Listening to fellow restorers online, many go on to the journey of stripping down the original paintwork and adding gloss coating. We personally find that the color is still that bit off the main color scheme of the Hot Toys Iron Man Mark III.

Many success stories and advices has lead me to trying out the Tamiya acrylic paint Clear Red X-27 and no further glossy paint to be added. I found that it has restored the MK III to *95% original color of what Hot Toys originally presents to us.

*by saying 95%, I'm just judging with my naked eyes. No special equipment has been used. Just to disclaim before I get flame.

Once again, the previous part ii gloss has been stripped to allow even spread of the new coat of X-27 Clear Red. The following pictures show the before paint on.

Final product after two days job. The pictures are shot in very bright light and high ISO thus you may find the Clear Red to be not as close colored to the original Hot Toys MK III red. But stay tune for more.

This is the true color which our naked eyes are viewing the Mark III. The original color is actually dull red rather than the previous pictures showing almost close to Mark IV red.

We would say that the X-27 Clear Red actually does a very good job!
In real life, we actually cannot differentiate the re-paint tummy and underwear Clear Red with the original Hot Toys dull red.

The camera is not doing the restoration justice, all are welcome to my house to see the real deal.
You might be surprised how close the color hue and saturation are now, we are so delighted with your advices to use the X-27 and that shall conclude the restoration for the Hot Toys Iron Man Mark III and off to display it shall be!

Finally completed the full Iron Man and Iron Man 2 movie masterpieces when we got the Iron Man movie Hot Toys collection, the Hot Toys Iron Man Mark I 2.0 Special Edition that comes with the Mark I hologram. We are so delighted to own this marvelous piece as we have previously missed out on the version 1.0 back few years ago.

The re-mastered movie accurate Mark I 2.0 simply melt our hearts away and we have to start taking photos even when time is tight while getting prepared for coming Chinese New Year.

ZY Toys - Iron Man OBADIAH STANE in Black Business Suit

Since we have the the Hot Toys Iron Man IRON MONGER MMS164, the next plan is to customize using the MMS164 Obadiah Stane head sculpt with 1/6th scale TTM custom body.

The main apparel came from the 1/6th scale shopping mall call eBay, since ZY Toys is widely carried and sold by different blogshops as well, we decided to go for eBay as a reliable source.

The ZY Toys Black Business Suit comes with one Black Coat, one pair of Black Pants, one White Shirt and finally a Black Tie.

Since it doesn't come with any leather shoes, once again we revisited the 1/6th scale shopping mall, and selected the most suitable and well designed custom black leather shoes to go with this custom Obadiah Stane formal Black Business Suit figure.

Last but not least, if you noticed the cigar, it was self custom made from brown card board with a little flame to mimic the burnt end of the cigar.

When we first look at the Hot Toys Iron Man 3 Tony Stark 1/6 scale, the head sculpt doesn't look very much like Robert Downey Jr.. After many looks and viewing on Hot Toys homepage preview, hour after hour, day after day, the headsculpt actually does look accurate. The only problem we have is the forehead of the Tony Stark headsculpt. It looks as if Tony Stark is a retired wrestling veteran who has been powdrivered in every match during his days as a wrestler.

Good news is, WE HAVE PREORDERED! WOOHOO!
At a whooping price of S$300.00, we preordered from Vincent Collection, located in China Square Central. Release date, estimated Q2 - 2013.

The movie has yet to be screen and we have the luxury of previewing the scene where Tony Stark is working in his laboratory under the cliff mansion located at the beautiful seaview Malibu.

Standing at an approximate 30 cm tall with 30 points of articulations, there are many ways you can set up the Iron Man 3 movie scene. The head sculpt newly developed as well as the newly sculpted advanced body with light-up chest light and highly detailed accessories.

The Hot Toys 1/6th scale Tony Stark Limited Edition Collectible Figurine specially features the authentic and detailed fully realized likeness of Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark in his workshop in the Iron Man 3 movie. Along with movie-accurate facial features with detailed beard, wrinkles and skin texture which initially we are not much convinced the accuracy but eventually besides the veteran wrestler forehead, everything else is just perfect.

The best part if the LED light on chest, this is the new Arc Reactor featured in the Mark VI where Tony Stark synthesize and create a brand new element as the unlimited source of power.

Besides the beautiful metallic gold and red painting on armor, we simply love the amount of accessories Hot Toys included in this version of Tony Stark. One left forearm armor, three interchangeable left palm armors including two with articulated figures and one fist. One pair of leg armors, three pairs of interchangeable palms including one pair of relaxed palms, one pair of fists, one pair of palms for holding tools.

The apparel consists of one grey and black patterned tee, one pair of black jeans and one pair of black shoes.

Leaving the best for the last, the wonderful accessories Hot Toys meticulously included are one headset, one articulated mechanical robot with wheels and camera, one desk with wheels with armors (helmet, face mask, neck support, elbow, palm & leg armors), magazine, blueprints, electrical wires and tools (pincers & screw driver). Right after we have showcased our Hot Toys War Machine Special Edition, we are proud to present the Original Hot Toys War Machine 1/6th scale War Machine collectible figure from the Iron Man 2 movie. The movie-accurate War Machine collectible is specially crafted based on the image of Don Cheadle, as Col. James 'Rhodey' Rhodes in the movie. Fantastically well equipped armor, light-up functions and weapons.

The Hot Toys 1/6th scale War Machine collectible figure specially features authentic and detailed fully realized likeness of Don Cheadle as War Machine in the movie Iron Man 2. This package comes with the alternate head with authentic likeness of Don Cheadle as Col. James 'Rhodey' Rhodes in the movie. This alternate head does not come with the Special Milk Edition Hot Toys War Machine.

It stands approximately 30 cm tall and has over 36 points of articulations to allow limitless poses. The shoulder and waist are movable and detachable, but a warning not to detach the waist as it is truely highly difficult to put back together.

Some other accessories are the four pairs of interchangeable palm, one pair with improved articulations, movable fingers and light-up repulsors (white light). The other three are pair of open palms with light-up repulsors (white light), the relaxed palms with light-up repulsors (white light) and one pair of fists.

The color painting on armor looks great in metallic grey. Arc reactor lights up with white LED light, and they are so bright I need to wear my Oakley while looking directly into it.

