Hi Y'all!! I haven't been able to keep up with blogging lately.... I have finals and I always wait till the last minute so since I don't have time to do a review or do a proper post I figure I do some Quickies, in the style of Ms.Nu Nu Dolly!!!

1. I want to e-mail my professor and tell him that my dear sweet Aunt Sally died in a freak pineapple harvesting accident and I need some more time to finish my assignments because I have to care for her and her 9 cats.....

2. This is the 1st year since I was a kid that I'm actually looking forward to Christmas.

3. I'll be HOME for Christmas!!! I can't wait to see my MOMMY and Dad!!!! I'm sure it's been so boring and quiet in the house since I moved! I need to go shake things up and make some NOISE!!! I'll be home from the Tues. 22nd ~ Tues. 29th...

4. I won't have a car between the 22nd ~ 29th >_<

5. When I run into people back home. I'm gonna show off my "southern accent" and then give them the side eye when they look at me like "you've been down there since October... Why do you have an accent?" I'm gonna say "plug it up" instead of "plug it in".. Instead of car "accident" I'm gonna say "wreak"! "Mash the button" instead of "push the button". Shopping cart?? I don't think so!!! It's a buggy!!!! Everytime I dine out I will ask for "sweet tea".

6. Soon as I get home. I'm gonna have a BAGEL!!! Slice of PIZZA & drink Pepsi in the open!!!!

7. I hate flying! Especially alone!! I'm gonna have to drug myself into a semi conscience state... When I go to the airport EVERYONE looks like a terrorist to me....

8. I found Helly Kitty Ribbon, a light up stamper & Hello Kitty Playing cards in the dollar section at TARGET the other night!!! SCORE!

9. If I finish the assignment that I'm working on now by 10pm, I get to go to SEPHORA!!!! I have to use the rewards & punishments method on myself when it comes to school!

10. I'm going to partayyyyy alllllll weekend!!!!

Hi Y'all!
Here's a review of some of my favorites (Hits) & Fails for 2009. Sorry that I haven't been updating as frequently lately... It's almost the end of the semester and I've been in a weird mood lately.

Depotting MAC Eyeshadows into Palettes (Hit)

Depotting My Mac Palettes!!! Now I don't have to look through my bin of MAC Shadows! They are all at home in their palettes. I also have an empty palette that I use for travel and I just pop in my favorite 15 colors! Pan refills are cheaper! $11.50 for e/s pans instead of $14 for the regular e/s.

CeraVe Moisturizing Cream (Hit)

I have dry skin in the winter and this stuff WORKS. It's about $15 for a 16oz tub. I tried to cheap out and bought a tub of "generic" Cetaphil... It's ok, but I'm almost out and I will be getting CeraVe again.

Primers (Hit & FAIL)

I love me some UDPP!!! But I'm so over the packaging!!! I don't have time to chop it open and scoop out the left over! I didn't pay all that money to perfrom surgical procedures on some damn primers!

So unfortunately UDPP is a FAIL..... I know they changed the wand, but..... I need to hear a lot more reviews about the new wand..... I do ♥ UDPP!

(I can stretch my installs for about 3 months, b/c I know my natural hair well. I DO NOT recommend that newbies leave an install in for that length of time.)

I so happy that I choose Wagman's as my 'new' vendor. They have a great reputation! I used the same extensions for my December install!!!! I'm hoping to get two more installs out of this hair and then stash it and revive at a later time. I didn't do a post on the December install, because it looks exactly the same with a few more layers. I was referred to a local stylist/weavoligist in Atlanta, Ms. Unique Monique!! Mascara Hits & Misses

Cover Girl Lash Blast..... It's alright.... If I do buy it again I wouldn't get the one that has the shimmer crap in it.... I like JET BLACK mascara and whatever they put in it to make it shimmer makes kinda suck...It almost looks matte or dull when dry..

L'oreal's Telescopic Explosion..... Didn't change my life...It's not great and it's not bad..... It's quite clumpy, in my opinion. The ball thing on the applicator is cool for getting the inner corners and every lash but I find I have to wipe some product off before applying. What's really weird is I love mixing the Lash Blast with the Telescopic...

Bare Escentual's Buxom Mascara ($18) is the business!!! I barely reach for my other mascaras. I have like non-existant lower lashes and I can catch them with the wand.

