BSBDA and PMJDY Account Opening at KHIDMAT CENTRES

Business Correspondent’s engaged by J&K Bank have been instrumental in mobilizing for BASIC SAVINGS BANK DEPOSIT ACCOUNT (BSBDA) and PRADHAN MANTRI JAN DHAN YOJANA (PMJDY) accounts to help achieve the objective of Financial Inclusion.

Recently, revised guidelines have been circulated by RBI wherein Banks have been instructed to segregate PMJDY accounts into KYC Compliant and NON KYC compliant PMJDY accounts.

Accordingly fresh GL Head’s 04021 KYC COMPLIANT PMJDY BSBD Account & 04022 NON KYC Compliant PMJDY Small Account have been incorporated in Financial Inclusion (FI) solution for mobilization as per fresh guidelines.

Henceforth, Financial Inclusion (FI) solution would allow customers to open accounts in following Schemes:

BSBD Account- 04015 (KYC COMPLIANT)PMJDY

BSBD Account- 04021 (KYC COMPLIANT)PMJDY

Small Account- 04022 (KYC NON COMPLIANT)

Note:
(The Basic Savings Bank Deposit Account (BSBDA ) is a Savings Bank Account that does not have a smallest amount balance. In compare, a BSBDA has a utmost account balance that has to be upheld in it. The bank permits a definite number of credits and withdrawals in the month free of cost. Small accounts are very alike to BSBDA as there is no KYC required for such accounts only with the help of identifier one can open the account. Balance in this Account at any point should not exceed Rs 50000/- and all credits should not surpass Rs 1 Lakh in a financial year.)

In the Month of March (A dark face of Private Educational Institutions)

Getting good and quality education is the basic right of every citizen. It is only through quality of education an individual can become a useful citizen of the society and a successful person in life. Therefore, before choosing a school for children, it is the parent’s first responsibility to take a close look at how well the school is providing education for children's all-round development.

IN THE MONTH OF MARCH, the children studying in schools get the fruits of their long labor done throughout the year. Children and their parents eagerly await for annual day as all government and private educational institutions announce their year end results and cerebrates the annual day event.

On annual day, the children arrive at school with their parents wearing costly colorful costumes. In the event children perform and wins the hearts of audience by presenting various dances. In the end a prize distribution ceremony begins wherein children who gets prominent positions seems happy. Their high performances are compared with the weak and incompetent children, and for participating in the event the parents get a VIP status in the eyes of the school’s administration.

The real audition of parents begins after that, when the administration of private educational institute hands over a list of new syllabuses to them. They direct the parents to purchase multiple new uniforms, books, notebooks, several sets of pens, pencils, color boxes, drawing sheets, charts etc. only from respective schools’ designated shops.

The Rs-30 or 40 notebooks found in general market are forcibly sold to parents at Rs-70 to 90, only by printing the school's logo, name and address on it, and so it is with the books and uniforms. Each private educational institute has its own curriculum, and the private school administration in agreement with their favorite book depot, and publisher, forces parents to buy books and uniforms only from certain stores in which each school's administration gets a handsome commission from them.

Just as a Doctor in hospitals insists on taking medicine of a specific company from a specific medical store and their prescriptions are not available in any other medical stores. In the same way, this mafia of private educational institutions, book depots, uniform sellers, and publishers gets millions of rupees, every year from the pockets of innocent parents, IN THE MONTH OF MARCH.

THE MONTH OF MARCH, not only brings a spring in nature, but it also brings a financial spring, for book sellers, uniform retailer, and for private educational institute owners. Collectively, they rob the inflation-ridden parents' pockets, in a very polite way.

I remember very well, there was a time when our school bags weighted less. Children were insisted by the teacher to write on slate and on wooden plank instead of notebooks. At that time, the children were educated by sitting on jute sackcloth, stones, on the ground, or on sackcloth brought from home. As a result, the same children today are seen on the top administrative positions.

The question arises that the children who gets education from government schools by wearing khaki dresses, they even sit on jute sack, writes on board and slates and one day they even becomes administrative officer, then why we admits our children in private educational institutes.

Why we are ignoring a big fact that every year a large population of position-holder is emerging from government schools?

Why we do not want to pay our attention to the private education mafia who has made education completely commercial today and even the Government look helpless in front of them? We do not know which moon, we are going to conquer by spending on these colorful, expensive uniforms and books every year, in the name of education.

