Discovering Life's Purpose

Like a never ending desert mirage we search for meaning in our lives. There are many of roads to choose, ideas to employ and viewpoints to use, shape, and take on as our own. With each stage of our lives we face confusion because of the many directions we can choose to take in life. Circumstances, people, institutions, concepts all play a part in molding and shaping our journey. Our environment shapes us, molds us and helps us to define our character; more than we can imagine. So our purpose; our meaning is an evolving work in progress, constantly changing and morphing into our reality.

We choose paths in our lives influenced by powerful institutions and structures. What is our path? It is the growth intellectually that we seek in our lives? It is the choices we make to remain stagnant or to grow? Influences can be quite powerful, that they can totally consume our thinking and lead us down destructive paths. Finally circumstances sometime force us to take entirely different paths.

What we seek in our lives says volumes about our character and our values. We are primarily concerned with "me" and that fixation can drive our outlook and or desires. Life changing events can roll over just about anything, certainly our plans, our hopes and our future.

It takes a life changing event to ground us, open us to new possibilities that we did not or have not considered. For me it was a diagnoses of advance prostate cancer, at the age of forty-eight I was devastated to learn that I had this dreaded disease. The statistics say 1 in 5 men will get prostate cancer and that if a man lives long enough he will eventually get prostate cancer; it is a by-product of aging. It is a common cancer among elderly men. It is uncommon for a forty-eight year old man to get prostate cancer. Everything that you are in a physical sense is challenged. Because your primary focus now is to merely survive. I'm fifty-three now and I am a cancer survivor.

I' m not sure if you can grasp that, not knowing if you will be around five years from now can have a devastating effect on your plans and the way you view your future. When you a battling cancer you learn not to focus so much on tomorrow, but everyday you live to see is a victory and you live in the here and now. I saw the things that I wanted to accomplish fade away, they became meaningless. My focus now is on surviving my cancer. I tackled this mission with a zeal and passion that I've thrown into nearly everything I've done. This time the stakes are high. It is a battle for life or death.

It's been five years now and I am still winning the battle. I'm a survivor as we cancer survivors call ourselves. A funny thing happened to me along the way in this five year battle. I learned more than I ever knew about life. I learned about God's green earth and the many wonders that God has given us. I learned that God answers prayers because I'm still here by His grace. I learned that God's will is for us to know His word. There is comfort is spending time with Him each and every morning that I am blessed to see. I took up bike riding with my wife and got in touch with nature. I journal to the Lord each morning and meditate to Him each night. I have read the bible nearly every chapter and in the process learned more that I ever knew about the word of God and myself. I learned I needed to make changes in my life. It you ask me what is the meaning of life now? I would say that it loving God and His Son Jesus Christ. It is reaching out to others to bring them to the Body of Christ. My goal is now to be the most devoted follower of the Lord that I can be. My purpose is firm, by desire is steadfast

I refuse to accept satan’s lies based on the death of Christ for my sins, I stand Forgiven for eternity before God. I refuse any attempt to cause me to doubt what Christ has done for me. His death is sufficient payment for my transgressions- I am accepted an loved by God.

Almighty God, In Jesus Name I pray that You help me to remove any negative thoughts that may try to come into my mind such as those that may attempt to discourage me, discourage action, prosperity, faith, positive thinking, and anything else not named. This is the work of satan and I renounce, rebuke, and disarm, any attempt of satan to steal the gift of Grace that You gave me through our Lord and Savior. Jesus Christ. In Jesus name I pray according to His perfect will…… Amen.

Almighty God in Jesus Name I pray for the consistency and resiliency of Job and I pray for the strength and fortitude of Paul to run the race for our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ; never giving up to evil thoughts and pressing on to receive the full blessing from the work that Jesus did on the cross on Calvary. In Jesus Name it is so according to His perfect will…. Amen

In Jesus Name I pray that circulation will be restored in my legs and swelling will go down in my legs. I pray that I will walk perfectly and that my balance will return. In Jesus name it is so. According to His will…. Amen.

Almighty God, I confess and repent of all sins in Jesus name. According to the work the Christ did on the cross at Calvary. I pray in Jesus Name it is so according to his will…… Amen.

If anyone believes the Holy Bible is open to many different interpretations you are wrong. God’s word literally ‘is what it is”. You can fool yourself by thinking you have it all figured out. But guess what? If you have never in your life read every book of the bible to truly understand the message, then quite frankly you are not qualified to comment on anything.

