VIII Prime Boys to play with Paandoves in the finals

Kumari Club, 24th July,2008- The second semi final match was played between the VIII Prime Boys and the BBA 6th team in which VIII Prime Boys won the match by 1-0 with the goal of Ramesh KC in the extra time.

The first half of the match ended in a goalless draw. Both the teams played defensive game in the first half. The only opportunity in the half was the shot from Sunil Bhattarai of the BBA 6th whose shot was just over the bar. The second half was expected to be more competitive. Ram of the winning team was booked for his tackle in the 1st minute of the second half. A minute later Bidur of the BBA 6th team was also booked.

Both the teams created some good opportunities for goal but failed to capitalize on it. The long range shot from Rakesh of the VIII Prime Boys in the 27th minutes was blocked by the defender of the BBA 6th, Nitesh. A minute later, Nitesh again saved two consecutive shots from Rajan and Ramesh. No teams could take a lead in the second half too and the game moved to extra time.

It was likely to head the game towards the penalty shot out. But, Ramesh KC(VIII Prime Boys) gave his team a lead in the 8th minute of the extra time. After conceding the goal,BBA 6th attacked to score an equalizer. But they could not score any goal and lost the match.

VIII Prime Boys will play with Paandoves in the Finals.

DAY 9: Defending Champions failed to defend their title

Kumari Club, 22nd July, 2008- BIM UNITED(BIM 6th) lost their game against BBA 6th in the penalty shot out in which Uttkarsh Manandhar made the deciding goal of the match.

The game had to start on watery ground because heavy rain had hit the ground before the match. This led to lots of missed pass by both the teams. Bidur of BBA 6th got a chance to score a goal in the 8th minute on a 1-on-1 challenge with the last defender, Roshan Ale Magar. But, it was easily cleared. Both the team defended well and the first half ended 0-0.

The teams got a couple of chances to score goals but they failed to capitalize it. In the last 5 minutes of the second half, Sushil KC(BIM United) found a good opportunity to score a goal but he couldn’t give the finishing touch for a goal. Since, there were no goals in the second half as well; the game had to be played on extra time.

Both teams fought hard during the extra 10 minutes time, but couldn’t resolve the draw. The teams were inseparable in the penalties as well until the last ball. The first three players from both the teams scored in the penalty shot out. Roshan Ale’s(BIM United) penalty shot was stopped by defender in the fourth round whereas the shot of Sunil Bhattarai(BBA 6th) also failed to convert into a goal. After that, Sushil KC came to hit the penalty but the ball hit the post and came out. To stay in the game, BIM United must stop the last penalty but the shot of Uttkarsh(BBA 6th) entered into the post and took his team to the Semi-final.

BBA 6th will play against VIII Prime Boys in the Semis.

DAY 10: Paandoves made their way to Final

Kumari Club,23rd July,2008- The semi finals of the tiger 5 tournament started with the Paandoves facing the Basketball team today. It was a fierce match with fast pace attacks from both the sides. Both the teams focused on attacking football throughout the half .The speed of the players on both the teams made the first half absolutely entertaining. The Paan-doves had a good rhythm from the start, however the Basketball team quickly caught up to them after the substitution of Ketan. Both teams created many good chances, but the first goal came from the feet of Rupendra connecting with Arjun’s assist. Arjun made another great run on the 19th minute ending it with another pass to rupendra to give him his second goal. The basketball team also quickly answered with a counter attack from Ravi to give him his 6th goal of the tournament. Ravi is also the current leading scorer of the tournament.

On the second half the Paandoves seemed contempt with their 1 goal lead and played most of the half defending their own goal. The Basketball team tried to pressure their opponents with constant attacks. Many good opportunities were created but despite their perseverance they couldn’t find the equalizer. The Basketball team showed great stamina as they kept attacking till the very end. There were many good plays from Ravi, Ketan and Neetesh but a lot of opportunities were lost in Sonam’s powerful but inaccurate shots. In the end not even Bikash sir’s (coach) support could help his team. The Paandoves managed to defend their lead till the very end and after the goalless second half they won with the score 2-1.

