Acoustica is a 2001 unplugged album by German hard rock band Scorpions. Acoustica was recorded during three concerts, at Convento do Beato, Lisbon, Portugal. It was a most unusual set for the band, as Klaus Meine comments on the DVD. The band was backed up by a bunch of extra musicians like backing vocalists, percussionist, extra guitarist and Christian Kolonovits (who had worked with the band as conductor and arranger on the Moment of Glory album) on keyboards. He also collaborated on rearranging the songs for the acoustic set. Four new songs were performed: "Life Is Too Short", "When Love Kills Love", "Back To You" and "I Wanted To Cry". All the new songs were featured on the DVD, while "Back To You" was not included on the CD. Another unusual thing that can be observed on Acoustica are the performances of cover versions of famous songs like The Cars' "Drive", Kansas' "Dust In The Wind" and the Queen hit "Love Of My Life".

Escape is an Enrique Iglesias album recorded in English in 2001. In late 2002, a special edition of the album was released with two extra songs, "Maybe" (Mark Taylor Mix) and "To Love a Woman", a duet with Lionel Richie.Escape debuted at #2 on the Billboard 200, his then highest debut on the chart, selling 267,000 copies in its first week. Simultaneously, "Hero" topped the UK charts, making Iglesias the first Latin artist to have a #1 album and #1 single on the charts. It was the second highest seller, in the United Kingdom, beaten only by Robbie Williams's Escapology. It was also the best selling album of 2002 in Australia.
The album also performed well throughout the world, being certified 3x Platinum in the United States, 4x Platinum in the United Kingdom, 5x Platinum in Ireland, 6x Platinum in Canada, 5x Platinum in Australia, 3x Platinum in India, 2x Platinum in Germany, as well as reaching Platinum or Gold certification in numerous other countries around the world.
The album has now sold more than 10 million copies worldwide, becoming Enrique's best-selling album to date.

Turn It On is Ronan Keating's third solo album, released on November 17, 2003. Three singles were released off the album; "Lost for Words", "She Believes (In Me)" and "Last Thing on My Mind", the latter featuring LeAnn Rimes.

The album, unlike his previous albums, which both reached #1 on the UK Albums Chart, only peaked at #21.

Their Greatest Hits: The Record is the career retrospective greatest hits album by the Bee Gees, released on UTV Records in November 2001. The album includes 40 tracks spanning over 35 years of music. Four of the songs were new recordings of classic Gibb compositions originally recorded by other artists, including "Emotion" (Samantha Sang), "Heartbreaker" (Dionne Warwick), "Islands In The Stream" (Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton), and "Immortality" (Celine Dion). It also features the Barry Gibb duet with Barbra Streisand, "Guilty", which originally appeared on Streisand's 1980 album of the same name.

The album peaked at #5 twice in the UK, the first time upon its release in 2001 and again in January 2003 (following the death of Maurice Gibb). It has since been certifed triple platinum by the BPI for sales of over 900,000 copies.

In the US, the album debuted on the Billboard 200 album chart at #49. It spent a total of 40 weeks on the chart and was certified platinum by the RIAA in February 2002 for sales of over 1 million copies there.

There are two bonus songs on the Japanese release, "Melody Fair" and "My World". Also there are two bonus songs on the UK release, "Jumbo" and "My World". Copies sold at the American retailer Target included a bonus disc entitled 5 Live Recordings.

Songs From The Heart, third album of the Australian singer and songwriter, Rick Price. Price was born in Beaudesert, a small country town near Brisbane, Queensland. He began playing music at the age of nine appearing with his family band "Union Beau". "It was kinda weird I guess. Up there with your Aunties and Uncles, brother and sister playing country music mixed with psychedelic rock covers!" At eighteen Price escaped to Sydney and continued working as a musician, playing bass with various inner city outfits and landing the occasional bit of studio and touring work. During the mid 80s Rick turned his focus more towards his singing. His distinctive vocals were soon in demand and in 1988 he was invited to sing "Celebration of a Nation", the theme song for Australia's Bicentennial. This opportunity helped lay the foundations for his solo career.

Price began writing his own material in the late 80s "I started getting into my own writing and my own songs and "Not A Day Goes By" (with Pam Reswick and Steve Werfel) was pretty much the first one I came up with". This single released in February 1992 received saturation radio and video play, climbing to number 5 on the national charts where it spent 20 weeks in the Australian top 100. It was the beginning of a lifelong ambition for Price, in the space of less than 12 months, he went from relative obscurity to become one of the biggest names in Australian music.

Come Away with Me is the debut album of pianist and singer Norah Jones, released February 26, 2002 on Blue Note Records. Recording sessions for the album took place at New York City's Sorcerer Sound Studio and Shokan's Allaire Studios in 2001. Although genre classification has been disputed, Jones' mellow style and playing on Come Away with Me is recognized as contemporary jazz.