I will say this the Bible is a book about good vs evil. There is no in between. In effect you must choose which side you’re own. Almighty God, gave his only Son, Jesus Christ, who gave his life for all of us so that we would have safe refuge from our sins, inequities, and transgressions. All we need to do is accept Jesus Christ through confession to him of our sins, transgressions, and inequities. Confess that we are sinners and that you want him to come into your life.

When you do this you will have eternal life even when your physical body is no longer here. Jesus Christ died to overcome this sinful world. There is sin all around us. Decadence, moral decay, and everything that is an abomination to God.
The best thing you can do is study the bible, know its message and be careful to ask the Lord to send the Holy Spirit to give you the discernment you will need to understand the powerful verses and stories in the bible. The more time you give to God, the more understanding he gives to you.

You don’t have to work to be save and receive the gift of eternal life, all you have to do is ask Jesus to come into your life. No matter what you have done, where you been, the shame that has permeated your life, means nothing to Him. You can become a new person by simply asking Jesus Christ to come into your life and you accept Jesus as the Lord of your life. It is His gift of Grace to you.

He made the supreme sacrifice for you on a hill called Calvary a long time ago, so that you would have the opportunity to ask Him to come into your life at anytime. If you have not done so, you can do it right now. Time is running out. Don’t die and leave this earth without doing so. The Lord’s tent is big, it does not matter what you have done, the Lord will accept you, anyone, right here, right now.

A good movie to watch to understand God love for you through His Son, Jesus Christ, is ‘The Passion of the Christ“,buy it or rent it today and then start reading the bible from Genesis to Revelations. Understanding will come to you through God’s grace.

If you are ready right now to be saved, say this prayer.
“Heavenly Father, have mercy on me, a sinner. I believe in you and that your word is true. I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of the living God and that he died on the cross so that I may now have forgiveness for my sins and eternal life. We can fret over our life circumstance. Yet in most situations it does absolutely no good to fret or worry.

We must learn to wait patiently on the Lord to act in His own time and In His own way. This directive requires that we grow our faith. That we rely on the promises of the Lord to know that he will eventually act. In His own time and in His own way.

We must wait patiently on the Lord.

Rick Perry's Day of Prayer

I tuned into the internet stream of Governor Rick Perry's Event and I can honestly say that it was not political, but spiritual, giving honor and glory to the Lord and our Savior Jesus Christ. It's about living for the purpose of Almighty God.

The event was an opportunity to give praise and honor to the Lord. I am not a Republican by any means, but I am drawn to the message of giving praise, honor and glory to the Lord. Any mean-spirited, judgmental exercise is not appropriate, God would not condone such behavior.
Jesus addressed this issue of Prideful Judgement behavior by saying these words in Matthew 7: 5- You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother's eye.

Speakers emphasized we much get our own house in order, rather than point fingers at others. If all of us did this, we would find that the world would live morally and walk in the light of Lord. All of us have fallen short of the glory of the Lord. But we must take a stand for the Lord God Almighty.
We must stand up for Jesus, in the face of attacks from everyone. His name is precious and His name is wonderful and He can do the same for your life.
You tried everything else in the evil world, why not try Him? Almighty God is all inclusive and includes everyone on this earth.

Your home is with the Lord, confess your sins ask, Jesus to come into your life right here right now and come back home to Him today. Nothing in this world can give you the peace of mind that you'll experience by doing this.... don't trust me, trust the Lord Today.

Released From the Bondage of the Past

Even when we are faced with destructive cycles and behavior from our childhood, that same behavior can cause trouble when we are adults and embark on raising our own family. These ingrained and learned behaviors and ways of thinking, can hinder you from becoming all that God created you to be. They are liabilities that are passed down, because they are never given to God, who can certainly heal them.

You can certainly break the cycle of learned and taught behavior , by asking God to remove this burden from you and show you a different way to live your life. Everything God teaches is right and pure and certainly correct. The Lord will give you the strength you need to be released from emotional and generational bondage.

You need not be impeded by mistakes, beliefs, or destructive learned behavior passed down by your ancestors. Don't let those liabilities linger any longer. Let God make you part of his family, healthy, holy and free.

God you know the failings of my family and how they have affected me. Heal me and teach me to live in a manner worthy of your name. Amen.

God Works Together With Those Who Love Him To Bring About Good

satan, has a plan and the plan is not a secret, you should know it. You should be aware of it. He does not hide it. He pulls out the blueprint for its implementation nearly everyday. So this is not something that he hides from you. He proudly and mockingly comes at you using every means at his disposal. What is it? He wants to destroy you. He wants to beat you down, take away your faith in God. Take way your pledge to live a sin free existence through Christ Jesus and to have you back slide and return to living your life on, or introduce you to the dark side of life.