With the score in their favour, the Paandoves has qualified for the finals and their opponents shall be decided in tomorrow’s match.

DAY 8: Indigenous Knocked out by Basketball Team

Kumari Club, 21st July, 2008- The third quarter final match was played between the Basketball team and the Indigenous team (BBA 4th) in which the Basketball team won the match convincingly by 3-0.
Both team played started well with some good opportunities to score the goal but none of the teams could capitalize those opportunities. Hence, the first half ended 0-0.

The second half was expected to be more competitive but the Basketball team played better and scored 3 goals to win the match. In the 27 minute, the shot of Ravi Giri made a shot which Sumit Shrestha tried to defend it deflected into their own post. That gives Basketball Team a lead of a goal to nil. Five minute after that Ravi Giri got a pass beating the last defender which he converted into goal and scored his 5th goal of the tournament. Ketan Khadka in the 39th minutes tried a long range shot from the half, which the last defender,Bishal Tamrakar left considering it will be out, entered in the post. Finally, the match referee, Bidur Pradhan signaled the end of the game and Basketball Team got 3-0 victory over Indigenous Team.
Their next match will be with BBS 1st year in the Semi-Finals.

DAY 7: Basketball Team in the Quarters

Kumari Club, July 20, 2008- Prime Teacher and Staff Team were badly defeated by Basketball Team with the score of 6-1 in which Ravi of Basketball Team made hatrick. Ravi scored four goals against the team.

Basketball Team had a good start and took a lead in the 14 min when Ravi scored his first goal. In the final minute of first half, Ravi again strike the ball for a goal. Teachers Team were unable to perform well as in the previous match. There were couple of chances for Teachers team but they can’t utilize them. Therefore, The score was 2-0 at the end of the first half.

The second half was totally dominated by the Basketball team. Basketball Team added four more goals in the second half and were six goals ahead of Teachers Team. Chetan and Shree scored a goal in 31 and 33 minute respectively. Ravi scored another two goals in the 34 and 36 minute and got hatrick. Bikash Sir from the Teachers Team scored a consolation goal in the 41 minute.

The game ended with a score of 6-1.

DAY 6: Pandavs, VIII Prime Boys and Basketball Team win their game

Kumari Club, July 19, 2008- It was a classic match up between the Pandavs and the Debasters (G) with two controversial goals, an unexpected come back and penalty shootouts in the end. With formidable players on both the sides, both teams played their hearts out. Pandav’s strikers pleagued the opponent’s defense, but the well coordinate Debastor team held their ground.
The first half had a slow build up with rain agitating the play. However the teams still managed to provide a scintillating game. An error in the D area of the Pandav’s half led to an own goal from the feet of Rajiv Joshi in the 7th minute. Both teams were deadlocked during the rest of the half as neither could manage to change the score.
In the second half the tempo was turned even higher. Bijay Gurung from the Debastor team scored on the very first minute of the second half giving Debastor a comfortable 2 goal lead. After that the Debastors went into the defensive for the rest of the half. The Pandavs took the opportunity to bombard the opponents with shot after shot at the goal. The Debastors stood firm with a well coordinated defense but an unstoppable long range shot from Arjun Lama found its way straight at the back of the net. With their spirits re-lifted, the Pandavs pounded on even harder than before. The Debastors did answer with some half hearted counter attacks but no real chance was created. During the last minutes it looked like the debastor would proceed to the semi finals but a final twist awaited. Taking advantage of a rare lapse of concentration, Rajiv Joshi took the ball off the defenders feet and equalized the score to 2 each at the end of normal time.
Both teams fought hard during the extra 10 minutes time, but couldn’t resolve the draw. The teams were inseparable in the penalties as well until the last ball. A goal from Rupedra Chand and a save from Rajiv in the end gave the Pandavs the victory.
All in all it was definitely one of the best match the tiger five tournament and hats off to both the teams.

