3 men arrested for using their family members’ skulls for ritual

The Ogun State police command has arrested three suspected ritualists: Sunday Mathew, 52, Samuel Olaniyi, 65, and Uchenna Olewunne, 49, for using the skulls of people they know for

rituals. According to TheNation, they were arrested with a human skull on July 6, 2019, at Iju, near Ota.

During interrogation, they revealed that the native doctor told them they must know the name of anyone whose skulls theywould be using, and members of his family, among other

information.’ They paid the native doctor N45,000 which he used to preparea special concoction with the human head. They also took

detectives to the family of one of the deceased whose body they exhumed.

The deceased was identified by his family as Idowu Jimoh, who died at the age of 19 on November 15, 2018, following a brief illness and was buried behind his family house.

One of the suspects, Samuel Olaniyi, is said to be related to the family of Idowu. ‘’My regret is that I didn’t get a dime after the whole exercise. I am still a poor man. The devil deceived us,” Olaniyi, who is a palm wine tapper, lamented.

Dammy Krane took to Twitter on Tuesday, January 12 and accused Wizkid of stealing ‘something’ from him.

He later apologized for the Twitter rants via his Instagram account on Thursday, January 14, stating that Wizkid stole his contents without due permission.

Earlier tody both singers were at Club Quilox to hang at an ‘All Black Party’ hosted by Super Eagles and Seattle Sounders FC forward, Obafemi Martins when things got heated between them.

According to NET sources, Dammy Krane was at the club before Wizkid came in at about 4am.

Upon setting eyes on Dammy Krane, Wizkid went over to him and it appears Wizkid got the cold shoulder or something. Following this, he picked up a bottle and smashed it on Dammy Krane’s head.

Club Quilox owner Shina Peller immediately weighed into the matter, taking both musicians to his office in a bid to help settle the scores.

Guests present at the party, said both artistes returned from Peller’s office looking calm like nothing transpired earlier.

But another version of the incident was shared by BEAT FM presenter Osi Dirisu.

He claimed Wizkid walked up to Dammy Krane and threw a glass cup at him which led to a cut on Dammy Krane’s lip.

It was also reported that 2face was called to come intervene and help settle the dispute between both singers. One of the sources said both singers ended up drinking from same glass after the clash.

meeting with the club's hierarchy on Thursday.
The 52-year-old, who guided Chelsea to the

stint at Stamford Bridge with the team

“My husband was an abusive man for many years.
His abuse spiraled out of control when my uncle

Loic Remy’s second-half goal halved the deficit in
Monday night’s match in the Midlands but an
equaliser proved elusive as the Blues slipped to a
consecutive league defeat.
Jamie Vardy gave the league leaders the advantage in
a first half featuring few chances but unfortunately
containing an early injury to Eden Hazard. A Nemanja
Matic header from a set-piece that clipped the
woodwork was the closest we came in the first 45
minutes.