The LED-lighted eyes are red in color, despite using new batteries, the red LED-lighted eyes doesn't seem as bright as it is in the Special Milk Edition. Finally, don't forget to watch out for features on the articulated flaps at the back of armor on left and right legs　

Weapons. Well well well, this makes the difference between the War Machine and Iron Man suit. It comes with big bad guns. One articulated shoulder-mounted gatling gun, rotatable and multidirectional. One left shoulder-mounted cannon, and the infamous Ex-Wife on the right. Last but not least, two machine guns with one behind left and one behind right forearm.

One single accessory is the figure base with War Machine nameplate and movie logo. How we wished it comes with the LED-lighted base. Well, this version came out earlier than the Special Milk Edition, guess Hot Toys realized the LED-lighted base will look fantastic with War Machine.

The Hot Toys War Machine Special Edition, this is a unique version produced by Hot Toys to celebrate the 10th Anniversary of Milk Magazine. The Milk War Machine comes in two version, the Limited 300pcs Edition and the other unlimited Special Edition.

The Hot Toys Milk War Machine was produced using the same mold as the previous original War Machine. The only difference we noticed are the colors, this version's color scheme is inspired by the original comic War Machine.

PREVIEW Hot Toys - Iron Man 2 Hall of Armor

It deeply saddens us when we write a preview. Hot Toys is open for pre-order to complete the 1/6th scale Hall of Armor Collectible from the Iron Man 2 movie from the Diorama Series. This scene allows the displaying of all Tony Stark armors in the basement workshop at his beautiful Malibu sea view house.

This pre-order actually came out a few days already, and we have been pondering so hard with sleepless nights whether to have these or not. Since Mark I should be shooting out fire from the arm, Mark II should be unleashed, Mark III to be fighting with Iron Monger, Mark IV to be suiting up at the suit up gantry, Mark V to be whipped, Mark VI to be standing ground with War Machine, and Mark VII will be flying, there is really no reason why they need to be stored away.

We happen to be lucky enough to pop by a friend's top floor penthouse along Tanjong Rhu. Spectacular 360° open sky view and indeed it is good to be rich. While asking our friend how he feel when he can have the beautiful unblocked view towards Marina Bay Sands, Kallang River, the reply was after awhile, it just look like a piece of very big picture.

Having said, we have the same feeling about the Hall of Armor. After awhile, it just looks like a lifeless picture in the end. That is why we said it deeply saddens us when we write a preview, we feel that writing a preview would mean we may have low chance of going for these beautiful pieces during the pre-order.

We feel that since Hot Toys are making 1/6th scale figures that articulates so well, the armors should be posed, rather than standing like a statue.

We cannot find any reason to buy these cages to do the armors injustice. Perhaps just getting one, just one, as it is definitely a great piece not to be missed. Good thing Hot Toys are packaging them as one, four and seven individual or sets.

The Holographic Forearm Gauntlet which comes with the Hot Toys Mark II Armor Unleashed Version. I have previously reviewed this under the main review on Hot Toys Mark II Armor Unleashed Version, click here if you have missed it.

Since I have the Truetype body and also the inner long sleeve shirt and rest of the apparels from MC Toys, I removed the Black Sabbath T-shirt for this photo session. I was looking forward for some impressive pictures which Hot Toys promised.

I guess it is either my lousy photography skills, or lack of lighting, or Hot Toys have great photoshoppers, I can't seem to take as nice pictures as the one they used for enticing us. Moreover, if the Holographic Gauntlet comes luminous, that will definitely make the pictures speak a thousand words. Nonetheless, here goes some mediocre pictures to share.

The Avengers Black Sabbath Tony Stark - MC Toys

For a reasonable amount tagged at S$35.00, we have got the MC Toys version of The Avengers movie accurate Tony Stark Black Sabbath Set. MC Toys, also known as Magic Cube Toys in full, makes absolutely gorgeous movie accurate accessories. The only drawback here is that MC Toys do not offer the pair of Colantotte Neo Titanium wristbands which Asmus Toys included.

The good about the MC Toys is that the Black Sabbath t-shirt and dark grey long sleeved t-shirt are two separate pieces, as compared to the 'sewed together' one piece which Asmus Toys offers. MC Toys also included accurate men's dark jean and we think the MC Toys pampa boots matches up better than the working leather shoes by Asmus Toys.

Pairing up with Truetype Narrow Shoulder body with the headpiece from Mark IV which comes in the suit-up gantry set, certainly makes this art piece comes alive.

Hot Toys Iron Man IRON MONGER MMS164

So it is not the end of the world as believers of the Mayan Prophecy on the prediction of world ending on 21.12.2012. I had an end of the world movie marathon watching Man In Black, Armageddon, 2012, and many more movies. All movies have the same saying, there actually is an end to the world, just that heroes had saved the world. I choose to believe there actually are time where world is coming to an end and we have super heroes saving our mother earth, therefore, we are here, ready for a review of the Hot Toys Iron Monger by our famous Mini Mug Trios.

Check out this humongous and beautiful box, protecting every bits and pieces of the Hot Toys Iron Monger. Just standing next to it makes us all so small and tiny like Smurfs standing right next to Shaquille O'Neal.

Shipped with the protective brown box, Hot Toys indeed gives us a piece of our mind to expect receiving best quality, hot and crispy straight from the oven state of the art 1/6 scale collectible Iron Monger accurate to the movie Iron Man.

First layer unveils the very well protected Iron Monger. Heavily shielded by massive Styrofoam box, with clear smooth and soft plastic shields the Iron Monger to prevent scratches when shut tightly be the molded front plastic panel.

On the left you see the Iron Monger version of the Ex-Wife, as on War Machine. On the right, you can see the authentic and detailed fully realized likeness likeness of Jeff Bridges as Obadiah Stane in the Iron Man movie. The Hot Toys Iron Monger stands tall to an approximately 17.5 inches and has over 60 points of articulation, awesome.

How we love the specially painted armor. Hot Toys nailed it again, the paint job is indeed state of the art and out of a master craftsman. One look it can seriously pass off as real metal, very mean and steady looking piece of metal armor.

Also comes with two pairs of boot jets attachable to the back of armor on left and right legs for Flying Mode.

