2 arrested after stabbing attack on a 25yo salon owner

Two people have been arrested following a savage stabbing attack on a 25-year-old woman at a Melbourne shopping centre.

Moonee Ponds detectives arrested a 37-year-old man and a woman in her 20s just after 5.30pm (AEDT) in Sunshine North on Tuesday.

Emergency services were called to an upper level car park at Airport West shopping centre about 9.15am after the woman was stabbed in the head and upper body.

Paramedics found her unconscious and lying in a pool of blood near her car.

Detective Sergeant Michael Engel said the female attacker was known to the victim.

"It's possibly a disgruntled worker or ex-working employee - it certainly wasn't a random attack," Det Sgt Engel said.

He said it was a particularly vicious attack that was launched in front of dozens of shoppers as well as the victim's husband.

The injured woman, who is in an induced coma in a critical condition in the Royal Melbourne Hospital, owns a nail salon at the shopping centre.

Anyone who may have witnessed the assault is urged to call Crime stoppers.

Hey gals, hope everyone's been good?
its been beautiful weather here in my part of australia lately.. so instead of spending time on the net blogging i been spending my time outdoors with my daughter taking advantage of the perfect days, i also been pretty busy with my nail course, i have been practicing acrylic nails heaps at the moment.. i love it
..its soooo much fun, i think im good at it ? :-)
...but i will see on tuesday when we practice on people for the first time, so that will be fun.

Hey! Hows everyone going?

I had a hard week a lot going on but everything is on track again :)

when im stressed or whatever, i consume my free time with painting nails

whats been going on at your side of the world??

i find it relaxing lol :D im not joking i painted about 100 designs,

i took photos of them all so over the next weeks

i will keep posting pics of them until i got to paint more :P

Hey Gals! n Guys?

I have been buying a few New polishes lately

and i love love love this one, i had to share :)

its a sparkly dark forest green by China Glaze its called Emerald Sparkle

so this is it after just 1 coat

now it is streaky and there is no way you can wear it like this

after 2 coats i achieved the same color as the bottle <3

and it is amazing a lovely color and so sparkly

Anyway i hope you like this color as much as i do !!

BYS Crack Finished Purple

OK so the idea is you apply 2 coats of white first

and when the white is still damp

apply the cracked finished in 1 even coat.

OK so i applied my 2 coats of white

i used China Glaze - White Out

so while the white is still damp

i applied 1 even coat of the cracked finish in purple

now i must be honest it took 15 minuets to crack !!

so i dont think i would do this if i were in a hurry

and second i think it looks abit tacky

but others may like the look.

you must wear a topcoat over this !!

i have the other cracked finish polishes in different colors

i will do a post about them another time

..xx

A NAIL salon in Georgia has charged a woman having a manicure and pedicure an extra $5 because she was overweight and could damage their chairs.

Michelle Fonville, 40, of Lithonia, said she was at the Natural Nails salon getting a burnt orange color applied to her fingers and toes, along with an eyebrow wax, when she was presented with what seemed like an excessive bill.

“I said to the clerk I thought I had been accidentally overcharged, I honestly thought it was an error,” she told ABC News.

But then, Ms Fonville said, “when she came over and wrote out the prices she then said, 'I charged you five dollars more because you're overweight'."

Kim Tan, the salon manager, told ABC News' Atlanta affiliate WSB-TV that the chairs in her salon can only hold 200 pounds and cost $2500 to repair.

"Do you think that's fair when we take $24 dollars and we have to pay $2500 in repairs?" Ms Tan said.

"I said to her I'm sorry, but next time I cannot take you."

Ms Fonville said she plans to protest outside the salon later this week.

Ms Tan returned the extra $5, ABC reported.

i totally understand that those chairs are not cheap but I personally think it is not right the salon could have handled it a less discriminating way, maybe they should get a larger chair for overweight clients so they are more comfortable, every gal deserves nice nails.

I finally got a UV Lamp :D

i been wanting one for ages but they were abit pricey

at school they had a few left and they were marked down from $200 to $50

so i couldn't help myself i just had to get one....

my excuse is i have to do gel nails next year

so why get it now cheap eh?

its really cool now i need some UV topcoat :) its also a nail dryer so its still useful <3

I think they turned out ok ?? bit plain tho ....

mum came over for a visit so i decided to practice manicure on her for my home work

you have probably realized if u read my blog that i cant stick to a plain color or design..

my mum was like 1 color is fine Cherie ...but you know whatever mum i couldn't help my self i tired to keep it as simple as possible OK lol and yes i forgot to clean my edges before i took the photo tisk tisk ;)