Thanksgiving Weekend

Happy Thanksgiving Weekend Y'all!!! I kinda skipped Thanksgiving this year.... I felt like if I couldn't be with my Momma & Dad then, I was just gonna do whatever I wanted..... My cousin who I live with went to dinner with her side of the family and to be honest I didn't just feel like going.... So I napped and chilled did schoolwork and read my book. Loose Girl: A Memoir of Promiscuity by Kerry Cohen. (Review coming soon as I finish on Beauty's Bookshelf. Which y'all should check out. We cute, we play with makeup & WE READ!!!!)
I changed my mind and decided hat I did want to go out to dinner so I did a local Google search to see what was open on Thanksgiving that wasn't fast food or required a reservation. I picked the Cracker Barrel, lol!!!!

Grabbed my book and enjoyed a full meal for $7.99!!! I got the Thanksgiving Special ~ Turkey (duh), Ham, Stuffing/Dressing, 2 sides of your choice mac & cheese & steak fries =), a drink and Pumpkin Pie for dessert, and the corn bread and biscuit basket that they always have. I still have left overs =). My mom felt bad that I did that but we always eat out on Thanksgiving anyways and she always instilled in me to "love my own company" & "entertain myself" and I'm comfortable doing at this point in my life. My Aunt Jean always says "One Monkey Don't Stop No Show"! It's so true. I'm thankful that I have the courage to eat out alone or go see a movie by myself. I think every women should be able to enjoy her own company! Grab a glossy magazine or a good book and do you! I just need something to read not as "armor", but to occupy myself. I love myself but I'm not that damn interesting!

I also didn't stress Thanksgiving Day because I knew the REAL PARTY was Thanksgiving night!!! I got to meet up with Ms.Bombchell ATL- Atlanta's Sexist Geek! My cousin Monica & our roommate Malaika and we went to Opera Nightclub for an event being hosted by Rashard Lewis & some members Orlando Magic. (They beat the Falcons that night so I thought they'd be in a good mood and "buy the bar", but no, lol....
I'm so happy that I Googled the event and printed out passes! The standard $20 cover fee down here is starting to irritate my broke behind.

CLUB SPY CAM *FAIL*

OPPS...I forgot that I was taking video in the dark!!! It looked ok when I was recording...

I'm soooo upset that I didn't take any pics with Michelle :( Or any pics! :( Just stupid dark video...

I'm starting to feel more comfortable down here, which is makes me happy. I feel like I made the right decision. I have my moments when I wanna pack up and go home, then I think about the 15+ hour drive and deal with it.

I can't wait for Christmas! This is the first year that I'm excited b/c I'm going to go home for a week!!! I have to run. Tonight is the Thanksgiving Weekend Finale at the Velvet Room....

Birdman & Lil' Wayne kinda make me throw up in my mouth a bit.......

I wouldn't mind getting a peek at Drake! I need to keep my broke behind at home.... I'm kinda sick too.. Maybe the alcohol will kill the germs?

Goin' to the Dollar Store & Blue FOTN

Hi y'all!!! So Ms. Katrina put me on to a little place called Dollar General, lol! She's always posting good finds. Where I used to live the Dollar Stores are really crappy and aren't worth going into. So I typed Dollar General into my GPS and went on my adventure!!

Holla!!! All this only cost me $5!

E.L.F. Brushes!! I love E.L.F. Brushes!!!! They are super soft. Put up with my abuse and they don't shed.

I already have other versions/brands of these brushes but, it's always good to have a few choices, backups etc...

L.A.Colors ~ Shimmering Loose Eyeshadow w/ brush

The brush is useless & craptastic!!

It's kinda a pain because the pigment is like trapped in the bottom, which makes it 'knock over proof'.. I think the best way to use it is to pour some of the pigment on the back of your hand or a paper plate or something.

I was trying to do a "Peace Up... A-Town Down" pose but it wasn't working... The "to go juice hit me"...

After all of that! We didn't go anywhere! M & M weren't didn't finish getting ready until like after 1am.... We had an incident regarding the Geogia's Move Over Law. My poor cousin got a $500 ticket!!! I don't know what happened b/c I was to busy in the back seat taking pics of myself and sipping on my "to go juice" & messing with my Blackberry... We didn't get to Downtown ATL until like after 1:30am... The first club we went to looked dead inside (forgot name) so we didn't go in. Club #2 (forgot name) looked dead.... Club #3 (Miami) M&M argued about going in... By that time is was like after 3am.... I was losing my buzz.....I didn't make enough "to go juice" Abor Mist Wine mixed with Bacardi Dragonfruit Strawberry Rum (it's really good!).... So we drove back home and hit the drive through at Checkers..... I forgot how good Checkers was. I haven't had it since I lived on Long Island............

Here's more info on the GA Move Over Law..... I'm posting this for Melissa & Jennifer! My Northeast babes who are moving to ATL shortly! It's kinda obvious to move over when you see the po-po doing their business on the side of the road, but here it's a law! It's a $500.00 law. In some states the fine is NO LESS THAN $1,000!!!

