To be honest, I think the only part that I enjoyed [the most] out of all the events in the WIFW, was dressing up and taking pictures and maybe coming across well-dressed people. It involved a lot of running around and meeting obligations as a blogger, but I think it went pretty well this time.

I would have loved some backstage passes though.

Here are some glimpses of the second show on Day 2 of the WIFW. The designers in order were Chandrani Siingh Fllora, Kartikeya & Isha, and Dhruv & Pallavi. It's quite a task to capture sharp pictures without the flash so this will have to do.

Apart from the rich colours and the work on the fabric, I don't really have much to commend on these collections.

The Wills India Fashion Week Autumn/Winter 2012 is now in full swing, the opening show being the S&N Drape by Shantanu and Nikhil. They had a lot of pewter glitter combined with a lot of rich colours. Not exactly my favourite collection, but I think they set a pretty high standard for the shows that were to follow.

I liked the sight of beautiful models scurrying around the place in their off-the-ramp clothes, filling their breaks with snacks and drinks from the food stalls. A few well dressed people caught my eye but I wasn't exactly blown away by any of them.

I'm hoping to draw inspiration from the rest of the shows in the last two days of the fashion week.

Did you hear? One of the most popular photo editing sites, Picnik is closing in April. This only means one thing; their premium features are free for everybody to use! I don't solely depend on Picnik to edit my photos, but some of their effects like the 'Gritty' and 'CinemaScope' are pretty awesome. You might want to explore and experiment a little, if you're too lazy to use Photoshop or just plain enthusiastic about photo editing.

I'm thinking of getting a digital perm sometime soon but I'm still a little hesitant because it may go terribly wrong for some and perfectly all right for others. Digital perm is a pretty upcoming technology which originated from Japan, and it's sometimes called 'the Japanese perm'. They're apparently less damaging to the hair as the temperature of the rollers can be controlled and conditioned to create whatever texture a client desires. It sounds pretty convincing doesn't it?

I've thought about temporary ones using my curling rod but my hair is pretty stubborn when it comes to retaining curls, even with good hair products. So there lies my dilemma.

Hopefully I come up with a decision soon. Have you ever got one yourself, or know anybody who's got one? I'd love some reviews. And preferably from salons in Delhi.

I think I'm really fond of the jewellery collection in ASOS. My visits to their accessories section has been increasing in frequency over the past few weeks.

I stumbled upon this claw ear-ring during their 50% off sales and couldn't really pass them up because they were only for £3 [somehow I don't feel the pinch when I transact in foreign currency]. Just thought I'd give a close up of this because they weren't really noticeable in my previous post.

Meet Bling

These 6-inch monsters [the ultimate weapon, as my friends like to call them], are probably one of the most treasured shoes in my closet. Don't be fooled by its appearance. They are comfortable beyond imagination, and they bring the right amount of bling to your outfit. Without these, my grey ensemble would have been drab and boring [with my everyday loafers].

Edge of Urge had a really cool promotion going on their website and I didn't even think twice before engaging myself in it. I had a pretty tough time deciding which pair I would get though. They have some pretty outrageous designs by Jeffrey Campbell in their store so you might want to visit them here. They also provide free gift-wrap on all orders. I don't have a picture of it, but I was extremely delighted with their packaging. It's online stores like this, with great customer care teams that makes me want to remain loyal and continue to shop from them.

I seem to be wearing a lot of my mom's clothes lately. We're not even the same size but I have this thing for oversized clothing so it all works out. Also, I've been indulging in much more gold jewellery and for a person like me, who doesn't really do much accessory shopping, it's smarter to invest in a few pieces that can be worn with almost everything.

Pumped Up Kicks

[Dolce Vita Jemma, Shoemint Pauline, Converse Chuck Taylor]

I've got plenty of outfit ideas that I'm really excited to try, so I hope I don't disappoint my readers by going into hibernation again this year. Just thought I'd show you some of my new [and old] kicks.

The Dolce Vita Jemma is my all time favourite, with the chunky heels and the wine coloured suede outer. I'm exceptionally happy about this purchase, as well as the Shoemint Pauline that I got for just about $2 during it's initial promotion launch. The only problem with the Pauline is that they seem to rub against my ankle and it hurts a little bit. I'll surely find a way around wearing them though.

Lastly, I have my Chucks that I've been wearing to college almost everyday, mostly because I don't get time to take my boots out of their boxes [I like to keep my shoes in boxes].

Anyway I'm hoping for a fruitful 2012 and wish the same for you too.

I've been living in my mom's sweater for days, and I don't really feel like taking them off. The weather makes it so dreadful to change outfits, and it's quite impossible for me to stay without my thermals. I've been catching up with my anime, laying in bed, reading and sleeping and I hardly have the time [or the energy] to go out. This is what I would call a relaxing holiday though, apart from the cold weather.

Coming to what I'm wearing here, my Tardy's were pretty much the center of attention everywhere I went today. That could be one of the reasons why I love statement shoes. Apart from the shoes and my coat, I would say that I'm always dressed like this when I'm home; tights over thermals and an over-sized sweater. Comfortable and warm.

I've left ALL my shoes in Delhi so you'll probably be seeing a lot of my Tardy's in the next few posts (if there will be any).