After half-time Chelsea improved, especially after
Jose Mourinho made a tactical change, but Riyad
Mahrez had made it 2-0 to Leicester with a good goal
early in the second period and ultimately that proved
a lead too great to overcome.
In this first Premier League meeting between teams
managed by ‘the Special One’ and ‘the Tinkerman’,
monikers acquired while each was in charge at
Stamford Bridge, both Jose Mourinho and Claudio
Ranieri named an unchanged side, which was not
surprising given both were coming into the game off
the back of wins.
For Chelsea, it was very much a case of trying to
maintain the verve in evidence in the Champions
League against Porto and not relapse to the
frustration and ultimately fruitless showing in our
last league outing against Bournemouth.
An early shot from Mahrez after Cesar Azpilicueta,
making his 100th Premier League appearance, had
been caught out wide on the flank, was comfortable
for Thibaut Courtois and apart from that, it was an
uneventful first 10 minutes of the match.
A chance for the home side to put the in-form Vardy
in on goal was over-hit and a free-kick from Christian
Fuchs was claimed by Courtois, albeit with a second
grab of the loose ball required.
On 15 minutes Chelsea worked our best move of the
half as Oscar took possession in space having moved
out to the right. The Brazilian did well to get his cross
in and even better to make it clear the defence.
Hazard controlled with his chest but his half-volley
was blocked. As a result of trying to stop Oscar
however, Leicester lost a man. Midfielder Danny
Drinkwater went off with a pulled muscle and was
replaced by Andy King.
The game continued on as before with neither side
poised to breakthrough. Courtois had to come to
claim another couple of speculative balls into his box
without properly being tested,
Shortly before the half-hour Hazard was fouled and
not for the first time in the game, but on this
occasion Vardy’s late shove hurt the Belgian who
needed treatment and even then did not look
comfortable as he limped to the touchline. The signal
came for a change to be made and Pedro prepared
for action.
Hazard came back on for one second before turning
and going down the tunnel. This game had been
deprived of his skill and it remains to be seen how
many more will during this busy period.
Three minutes later Leicester took the lead. The ball
was won deep in midfield by the Foxes and played
quickly to the Chelsea left. Mahrez’s cross dipped in
dangerously and Vardy ran into a gap between Terry
and Zouma to volley in.
The home fans had the moment they had come to
see but Chelsea went close to scoring a rapid
equaliser when Matic rose above a crowd at a corner.
His header skimmed off the top of the crossbar.
In open play, the Blues needed to get to more of the
50-50 challenges first, emphasised when Zouma
fouled the darting Vardy on the edge of our area.
Fortunately the free-kick came to nothing.
Courtois saved from Marc Albrighton to ensure the
half-time scoreline mirrored the one back in April.
Within 20 seconds of the restart Vardy took out Diego
Costa at the ankle and this time was booked; the first
yellow card of the game. With the next piece of
action Leicester doubled their lead through their
other top scorer. There was still plenty to do for
Mahrez when he collected a pass on the left of our
area but he did it well, twisting and doubling back
inside Azpilicueta before curling powerfully past
Courtois. A comeback to match last season’s 3-1 win
here now looked a mighty tall order.
Huth was booked for sending Diego Costa tumbling as
they chased a ball into the Leicester half shortly
before Mourinho switched players and formation,
bringing on Cesc Fabregas for Terry as we went to
three men at the back. Remy later came on as an
additional striker.
On the hour there was a moment of hope as
Leicester dealt uncertainly with balls in from wide by
Diego Costa and then Willian and it looked to be
falling for Pedro in front of the net, but a crucial
block was still able to be made.
The Leicester goal continued to live through a couple
of minutes of siege as Diego Costa’s shot from a
Fabregas pass deflected off Kasper Schmeichel and
cleared the net, and then Willian’s corner was missed
by all in the middle but a stretching Ivanovic could
not find a way past the defender on the far post.
Fabregas glanced a Pedro cross on target but without
power in the header and Pedro shot over soon after.
The Blues were now making chances in open play.
There was quarter of an hour to go when substitute
Remy was found just inside the area by Willian but
his attempt to control the ball and wrong-foot his
marker at the same time did not pay off. Moments
later the France international was celebrating his first
league goal of the season.
Pedro’s cross from the left was a peach, the equal to
Mahrez’s for the Foxes opener. Remy, just three
yards out, applied the finishing touch with a firm
header.
This was now a test of Leicester nerve, and maybe
their legs as well given the way they chased hard in
the first half. Albrighton shot wide from distance for
the home side and Remy did similar at the other end
but it was Chelsea with the ball in the opposing final
third more of the time.
When the added-time board showed five minutes
still to play, there was outcry from the home fans
and from Ranieri but it proved to be the case that
our better chances and half-chances had already
come and gone in that lively second half.
Next up are Sunderland at Stamford Bridge. Every
game is vital but this has the added significance of
the 16th-placed Blues facing a team three points
below us.

15-year-old Muslim boy kills neighbour, 26years

The police in Lagos have arrested a 15-year-old
Arabic pupil, Sodiq Isa, for allegedly beating a
neighbour, Johnson Adeboye, 26, to death with a
stick.
PUNCH Metro learnt that the duo had a
disagreement after the deceased complained
that the suspect was making a noise with a plate.
The suspect was alleged to have abused the
deceased, which led to a fight.
In the course of the scuffle, Isa, who is the third
of four children, beat the deceased to death with
a stick.
He was said to have been arrested by policemen
from the Amukoko division before he was
transferred to the State Department of Criminal
Investigation, Yaba.
The incident happened on Townhall Street in the
Amukoko area of Lagos.
The suspect, who hails from Ayereke in Kwara
State, said Adeboye, a Keke Marwa (tricycle)
driver, had first attacked him, and he was forced
to retaliate.
He said he was returning from the school on
December 5, when his food plate fell from his
hand.
He said, “I was returning from Arabic school at
about 5pm that day. The plate I used in taking
food to school fell from my hands. I picked it up
and went to a shop close by to clean it up.
“There was a table in front of the shop; so, I hit
the plate on the table to remove the sand inside
the plate. Johnson (Adeboye) was in front of the
shop, and he told me that I was making a noise
with it.
“I told him I was only trying to clean up the sand
in the plate. He asked me if I was mad, that why
should I be talking to him like that. I responded
and told him I was not mad. He warned me that
if I continued to talk back at him, he would beat
me up. I ignored his threat and walked home.”
He added that the victim followed him home
and continued the threat.
Later, Isa’s grandma, who was at home at the
time, reportedly intervened and asked what the
matter was. The suspect claimed that he was
explaining what had transpired to her when the
victim attacked him from behind.
“Johnson came from behind and started beating
me. Some people around separated us and he
left, but he returned some minutes later to
assault me again.
“People separated us for the second time, but
he went to call one of his friends. Both of them
started assaulting me.
“It was at this point that I felt the urge to defend
myself. I picked a stick on the ground and hit
Johnson on the head.
Immediately, he fell and became unconscious.
Neighbours gathered and rushed him to the
hospital. But it was too late as he was already
dead,” he added.
The suspect, who said he wanted to be an Islamic
cleric, begged for forgiveness, saying it was not
his intention to kill the deceased.
The Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Joe
Offor, confirmed the incident, adding that
investigations were ongoing.