GEORGIA'S MOVE OVER LAW SAVES LIVES

Georgia’s new Move-Over Law says drivers must move-over for emergency vehicles stopped on the side of the highway. The law is meant to keep officers AND traffic violators safe from crashes with passing cars.

The Move-Over Law was passed in the aftermath of growing numbers of police, emergency technicians and DOT workers being killed during routine traffic stops, crash responses and highway construction projects around the nation. Right now, more than thirty states have Move-Over Laws on the books, with fines that range as high as a thousand dollars or more in some jurisdictions. The Move-Over fine in Georgia is an “attention-getting” five-hundred-dollars.

However, failure to obey the Move-Over Law can lead to consequences far more serious than fines. According to FBI statistics, traffic crashes claim the lives of more police personnel than any other cause of death in the line of duty, including shootings. The FBI says last year, forty-nine officers died in crashes across the country. Thirteen of those law enforcement officers were struck and killed by passing vehicles while they worked outside their patrol cars.

“Georgia’s Move-Over Law was meant to reduce the number of injuries and fatalities to police officers, paramedics, firefighters, tow truck operators and highway maintenance workers,” said Director Bob Dallas of the Governor’s Office of Highway Safety. Reports show emergency vehicles of all types have been struck while parked beside Georgia highways, even while their emergency lights were flashing.

The Georgia Move-Over Law requires drivers to move-over one lane when possible if an emergency vehicle with flashing lights is parked on the shoulder of the highway. And if traffic is too heavy to move-over safely, the law requires drivers to slow down below the posted speed limit instead AND to be prepared to stop.

Move-Over-Law: Georgia Code, Title 40-6-16.

The operator of a motor vehicle approaching a stationary authorized emergency vehicle that is displaying flashing yellow, amber, white, red, or blue lights shall approach the authorized emergency vehicle with due caution and shall, absent any other direction by a peace officer, proceed as follows:

1. Make a lane change into a lane not adjacent to the authorized emergency vehicle if possible in the existing safety and traffic conditions; or If a lane change under paragraph (1) of this subsection would be impossible, prohibited by law, or unsafe, reduce the speed of the motor vehicle to a reasonable and proper speed for the existing road and traffic conditions, which speed shall be less than the posted speed limit, and be prepared to stop.
b. The operator of a motor vehicle approaching a stationary towing or recovery vehicle or a stationary highway maintenance vehicle that is displaying flashing yellow, amber, or red lights shall approach the vehicle with due caution and shall, absent any other direction by a peace officer, proceed as follows:
1. Make a lane change into a lane not adjacent to the towing, recovery, or highway maintenance vehicle if possible in the existing safety and traffic conditions; or
2. If a lane change under paragraph (1) of this subsection would be impossible, prohibited by law, or unsafe, reduce the speed of the motor vehicle to a reasonable and proper speed for the existing road and traffic conditions, which speed shall be less than the posted speed limit, and be prepared to stop.

cViolation of subsection (a) or (b) of this Code section shall be punished by a fine of not more than $500.00 .

Just A Girl......

This is a big deal to me, because I'm such a hobby whore... My first post started out like this.... "So I'm blogging now... Let's see if I can commit to it or will it be like the clarinet, the latch hook artwork, knitting, crocheting and dozens of other projects that I start and don't follow through with..... Ha ha! I guess it's about finding your niche. I've finally found mine. I'm not a weirdo girl who likes to play with makeup!! There's more of me out there!!! It's ok to take pics of food & call it porn!!!!!

I made soooo many wonderful friends through blogging! Friends that have been there with me over the last year to shop, talk makeup, BlogTV, Twitter, AIM, laugh & cry with!!!

I wonder what I'd be doing if I didn't start this blog?? I'd have a HELL of a lot more money! I'd have a minimal arsenal of makeup and beauty products. But I wouldn't have my friends that I made and I wouldn't trade that for anything.

Product Review: Remington Curl Envy

Hi Y'all!! Two product reviews in a row. From the girl with no money, lol! The temptation is KILLING me! All of the holiday sets are out and I WANT to HAUL.
Hot curlers have been on my mind for weeks... I don't know why. I feel like I spend so much time curling my hair everyday and I'm not about pink foam rollers at night... It's bad enough that I sleep with a satin scarf on my head! Like what if the house caught on fire? I need to run out, not take off my scarf and ditch the rollers. I WILL NOT be that lady standing outside with rollers in my hair.