A big fact of these private educational institutions is that they only keep their eyes on robbing the parents. They charge thousands of rupees in shape of Admission fee, One time fee, Annual fee, Tuition fee, Transport fee, Lab fee, Smart lab fee, Computer fee, AC room fee, etc. They recruit less educated and untrained teaching staff at nominal wages and from them took a work of more than donkeys, and often hints of dismissal on demand for a salary increase. How can we imagine a better and quality education form them?

It is impossible to imagine a school without a playground. Because if a child does not get physical education along with general education at an early age, it has a bad effect on his physical and mental constitution. Most of the private educational institutions in India go beyond all these factors.

We cannot deny that even in all circumstances, there are some good private educational institutions, that are offering low-fee education as service and worship, but the number of such institutions is like salt in flour.

The real fact is that the majority of private educational institutions today are making a fortune with both hands, by making education a business. They are only interested in collecting money and the future of the nation and the next generation will go to hell by them.

The parents have to think a lot before falling into the clutches of the white-collar criminals who rob the pockets of the parents every year IN THE MONTH OF MARCH.

Advisory for Private Schools and Parents of School going Children dated 19/05/2020

Government of Jammu and Kashmir, Directorate of School Education Jammu has issued an advisory for private schools and parents of school going children

Due to COVID-19 outbreak, the Jammu and Kashmir administration have ordered to close the educational institutions till May 31^st. All educational institutions have promoted junior school students to the next classes based on their past performance. On administration's directions all educational institutions in the UT are running distance classes via whatsapp/video lectures/google classroom etc. in lock down.

Usually the admission process starts in April, but due to the closure of institutions it didn't. Now most of the private educational institutions in the UT are now sending the annual fee structure to parents.

The private educational institutions are demanding fee from parents for lock down period. They are now making calls to the parents to deposit full fee (annual Fee + Fee of first Quarter i.e., April to June 2020 from institution designated banks.

The demand of full fee deposit for lock down period is a new concept for parents, but the increase in annual fees structure by private educational institutions is not new. Every year the private educational institutions’ management adds new headers and increases the fee structure such as - Onetime fee, Annual Fee, Transport Fee, Computer Lab Fee, Smart Lab Fee etc.

The fee structure of private educational institutions is so high that it is becomes difficult for common people to educate their children in private educational institutions. Common people are compromising their household budgets to provide a good education to their children. They fail to understand the reason behind the undue annual fees charged by private educational institutions and inappropriate hike in fee.

Many worried parents complained that the fee structure offered to them by private educational institutions is unbearable. Parents want to protest on the streets, but are unable to do so due to the COVID-19 lock down.

In 2019, parents, whose children were studying in private educational institutions, protested against the annual increase in fees. The parents alleged that the students were forced to buy stationery, books and uniforms, fancy dress for Annual Day, Republic Day, Independence Day, etc from vendors allegedly appointed by the school administration.

Taking a strict note, the administration of the of Jammu and Kashmir, Directorate of School Education Jammu has issued an advisory for private educational institutions and parents of school going children. In the advisory, the private educational institutes are directed to charge only Tuition Fee for the COVID-19 lock down period.

The protest of J&K Khidmat Centres Association here today entered day 70 demanding formulation of job policy.

In a handout the Association leader Tehseen Hussain said though they are aware of the recent announcement by MoS PMO wherein it was stated that the Government has formulated a plan to address the issue of Khidmat Centre employees, yet, they are not aware of the terms and conditions of that policy.

Hussain also appealed to the MoS PMO, Dr. Jitendra Singh and Lieutenant Governor (LG) of J&K, G.C Murmu to take the Association on board in finalizing the terms of that policy so that they may not suffer any more.

JAMMU: Members of J&K Khidmat Centres Association here staged a protest demonstration demanding their absorption in J&K Bank as regular employees. Addressing the protesters, the Association leader Tehseen Hussain said, in the year 2009 Khidmat Centres were started by J&K Bank with the assurances that these centres will become the centres of participation for the public.

He claimed that initially J&K Bank had promised to route G2C (Government to Customer), B2C (Business to Customer) and B2B (Business to Business) services through Khidmat Centres but the same never happened. The protesters said that continuous exploitation and overlooking for almost a decade has compelled the professionals with Khidmat Centres to demand permanent solution for their miseries. They also said that this negligence has put career of many well educated youth at risk so the J&K Bank should engage those associated with these Centres as employees in the Bank. A handout of the Association claimed that in a meeting with the then Chairman of J&K Bank on May 13, last year positive signals were given to the demand of employment in the Bank for those associated with Khidmat centres.

