Academic Goals

Short Term Goal (by the next month): My short term goal would be not talk a lot in class, so that it won't disturb the class and so that I can pay more attention when the teacher is explaining something to the class.

Medium Term Goal (by the end of semester one): My medium term goal would be to get better grades in Math and Science, it is important so I can have a higher grade on my report, it will also help me get high honers.

Long Term Goal (by the end of the year): My long term goal would be to get high honers by the end of grade 8, I want to archive this because it is important for me to have good grades and to get high honers would be good and I will be very proud of my self.

Personal Goals

Short Term Goal (by the next month): My short term goal would be to not spent so much time on my phone because when I do I wast time and during that time I can be doing something better like drawing, spending time with me family and many other things

Medium Term Goal (by the end of semester one): My medium term goal would be more active and go outside more, to be part of some sport events, as well as not stay at home. I can put and hour just for going outside. I can ride my bike, play football, swim, and do many other things.

Long Term Goal (by the end of the year): My long term goal would be not waste so much time, because if I keep on wasting time I will not get many things done, and I realize that I waste a lot of time on my phone and laptop. Instead I can start reading more and drawing and doing other things that won't waste my time so much.

In this project I worked with Fayqa because we work well together. The topic that we choose for this projects was "Ice Caps" we choose this because we think that it is a important topic because the ice caps are melting and we don't want the to disappear. We also choose it because it is a fun topic and we can teach many thinks about it, we will also be part of helping people care about the ice caps and not make them melt.

We had a organized action plan because we made sure that we do everything neatly and not mess things up, we didn't find it hard to gather up information and turn them into paragraphs. We made a mistake while presenting because we were not facing the Audience most of the time and we were reading a lot from the bored. We were very good at collecting the facts and putting them into paragraphs.

Volcanos

In this project I worked with Fatima, Roaa, Noora.K and Noora.N. The topic that we choose for this projects was "Volcanos" we choose this because we think that it is a important topic because the people need to know how to prepare for volcanos, what they need, how to know that its going to explode and how to avoid getting injured.

We had to do the activities and a presentation. We had a volcano making where they used baking soda and vinegar as well as a bit of food coloring. They also had another activity where they had 2 plates and they had to put the paper in it wether it was true or false. We also had a quiz that they had to do and we presented the presentations that was displayed above.

This is a presentation that I made to answer all the community and service question. I created this slide show after i completed my c&s hours. It was fun because we helped the orphans and made them happy by giving them the money that they don't have. They need the money to get school books, new cloths, food and other thing that they need for a living.

ATL: Communication

Using Language

In science class we were learning about interactions and how things interact with each other, we had to choose pictures and write how many interactions are in it (2-5 interactions). We had 2 lessons to work on this presentation and I managed to complete it. In the end of the second lesson we presented 1 slide from the ones we did. I choose to present the 5th slide because it had the most interactions and it was the one that I thought they would learn a lot from. The teacher gave me some feedback that would help me a lot in the next presentation that we do. This was very easy because it was simple and not very complicated so I enjoyed completing it. I didn't really struggle but the last slide with 5 interactions was kind of hard because I needed to find a picture with 5 interactions, so it was harder than the rest but I managed to complete it successfully.

Communication

I was a used the communication skill because in this presentation we had to be communicators and teach the class about one of the interactions that we learned about. We also had to use good language and some of the words that we turned during this project, we had to have a loud and clear voice so that everyone in the class can hear it and understand what we are saying.

Malala Yousafzai

Hello, My name is Eman Al Said, I am in Grade 7D/7.4F. The topic that I chose was Malala Yousafzai, I chose this topic because Malala is a great person because she stood up for girls education in Pakistan, she didn't feel getting killed by the Taliban. Another reason that we picked Malala was because she really cared about her education and It is important for us to care about our education and want to learn.