It takes me about 20 minutes to curl my hair with my beloved curling iron. I wanted to try hot curlers so I can set my hair and then do my makeup then take them down. Mutlitask!!!

I got the Remington Curl Envy Set from WalMart. I'm sorry I live in the south now I mean "the SUPER WALMART". I went to WalMart last night after I went out to get some "pink stuff" b/c my tummy bothering me, and the tummy stuff is near the hair stuff. So I just got the damn thing! I've been eying it and was tired of playing games! So I snatched it! $21.99 holla in my broke a$$ budget.

My hair came out really nice!!! It was like 5am and I went to sleep, lol! But I'm going to give this thing another chance b/c I liked the final result and maybe once I get the hang if it and learn to set my hair faster

I'll like it better. I'm also going to to Beauty Supply Store to see if I can buy generic clips b/c I HATE the clips the set came with.

I give the Remington Curl Envy 3.5 /5 ♥♥♥♥ <- I don't know how to make a half of heart!

Product Review: Get Gorgeous 60pc Blockbuster Cosmetic Kit & FOTDs

Hi Y'all! I was in Ulta the other day looking for a hot curler set, and I saw the Get Gorgeous Blockbuster Kit on sale for $19.99. It's regularly $24.99. So I bought it! Don't laugh at me. I just moved and I'm broke so the $5 discount made the deal for me. I didn't have an Ulta near me in CT so the store is 'new' to me. I also haven't really tried much of the Ulta branded makeup so I figured why not. I own 1 Ulta quad and I like it, so I figured why not. For $20 I got: 32 eyeshadows, 12 lip colors, 6 cheek colors, 4 full size lipsticks, 2 mini lipglosses, 2 pot glosses, 2 shimmer powders, 2 eye shadow quads, 2 concealers, 2 dual ended liners, 2 brushes, train case with mirror and applicators. Not a bad deal....

I love the fact that it comes with 2 eyeshadow quads & 4 full size lippies & the 2 glosses b/c you can take them out and keep them in your purse for touch ups.

I don't like the 'covers' over the eyeshadows and blushes.... It's like thin plasic casing which I see getting broken and I want to keep them covered from dust, germs, etc...

Bottom Line...

I give it 5/5 ♥ ♥♥♥♥♥

Overall I it's totally worth the price. Even if the powder products don't compliment your skintone or aren't to your liking. The traincase is cute and sturdy since everything comes out you can use it for traveling. The shadows are pretty pigmented. I was pleasantly surprised.

The color combos can keep you occupied forever! If your a beauty blogger it will keep you busy for about a week :)

Since I haven't had much exposure to Ulta or their own line of products it was a great way to test them. Sephora also has their own version which is $48 which it's a little out of my budget at the moment so I'm glad I found Ulta's version for less. Hopefully I'll find a job down here soon and I'll have real money again.

I must go and catch up on my school work.... I had an incident last night involving a dangerous knocked up spider. So this a$$hole spider crawls across the couch and onto the floor. I scream and get ready to attack. It crawled into the hole of the barrel of my curling iron.... So I take a cloth thingy to block the hole of barrel.... Then just sat there full of fear for about 20mins......

Then I decided it was time for action...... So I got my mini vac and dumped him and sucked that sucker up!!!!

So I did what any sensible person would of done.... Tweeted and called people for help!!!!! Since nobody could come help me, I ran down the street with the mini vac, took out the filter and ran back home. Then @XTIIINA reminded later that I should go get my vacumm before somebody jacked it....
So this was my 3rd southern bug sighting, and I had enough, I was on Expedia looking for the next flight out (I live right by the airport). I found a 1:15 non-stop to JFK.. Then my savior cousin Krissy called and calmed me down and I missed the flight........

I swear it was a brown recluse.........

I don't deal with bugs that have their own websites!

Brown Recluse Spiders can survive six months without food or water, hidden in their lairs during daytime and roaming at night. <--- That's soooo messed up!

Hey Y'all!!!! Hope everybody had a good Halloween!! Mine was ok... I just wore my regular clothes and said that I was a "New Yorker"... A friend of mine came up or actually over from Nashville and we met up with some of his friends and went to dinner at a restuarant in Atlantic Station called Copeland's Cheesecake Bistro, which was actually really good. I guess it's kinda 'cajun' themed, and I was having a hard time with the menu, lol Asking questions like "What's a Po-boy?", "Do crawfish taste like shrimp?". "What's the deal with sweet tea"?
I kept it Northern style and had the ~ Italian sausage sauteed with chicken & shrimp, tossed with penne pasta in a tomato basil cream sauce & topped with parmesan cheese. Except I had alfredo sauce FATTY ALERT! I don't have any food porn to share b/c I was with a whole group of people who I didn't know and felt shy about busting out my camera to take food porn even though I really wanted to! The food was really good, and the atmosphere was great! So here's some stolen porn from there menu.