The album's critical and commercial success was a breakthrough for Jones in 2002, as it reached the top of the Billboard 200 chart and several jazz charts. Elvis Aaron Presley (January 8, 1935 – August 16, 1977; middle name sometimes spelled Aron) was an American singer and actor. A cultural icon, he is commonly known simply as Elvis and is also sometimes referred to as The King of Rock 'n' Roll or The King.

Presley began his career in 1954 as one of the first performers of rockabilly, an uptempo fusion of country and rhythm and blues with a strong back beat. His novel versions of existing songs, mixing "black" and "white" sounds, made him popular—and controversial—as did his uninhibited stage and television performances. Presley had a versatile voice and had unusually wide success encompassing many genres, including rock and roll, gospel, blues, country, ballads and pop. To date, he has been inducted into four music halls of fame.

In the 1960s, Presley made the majority of his 31 movies, most of which were poorly reviewed but financially successful musicals. In 1968, he returned to live performances in a television special, which led to a string of successful tours across the U.S., notably in Las Vegas, for the remainder of his career. In 1973, Presley staged the first global live concert via satellite (Aloha from Hawaii), reaching at least one billion viewers live and an additional 500 million on delay.

Throughout his career, he set records for concert attendance, television ratings and recordings sales. Greatest Hits is a hits compilation by Robbie Williams, released in 2004. It included two new songs, these being "Radio" and "Misunderstood", which were both released as singles.

The album is his seventh released in the United Kingdom. It was one of the fastest selling albums upon release in the country, where it debuted at the number-one spot with first week sales over 320,000 copies. Certain versions of the compilation feature Williams in a pose exposing his pubic hair on the cover, and in the booklet is the Latin phase "…si quid habet mammas vel rotas, res habebis difficiles aliquando," translating into "if it has tits or wheels, it makes life difficult."

A special edition box set with all of Robbie Williams' singles was released on the same day.

"The Rox Box / Roxette 86-06", released on 18 October 2006 is a Boxset from Swedish pop duo Roxette, celebrating 20 years of successful hit singles and albums. Its sister release was their Greatest hits compilation A Collection of Roxette Hits - Their 20 Greatest Songs!.

The songs featured in this boxset stretch back to Roxette's first release, "Neverending Love", to new songs recorded for the compilation, "One Wish" and "Reveal" also featured in their Greatest hits album. Other songs can also be found in the four CD box set, including unreleased demos and album out-takes. Strangely although every international Roxette single from "Neverending Love" to "Reveal" is included, the album omits the 1994 hit single "Fireworks". Although the reason isn't known it is assumed that Roxette do not like it as it has not appeared on previous compilations. It only appears on its parent album Crash! Boom! Bang! from 1994, although it is included in remixed form on their album Rarities from 1995. The DVD however does include the video for the track. The album does omit smaller hit singles that were only minor hits in smaller countries such as "Chances" and "I Call Your Name".

A DVD of their complete 1993 MTV Unplugged concert featuring previously unseen performances can also be found in this boxset.

The cover of The Rox Box bore the line "It Was Twenty Years Ago Today...", a nod to Gessle's lifelong fandom of The Beatles, coming as it does from the song "Sergeant Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band".

Unplugged is an acoustic live album by Canadian musician Bryan Adams. The album was recorded in September, 1997 at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City. Adams was joined by Irish piper Davy Spillane and Michael Kamen who wrote orchestrations for many of the songs and brought students from the Juilliard School to play them.

The album includes only thirteen of the songs recorded at the show. Many more are included on the MTV Unplugged DVD and the song order is also different than the CD.

Unbreakable - The Greatest Hits Vol. 1 was the fourth album and first greatest hits album by Irish boyband Westlife and was released on 11 November 2002. It peaked at #1 in the UK and at #66 in Australia and sold close to 1.4 million copies in the UK alone. It is also the band's longest charting album. The album was the 9th best selling of 2002 in the UK. It managed to re-enter the 2007 UK Year-end albums chart at #107. On October 2008, IFPI announced that this album is already 2x Platinum or exceeding to two million sales in Europe. On UK Year-end 2008 album charts, the said album re-entered at #79 with 191 000 copies sold with the said year only.

The album consists of their past hit singles along with the following 6 new songs. First, "How Does It Feel" (Producer, Arranged By, Mixed By - Steve Mac; Written By - McFadden, Filan, Romdhane, Larossi). "Love Takes Two" (Steve Mac, Wayne Hector). The band's hit single "Flying Without Wings" was re-recorded as a duet with Korean superstar BoA and Cristian Castro, and was included on the Asian and Spanish version of the album respectively. The first single released from the album was "Unbreakable", a UK #1 single. The second single, "Tonight/Miss You Nights" peaked at #3 in the UK. The song "Written in the Stars" was sampled by DJ Ironik for his song "Stay with Me", released in 2008.