We had a good and organized action plan because we didn't find it hard to gather up our facts and turn them into paragraphs to use in our presentation. We made a mistake while presenting because we were not facing the Audience most of the time and we were reading a lot from the bored. We were very good at collecting the facts and putting them into paragraphs. I learned that Malala got shot on the left side of her head and that she got cured. She also published some books and she has a movie about her. I learned that I should care about school and not be negatinve about school. ما هو اليوم الوطني؟

اليوم الوطني في قطر هو احتفال يقام لإحياء ذكرى تأسيس دولة قطر على يد المؤسس الشيخ جاسم بن محمد آل ثاني في 18 ديسمبر من عام 1978 ويُحْتَفَل به في 18 ديسمبر من كل عام.

ماذا يمثل اليوم الوطني؟

يمثل العيد الوطني لقطر فرصة للتعرف على أعمال مؤسسي دولة قطر الذين تحملوا الصعاب ودفعوا ثمنًا غاليًا لتحقيق وحدة أمتهم والاحتفاء بذكراهم.

ماذا تتذكر في ١٨ ديسمبر؟

إن 18 ديسمبر هو اليوم الذي تتذكر فيه قطر كيف نجحت في تحقيق وحدتها الوطنية وكيف أصبحت دولة متميزة بعد أن كانت مجتمعًا من القبائل المتناحرة يفتقد الأمن والنظام. ففي هذا اليوم، يتم التعبير عن مشاعر الحب والامتنان للشعب قطر العظيم الذي شارك في التضامن و أقسموا على الولاء والطاعة لقائده الشيخ جاسم بن محمد آل ثاني.

الا ما يهدف اليوم الوطني؟

ويهدف هذا الاحتفال إلى التعريف بتراث قطر وتقديره، وتعزيز الفخر بدولة قطر.

درب الساعي

يمثل "((درب الساعي))" الاحتفال بفاعلياتٍ لتراث العادات والتقاليد القطرية الموروثة من الأجداد لتعريف الأبناء والمقيمين بهذه العادات الأصيلة في المجتمع القطري

In unit 1 of our art class we did tessellations, it was fun because we had to create a deign and copy it more than once. The bast part was coloring it. Mine was inspired by animals. I was going to cut pictures but it was a bit hard for me so i just shaded it in different shades/colors.

Self Management

It was a bit hard to deal with the changes because sometimes I had to change the colors and sometimes it was not that good for example I tried sticking on a picture and it wasng that good like it didn't really fit, so it didn't look neat. I had to repeat my tessellation because it had glue and I wasn't able to color on top of the glue. I decided to color it using different shades of colored pencils.

-Bring necessary equipment and supplies to class.

In this unit we made radial design prints, this unit was fun because we got to use paint, it was a bit hard to make the edges equal but i think that i was good at it. I was finding it hard in the beginning but then the teacher helped me. I completed this and i got a 8/8 as a final grade for my printing skills.

Self Management

I used self management because I always came to class with all my equipment and things that i needed such as pencils, erasers, rulers, process journal. Every week i set a goal that I try to archive and I usually archived my goals, and tried getting better every week.

In this unit we learned about ancient Rome, Me and Fayqa made a presentation about how the. We had a Kahoot quiz and we also had a poster. We presented in 5 minutes and 30 seconds.

Evaluation of your research process:

What was your topic?

Our topic was about The Spread of the Roman empire and how it grew. We talked about all the things that the romans did to spread their empire and make it stronger and more powerful.

What were the strengths and weaknesses of your team? ATLs Collaboration, Research & Action Plan

We were good at doing the research and at collecting facts for our poster. We had a problem with some links because they were not working after we finished the action plan.

Our action plan was very organized because we wrote from where we got every thing.

Locating information
We tried our best to use websites other than wikipoidea and we found many other good websites so we used the ones that we found the best information on, we copy and pasted the link so at the end we can make them MLA 7.

Recording information
We were really good at recording information because we saved all the links in case we needed to go back and look at something or get more facts from a website that we found was useful. At the end me and Fayqa Both made the links MLA 7.

What would you differently?

We would have finished faster and organized things more so we don't lose websites, and we would also help each other more because the project will look better and more neat and organized.

What were the strengths and weaknesses of your team’s presentation? ATL Communication

We were very good at Communicating because every day we planned to face time so we can work on it and make it better. Next time we could do out face to face because we will get work done faster and we can communicate better.

