Hey y'all!! I'm here!!! I haven't been back since 2011!!!!!! That is so CRAZY to me!! It's INSANE!!! Well, we should throw a par-tay. Not a party, Par-TAY.

Okay, well, I can't even get into what has been going on because it's literary been 4 YEARS and a TON happens in four years.

Remember that post I wrote as I said it was the End of a Chapter? (well..it's right below this one so you don't have to look far to find it! haha!). Well…….the new site is up!!! It's called Faith By Promises. Check out the link at the end of the post before this one! : )

A quick insight: Well...life happened and bam, a site occurred! Just like that! Okay, not like that, but you get what I mean. It's been a journey quite indeed, but I'm grateful. The new site basically shows a more vulnerable side to me that I never thought I'd show elsewhere, but it's been so refreshing and quite a journey indeed. I share parts of me that I hope will inspire people to better themselves. I won't get into the mushy mushy stuff here because I know that this site is SO different, but yaaaa I do want to thank Christ, and you guys, who read, and I hope you are inspired in some way by it all!!

Btw, who knows, I might come back to write some more on this site, I ALWAYS have fun blogging about crazy stuff, like Friday Fever! hahaha!! #LIFE, Ah…the things life does and brings!! Well…who knows!!! :) Maybe that's why I like coming back here, I LOVE to laugh and have a great time, and I can do that here and it's such a #JudgementFreeZone!! I love to read the old posts and just laugh - so sentimental and reminds me of the simpler joys of life!!! Well, gents and ladies, Enjoy life and have fun! You only live once!! ;) (RESPONSIBLY of course..LOL!!! but hey…..I'm sipping my tea now, and like sipping frog says, #ButThatsNoneOfMyBusiness).

The End of The Chapter

Hey guys!! Welcome to another end to another chapter. :)

This is my last post for this blog! ''Wait what...." you ask? Well....nearly 90 Posts and being able to write to you guys about a few things I faced was AMAZING to say the least! It's not even good-bye right now, nor is this a break-up of some sort....this is just a shedding of another layer of skin....and a new journey is starting.

THANK YOU to everyone who visited my blog, who commented, who told me what they liked and didn't like, who made me laugh, who God brought into my life so I could help others by writing, and those who were always praying for me. I couldn't thank you enough and I truly pray for ALL of YOU. :) And of course...MOST important, I just thank the Lord for being my best friend, my true love and for now taking me into yet another journey... :)

As God continues to change me and transform me from the inside out, this was the decision that He gave me. NO WORRIES....This journey of writing will still continue and I will use all the gifts the Lord has blessed me with....EXCEPT, I will be doing something even better: I will be writing for Christ and I will be writing about issues for Christian Young Adults. :)

With this I end this post with this verse:

This verse is the beginning of my journey each and every day. Friends, please pray for me as a new journey begins so God can guide me as I write new posts to expand His kingdom and as I grow daily in Christ. I will be praying for all of you as well! :)

This is one of my favorite songs. I have to say that the BEAUTY of the Lord is BEYOND WORDS. Truly I don't know where I would be without the LOVE of Jesus and God's Grace. I thank the Lord for His forgiveness and for continuously changing me to be the young woman He needs me to be. This song sums it all...saying to God: "I'm surrendering myself to you....have it your way." :)

I remember when I used get upset because all my ''bad'' qualities were not changed at once. As amazing as that would be, no one is perfect and that won't happen until the day Christ comes back. I'm happy that God hasn't overwhelmed me with everything that I do wrong and He has taken the time to let me know bit by bit which habits I need to pray for and which habits need to be changed. I'm thankful that He is faithful and even when I fall, I can run back to Him with scars and tears and He is still there ready to make me whole.

Boasting: Is There A Limit?

With boasting, I often contemplate whether it's due on insecurity or any other quality or feeling that is desiring to be dealt with. I can't blame everything on insecurity, but it's always clear that constant boasting about oneself is due a lack of something...

Let me give you an example and let's call this person Joe. Joe will talk about his life. I will listen. I will give advice and we are pretty much set to enter into a new topic....but wait, no, Joe's not yet done, he continues. It's okay to continue, but this time, instead of being 'real' and honest, something takes over and Joe starts talking about how great he is, what he has, what he has done and who he has done it with (no pun intended).