After dinner we made a stop to pick up some drinks and decide where to go. My cousin gave us a few suggestions and since it was getting late we decided to go to club LIFE........ Oh I don't think I'm Atlanta "we be clubbin" kinda girl... I'm too old or something...

#1 I don't wait on lines to get in clubs.... I need to get my contacts right down here or stay my behind at home.

#2 I don't pay a $20 cover charge to roll into a club!!!! Do you know much many drinks equal $20!!!

#3 Well at Club LIFE $20 = 2 drinks, not cool for the unemployed!!! Thankfully, I was smart enough to pre-game a bit before we went out, but waiting outside on the damn line made me lose my buzz....

#4 PEOPLE please don't smoke weed in the club!!! I'm job hunting and if I have to pee in a cup to get a job I don't want my results skewed because LaQusisha & Deroy were smoking out the entire club.

A lot of people had on costumes and a lot of girls had on "outfits" that looked like they should be costumes. My spy pics didn't come out to goos and I'm not in any of them....

Spending Time with the Familia

Hi Y'all!!! I got to spend some quality time with la familia over the past two days in Columbus, GA which is about 1hr 20mins from ATL. On Tues. I drove down or over to my cousin Krissy's house and we went to the Columbus Mall so she could get glammed up for the formal dinner that she and her husband were going to. I took charge of the kids so she could relax.
I so want to get my brows threaded!!! It looks so much cleaner then waxing.

Damia was about to beat down the eyebrow threading lady, lol! She's 3 and when she sees someone close to her momma she gets upset so I couldn't film the whole thing so I could keep my eye on Damia.

Krissy also got her eyelashes done and they came out beautiful. I've never really messed with individual lashes but I really loved the way they came out so learning how to apply them is next on my list! I went to the beauty supply store and got some individuals and glue. It's a tedious process. I tried the other night and I only did one. Not one eye. I only applied one individual lash, then got ADD.

After the mall, we went back to the house and Krissy got dressed and I did her makeup. I'm a retard and didn't take any pictures so I stole from Krissy & posting them now.

While they were at the formal dinner. I was watching the adorable kiddies.......I turned Damia into a Beauty Queen, lol I painted her little toes pink with sparkles....

Real Post, No Word Vomit! Triple Product Review

Hi y'all!!! My broke behind has a product review!! I really had no business in Sephora.... I'm in a new city and to be 'safe' I had to check out the malls. So far my favorite mall is the Perimeter Mall, which is about 20mins from where I'm staying. Besides I needed to go meet the girls at Sephora and see if they are stalkerish like the ones in CT...... I walked in with two swatches on my hand...

I swatched them at Ulta that I happened to find on my way and I wanted to compare them to the MUFE liquid liner. When it comes to black liquid liner I a bold black almost shiny-ish line. A lot people recommend Fluidline, which I already own but it doesn't really change my life....
I had a psycho pic of the 3 swatches in my phone b/c I tweeted them for opinions, but I must of deleted it. Out of the 3 MUFE won! Figures it was the most expensive *rolls eyes at empty wallet*... Just a tip, it goes on really wet! I wish the formula was a less runny, I'm not a fan of the brush b/c I like me line a little thicker, so I have to do it twice, but no big deal.

I was also searching for a new mascara. I wanted to step out of my comfort zone and step away from my HG Loreal Voluminous & Lash Blast.. Yeah, I mix mascaras! They all do different stuff!

I bought L'oreal Telescopic Explosion and it's alright, didn't change my life.. The wand ball does work for getting all up in your lashes but, I found that too much product gets on the ball wandy thing..... it's not a FAIL but not a win............

I let my cousin Monica borrow it and she feels the same and stole my new phrase 'it didn't change my life' but with a southern twang. So I was still on the prowl. While I was in Sephora I noticed the sales girl had, nice lashes and she said she uses Bare Ecentuals Buxom Lash Mascara. So I copied her and grabbed it. I really like it! It's black black and doesn't smudge or fade. I love it!!! I love the brush, the shape of the brush let's you get all up in your lashes. I can even get my non-existent bottom lashes with the wand!

My next project is to master individual lashes, I watched my cousin Krissy get them done, and I think if I study some YT tutorials I'll be able to get it down! I'm interested b/c people can wear them for up to 1 or 2 weeks if they don't use any oils around the eye.