Both of 1/6 scale, the Hot Toys Iron Man Mark III Battle Damaged standing 12 inches tall, looks miniature when standing next to the 17.5 inches tall Iron Monger.

On the left arm, you will find the mini-rocket launchers with LED-light and palm with improved articulations, movable fingers and light-up repulsors (white light, battery operated).

On the right arm, you will find one rotatable and extendable machine gun on right arm with LED-light, and also the with improved articulations, movable fingers and light-up repulsors (white light, battery operated).

Opening up the armor plates on the calf, you can attach the pair of boot jets to the back of armor on left and right legs for Flying Mode. Valves/flaps can be pull out to reveal more details.

The moment we are all waiting for, the most ultimate piece of art and technology marvel. No more waiting, and we shall proceed to reveal the inner parts of the Iron Monger. Before attaching the Obadiah Stanes head sculpt and necklace, let us open up the chest to see the magic happens.

Awesome, likeness and movie accurate likeness of Jeff Bridges as Obadiah Stane in the Iron Man movie. Do take care to shut the headpiece as to prevent scratching the marvelous Obadiah Stand headpiece.

Carefully articulating the two back pieces reveals the cannon launcher on left shoulder. We can slot the cannon into the launcher and thereafter keep the cannon inside the left shoulder as well.

Right shoulder plate reveals the battery area as well the the light switch to turn on the LED-lighted eyes and micro ARC reactor (white light, battery operated).

The long awaited scene which we have dream every night to recreate, let us crush the helmet of Iron Man Mark III! Mwahahahahahaha!

After the failure of using the Tamiya X-7 red in restoration part i, I have once again stripped off the paint and listen to the forums. To either add clear red or just a clear code to restore the pink panties problem signature problem on Hot Toys Iron Man series.

This time, I'm just using what I already have, the X22 Clear gloss coat. It works find on the panties, but I find the pink tummy still appear pinkish.

You will see that without the Clear code, the red looks pretty dull after stripping down all colors. Thus gloss is a must, be it you use a paint like X-22 or even gloss spray which you can easily find in your neighbourhood friendly hobby shop.

First look is fine, the pink panties effect is gone, tummy is still pinkish.

With highlighting, the panties are pretty much restored to its original state.

Somewhat satisfactory, in my opinion. Less pinkish on tummy, probably 95% restore on panties.

Conclusion, do not try to paint it down as it just seems not possible to get exactly the same color as the original hot toys iron man red. Just strip any remaining original paint that made the panties pink, gloss it, give some touch up on highlighting, and wait for the magic of restoration.

restoration - Hot Toys Mark III Battle Damaged - Part i

I was once told Ferrari specializes in their proprietor paint, and only exclusive to Ferrari, you cannot get the exact same original color unless you go back to Ferrari and get it respray for S$20,000.00 for one new paint job.

Hot Toys, in my opinion, probably mixes their own colors for the Iron Man series. I can't seem to get close but hopefully close enough. Forums mentioned that Tamiya Acrylic Clear Red might work, I have yet to try. Simply using what I have (for painting my SD gundams), I tried to restore the Mark III Battle Damaged.

Since it is kind of a failure this time, I name it restoration part i. Hopefully with a little mix and match of colors, I might get lucky and close enough to the original color.

As many of Hot Toys collectors know, Iron Man series typical has this signature problem of pink underwear. Unfortunately for Mark III, the belly is also made of the rubber material which eventually turn pink as well.

I first strip off the legs, they come off pretty easily. The head and neck goes too, makes handling the torso much easier. It is pretty tricky to put back the arms of the Mark III BD, thus I recommend to leave them since they can be used a stand for drying anyway.

Using Tamiya X-20A Thinner, I tried to clean/strip any remaining colors off the pink areas. This step is important as it allows the new color to stay on longer and also the solvent in the new paint does not dissolve any remaining colors and get mixed with the new coat. I tried with X-7 Red, doesn't really match well. Anyway, who you always win on first try. Just have to keep trying, that's the fun isn't it.

After cleaning and stripping of the remaining color off the pink area, it leaves a dull maroon color. Some collectors might just leave it this way though, I can say the color is pretty close to the original actually. Thus restore or not? The choice is yours.

After the red coat dries up, it's time to recreate the battle damage done to the Mark III armor. I used X-18 semi gloss black to mix with X-11 chrome silver, and the X-11 chrome silver itself to recreate the effect. Used a thin paint brush and the lines seems very harsh, nonetheless, I will be making a part ii which then I shall use a thin needle to create the lines. I'm guessing it might look closer to the real deal instead of this mess created this time. The gundam marker was used for outlining, it is a must and do not even think about doing away this step.

Well, accepting this for the time being, might have to get the Forum recommended Clear Red, and I will also be mixing the the X-7 with X-18 to see if darkening the red works, or not.

This is another day in Singapore and the date on my 6 month young Seiko Velatura Kinetic Direct Drive says October 11year 2012. Life has been great to me, beautiful wife, great kid, average 4-room flat. Driving a used 2007 Subaru WRX for two years, enjoyed the ride, not the petrol drinking monster, but hell, you want to enjoy, you must accept the facts isn’t it?

You have not heard about me including my job when I said life has been great to me? Well, job is just a job, there is seriously nothing fancy or funky that I want to talk about since it will bore you and sending you straight into the middle of the oblivion. Since I am, or we all are, going to be running through the same situation throughout our life. Get good grades in school, get part time job that pays S$10 an hour during school days, get first job, complain about it, move on to another job, complain about new job, look for greener pasture, unfold hidden rancid manure, move on to another planet which we dream about the bigger and brighter moon, end up discovering it is actually just another moon being lit by the same scorching sun.

Get retrenched, go into self employed business, earn hand to mouth, sick of this life, work as a janitor in a local hospital, complain about job, go into another hospital, complain about new job, look for greener pasture, realizing you ended up cleaning and clearing tables at a hawker centre. Finally turn into dust after 36,500 days that is, if you live to a ripe old age of 100 years old.

So what did they do that we have not done? They; who are ‘They’? They are the 1 million dollar Ferrari owners, living in 30 million Sentosa Cove mansions, enjoying the sumptuous and healthy 100 dollar breakfast at Picotin and then riding on their pet horses at 10am in the morning. Get a cool mentholicious shower at the prestigious Singapore Island Country Club, drive to the Marina Bay Sands and off to get their next collection of 30 thousand dollar Patek Philippe, which they are not actually owning it but taking good care of it until they pass it to their next generation.