VIII Prime Boys and E Unites

The next game was played between VIII Prime Boys and E Unites in which VIII Prime Boys defeated E Unites 2-1. Hira scored twice for the winning team.
Both the team displayed attacking and defensive game. The first goal came out in the 11th minute. Hira of VIII Prime Boys scored his first goal beating the last defender in the 11th min. In the 18th min, Robins scored an equalizer for E Unites. Hira scored again in the 22nd min. Both the teams were unable to score any further and the VIII Prime Boys won the match 2-1.

Basketball Team and the BIM United(“B”)

The third game was played between Basketball Team and the BIM United(“B”). The game was started in the raining atmosphere in which the basketball team got victory over BIM United(“B”).
There were only four players playing from the Basketball team during the first five minutes. But, the BIM United fails to take advantage. There were more counter attacks and attacking move showed by the Basketball team in the first half. BIM United were just defending their shot to avoid the goal. However, the first half ends with the goalless draw.
In the second half, Basketball Team showed good passing movements and counter attacks that lead to make a goal by Shree in the 27 min. BIM United(“B”) were trying to avoid the goals after that by playing in defensive formation. But, Basketball team got success in cutting off the BIM United’s defense and scored another goal in the 33 min of the game. The second goal was scored by Sujan.
Finally, the match referee Roshan Ale Magar, signaled the end of the game and the game ended with the final score of 2-0.

DAY 5: Prime Staff team and Indigenous in the next round

Kumari Club, July 18, 2008- Prime Teacher & Staff Team and Indigious Team(BBA 4th “A”) move up to the next round. They beat Prime Canteen Team and Crusaders respectively by a goal to a nil.

The first match on the day was played between Prime Teacher & Staff Team andPrime Canteen Team. In the 5th min, the defender of Prime Canteen made a hand ball and referee decided to give the free-kick near the post since, there is no rule of penalty during hand ball. Krishna(Prime Canteen Team) deflected the free-kicked ball by Bikash Shahi(Teachers Team) in their own post which was a silly mistake that turnover the game. Prime Canteen tried to come back in the 18 min in which Michael tried a shot that hit the left bar and came out.

When the first half ended Teachers team were on a lead of a goal. Prime Canteen made an attack on two on 1 in which Nima tried a shot which again hit the post and came out Hmmm……Lucky Teachers Team

The game ended 1-0.

Crusaders (BBA 8th) Vs Indigenous (BBA 4th)

The second game was played between the Crusaders (BBA 8th) and the Indigenous (BBA 4th). Both the team started aggressively. Bishal of the Crusaders team hit the post in the 9th min. In the 16th min, the shot from Bishal was blocked by the defender. Both the teams were unable to score in the first half. They tried a lot of shots to take a lead in the game but they can’t. The first half ended in a goal less draw.

The Indigenous team played well in the second half. They made a consecutive attack on the Crusaders. Sudeep of the Indigenous team hit the post in the 26th min. Another opportunity for the Indigenous team was created in the 29th min in which the shot from Rakesh was denied by the defender of the Crusaders team, Rishav Raj Singh. Indigenous team took the lead in the 35th min with a spectacular goal from Rakesh Maharjan. Both the teams were unable to score any goal after that and Indigenous won the match 1-0.

DAY 4: BIM United and Debaster (G) win their first game

Kumari Club July 17, 2008- There were two games in the fourth day of the Tiger V Football Tournament. The first game was between BIM United(BIM 6th sem) and Spartans (BBA 4th “B”).

Defending champions, BIM United score their first goal in the 15 minutes
of the first half when Ravi J. Bhattarai of BIM united converted the corner shot of Roshan Ale Magar into goal. In the 19th minutes,the team captain of BIM united, Roshan Ale Magar got injured during the game play and substituted. Both the team tried to built pressure on their opponents but the first half ends with the score 1-0.

After the 6th minutes of second half, Bibek Man Singh of Spartans equalize a goal on one-on-one challenge with the defender of BIM United. Rupendra Gopali of BIM United gave their team a lead of 2-1 in the 31 minutes. Spartans seems losing their hope of winning the game when Ravi added another two goals in the 35 and 39 minutes and made a first hatrick in that Tiger V Football Tournament.