Members of the J&K Khidmat Centres Association (JKKCA) staged a protest here on Wednesday demanding formulation of a job policy. “For the past 73 days, we have been protesting in Jammu and demanding formulation of a job policy. Due to security concerns, we are not allowed to protest here (in Srinagar) and have been protesting in Jammu. We have been given many assurances but we need a concrete document,” said JKKCA member Ali Mohammad during a protest at Press Enclave.A press statement of the JKKCA said they had not earned anything for the past seven months and appealed to the administration to officially announce the formulation of a job policy.

Kids success is the real measure of one’s success

The most beautiful part of life is the one’s childhood. Kids are like flowers. They are tender and a lot of care and attention is required from parental end with great concern and responsibility.

If parents want to see how much successful they are in their lives, they can only do so by looking at their Kids achievement. If Kids are socially, morally, ethically, physically, mentally, and spiritually good, that is the success of parents. Thus, Kids are the real measure of one’s success or failure in life.

The healthy home environment

The home environment is one of the most important factor that has a profound effect on a child's life. From the earliest moments of a child's life, a child depends on his parents to meet his every need. Parents are the first teachers and they play a role of role model for them. Most Kids are fortunate to have the desired home environment full of love and affection from their parents.

However, if the relationship between the parents is strained for any reason, then the child suffers the most. Usually when a child is born, parents put all their activities aside and their first priority is their child. The mutual love and affection of the parents care and protection is the guarantee of the child's prosperity.

Kids imitate style of their parents

Kids do not need blackboards, notes, flip charts, or multimedia to teach ethics in life. Kids learn from the people around them. They are greatly influenced by the style of their parents. Parent’s good habits, sensibility in saying and actions, morality and ethical approach to life have a lasting effect on their Kids’ minds. So in order to teach values to your kids, parents must model them in their life, first. Parents have to be decently good enough so that their kids have a better start in life. Parents have to practice what they have to preach, what values they want to inculcate in their kids.

Inculcating the values in kids life

Human childhood consists of various stages like infancy, kindergarten, primary education and so on. At each stage, Kids need to be cared for and elevated differently. During infancy, it is important to protect your Kids from infectious diseases and to get them vaccinated regularly. At around 15 months, kids begin to grasp that there are certain social accepted graces. Set the stage now by being polite yourself and helping your child to think about other people's feelings.

In view of that, parents should teach their Kids good manners, etiquette, and valuable literature by creating a better environment in their homes.

The moral duties of parents

It is the moral duty of parents to pound good manners in their kids. Good manners are simply the oils, which lubricates the resistance of interpersonal relations and creates a happy and successful society. Good manners are vital for considering the feelings of other people and being a kind of person that others will like and respect. Good manners demonstrate the best you have to present and encourage others to be their best. Helping your kids in practicing etiquette on each day makes their life more and more pleasant.

When kids are able to join the school, they must be equipped with the essential conventional rules of personal behavior in civil society, with basic principles, etiquette, ethics, and having good attitude towards others. To have good manners, kids must have trained enough at home how to address people politely. They must have learned the words with phrases to communicate their needs.

Parents have to be patient, as kids need time to understand how to have good manners. Slowly and gradually, kids will observe and learn the good manners and will begin to have good manners too. Parents have to set them up for success. Young Kids behave well when they are rested and comfortable. Always give positive reinforcement to your kids. They must be encourage and praise for their good behavior.

Kids Upbringing and digital age

We live in an age of technology, and technology has become so entrenched in every aspect of life, including the upbringing of Kids. Thus, the responsibilities of raising a child for parents have increased many times over.

Parents should make every effort to create a religious and spiritual atmosphere in their homes. They should refrain from swearing, fighting, and lying. Parents should be very careful when deciding which toy to give their Kids to play with.

Many Kids remain playing with toy guns or weapons. Kids should not be given such toys as they promote aggressive mentality and war rage in them. It is also acknowledged that Kids who play with toy guns are more likely to have a lack of patience. Likewise, they should refrain from watching cartoon or videos that engross scenes of violence and bloodshed. Kids should be allowed to use parental supervised social media with great precautions.