They, are the same Homo sapien as we are. All derived from evolution and we were all mere single cell organisms feeding on microscopic nutritional square meals. Some may have a better start then the other, some may have reached the end to begin with, and some may just be like us, and became like them.

Generations of intelligent planting of money trees are yielding fruits of labor for the next generations and generations to reap on. Last generation of intelligent planting of money trees help kick start the next generation to prolong the meaning of life. This generation of intelligent money trees planting will bring you closer to the meaning of life, it will not be easy, trust me, it will not be easy, not without a little lady luck smiling at you.

Successful empire owners had just planted the right trees, with a little bit of luck shining on the choice made. Those who plant Mango trees get a first taste of the succulent sweet juice dripping mango. Those who plant Rain trees get to have shade and shelter to get away from the harsh elements. Those who plant beautiful Adenanthera pavonina get to enjoy the eye candy full of brilliant red seeds, also known as the Saga tree. The Saga seeds are highly ornamental, can be made into jewellery to melt the heart away. But they have to give be traded to the Rain Tree owners to have shade and shelter before they can enjoy the eye candy away from the harsh elements. Saga and Rain needed Mango because they have to eat to stay alive, and some say, you stay alive to eat. All in all, the empire owners, who made a choice to plant the Money trees, are accessible to succulent fruit, tallest and mightiest shelter, last but not least, the biggest and shiniest string of Saga ornament. Who says money don’t grow on trees, it is a matter of choice, a little self reflection if you want to have the fruit and eat it? Or has endless access to everything else which you can trade your money leaves for.

Building a house from scratch is like planting a Rain tree, you have shelter over your head, but no access to Mango nor Saga. Likewise, planting Saga has no meaning if there are no one else except yourself, who wants a piece of the eye candy.

Who says Money can’t grow on trees? Who say you can’t life in a cave? Who says you can’t eat tree barks and its roots? Who says you can’t live without dangling the beautiful Saga necklace? We all can, but most choose not to. That is a choice, a choice you can make and that is the power of choice, we, evolved from a single cell organism, can make or break or simply live the 36,500 days like a king or like a wimp.

Get good grades in school, get a good paying job, fight for higher position to get a higher paying role. The higher you are paid, the more risk you will take. The risk of screwing up, the risk of being taken over, some say, it takes 1 mistake for you to get really infamous, it just take 1 single wrong move and you will tumble from the seventh heavens, straight to the bottomless pit of eternal raging fire which you shall burn forever.

Be a professional, be a doctor, a lawyer, a pilot, a hawker, a flea market store paddler. Being the best in your trade, no doubt you will reap the fruits of what you sow. Be a doctor, be a lawyer, grow your world most succulent sweet tender juicy Mango. Be a hawker, a flea market store paddler, grow your world shiniest Saga seeds. These are all choices, and the choice you make, makes you. The risk you take, takes you. The trees you plant, defines you.

We all made choices in our life, right or wrong, we all deserve it and learn to deal with it. Money Tree made a right choice, Mango Tree made a tedious choice, Rain Tree made a tough choice, Saga Tree made a beautiful choice. There is no wrong choice, there is only mental wrestling you have to deal with. Ever heard someone said why plant a Money Tree where Rain Tree can brave you from the harsh elements? Moments later your Money Tree blooms and you hear the same someone said, you are lucky to have planted a Money Tree, now you can buy all the Rain Trees you want. A matter of fact any kind of success stories are amplified like the colorful fireworks in the sky and any failures are quietly carried away by the wind like a speck of dust where no one has ever known its existence.

Life Singapore is harsh, no doubt about that. High cost of living, high cost of shelter, high cost of private transportion, highly competitive jobs, high life you enjoy, high credit limits, breaking credit card limits, highly in debt, when you can’t even get high.

You can always live in a 3 room flat, drive a more than 10 year old Toyota, beautiful wife, great kids, stable job, enjoy occasional feasts, and be as happy as a king. You can also live in a mansion in Sentosa Cove, drive a brand new Ferrari, beautiful wife, great kids, no job, enjoy daily feasts, and be as happy as a king. We can all be happy, contented, then not contented, make another choice, be happier, be busier, be happy, contented, then not contented, make another choice, end up as dust in 36,500 days. And it goes round and round again for generations and generations.

A typical Singapore starts off their first 1,460 days learning to crawl, to walk, to talk. The next 5,840 days in kindergarten all the way to university, or next 6,570 days if you are have morning wood because you cannot forget the time spent in mandatory national service. Looking on the bright side, everyone has a fair share of an average remaining maximum 28,000 days. That is quite a long time, some would say.

By the time you are in your early 20s, the prime of the prime era, you can no longer ride in your mother kangaroo’s sack, or you can be a slimy gooey parasite until fine one day your mother decides to call in the pest busters to eradicate you in the worst way you can ever imagine. These are facts, and facts we see every day. If you don’t see it, you are the lucky one, I can tell you it is true and nothing but the truth.

As of year 2012, the Ministry of Manpower current statutory age of retirement is 62, up to 65 in the first instance and, later, up to 67, and who knows in near future, the retirement age might be 70 or beyond. It is great for the government to take care of us, taken from the MOM website, during the Retirement Age (Amendment) Bill 2011 2nd Reading Speech by Mr Gan Kim Yong, Minister for Manpower, 11 January 2011, 3.00pm, Parliament. Mr Gan said, ‘the average life expectancy of Singapore residents has risen steadily, from 68 years in 1970 to 76 years when the Retirement Age Act was enacted in 1993. The average life expectancy has increased further to 81 years in 2009. It is a good thing that we are living longer. As we live longer, many Singaporeans want to work for longer. Working not only enhances their financial security in old age, but also provides an added sense of purpose in life. They can remain active while making valuable contributions to their organizations.’

It is indeed what I want, to work longer, not. Maybe you, but not I. I cherish my remaining days.