Police uncovered 23 illegal orphanages where babies are allegedly sold in warri

The police in Delta State have uncovered no fewer
than 23 illegal orphanages where babies are
allegedly sold within the Warri and Asaba environs
of the state.

The police arrested 21 persons suspected to be
behind the illicit business, just as they recovered
six babies in the hideout of the suspects.

The Police Public Relations Officer in the state,
Mrs. Celestina Kalu, confirmed the development,
saying that the police, following a tip-off, have
rescued over 40 babies allegedly put up for sale at
various illegal orphanage in Asaba, Kwale and
Warri.
Kalu said, “Recently, the police uncovered a baby
factory behind NTA Asaba and arrested the
operators of the factory. The police also arrested
other 21 persons (male and female) suspected to
be running illegal orphanage homes in Warri
metropolis, their hideout was located at the
outskirt of Warri towards Udu where the police
uncovered an uncompleted buildings where the six
babies were discovered.”

She added that the suspects were currently helping
the police in the investigation.
Kalu said the suspects, upon interrogation,
confessed to the crime, saying they bought babies
from relations of mentally challenged persons and
took them to the home where they were sold.
SUNDAY PUNCH gathered that a six-month baby
was put up for sale for N2.5m, while those
between the ages of three and four years were
sold for N5m.

The state Commissioner for Women Affairs, Mrs.
Omosola Williams, while reacting, said “The state
government is very committed in the fight against
illegal orphanages and sale of babies. We will not
allow such to thrive in Delta State as we partner
with the law enforcement agencies, especially the
police, to bring culprits to book.”

A 9-yrs-old boy recently renewed his vows to a

Sanele Masilela and Helen Shabangu of Tshwane,

South Africa wed in 2013, claiming it was an order

from their dead ancestors. The renewing of the vows

was required by a local tradition which states a

wedding ceremony has to be repeated at the bride’s

The Ogun State Commissioner of Police, Abdulmajid Ali, has moved swiftly to remove the Divisional Police Officer in charge of Kemta Idi-Aba Division, CSP Samuel, for allegedly brutalising a 37-year-old pregnant woman, Risikat Bamidele, leading to her losing her baby, reports Vanguard.

The sad case of police brutality came to the fore last weekend when the woman reported how Samuel had tortured her and had her locked up when she went to see her husband who was detained at the station and made the mistake of making a phone call to her brother-in-law to intimate him of the case.

Reacting to the incident, the CP said when he heard of it, he immediately ordered a discreet investigations into it and at the end, Samuel was indicted and he ordered his immediate removal.

“The DPO involved has been removed and moved to the state headquarters. I have mandated a team headed by the Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of Special Investigation and Intelligence Department would handle the matter.

I promise to make our findings public at the conclusion of the case,” Ali reiterated in a statement he sent out to newsmen on the incident.
The incident came barely few weeks after the Inspector General of Police, Solomon Arase, warned officers of the state police command inhuman and unprovoked assaults on innocent civilians.

Hilarious!! How my aunty made me drink her Breast Milk

Yesterday evening, I visited my aunt who is nursing a baby at Akute, Lagos. I felt like having a cup of milk, I went to the fridge and found out that her tin of milk was empty. I asked her if she had any more available, then she pointed to a cup on her dining table and told me she had some in it. She told me I could add some Bournvita if I wish. So I added the bournvita to the milk on her table. I gulped it down then noticed the taste was different.

I told her about the different taste, and then my aunt burst into a big laughter. She told me it was her breast milk she pressed into the cup shortly before I arrived at her place. She said that it was breast milk i just mixed with the bournvita. I know my aunt is always up to all sorts of jokes and mischief, but this wasn't funny to me at all.

I feel something wasn't just right about her action. I feel like reporting her to my mum but I also don't know what her reaction might be and at the same time I hope I'm not over reacting. Is my aunt's action wrong or just a joke I should ignore? Pls advise me, but I cringe each time I remember... I am 18 years old.