Christmas is almost here. What's wrapped under your Christmas tree?

It's the festive season and my wardrobe is swimming in shades of red and gold. I went a little overboard and bought two red booties, a red dress [shown above], maroon pants, and a red sweater. Now I'm looking at Aztec prints, sequins, and a lot more gold and glitter.

I have plenty of time to take pictures but trust me, in this weather, all you want to do is lay in bed all day and read a book or watch movies. No promises, but I hope to come up with an outfit post soon. Till then, happy holidays, everybody.

I have finally found some time to come up with a blog post. My mid terms are on and I'd had the most difficult 3 days of this month from the 21st till today. Three papers back to back is not easy when you have to try and cram huge chunks of unfamiliar data and write something about it the next morning, without any sound sleep.

Anyway I'm way past that but there's another problem; the downfall of our Indian Rupee! What's happening to our economy? [DIY skirt (mom's), Jeffrey Campbell Rumble, Zara TRF top]

It just dawned on me that I will never be a regular blogger, as long as I'm in college or maybe even after I graduate. And it made me sad. Very sad.

I'm currently battling a heavy study load, eating disorder [as some people like to assume], and a rat that's been trying to get into my room, who apparently refuses to die even though I've been feeding it rat poison every other day.

Coming to my outfit, the skirt is my mom's which I DIY-ed and made it my own. I just chopped off the inner layer and pinned up the outer mesh to give that waterfall effect. A two minute task. And I finally wore my JC Rumble out of my house and they totally killed my feet! A little bit of a platform would have made them an everyday boot but these aren't meant for a 5-6 hour walk in the park. They're not uncomfortable, but I wouldn't wear them if I have to walk in them all day.

This month I'm coveting the Dolce Vita Jemma and the Zara shopper bag.

A day in the park with miss Rinchen of GoofyGoober served purposeful because we got to take some pretty outfit shots [with the monkeys of course]. Here's a close up of the shoes from my previous post. These ASOS Havocs have been on my mind ever since they were first launched on site a few months ago so when I saw them on sale, it was inevitable that I had to buy them.

The rest of the outfit is pretty much what I wear on a daily basis - a pair of shorts, bodysuit, and an oversized outer, minus the chunky accessories.

I've been dying to cut some of my oversized sweaters so I'm going to get myself a pair of tailor scissors and work on them. DIYs coming soon!

I had a little rendezvous with Arushi, Lesly [you can see her reflection in the glass] and Manou for some undisclosed work and I FINALLY got an excuse to take outfit photographs and rescue my blog from this period of inactivity.

Been thinking about writing on a lot of controversial things but I'm too lazy to even come up with a post, so I've kept that idea aside for now. I don't need the added pressure with my exams around the corner.

Clumsily dressed, I liked the hanging effect created by the crop top and peg trousers. It disguised my unattractively skinny body from it's present form. I need a dietician to make me eat more. I'm serious.

I will show you more pictures of my sandals in my next post. They have a floral embossing on the heel. Very pretty, though I'm sure all you ASOS surfers have already seen them on the website already.

The chill in the air is getting me all pumped up for winter. Aren't you excited, too?

As I had mentioned in my previous post, Bebe has opened a store in the Pacific Mall [Tagore Garden], Delhi and they have plenty to offer. I recently met up with Lesly, Santu, Surabhi, Arushi and Nayantara at the Lacoste Fall/Winter 2011 preview for the bloggers in Delhi.

With their main store set in South Extension II, Lacoste offers an exclusive line of clothing ranging from classic polo shirts to fragrances and footwear for men, women and children. Interesting colour palettes and elegant interior designing in Lacoste showrooms seem to highlight their brand image. Coming to the crocodile, I say it needs no introduction. It represents an eventful history of the brand and its place in the market.

The Lacoste F/W 2011 collection has a variety of colours and simple, yet classy designs. They have some lovely woolen dresses that I have my eyes set on, and an ensemble of rainbow accessories that you must indulge yourself in. Men can also find what they need for a classy winter wardrobe at the Lacoste store, including formal/semi formal footwear that drew my attention as soon as I entered the men's section. They have limited stock of shoes to maintain exclusivity so I suggest that you men [if you're reading] should go grab a pair of sneaks before they're no longer on the racks. Also, not to forget their ever-so-dreamy fragrances, although more of an all season item, they've had a lasting impression on me ever since I first came across the Lacoste Essential cologne. Gorgeous Aayushi had recently sent me some Vero Moda/Only gift vouchers and I've finally utilized them to the last rupee. I got myself a classic white shirt and a pair of suspenders. When I come to think of it, this is the first time I've actually come across a formal/semi formal shirt with a good fit. Cheers to Vero Moda for that.

Coming to the outfit, I like the monochromatic approach to it with a little bit of cream and bronze to soften the edgy black and white look. Yes, I do love to hoard black, white and grey clothes. And no, I'm not a very big fan of colour blocking.

I wonder if you guys noticed my giant man-like hands which I'm very proud of, because of all the things I can do with those [my dad calls them working hands and my friends call me the mechanic]. If you hadn't noticed them before, then now you have.

And, it's another abrupt end to a blog post. Yup, it certainly is.