He might try to shatter your hopes and recruit junior demons to harass you. Come at you with accusations , filth and other garbage that only he can manufacture. The difference is we have the full armor, we have the power through Christ to put satan in his place anytime, anyplace. Because no scheme devised by satan or any other man, can foil those plans that the Lord has in store for you.
Take up your weapon now, claim you prize through Christ and Fight with your faith and the word of God. Put on the Full Armor.

God has spoken concerning an issue that is very important to you an He’s given you a promise that resonates deep within your soul. You know it is from Him because His word confirms it and His deep peace fills you when you pray.

Thank God, right here, right now, that His promises to you are completely unbreakable and that the obstacles before you, traps laid by satan are nothing to you.

Jesus Is The Way, The Truth and The Life

This is a powerful message, study it, believe it, it will protect us all from the sin and decadence of the world, where the media, sinful people, and nearly everyone, are trying desperately to turn us are away from our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. You know the institutions, you know those who believe this and their beliefs. I don't need to outline or identify them for you. You know sin when you see it. If it is uncomfortable and you feel something pulling at your heart, or that inner voice inside of you, the activity you are engaging in is sin. Take hold of this message and it will save you from satan's plot to destroy you with the decadence of the world. satan will take your life and your soul with the tools of the world.

Encouragement to Be Faithful

Remember Jesus Christ, raised form the dead, descended from David. This is my gospel, for which I am suffering even to the point of being chained like a criminal. But God's word is not chained. Therefore I endure everything for the sake of the elect that they to may obtain the salvation that is in Christ Jesus with eternal glory.

Here is a trustworthy saying:

A Workman Approved By God

Keep reminding them about these things. Warn them before God against quarreling about words: it is of no value, and only ruins those who listen. Do your best to present yourself before God as one approved, a workman who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth. Avoid Godless chatter, because those who indulge in it will become more and more ungodly. Their teaching will spread like gangrene.

A Physical Assault Is an Opportunity for God To Show His Power In Your Life

I write today about a physical assault, it could be any sickness or disease that attacks us with or without our knowledge. Our house is literally broken into, but our alarm system is powerful, it is is manned 24/7 by Almighty God, who has a plan for us despite our circumstances and foils the attack of the intruder. It is no random rescue, yes this one is calculated and laced with precision. You see Almighty God has a plan for everyone facing any devastating sickness. But you must take heed to the message and know that God has saved you from satan's assault on your body so that you will draw near and close to Him.

The fact that the sickness was discovered in your body is enough evidence for you to know that God is protecting you and is on the case. God wants you to remember that there is a purpose for your life and that is to draw ever closer to Him. Say Amen! Give thanks and all glory and honor to the Lord and get busy telling everyone about Almighty God and his Son and our Savior Jesus Christ! That your purpose, you finally have received a wake up call that you cannot ignore. Remember God is Good and His mercy endures forever.

God Has Absolute And Perfect Moral Control Over His Creation

God has Moral control and authority over this universe. He does not follow or hold to any earthly government's moral authority or moral thoughts. God's is bigger than that, He controls absolutely everything in his creation, even the laws and precepts, that earthly nations have set forth. This is not easy for us to understand, but it is a concept that is etched in the reality of our existence.

We may not always understand what God is doing, and God does not have to tell us. What we must train ourselves to understand, that God works for the good of those, who love the Lord and are called according to His will.

Listen For God's Instruction

You know we waste all our time trying to be the best. The world is so vile and destructive that we waste our time engaging in destructive activity. Trying to be the best, trying to compete. You know what, Almighty God, Our Father, has already designated each one of us the best. We don't have to compete anymore for meaningless worldly accolades. He accepts us for who we are, what we are, and it's just enough for Him to Know we are His Children.

So the next time you find yourself competing to be the best, just be the best you can be. God already has a plan for you and it will come to fruition. God has a plan for you, all He ask is for you to grow to be the best you can be in Christ. If you do that, God will take your talent and mode it for the Glory of His Kingdom. God Loves and Cares for you, that's why you do not need to compete against earthly foes, but rather perform to the best of your ability, for the Glory of God...... Now that is Sweet Love!