Communicating your understanding of the topic

We understood our topic very well and when we presented we realized that it was easy because we understood our topic very well. Next time I would improve eye contact because I think I was looking at the poster a lot but my voice was clear and loud.

~Chapter 1~

One Day, a 13 year old girl named Tiffany was walking down the street with her two friends; Elizabeth and Maria. They were going to a mall. There was thick white clouds that were covering their sight on the way. It was hard to see anything because of the thick fog and clouds.

“I have a flashlight, let’s use it!” exclaimed Tiffany.

But when Tiffany opened her bag it was not there.

“Oh no, we need to go back home! I forgot to bring it,” said Tiffany sadly.

Elizabeth took one look behind them and she could barely see anything except for the tops of the tall trees that are in the forest.

“I am scared, let's go back home please,” mumbled Maria.

The three teenagers went back to their homes. When Tiffany got home, she started to search for her flashlight. She searched in a few places and found the flashlight in an unlikely place (old wooden cupboard). She held it up in triumph and went to put it in her bag. But when she emptied the bag out, she realized that her purse is missing. It was dark at night by the time she realized that, it was already 3:21AM. She opened the window and thick clouds came in so she slammed it shut. She went to her bed to sleep because it was late at night, but she couldn’t stop thinking of her lost purse. Tiffany decided to get up. She went to grab her winter coat and her phone, but she didn't find her phone in the house “I can't find my phone, oh no it’s in my purse!” cried Tiffany.

~Chapter 2~

The amount of fog was abnormal, you can't see anything in front of you, even if you stick your hand out, you won’t see it at all!

She opened the door, but she suddenly spotted a silver thing on the table, so she went closer to find out that it was a phone. But whose phone was it? Nobody knows. It had no passcode so she opened it and called Maria, Ring Ring, Ring, Ring “Hello? Who’s speaking?” asked Maria.

“HI IT’S ME TIFFANY I LOST MY PURSE, I WILL GO LOOK FOR IT DO U REMEMBER WHERE YOU LAST SAW IT?” shouted Tiffany.

“TIFFANY! No, don't go out now it's dark and foggy and dangerous.” Exclaimed Maria.

“I have to, bye i need to go,” said Tiffany as she was in a rush. PEEP PEEP, PEEP PEEP.

She slowly stepped out of the door, trying not to make noise. She was worried that something would happen but she was forced to go out look for it because all her important stuff was in the purse. She will try to spend the minimum amount of time, by going to the last place she had taken her purse out.

~Chapter 3~

As Tiffany was walking outside, fear was clear on her pale face. Her nose was red from how cold she was. The approximate time that she can spend outside would be about 1 hour. “I don’t want to be late because I need to sleep.” whispered Tiffany to herself

WOoshhhhhh WOoshhhhhh, the howling cold wind was swirling in the air as Tiffany was dashing through it trying not to fall. The impact of the coldness started to appear. Tiffany was going to fall and her hands were white like snow. She kept on running and looking around but she can’t see anything except for her cold white breath that is blowing in the middle of the foggy strong wind.

It was totally abnormal! it has never been this foggy before. “Today is definitely not a normal day, I am sure that something is going to happen!” exclaimed Tiffany. Believe it or not, Tiffany was correct. Something was going to happen; but no one knew what was it.

~Chapter 4~

Tiffany started hearing footsteps coming towards her. Water was flying around as the feet stepped into the puddles. The sound was getting closer: splash SPlash SPLASH, as the sound was getting closer and louder. The sound started to impact Tiffany because she was getting scared and trying to run back, but she needed to find her lost purse.

Tiffany started remembering what Maria had told her about going out at night alone. She was starting to have second thoughts about going back to her house because she was afraid that something would happen to her. “Oh no, I should’ve listened to what Maria told me.” Cried Tiffany. (Memory Moment).

Tiffany started running back, but the voice kept on chasing her. Who was it? No one knows. “STOP CHASING ME!!!” suddenly Tiffany fell and she was scared so she started moving back while she was sitting. The sound stopped, so she stood up.