The economy in Singapore plants the Money Trees, loan us the money leaves to buy our Mango, our Rain Tree Shelter, our Saga seeds. We spend our 28,000 days paying back the money leaves with compounded interests and leave us dry during the end of our life. If retirement is at 67 and life expectancy is 81, we have to continue earning our keep during the remaining 5,745 days fending our own life before turning into dust. I guess it takes almost the same number of days to unmake us as it takes to make us.

No doubt about security and stability here, the convenience of life and certainty of our next generation holds high. We have foreign talents swarming into our little red dot, earning their buckets of gold and return to their country start living like a king in their not so old age. It is actually not a bad idea looking at the bright side. We have foreign manpower building the nation for us, and we don’t have to take care of them when they are in their old age. How convenient is that? We should see the benefit of the influx for foreign talent, no doubt there are serious competitions, but won’t we have competitions if there are no foreign talents? I doubt so.

Crossing the causeway, we Singaporeans love to shop and eat and abuse the currency. Look at the bigger picture, look further from your comfort zone, see and think out of the box. We not only abuse the currency to shop and eat, we can abuse the currency investing in cheaper domestic and industrial properties. This is what they did and we did not. Yes, they are doing it, but they aren’t going to let you into their darkest secret. Well, that is just the first dark secret we are drilling into.

Going into a choice is never easy, who said it is? Having an 8 to 5 job is easy, planting the Mango Tree is easy, picking Saga seeds is easy, it takes you somewhere, and that is your choice. If these top 10 Singapore billionaires did what our parents or grandparents did, they will not have been where they are today. Indeed this can be sheer luck, but luck only goes to people who choose to receive them, who choose to take intelligent risk, which enjoys delay gratifications, who eats the succulent Mango later and without having to plant them.

My heart is crying when I remembered how I came to what I am today. I am nowhere near them, one day I will, or the day never come, I know it may come if I choose, I know it will not if I do not. Everyone was young once, you want to shine at your earliest prime, I, once was a victim of being a short lived bright shining star, having later to know that a star is just a collapsing cloud of elements under its own gravity. There are those who say the rich get richer, and peasants remain peasants. What we should do first, is just exactly what those who say rich get richer, that is to get rich.

What is the definition of rich? Do you suggest you are rich when you first started work in your early or mid 20s earning an average of $2,500.00 a month which is an average of $125 a day if you work 20 days a month. Do you suggest you are rich when you earn $10,000.00 a month which is an average of $500 a day?

Let’s do some simple math:

This income bracket is in the higher than average earning of a university graduate in Singapore, we just take more shall we? Isn’t the more the merrier?

Say over these years, we spend 25% for expenses, 25% for non-appreciable luxuries and holidays, 25% for those money you do not know where it goes (don’t tell me you are not guilty of those money spend on ‘you do not know where it goes), so then throughout the age of 21 – 60, you have 1.125 million dollars spare. Isn’t that great? You can find yourself being an owner of Bishan Street Executive Mansionette, or a proud owner of a Condominium at a highly inaccessible location.

That isn’t bad actually, as you turn into dust after 36,500 days, you can pass the Rain Tree to your only child, or share it amongst many. So tell me, how did you live the 28,000 days after you graduated? Are you rich at the end of it? Or there is something better you could have done earlier, if someone told you how to?

Coming back on being rich to be richer, we need to forget about how some lucky ones get a better head start. Quit the whining and use that extra brain power on something more worthwhile. If being rich can make you richer, why not first start with getting rich? Let’s now talk about how to become rich, action speaks louder than words.

From the simple math calculation, we see typical individuals or couples sinking themselves into this lifestyle. I know it is easy to say cutting down expenses by half, cutting down luxuries by half, or even cutting half of ‘you do not know where it goes’ money, you can have a vast amount of money accumulated. That is, if, you cut, and you will see it when you are almost time to turn into dust. It helps at the beginning, and that is where it all begins. We are going to turn these ‘cuts’ into Money Trees.

Let’s start from the fact that we are all in debt. Education loans, Car loans, Insurance, Home loans if you are married. Or even, Credit Loans, Credit Cards debts, personnel loans from friends and family members. Tell yourself now, you are having a great head start if you are clear of education loans, no car loans, and you don’t buy insurance, not married, credit card or other debts. The basic human instinct, especially in the highly competitive Singapore, you will eventually, one way or the other, end up in this devilish and blood sucking situation. So first, let us find out how to get out of this situation, if you are the lucky ones whom are having this great start, read on to learn how not to get into this bottomless pit.

Many do not have my luxury of head start, I did not go to university, but I do have a diploma loan, which is way lesser than a university loan. That also means I command lower salary, earning a mere $1,800.00 a month which is about $25,000.00 per annum including bonuses.

So for the whole of first year, I managed to save $4,800.00.

I was pretty green during my first job, I took for granted being late for work, not sucking up with boss’s wife whom was my manager. Did perform well though, I manage to increase my department’s earning by 400% comparing to the year before and the two years before. But eventually, due to disciplinary and non sucking attitude, I was fired and given one day notice (actually half day) to get out of the office with immediate effect. I moved on to my new job in second year, with a savings of $4,800.00.

New job, greener pasture, brighter moon, I was delighted and utmost grateful to my Ms Boss whom sees my positive attitude, passion for growing the company. I was paid $2,100.00 a month, approximately $30,000.00 per annum including bonuses.

I am really on cloud nine when I was working with my new Ms Boss, great opportunities, chance to learn skills which the previous company did not offer. Moreover, I was delighted with my average savings of $700.00 a month, which I decided to buy me a brand new car, a very wrong move, a move which I greatly regret within a time span of 1 year. What I should have done was to buy a 3 – 4 year old car right from the start, Singaporeans take so good care of their car you can find most are as good as new. I had from then on learnt a $17,000.00 mistake and have always got a used car since. I took a 10 year full loan which later cost me dearly when I was penalized by the famous bank clause rule 78. Do read and calculate with caution what rule 78 is, you will regret later if you did not at first.

I was given a raise after 3 months probation, bringing my monthly salary up to $2,300.00 and now I have a car, my company gave me a transport allowance of $400.00 a month. With that, I need to work out my budget for installment, petrol, ERP, parking, insurance, road tax, fines (Yes please don’t forget this), extra spending due to mobility and act of showing off to friends.