In God's Own Time and In God's Own Way

You know the Lord works in His on time. I been contemplating and studying that concept for that last few days. Not only that, I've been thinking about request that we make to Him. You know, mundane request, about please help me out of this situation or that. Could be life and death healing situations. Whatever the case, we sometimes don't get an immediate response. I'm like, God, where are you? Shame on me for asking.

As I contemplated, where God was. Why was He not answering my prayer? I continued to study and meditate and the answer came to me over a series of daily readings. God is always with us, in the mist of a Storm, Yesterday He was with us, and because God is all knowings and omnipresent, He's even with us in the present, the past and the future. He is literally everywhere at once. So His Son Jesus Christ has prepared the path of Salvation for us and by Grace we are saved. So if it appears that our prayer is not being answered; guess what? God is on the case, He is right there next to you as you read this, He's with me right now as I write this. He's with us always, Yesterday, Today and Forever.

So the next time you find yourself doubting God, maybe even doubting his existence. Remember He is with us as we go through each trail and the answer to your prayer may not come today, tomorrow, or even this month, but trust me He hears you and your prayer will be answered In God's Own Time and In God's Own Way.

Simply Your Way Out!

Did you know God gave you the gift of salvation through His Son Jesus Christ before you were even born? He cared enough for you that He gave his only Son, who died on Calvary for the sole purpose of giving His life so you and all of us would have the gift of salvation and eternal life! It was and is a gift of absolute grace. We don't have to work for it, We don't have to take a study course and memorize everything in order to have Salvation. It is finished and done through Jesus Christ. That, my friend is all it is to it. You only have one thing to do, acknowledge the work that Jesus did on the cross for you and in prayer, ask Him to come into your life and renounce your life as a sinner.

You know we have all fell short of the Glory of the Lord and we are all sinners. The Good News of Jesus Christ is the Gift he gave us by dying on the cross on Calvary, which released us from satan's hold on our lives. That's the Good News of Jesus Christ! God expects us to honor Him and confess our sins that we commit, but nevertheless we are saved the minute that we pray and ask Jesus Christ to come into our hearts our minds, and our lives. We will stumble, and fall short of the glory of God. But we have a clear way out through Jesus Christ.

Father, I come to you through your Son and Our Savior Jesus Christ, who died on Calvary for My Salvation. God Directs Our Path In Times of Need

No matter how rocky the road we can always go back to the principles that brought us this far. A deep abiding trust in the Lord is a very present help in a time of need. God gives us signs that He is still working on our behalf through his works in our life. Take heed and do not discount his blessings. They are signs from the Lord. They are promises of good things to come. We cannot see the future, but the Lord can lead and guide us through each and every challenge.

Give It Up For The Lord

It's time for us to give it all up for the Lord. You know we give lips service, professing that we love the Lord and all that. You know what I'm talking about. "True That". Claiming that we are emerged in the Lord and His word, but in reality were infatuated with the world. You know God remembers when we neglect the things God holds dear, humility, honesty, trust, Jesus Christ, love, care, commitment, reverence, praise and the ability to live spirit filled lives.

So we must give it up for the Lord, let him be part of our house, which is His House. Our bodies belong to Him and we should respect that. If you are not ready, you're taking a chance, because Jesus Christ can come back at anytime........the Bible says like a thief in the night. It want be predicted, as a false profit suggested in May 2011. Let us be willing now to go in service of the Lord, right here, right now! It time to give it up for the Lord.

We find ourselves challenged and confronted with life circumstances. I am not immune. Yet I'm not worried, I am calm and reserved that GOD HAS MY BACK. When satan attemps to surprise you with implementation of pot holds in your life....................it like a heavy weight boxer just floored you.

That would be a diagnoses, the death of a love one, or some other tragic event. But those of us who have grown our faith, know that God is with us and he will never give us more than we can bear.

But we must do our part, have unbreakable faith, so when the knockout punch comes from sickness, we can overcome. Receive the legacy that Jesus Christ left for us on Calvary.

A legacy of HEALING. Isaiah 53: 5 is clear it says. "He was wounded for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities. The chastening for our well being fell upon Him and BY HIS STRIPES WE ARE HEALED.

I AM HEALED THROUGH THE STRIPES OF JESUS. I will seize the moment declare victory over the evil of cancer................right here right now! "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."

I have learned that we must eliminate double mindednesss while at the same time grow an unshakeable faith in the Lord and His Son, Jesus Christ.

This cannot be done without a commitment to live and learn from his word in The Holy Bible. God wants us to have unshakeable faith, to live it and reflect it.