I'm so sorry for being a bad blogger. I'm trying to keep up with everybody, but when moving, getting used to my new environment and keeping up with school, I'm a hott mess. I watched the kids, I love kids and babies and for some reason little kids love me, my mom calls me the baby whisperer. When I have kids my baby kid powers wont work and I'll have bad a$$ kids that will get chancletas en la cabeza!!!

More ATL Quickie Word Vomit......

Hi Y'all!!! I know that lately I've sucked at blogging! The days are just flying by! Being unemployed in a new city is a full time job.
I wake up, and do my hair and makeup (if I do my hair and makeup I don't crawl back into my bed). Make lunch. I'm trying so hard to eat in the house and stick to healthy food. There's so much fast food down here. There are places new to me like Chic-fil-A, Sonic, Mrs. Winners Chicken & Biscuits, Bojangles' *Famous Chicken 'n Biscuits. There are more but y'all get the point. My A$$ has expanded a bit >_< so I try to eat before I go out for the day, then eat dinner at home.
Then I go to Borders or Starbucks check my email fill out job applications read the AJC, and do school work until I need a break. Then I wander around Wal-Mart & Target and buy stuff (I left a lot at home) and I need "stuff" to to set up my room here. Plastic drawers are a gift from GOD!! Unfortunatley I was unable to bring mine from home so I had to get all new ones... I wander a lot, lol... I'm
Then I go back to Borders or Starbucks and do more school work and job hunting then I go home for the night and do the same thing... Sometimes I go to the movies since I've been here I've seen Couples Retreat, Good Hair, & Whip It.... It's all about entertaining yourself!
I'm a little homesick. I want to go home for like a weekend, NOT FOREVER, lol. I feel like my parents hide things from me....
I know this was another lame-ass quickie but I have to try really hard to go to bed early b/c I'm going to Columbus, GA to see my cousin Krissy, her daughter & her new baby and do her makeup for an event she has tomorrow. :)

Hi Y'all!!!! Miss me?? I've been crazy busy pretty much since the day my behind got here. Who knew that moving 800-ish miles would be so exhausting. This is a post is just some random thoughts, pics & word vomit!!!

1. I moved to Atlanta, GA! (duh)

2. I'm living with my cousin and her roommate in College Park or 'Colli Park', they give me a serious side-eye when I say 'College Park'. Actually they think I talk really 'weird'... Sometimes we don't understand each other, it's like the UN in there or thurr.... I should of took Southern as a second language instead of Spanish...

3. I met a pimp at the Quick Trip or QT, I politely told him I'm not interested in that line of work and if I was I'd be a freelance whore.

4. I get lost everywhere I go.... I think my GPS called me retarded......

5. It's in the mid 50's and it's like an emergency, in CT 50's now is a blessing! Now it's in the high 60's and supposed to be back in the low 70's. The emergency is over....

6. I'm trying to be more polite and saying 'thank you' all the time.

7. Sometimes I use my fake Scarlett O'Hara accent to blend in when I don't feel like talking.... Everybody down here talks to you..... For like 10mins.....

8. If one more chick or gay man touches my hair I'm gonna cut them! I thought this was like the weave capital? Please don't touch my Malaysian hair without asking......

9. I went to lunch with Ms. Jaimie she ordered cheese grits like Britney Spears.....

10. Grits are gross.... Even with cheese.....

11. I feel hella fat, I need to stay away from fried chicken or fried anything.........

12. So this is where all the black people are..... It's really weird being the majority. All my life I was the 'token'... Now I have to find something else to make me stand out, or find the white people.

13. The 'ethnic' hair care 'sections' are actual aisles, not a corner of a section.

14. They sell cheap weave hair in Walmart.... You can also go to Walmart and get your taxes done, eyes checked, hair did, nails & toes did, grab some McDonalds.........

15. I swear I saw real cotton on the roads on the drive down here. It made my happy that those days are over. I'm a NW50 which would make me a field slave..........

16. The man pickins at Starbucks and Borders are bountiful!!! I love a man in a coffee shop or bookstore....

Except the ex, he brought the new girlfriend and she wouldn't even look at me or say hello or come into the semi-private room where I was hosting my shin-dig!!! Then my ex was like "I gotta go, but I came", then I got all "well I left my medals at home to pass out to people to came for 3 minutes, get out"!!! Then I cried like a little kid, lol.... Then I got mad for crying and proceeded to let the bouncer and everyone know that I banned him from Maxwell's FOR LIFE!!!! :0) Can I ever have a drama free moment? If your new girlfriend doesn't like me because I exist DON'T BRING HER TO MY PARTY!!! DUH!!!! Seriously Ms. New Girlfriend, him & I are just friends and we share joint custody of the dog! If I wanted him would I be MOVING to ATLANTA?? She shoulda brought me a going away present!