The age of behavioral change

As the child reaches adolescence, the responsibilities of the parents change. At this stage, the child makes friends at school, in the neighborhood and in the community. Parents should become friends with their Kids at this age and guide them in the right path. Additionally, practice basic courtesy, like holding the door open for others, or giving up your seat on public transportation to someone who is elderly or struggling to stand up.

Parents can encourage their Kids to help with household chores and to pray regularly. Parents need to know what kind of peer their child is sitting in and keep an eye on their child's daily activities. In view of the increasing incidence of violence against Kids in our society, it is important that Kids should be made aware of this danger with great care.

It is not possible for your child to be happy all the time. Parents have to accept all the emotions of their kids so that the kids do not become more frustrated when they are sad or angry. Parent’s dealings with their Kids become part of their personality. If you think there is something wrong with your child's behavior, remember that every type of behavior has a way of handling. Kids want to tell you something with this kind of behavior and that's the best way they can say it. So you should try to find the real meaning of such behavior and then help them so that they can express what they are feeling without any hesitation. We must accept all their feelings, if they do not seem right.

We must teach Kids to express their feelings and not worry about what we would do if we were in their place. Remember, your child is not an exercise that you should deal with quickly, nor he is a project you can complete in the best way. Your child is a human being with unique identities and capabilities.

All information about Prime Minister Kissan Samman Nidhi Yojana (PM Kissan)

Objective:

Pradhan Mantri Kissan Samman Nidhi Yojana (PM Kissan) is a new Central Sector Scheme with hundred percent funding from Govt. of India with a view to boost the revenue of the Small and Marginal Farmers.

Commence:

This Scheme is effective from 1st Dec. 2018. This scheme aspires to fulfill the financial needs of the Small and Marginal Farmers.

Venture:

This Scheme aims to facilitate the farmers in acquiring different inputs to make sure of a good crop healthiness and fair unsurprising farm income at the end of the each crop succession and also to protect Small and Marginal Farmers from falling into the clutches of moneylenders.

Benefit

Under this Scheme an income support of Rs. Six Thousand Per Year is provided to all farmer families across the country in three equal installments of Rs. Two Thousand each after every four months into the Aadhaar seeded bank accounts of entitled landholding families. The first payment under the scheme will be transferred to the entitled beneficiaries in the existing financial year itself. First Installment shall be transferred right away on recognition of the beneficiaries

Aadhaar

For availing benefits under the scheme, Aadhaar Card is compulsory. However, in cases, where the beneficiaries at present are not having Aadhaar or Aadhaar Enrollment number, interchange prescribed documents can be collected for identity verification and transfer of benefit to such farmer families for transfer of 1st installment. All such beneficiaries not having Aadhaar card shall have to enroll them for Aadhaar since transfer of subsequent installments will be done only on basis of Aadhaar seeded database.

Families

Description of family entitled for the Scheme is defined as a family comprising of a husband, wife and minor children who collectively own a cultivable land upto 2 hectare as per land records of the concerned State/UT. The entire responsibility of identification of beneficiary farmer families rests with the State / Union Territory Governments. The fund is directly transferred to the bank accounts of the beneficiaries.

Identification

The number of eligible families under the scheme has been estimated on the basis of projection of Agricultural Census 2015-16 data for 2018-19. The projected number of holding of SMFs landholder farmer families for FY 2018-19 is 13.15 Crore. Due to likely exclusion of certain categories of beneficiaries of higher economic strata, the total number of eligible beneficiaries has been taken as 12.50 Crore The existing land-ownership system will be used for identification of beneficiaries for calculation of financial benefit under the scheme.

Outline

The Scheme to be executed as Central Sector Scheme with 100% financial support by Government of India (GoI). For financial year 2018-19, a budget stipulation of Rs. 20,000 crore has been kept for disbursal of financial assistance to the eligible landholding SMFs families. Similarly, a budgetary provision of Rs. 75,000 crore has been kept in the financial year 2019-20 for disbursal of financial benefits to entitled landholding SMFs families.

Monitoring

For successful review and monitoring of the scheme, a Project Monitoring Unit at Central level will be set up in DAC & FW. The PMU headed by Chief Executive Officer, shall also undertake advertising movement (Information, Education and Communication). A stratified appraisal/monitoring method at National, State and District Level. At the National level, there will be a Monitoring Committee headed by Cabinet Secretary. State Govt. shall also notify the Monitoring Committees at the State & the District Level.