My new balance sheet looks like this:

At the end of the second year into my working life, I have a savings of $9,800.00. I was indeed having a great time, doing my due diligence in my job, having to own my machine of teleportation for the very first time. Then comes the time where we complain about new job, unfold hidden rancid manure, and decides to move on to another planet which we dream about the bigger and brighter moon. I am greatly thankful to my Ms Boss during the mere 1½ year in the company, we parted with mutual understanding it was a indeed a hard decision to move on from a company which you feels like working as a team, as a family.

So far, during this two and a half year, I managed to up my earnings, as well as I up my spending. This is what typical Singapore life or I should say an average diploma holder’s life. University graduates may have a better start for the initial income but likewise there will be a higher education loan to bear.

Before the beginning of my new job, I went on an 8 days holiday in Taiwan, it was definitely relaxing and recharging experience. The painful part was I spent more than my $9,800.00 savings, which part of it was the $4,000.00 ornamental Fengshui display which I was so enticed to buy in a moment of folly. The moment when you have your credit card with you, the moment when you are mentally hypnotize by professional master of their realms, you willingly whip out that credit card and sign off as if you don’t need to pay for at the end of the month.

Now, I am back to square one with zero savings. Having to think about it now makes me realize what an idiotic pea brain maggot I was.

What I did wrong, so far:

Brand New Car

Doubled Entertainment Fees

(if not for the car, I would not have increased this, well, I did enjoy it during the moment, so I’m accepting what I’m enjoying, but beware the paying for it hurts like fully sticking in a 10cm needle under your nail 1mm by 1mm)

Reduced my Monthly Savings

Used up my Overall Savings

What I would have done if I can turn back time:

Buy not even a Used Car

If you have to buy a car, new or used, both has its pro and cons. The basic rule of time is to not loan more than 80% of the initial price, not taking more than 7 years loan.

$50,000 loan with 2.68% interest over 10 years

Interest incurred = $ 13,400

The interest amount is a whopping 27.0%, thus anyone will be crazy to be making such decision.

If I had bought a used car (taking 3 year old similar 1.0 liter car):

Estimated depreciation and market rate: $38,000 loan with 2.68% interest over 7 years

Interest incurred = $ 7,128.80

Actual interest percentage incurred = 18.8%

Rule 78 penalty at 20% of interest if you sell the car = $7128.80 x 20% = $1,425.76

If I had bought the same used car with down payment of my $9,800.00 savings:

($38,000 - $9,800) loan with 2.68% interest over 7 years

Interest incurred = $5,290.32

Actual interest percentage incurred = 18.8%

Rule 78 penalty at 20% of interest if you sell the car = $5,290.32 x 20% = $1,058.06

Not only you reduce your monthly installment payment, you also significantly reduce the interest incurred. On top of that, the benefit of down payment reduces further any form of penalty related to early sale or upgrade of your car.

I actually couldn’t afford the car and it has increased my entertainment fees and reduced my monthly savings. That is the part where delay gratification by a year or two, having saved up the initial 20% down payment can turn the table around. Impulsive buying during holidays was also not to be forgiven, it may feel great during the moment, but trust me, walk away, if you didn’t have it in the first place, you probably don’t need it anytime soon or ever.

On the hindsight, if I had put the savings and further savings in stock or small business, worst thing I will lost everything which is the same as spending it away. If things turn out well, a little profit doesn’t hurt. It was in the year where 9/11 happens and followed by SARS outbreak where I actually have that savings, shares like Citibank dipped from over $300.00 per share to below $17.00. The opportunity was there but I did not have the capital to invest, thus if I had, I could have made:

$9,800.00 / $17.00 = 576 shares

As of October 2012 now, Citibank is price is $33.00 per share.

I could have retained my $9,800.00 savings, and earn $9,216.00 before fees deduction.

This is a classic case of not having ready money when opportunity knocks at your door. Even if you have no business plans right now, you never know when opportunity knocks and you can definitely turn that savings you have into money making vehicle.

The reset and missing opportunity was a big blow to me, I was never near planting a Money Tree, nor was I planting any kind of tree. I am simply buying Mangos and Saga Seeds which this cycle eventually goes round and round and round.

Spending of funds in consumables rather investments are what economists call, consumer debt. These are consumables are either are consumed or has no appreciating value. Other types of consumer debt like credit card debts, payday loans, typically of higher interests, or even lower interest long term loans like house mortgages are typical living standards of Singaporeans today especially with ever rising property prices. You may be in need of a car for your outdoor nature job, or a house because you are tying the knot, this is the tipping point where you stay in the consumer cycle, and never be rich, to get richer. You can have an older car at a start, a smaller house at the beginning, by not fully loading your income versus spending; you stand a chance when opportunity knocks at the door. Remember we did a review previously on Mark VII suitcase? //////// Avengers Iron Man by hot toys?

The screenshots were taken off youtube.com and we said we will get the Avengers Blu-Ray when it is out? NO! We did not just got the Blu-Ray, we got the 2-disc combo which includes 3D HD movie and non 3D HD movie with never seen before deleted scenes!

After posting at hot toys facebook page, questioning what is the 'pod' 'suitcase' 'sarcophagus' 'oval tube like thing' 'big bullet' 'capsule' 'rocket' 'whatever' flew out of Tony Stark's apartment, it sparks many creative response from hot toys fans.

No response from hot toys though. Money saved.

We especially favors answer from Fabio Murillo: why doesn't hulk come with an anger management therapist???

Comes with a poster tube, will there be a Avengers poster in it? Stay tune.

Very shiny quality box to melt your heart away.

Sigh on the Plain Jane discs... Should have printed scenes of the show on it or holographic characters poping of the 3D Blu-Ray... not going to happen.

Now let's open up the tube to see what's waiting for us inside.

It's pretty long and perhaps IF THERE IS poster in it, it will definitely be well protected against all elements.

We've checked thoroughly, NO POSTER. Inside is just full of nothingness.

Iron Man: Hello there Iron Man fans! Bring to you part ii of the hot toys Iron Man Mark III Battle Damaged Version from the Sideshow Exclusive special. Check out part i if you have missed it.

Cotton (the Lionhead Rabbit): Move aside all, today I am taking over the review. Finally busted out of my cage, mwahahaha!

Iron Man: What the f*ck is this thing?
Silver Centurion: Is that a Rabbee?
Iron Monger: I'm so STARTLED...