It's time for Fall Hair!

Hi Y'all!!! I was ready for a little change so I got my hair did again!!! I also decided to use a "tried and true" hair vendor.
My last virgin hair purchase was from Indianhair.net and the hair didn't live up to it's expectations. I was really upset because I planned on using that hair for 2 or maybe 3 installs. So it's in my stash and I plan to try to give it some CPR and some experimentation so I can possibly re-use it again in the future.
So I finally got me some Wags aka Wagman Primus I also wanted to try Malaysian Hair my Stylist Anya aka Hairgirl203 recommended it. Right now Malaysian hair cost a little less than Indian hair since everybody and there mama is trying to get their hands on Virgin Indian Hair.

I can't even remember what I did for makeup in these pics. I was taking pics for Anya to put in her portfolio and I felt like I needed to put a little face on. I used some random sliver-ish & blue-ish color from the Coastal Scents 88 Shimmer Palette! Slapped on some mascara & painted on some MAC MSF and blush, then squeezed some gloss out and put it on my lips :)

Hi Y'all!! I've been meaning to do a post on these for a while. I was asked what's in my MAC Palettes and how I organized them. So far I own 5 palettes. I use four of them and one I keep empty for traveling so when I go somewhere I pop in my "Fav 15"....
I labeled the fronts and backs of the palettes with my DYMO Label Maker! (I'm an office supply junkie too)

I ordered the palettes during MAC SUMO sale a few months back, and I depotted using EnKore's no heat tutorial on YouTube. I tried using the heat method but it was kinda stinky and I live with my parents and I can't be all up in my room inhaling melted plastic... I'm not going to do a tutorial because there are like a million out there but here are some pics of the process... Let's just say that I haven't bought a MAC e/s in a pot since I did it! I'm only buying pans now. Not a fan of mass depotting.....

All the crap! Yes there's a Hello Kitty band-aid up in there...

The whole point is to get the glue off! 91% rubbing alcohol or higher and some Q-tips will do the trick!

Sorry for the craptastic pic! It's supposed to show how I salvaged the names of the stickers and stuck them to the magnets it's really hard to see because the label is tiny.

To label the palettes I used a YT MAC Palette Labeling Tutorial using Excel! Super easy! After I was done. I used my paper cutter (I can't cut paper in a straight line *fail* and stuck them on with double sided tape. If anyone would like my file shoot me an email and I'll give it to you & it's already formatted.

So those are my babies!!! It's so much easier with them in the palettes!!!!! I had a divider in my drawer and they were all in there looking a hott mess.

Hi Y'all!!! It's seriously fall here in CT :(.... Which means for me it's time to moisturize with a heavier body & face lotion. I've mentioned in the past that my Holy Grail moisturizer is Gold Bond Ultimate Healing Skin Therapy Lotion with Aloe mixed with a little bit of Creamy Baby Oil. I was running low and went to Wal-Mart to pick up some more and they didn't have any!! They probably did but they are renovating Wal-Mart here and they are moving everything around. It's crazy, I dropped off an RX and went back to pick it up a few hours later and the pharmacy was gone!!! Ok, not gone but moved. Since I couldn't find my Gold Bond I decided to try something new. Nivea Body Essentially Enriched, Daily Lotion for Very Dry, Rough Skin. The bottle claims to "Dramatically Improve Skin Condition over time. With Sea Minerals, Vitamin E & Almond Oil.

Ingredients Water, Mineral Oil, C13-16 Isoparaffin, Glycerin,
Isopropyl Palmitate, Petrolatum, PEG-40 Sorbitan Perisostearate, Polyglyceryl-3 Diisostearate, Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis Oil Sweet Almond*, Tocopheryl Acetate, Taurine, Sea Salt, Magnesium Sulfate, Fragrance, Citric Acid, Sodium Citrate, Potassium Sorbate

I was pleasantly surprised!!! The lotion is thick but still easy to pump and easy to rub onto my skin. It does take a minute or so to absorb (probably because of the Almond Oil). I usually shower at night and I don't need to reply in the morning or throughout the next day. It doesn't really have a smell, I guess it smells like Nivea..... I've noticed that my skin looks radiant & smoother!! I also like that I don't have to mix two products. I will buy this product again when I run out. It isn't to expensive either. I don't remember the exact price but it was in the range of $6-$8 for a 13.5oz bottle

Since I liked the body lotion so much I decided to try out the old school Nivea in the jar for my face which is drier during this time of the year. I ran out of my MARK lotion and I'm trying not to order things until I move.