Forms

For enrollment, the farmer is required to approach the Local Patwari / Revenue Officer / Nodal Officer nominated by the State Government to get Nakal Khasra Gardawri and PM Kissan Application Form. The Khidmat Centres/Common Service Centres (CSCs) have also been authorized to do registration of the farmers for the Scheme upon payment of fees. Farmers can also do their self-registration through the Farmers Corner in the PM Kisan portal. Farmers can also edit their names in PM-Kisan database as per their Aadhaar database / card through the Farmers Corner in the portal. Farmers can also know the status of their payment through the Farmers Corner in the portal or can seek the help of Khidmat Centre.

Exclusion

Farmers covered under the Exclusion Criteria of the Operational Guidelines are not eligible for the benefit of the Scheme. There will be exclusion of certain categories of beneficiaries of higher economic level, which will be separately notified by the Government in due course. The categories of beneficiaries of higher economic status shall not be eligible for benefit under the scheme.

· All Institutional Land holders Farmer families in which one or more of its members belong to following categories

· Former and present holders of constitutional posts

· Former and present Ministers/ State Ministers and former/present Members of LokSabha/ RajyaSabha/ State Legislative Assemblies/ State Legislative Councils,

· Former and present Mayors of Municipal Corporations, former and present Chairpersons of District Panchayats.

· All serving or retired officers and employees of Central/ State Government Ministries /Offices/Departments and its field units.

· Central or State PSEs and Attached offices /Autonomous Institutions under Government as well as regular employees of the Local Bodies.

· Excluding Multi Tasking Staff /Class IV/Group D employees)All superannuated/retired pensioners whose monthly pension is Rs.10,000/-or more

· Excluding Multi Tasking Staff / Class IV/Group D employees) of above category.

· All Persons who paid Income Tax in last assessment year

· Professionals like Doctors, Engineers, Lawyers, Chartered Accountants, and Architects registered with Professional bodies and carrying out profession by undertaking practices.

The External Affairs Ministry (MEA), along with CSC e-Governance Services India Ltd. has launched Online Passport Services through a vast network of CSC (Khidmat Centres) across rural locality in India.

In India, there are number of Passport Offices, Passport Seva Kendras (PSKs) and about 180 Indian embassies and consulates located abroad.

The Passport issued to an Individual Residents of India is valid for a period of 10 years and for minor applicants, the validity is restricted to five years. Generally Passport in India is issued within 30 to 45 days under Normal Mode, while under the Tatkaal Mode, the passport is issued within 7-14 days.

The POI and POA documents for both Tatkaal and Normal Mode are same. The Police Verification is carried out after the passport appointment both in Normal and Tatkaal Mode.

The Govt. Employees needs to get Prior Intimation Letter and NOC from the controlling authority (DDO) before applying for the passport in order to speed up the whole application process.

The rest of the process is generally alike to the process followed by ordinary individual. After applying for a passport, an individual is required to visit the Passport Seva Kandra (PSK) on the date of appointment to finish the last part of the application process.

Final verification and approval of the passport application takes place at Passport Seva Kendra. There are a few cases where police verification is not required.

As we all know, The Novel Corona Virus (COVID-19) that started in China in Dec. 2019 has now spread across the globe affecting 218 countries and territories. As of now, even the world’s best health facilitated countries struggle to control and limit the spread of the COVID-19 Pandemic.

Now, almost all businesses are closed. Entire world is under the Lock Down. Even the social and religious events canceled. The physical distancing is now becoming a new trend. The closure of schools, offices and workplaces are particularly challenging, as it affect what we love to do, where we want to go, and whom we want to get together. The freedom of movement is severely limited; the problem has worsened, particularly for older folks with limited social life.

In recent time, all sorts of activities and businesses of each region and section are facing such an impressive disturbance that their survival is on trails. Besides global humanitarian and political crisis, the world is near to face economic crisis also on a grand scale. People have no idea how long their work will remain suspended. We all are now at a point wherein everybody needs to come jointly for the good of all human beings.

Fear combined with an uncertain future is normal in one’s life. PM KISAN

Financial Aid

10. Workers in the Organized Sector

EPF Contributions

Q. What is the benefit?

The Government will pay for both the employer and employee contribution to EPF

accounts (total 24%) for the next three months (April-June 2020).

Employees' Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) subscribers from establishments with:

(i) up to 100 employees, and (ii) 90% employees earning less than Rs 15,000 per month.

EPF Advance

EPF holders are allowed to take a non-refundable advance, which can be up to:

(a) 75 % of their EPF balance OR (b) three months of wages,