Iron Man: It must be a rabbot!
Silver Centurion: I'm so STARTLED too...
Iron Man: Let's stop moving, maybe he will move along.

Here I go~

Cotton: All lit up and ready to go. This Mark III is highly detailed and movie realistic. You can see the beautiful colors and also the battle scarring nicely done on the armor.

Cotton: The Mark III is identical to Mark II for the torso and belly structure. It does not come with the extended belly which Mark VI does, but still highly pose-able.

Cotton: Biceps are very bulky, identical to Mark II. The Mark III is the very last version for this bulky biceps, though that the biceps are not very proportional to the body and arms. Mark IV onwards you can see proportional biceps and also details are more mechanical and realistic.

Cotton: So, I guess you are now a butterfly huh, Iron Man Mark III?! hot toys made this air flaps in such great details you cannot resist taking more close up shots.

Cotton: I believe I can fly, I believe I can touch the sky. I want to sleep late every night and day, in my dreams I fly away.

Cotton: Air brakes deployed, hot toys made it so accurately you might want to be careful not getting electrocuted by the colorful wires.

Cotton: Fully weaponized while in battle with Iron Monger up at Stark Industries roof top, the Mark III was badly damaged as you can see here. Torso crushed, face shield suffered damage.

Cotton: Retractable counter-measures where Tony Stark deployed heat flares when chased by heat sensing missiles fired by the fighter planes. It also help him to break ice build up went flying further away from the earth's atmosphere. hot toys never miss any details.

Cotton: Highly detailed Robert Downey Jr. head sculpt. Great artists from hot toys. Check out the facial blood trickling down Tony's face.

Cotton: This masterpiece Iron Man Mark III Battle Damaged by hot toys is indeed worth every penny spent. The pink belly, pink underwear issue, can be solved by a method tried and proven (Sideshowcollectors.com/forum).

This is definitely a piece you do not want to miss, as it will be great fighting scene re-enact when the hot toys Iron Monger arrives in October 2012.

Iron Man: Very bright eyes, not very bright Arc Reactor. Must be too much flying around, might be the icy weather high up in the atmosphere, might it be I have used up too much energy to cook the barbecue this morning?

(As it is a used piece from eBay, we'll try to change out the batteries to see if it brightens up the AR.)

Iron Man: I wished I had more time to spare, just reviewing the non Battle Damage part of Mark III for now. Hope you have enjoyed so far, I will be posting Part II of this review very soon.

Mark VII suitcase? Avengers Iron Man by hot toys

Is that a suitcase flying out of Tony Stark's apartment during the scene with Loki? Or simply just the shrink version of the Mark VII suit? It baffles me as well as many others. Let's take a closer look at the scene.

Before we begin, I would like to emphasize the pictures were taken off screenshots from youtube.com and I have no rights or ownership of the video. The video looks pretty... *ahem*... to me... But hell... Avengers Blu-ray nor DVD is yet to be available, thus I can only use the screenshots from youtube.com as of now.

I would like to emphasize on buying originals, support creators, always say NO to piracy.

Iron Man: First and foremost, you can see here, we have original DVDs on Iron Man and Iron Man 2. Both of these DVDs are picked up from HMV store in SG Singapore. Once Avengers is out, we will definitely and without any hesitation in suiting up, flying in top speed to reach the store and buy the original Blu-ray once it is available.

Iron Monger: So until then, we can only use screenshots from youtube.com as of now. You can see here, after Loki pushes Tony Stark out of his apartment through the window glass, this 'suitcase' or perhaps shrinked version of the Mark VII came flying into scene.

Iron Monger: Out through the window, chasing after Tony Stark. Making sure he has his armor on, anytime, anywhere.

Iron Monger: Here you can see that this kind of looks like a suitcase to me, myself and own opinion. You can always beg to differ, you brain is yours. It opens up like the Mark V suitcase and suits up Tony Stark pretty likewise.

Iron Man: Opening up to expose the silver shoulder parts.

Iron Man: Shoots out what appears to be Infra Red beams to synchronize with the Colantotte Magtitan NEO Legend handband.

Iron Man: Captures reading and synchronizing.

Iron Man: The what appears to be 'suitcase' opens when it closes up with me.

Iron Mark: Pretty impressive on how it looks similar to the suitcase has to offer in Mark V.

Iron Man: Hey fellow Iron Man fans! After reviewing the new release hot toys Suit-Up Gantry with Mark IV, and also the hot toys Mark VI limited edition Iron Man, what's left to review earlier was the hot toys Iron Man Mark II Armor Unleashed Special Edition. Silver Centurion: And since we are waiting for the September 2012 launch of hot toys Iron Man Mark I version 2.0 and also the hot toys Iron Monger due to launch in October 2012, we have nothing to do now and so let's do some backward hot toys Iron Man review!

Iron Monger: Here we are, the hot toys Iron Man Mark V! Appeared first in Iron Man II movie F1 racing scene. Where the Mark V armor was badly damaged by Whiplash in the racetrack.

Iron Man: From the back of the box, you see Mark V has chrome silver armor and very realistic metallic texture. Sad to say, the actual piece has dull grey color, not a big disappointment, but hot toys might have left out this important detail.

Iron Man: Comes with both extendable logo stand, and also the LED light up stand which comes in Mark VI as well.

Iron Man: Beautiful, awesomely beautiful. Looking more at it gives me such satisfaction to know how hot toys quality are maintained even in the accessories.

Iron Man: Highly detailed side of the portable Mark V suitcase, extremely realistic. (If only Mark VII comes with the flying suitcase, I'm pretty disappointed hot toys did not include that in the Mark VII Iron Man in the Avengers series)

Iron Man: The awesome me, in Mark V portable Iron Man suit. Nice when you need it in case shit stirs up. Look how the dull grey actually made it not so realistic. Perhaps air brush might do the magic? Might not be simple job though.

Iron Man: Highly detail body, hot toys never stop making such detail pieces. Cheers to hot toys.

Iron Man: The back of Mark V looks remarkable. It shows exact detail of what is in the movie.

Iron Man: Simply love the metallic joints, look so realistic.

Iron Man: Mark V doesn't come with the air flaps, which I think it should.

Iron Man: Chest piece is off, check out the awesome details of the inner chest. Reveals the arc reactor in clear view.

