I've been meaning to watch this channel's playlist with videos about Moscow (Москва по алфавиту) with subtitles and without again. I watched them as they were created, but never really went back to review. My reading comprehension is just shy of 100% of the accompanying PDF. There's just one word that I couldn't understand. However, in listening comprehension is not at 100% for this vocabulary. That likely makes this one of the best possible videos out there for me to listen too, because I know the vocabulary... my "ears" just need some training. They also have the videos without the subtitles. I should watch those too. Also... it's nice to learn a little about the city of Moscow.

I recently found this (mostly) Russian language channel on YouTube with the lyrics of songs built in the video. You will see in these videos, as the songs progress, the lyrics change from red to yellow to help people sing along.

What a great resource for people that want to learn Russian. I recognize a lot of the performers, so it is a good bet that you'll be able to find the lyrics to translate online. Some of the songs might even be features at Lyrics Translate.

On my channel, I have a Russian Songs playlist that changes as videos come and go on YouTube.

I also have a very, very short playlist of Russian Karaoke. I've been working on switching up to actual karaoke in Russian. It's been a slow task building the list of songs because I'm also listening to Russian audio books while reading along. I have been prioritizing the audio books, but they are pretty time consuming!

Russian vocabulary for beginners... This month a new Russian language channel started up on YouTube that is great for new learners. Right from the first video, they're introducing vocabulary in more than one of the Russian noun cases. They've got just five videos at this point, but it's sure looking like by the time they have all 71 steps to Russian... that they'll have some real quality lessons for beginning Russian learners. To me it looks like the videos and playlists this channel's creators are publishing on YouTube are a perfect answer to the question... I want to learn the Russian language, where do I start? Step 1... learn the Cyrillic alphabet... then Step 2... How to Learn Russian in 71 Days.

And, may favorite part...

From what I've seen so far, the videos are going to be entirely in the Russian language with photos to connect meaning, or English translations to read. I was telling a friend today, one of the reasons that I learned Russian twice as fast as I learned Spanish. Right from the beginning, I have spent most of my time on YouTube studying the Russian language from channels that speak in Russian.

The Vinci app created this fun coloring for a mountainside on the Sonora Pass Highway in California. Pretty oranges and teals.

The final photo size is too small to create much more than a postcard at a site like Zazzle. I have some photo border postcard templates in my online store that can easily be adapted with a smartphone photo or artwork such as created by an app like Vinci.
