenly, Tammy and his friends found a beam of light coming out of somewhere. They went nearer and found it a tea stall. Tammy was happy now. His leg was almost senseless by then. He now opened up his shoes and found his feet were swollen. One of the nails of his right feet was already topsy-turvy and was bleeding heavily. They had tea, biscuits, snacks, water, and took rest for few hours. The chaye-wala said that they can book a rest house which is 3 / 4 km away. Two of his friends went to book the rest house and Tammy started up his journey alone.

It was much darker by then… no one around. Tammy was all alone. A little boy of the chaye-wala was only there with him. He kept on telling him stories about the wild life of the hilly areas.

Suddenly Tammy saw a big black dog was following them. He was scared. But the dog didn’t harm them. The dog went all the way along with them. Tammy by now saw his friends waiting for him. They waived hands. Tammy joined them. The little boy went inside the rest house to keep his rook sack, Tammy turned back to see the dog. But he was surprised. He didn’t find the dog anywhere. There was no other way around that the dog could take. Tammy was surprised. He says still now that the dog was there to protect him from other wild animals.

French Toast for four slices:
2 eggs, beaten
1 TBSP syrup
1/4 cup cream
2 TBSP melted butter
2 TBSP Grand Marnier
Mix all of the above ingredients together and dip bread in mixture, coating both sides. Melt another tablespoon of butter (or use canola oil) in a skillet on low heat. Brown the bread on both sides, adding butter as necessary. Serve with warm maple syrup and top with whipped cream.

Scrambled Eggs (Oven):
(6- 12 servings)
• 12 eggs
• 3/4 cup skim or 1% low-fat milk
• 1 teaspoon salt, optional
• 1/4 teaspoon pepper, optional
In large bowl, beat together eggs and milk with salt and pepper, if desired, until blended. Pour egg mixture into lightly greased 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking pan. Place in preheated 350° F oven. As mixture begins to set, after about 7 minutes, pull out oven rack and gently draw an inverted pancake turner completely across bottom and sides of pan, forming large, soft curds. Continue baking. Repeat drawing a few more times until eggs are thickened and no visible liquid egg remains, about 12 to 15 minutes more. Do not stir constantly.

Mother’s Day! Happy Mothers Day!
Mothers Day is celebrated on the second Sunday of May every year. This year Mother’s Day is on 10th May, 2009. Mother’s Day is celebrated globally these days to show love and respect to all mothers. It’s the day to show gratitude to mothers for giving us love, support, and affection. Mother’s Day is the day to show respect to them for giving us life.
This year in Jan, I became mother for the first time. Now I came to know the meaning of motherhood more perfectly. And so, though Moms Day is far away, I am already planning for a special Mother’s Day gift or gift ideas for my mother.
Me and my brother have some plans but you guys can suggest me some more!!!

I have a plan to decorate my mom’s room the night before Mothers Day after she falls asleep. My mom loves flowers a lot especially yellow roses. Then will bake a cake. My bro has a plan to gift our mother a cute cat as she loves them. Then we have a plan for a family dinner tonight somewhere outside.