Iron Man: Comes with the battle damaged chest piece, sternum piece, and also a left arm which lights up. (actually the left arm not suppose to light up since Whiplash has damaged it, like how the actual movie shows. But I am totally NOT complaining, I am actually VERY much happy that hot toys gave a light up version of the battle damaged arm, Cheers to hot toys!)

Iron Man: Beautifully crafted, hot toys has done it again! Even such details like sternum battle damage was included. The deep cut above the arc reactor is also very realistic.

Iron Man: The blue part of the battle damaged arm exposes the Tony Stark race suit, which is blue in color. Highly realistic.

Iron Man: How awesome the rib area was ripped off!

Iron Man: Whiplash wraps his weapon around my arm and thus you can see the all around battle damage of my left arm. hot toys never forgets such movie accurate detail.

Iron Man: Beautifully light up white LEDs.

Iron Man: The previous two shots doesn't show my damaged left arm light up. To be movie realistic and accurate. This shot below is just to show you it is possible to have the damaged left arm light up with white LED as well. Beautiful.

Iron Man: That's all folks. All in all, except for the dull grey parts instead of chrome metal, the hot toys Iron Man Mark V is a masterpiece which you cannot be missing. The details and realistic damage parts are simply irresistible. Cheers to hot toys again for this wonder masterpiece!

Happy 47th National Day Singapore! To celebrate the nationwide festival, we are ready to have a review of the Hot Toys Iron Man 2 Mark II Limited Edition Armor Unleashed version. On top of that, this is the Special Edition which comes with the holographic forearm gauntlet where Tony Stark first came back to his home and begin designing and building since after escaping in the Mark I from the terrorist cave.

This is where it all begins...

Iron Monger: Let's take a look at... ... (Iron Man: Hey, stop!)

Silver Centurion: What's up Tony, why you... ... (Iron Man: Shhhsh!)

Iron Man: Today, I will be the only one commenting. Remember our last two reviews on Suit-Up Gantry with Mark IV and Mark VI?

Iron Monger/ Silver Centurion: Ya? Why the shhhsh stop shsshh?

Iron Man: Remember we have feedback from our friend Mr Shorty Papa and Mr Attitude Problemo? Saying we are very free, we can talk and talk and talk to each other in the reviews? So this time, more pictures less yada yada!

Iron Man: Showing first is the very lifelike Rhode.

Iron Man: The exact same LED light stand.

Iron Man: The arm with holographic forearm gauntlet. This arm fits true type bodies.

Iron Man: There we are, star of the show.

Iron Man: More lighting to enhance the armor shining right into your soul. This shows the thigh armor remove to make it 100% armor unleashed.

Iron Man: hot toys nailed it again and once again, easy home run. Kudos to the details, quality of make is fantastic.

Iron Man: Wonderful colors, hot toys made the Mark II Armor Unleashed so close to the real deal.

Iron Man: Air flaps deployed, without the air brakes attached, yet.

Iron Man: When I see these following details, I literally go deep into trance of spiritual orgasm. What's seen cannot be unseen. I will now have higher hopes for deeper details and my demands for quality by hot toys will be ever soaring.

Iron Man: Even the springs look so real I can almost eat them.

Iron Man: Life likeness to Don Cheadle, Rhode.

Iron Man: Bicep armors fits snugly.

Iron Man: The chest armor looks fantastic, it fits accurately and exactly snaps in easily.

Iron Man: Thigh armor attached. These two armors are the hardest to take off, be easy when you handle it. You do not want to break the four fairly thin points of attachment that holds it to the thigh.
The whole lower leg is detached and replaced with this fully armored version.

Iron Man: Missed my comments? No? WHO CARES? I'm talking anyway. Air brakes attached, careful when attaching these things. The shoulder portion, which the air brakes goes in, is VERY flimsy. Sound like it might break anytime during attaching of the air brakes, thus use your thumb to press it tightly when attaching.

Iron Man: I am extremely amazed that hot toys include such details even in the fully armor lower legs. Once again, beautifully sculpted to perfection.

Iron Man: Flame on!

Iron Man: I am so astonished that even the feet lights up. Only the unleashed lower legs. This is the exact same leg as the Mech Test version Iron Man.

Iron Man: Some call this operating table, some call it surgical table. I call it, love table.

Iron Man: Fully unleashed.

Iron Man: Internal part of the helmet looks fantastically made. Such details...

Iron Man: Welcome avid fans, here we have with us the beautiful and utterly gorgeous me. hot toys never fail to produce high quality boxing.

Silver Centurion: (thinking) I'll be boxed probably in another ten years in Iron Man XII movie, perhaps...

Silver Centurion: hot toys takes care of every detail even in the boxes. Check out this backside of the box, a preview that simply ask you to bring me home.

Iron Monger: *giggles* He said BACKSIDE *giggles*

Iron Man: Hold the box up my boys! Beautiful see through inner box to see the beautiful me.

Silver Centurion and Iron Monger: Mr Donuts need to slim down~ arh~

Iron Man: This is the gorgeous me making a brofist. Great details, colours and finishing just like me starring in the movies.

Iron Man: I have been training my back, I trained so hard I got wings. These are actually air brakes, and yes they help me stop/brake/halt whatever you want to call it.

Silver Centurion: LOL! You got wings like a little fairy girl!

Iron Monger: I didn't need these wings to stop, I think you just put them there because you love wings like a little girl.

Iron Man: Air flaps, brakes, wings, I just look gorgeous. I even look beautiful in battle damage, dang I'm attractive.

Silver Centurion: *throw up*

Iron Monger: Wait until I'm launch in October, see who is more gorgeous. (pray) hot toys don't delay me further or I will eat all donuts and leave you the crumps.

Iron Man: I am never short of weapons and technology, hail Stark Industries.

Silver Centurion: Hail hot toys!

Iron Monger: (thinking) no chance to smudge my wet underwear this time...

Silver Centurion: hot toys created such great details. I just wish they will create one when that time he was so drunk, he puke and drank his puke and puke his puke.

Iron Man: Well well well, here we have the detail movie accurate scene where Rhode and I were out in the wilderness, tramping on pirated version of low technology zoids.

Iron Man: I love this camera angle, ain't I gorgeous.