BIM united had 4-1 victory over Spartans.

Danab (BIM 8th ) Vs Debaster (G) Team

The second game was between Danab (BIM 8th ) and Debaster (G) Team (12 “F”) was started at 6:00 PM. Danab took a lead whenAlok pant scored a goal on a open post in the 7 minutes. Debaster showed a good passing skill in the game but they couldn’t got pass through the defense of Danab. They missed an opportunity in the 10 and 15 minutes to equalize the score and the first half ended with the score of a goal to a nil.

Debaster begun to attack on the second half and equalize the score when Mukesh Khadka of Debaster scored a goal in the 31st minutes. The game was likely to head to the extra time because no one added a goal after that. But, at the injury time of 2 minutes, Dhan K. Lama of Debaster scored a deciding goal that made Danab knocked out of the tournament.

DAY 3: BBA 6th wins over All Devils

Kumari Club, July 16, 2008 - In the third day, BBA 6th Semester clashed with the Plus 2(All Devils). .Bidur Pradhan of BBA 6th missed the chance of scoring a goal in the first half. He tried a shot in the open post but it goes from the top of the barBoth the team showed a good attacking football in the first half. But, after the first half BBA 6th dominated the game.There was no goal by each of the team after half an hour of game played,the game was likely to go in extra time. But in the 32 minutes, Bidur Pradhan of BBA 6th score his first goal of the tournament and give their team a lead of a goal to a nil.

The final score was 1-0.

The second game between E Unites (12 “E”) and Anarchy (BIM 2nd) was no held because Anarchy Team gave walk over to E Unites.

Match 2: Bokas Returns Vs BBS 1st Yr

The second game of the Tiger 5 Football Tournament was played between Bokas Returns (BIM 4th Semester) and BBS 1st year (Green) team.It was raining when the game was started. Regardless of rain players shows their outstanding game for beating their challengers.At the starting of 11th minutes BBS (Green) take the advantages through the goal of Arjun Raj Lama (11).After 1st half Bokas Returns show their attacking game, but they are unable to convert lots of opportunity into goal.

Finally the game was finished on 1-0.

The first opening game of the Tiger 5 Football Tournament was started on 14th July 2008.
The game was opening by Principal Mr. Naresh P. Shrestha in the pleasant environment.
At the first game VIII Prime Boys secure trouble-free victory over the Manang.
Ramesh KC of VIII Prime Boys scored the first goal for his team on first 3 minutes. At 18th minutes Sujan Dangol give their team a lead of two goals. Rakesh KC drive up the final goal and they finish it on 3-0.

Tiger 5 Football Tournament

As we all know football has been one of the most popular and exciting games in the world. It has been played and loved by everyone from children to old, men to women all over the world. The tradition and enthusiasm continues as the football Tiger 5 tournament is held every year in Prime College by the Bachelor level students. Several teams from each batch of different faculties participate in this tournament with lots of excitement and spirit. The last Tiger 5 tournament was organized by BBA 2nd batch students in which BIM 5th Batch(BIM UNITED) were become the winners. They defeat BBA 6th Batch by a single goal. This time, the tournament is going to be organized by BIM 5th Batch students who were the defending champions. More enthusiasm, participation and excitement is expected in this tournament. The organizer are giving their all effort to make this tournament a success one.

A much more participation and support is expected from all the students and management as the tournament progress and make it a great tournament.

Rules of the Tournament

Here are some rules of this tournament that should be followed strictly by the players and the team.

>> 8 Players will be in a team(5 players & 3 Substitutes)

>> Match time will be 40 minutes

>> Each Half will be 20 minutes each

>>Substitutes can come back & fourth at any time with the permission of the refree

>> A defense guarding the post must be outside the small D area if the ball crosses the centre

>> In case of tie, the match will be played in additional 10 minutes ( 5 minutes each)

>> If the score is still tied up the PENALTY will be the ultimate decider

>> 5 shots each team (Substitute can also take the penalty)