Ok, this stuff is THICK!!! Like really thick kinda like when you forget to take out butter to let it soften before spreading it on something... I find that using thin layers & applying a little at a time works best.

It absorbs quickly but you may look a little greasy for a minute or two.

A little goes a long way!

It kinda smells, like Nivea (lol, I can't describe it. It smells more Nivea like than the body lotion.

If you have oily skin, DO NOT PUT THIS ON YOUR FACE. You will turn into a shiny greasy hot mess! I find that my nose is a little oily so I don't put this on my nose.

I do feel like my skin looks a little more radiant without makeup. I'm not sure if I would buy this again. I definatley would not use it in the summer.

Although the Creme is really thick it's great to use on extra dry parts like, elbows, hands, feet, & knees.

Hi Y'all!! People keep asking me if I "still really want to move to ATL because it's like all flooded."
Sorry but I'm not going to let a big ass flood make me change my mind. So yes y'all! I'm still leaving on Oct. 10th! I may have to get a canoe but I'm going. Mother Nature is everywhere & shes' not stopping me!!!

Where Have I Been? Hair Porn & FOTD

Hi Y'all! I feel like I've been neglecting my DOLLS!!!!. The last week or so have been super crazy.

Here's Why:

1.-I've been doing marketing,PR, and menu design for Maxwell's Sports-Bar Grill my friends new place during the day and on the weekend nights, Thurs.-Sat. I've been "keeping an eye on things" Thursday is the crazy night the college crowd is out on the prowl.....I've been "keeping an eye on the bar" meaning running around after drunk college kids and re-hanging pics on the wall and making sure there's toilet paper in the bathrooms, telling people that salt & pepper shakers and ketchup bottles aren't TOYS and making sure everyone is having a good time! Ok, so it's not as stressful as it sounds because I make I have a drink in my hand while I do it :) Since my friend owns the place I get very overly concerned; and I want everything to run smoothly when she isn't there and I go into organizational smooth running mode!

2.- Last week I got an email from my school stating that I've been DISMISSED! Yep, straight up kicked out. My school uses some retarded ass scale called SAP (Satisfactory Academic Progress), and my summer term grades HAVE YET TO BE POSTED so it looked like I failed 3 courses...... So they kicked me out!!!! De-registered me, and took away my finanical aid 3 days before the Fall Term began..... I knew something was wrong so I bitched and fought like the only child brat that I can be and it turns out that when I withdrew from school in 2007 when I was really sick (I had an infection in my jawbone and nerve damage in my lip from having my wisdom teeth removed), the school mis-calculated my SAP, they also didn't change my Fall status back to "part-time" and it was all messed up, but it's fixed and I got back into all my classes, my tuition is paid and I got a really cute pink binder to motivate me :) I thought I couldn't do math! Someone at SUNY Empire State College can't to do math either! My mathematical retardedness doesn't effect other peoples LIVES! Just messes up my bank account...

3.- I'm dangerously addicted to the game Wedding Dash on my laptop and Sally's Spa on my BB Storm... Thanks Diana!
Like I have time to be stressed out over some games!!! >_< If you want these games don't buy them from the website for $19.99 take your behind to Target they have them for $9.99!!! To download them on a Blackberry I think it's like $5 or something.....

4.- I got my hair did last Monday but my new FABULOUS Weavologist Ms. Anya! I really wanted to go back to straight hair but before I invest in ordering it from an Indian Remy Vendor, I figured I do a test run with some BSS Hair (Beauty Supply Store)... So I used two Packs of Outre Velvet crap or something (I only plan to wear this install for about a month until I leave for ATL! We decided to do my hair on Labor Day and we figured the at least the Asian Hood BSS would be open NOPE!!! They were doing nails and making food but not selling hair!!! So we ended up called the Beauty Supply in the Waterbury Mall and they were open!!!!! On my way to the mall, I ran into my ex and he called like "why you creepin' at my mall".... Mind you he caught me WEAVELESS, lol he didn't even notice.... So we get the goods, I got upset b/c she had no "quality" hair in length whore lengths like 18'-22", so I'm rocking 16" which looks like 18'' but I miss my dramatic 22'' but crack tickling' hair....... So I go to pay and to my DEBIT CARD IS MISSING LIKE GONE!!!!! I didn't have any credit cards b/c they are in my freezer hidden in a block of ice. I'd usually like flip out and call the cops and report it stolen but I needed to get my hair did that day!! So I called up the ex and told him the situation and he rescued me so I could buy my hair :) So without here's my new look!!! I'm gonna show y'all a before pic!!!! My hair is growing like fire since I've been wearing full weaves for a year.... So here's some hair porn for y'all......