~Chapter 5~

Suddenly, the sound got closer when she spotted a sharp silver knife in the hand of the person, she dunked as fast as possible. OUCHHHHHH! The knife had hit her shoulder and sliced it open. Blood was everywhere around her. She tried standing up, but she can't. She got tired and dizzy that she fainted.

Someone saw her and called the hospital. When she opened her eyes next, she was is a hospital room. She looked at her shoulder, but nothing was there. “What happend to my shoulder? it was bleeding! There is no blood now! and WHERE AM I?”

“Tiffany you are in the hospital, and now you are well again, but we amended what had happened”

“Thank you very much for saving my life, I really appreciate what you have done to help me” Tiffany said with tears filling her eyes.

“Anytime, this is what we are here for.”

“When will I leave the hospital”

“Probably after three days, I think it will be Tuesday”

“Ok, thanks”

~Chapter 6~

It was Sunday and Tiffany remains in the hospital. “How do you feel today?”

“I feel way better.”

“Great, you might be able to go back home tomorrow if you feel good.”

It’s Monday and Tiffany was feeling better so the doctor let her go back home. She still did not find her purse. When she went home, she was still thinking of her lost purse. She was thinking of going to look for it again.

When Tuesday came she went to school. “What happened Tiffany?” asked Maria

“I was looking for my purse and a murder almost KILLED me.”

“I told you to not go alone. I acknowledged that it would be dangerous.”

“I was planning To go look for it aga...”

“NO” they all interrupted her.

“Ok, calm down”

The next day Maria and Elizabeth came to Tiffany to give her a bag that had the Apple logo on it. Tiffany opened the bag and saw a box with a rose gold IPhone on it. “NO WAY, IT’S THE NEW IPHONE 7!!”

“We got it just for you because you lost your other phone when we were going to the mall. We didn't want you to go look for it again.”

“Thank you, you are the best friends ever!!”

~Chapter 7~

Why did Tiffany have bad luck? Tiffany was wearing a gold plated necklace that an evil witch gave her. It was supposed to give her good luck. The day tiffany got it she fell and broke her hand. She tried taking it off but it was impossible.

When the murder hit her shoulder, the necklace got cut so it fell off her neck. Now the necklace is eliminated and never to be seen again. Tiffany never knew what the necklace would get her to. “Never take a thing from a stranger” Said Tiffany’s Father (Words of the Wiser)

“Today, I learned my lesson and I will never take anything from strangers because it might cause me trouble even if it looks amazing.”

“That’s my Girl”

From that day Tiffany has never spoken to a stranger or took anything from a stranger.

Robotics

Robotics

In the first unit of Design we had Robotics. We made a developed castor bot, it was developed because we had to add a sensor to it. We made our robots using the NXT Lego kit.

I learned that it is easier to work with a partner on projects like this. Another thing that was important during this project was being patient because sometimes when we have a great program and it works perfectly, when we add the rest of the program the whole thing might get messed up. I realized that it is not that easy to make a robot yet we still accomplished our goal and succeeded and made the robot go around the maze.

Over all this unit was really fun because I made my own robot and I added sensors to it and I made it go around the maze. I also enjoyed programing the robot and testing it with my partner.

This is my Music Final Project. I played the National Anthem of Qatar. Our Task was to demonstrate creativity and play smoothly and correctly. I archived my goal. I was very creative and I played correct, IN my playing I had some mistakes. But it was fun learning how to play an instrument like the violin. I mostly liked playing the national anthem. I learned how to play it in different ways and on different strings.

Cinderella Parody

Me, Wadha, Lulu.M, Zeina & Hissa made. It was based on the fairy tale "Cinderella". It was fun to plan it and act it. It was related to our unit because we were learning about how to change a fairy tale and make it better. I was Preppy and Zeina was Steppy. Hissa was Cinderella and Wadha was the step mom, of course Lulu.M was the narrator. I was really happy that we acted and it was good. At the end we got an 8/8 for this acting. Me and my group were very happy, we worked well together.