"Oh Joe..." I think "You were so good....until now"...

Mold it.

I'm learning things in ways I never thought I'd learn them before...

God has a way to make you into a better person and He's constantly showing me how to change...

He does it in a way that's so perfect that I sometimes wonder why I hadn't changed a long time ago.

I'm learning that each day is like taking a walk...you put one foot in front and then you put the other foot forward. The key aspect is that you do things one at a time.

If I serve the author of time, why can't I trust according to His time?

Like I said, I'm learning things in ways I never thought I'd learn them before...

One day I'm going to look back and smile...I'll smile because I had to learn to let go of my own ways and to learn to trust in ways I've never trusted before...all for the greater good of becoming a better person.

Hello Ottawa!

I'm now back in Ottawa and I'm not gonna lie but I'm feeling reaaaall gooooddd! :)

I start my classes tomorrow (first up is my law class) which is going to be pretty interesting. Interesting is never boring. I love interesting. :)

So far I have just been chilling, moving in and getting to know my room-mates. I'm ready to party the summer away and to see Ottawa and Toronto.

I have started using my strategy of little expectations. This strategy helped me to have the best semester I've ever had last year. It only makes sense to charge into this one with the same mind-frame...maybe it will bring in an amazing (if not better) result? haha.

Who knows, I guess when I don't set a high bar I know that I don't have as much pressure and I tend to be more relaxed and open about what comes my way...

So....Summer 2011, I don't know what has been planned for me this year, BUT I know that I'm ready for change, I'm ready for laughter, for the courses, for the sunsets, for God to teach me new things and just for some pure pure fun. :)

Friday Thoughts Running Wild

Bonjour!

It's Friday! Time seems to be moving so fast. I'm heading back to Uni in 18 days and I'm really excited!! This will be my first summer away from home and it will definitely be interesting. I will be missing home because every summer my friends come back and we go out all the time; I also get a job somewhere (last year it was at a camp) and they are the best moments that I never want to end. I also have been home for the past 4 months (hence my anticipation to go somewhere else!) so I think it would be good for me to be in a different environment and to experience new things.

Honestly, this break was one of the most beneficial things I've done in my life (oh yes, living for 20 years is a long time). The fact that I made the decision myself made a huge difference. Sometimes you don't need anyone to tell you what your next step should be. All you need is to decide yourself that you are going to go away....and that you are going to go to that place in order to fall back in love with yourself...

I can jump, but asking me to fly is a bit too much.

I need to VENT. :)

Have you ever listened to someone who thought that their life struggles were worse than yours? No matter what, it seemed like their mind-frame is already set to auto-pilot?

When this type of mind-frame is set, it makes them see you in a different light and they refuse to see you for who you truly are. The sad thing is, and wait for it, they don't even know what YOU have been through.

"So how exactly are they assessing me" you ask?...

...Clearly through a judgemental window.

Most of the time if we get to know people we'll see that we might have a lot in common.

I'm saying that we need to stop and think that maybe this image one might have of someone else is something THEY want to see and not because the other person had been putting on a façade, but because it's what they are choosing to see.

It's frustrating. It's frustrating because no matter how hard you try to be the best you can, it's never enough for them and you realize that their expectations for you are just too high.

Unfortunately living life like that is only harmful because one day, and unexpectedly, that image will truly be shattered before your eyes...

Friends For........Ever?

I went to an International School where it was perfectly 'normal' for friends to come and go. It seemed like everyone's parents worked for an embassy or the UN, so when their time was up, they had to move to a new country. I found myself sighing and saying: "here we go again, time to make a new best friend".

The moments I experienced with my friends were always like a fairytale. It's always the best thing when you find not only friends who enjoy what you enjoy, but people who truly get you. The people who had left had understood me, and just when the friendship was being sealed with 'BFF' necklaces that we had bought for each other, it was also time to take our final picture for remembrance.

Now with Facebook, E-mail, Google, Twitter, Myspace...there are so many ways to check where your old friends are, and within 15 minutes you could be pressing 'Add As Friend'.

The question in mind is: is it a good idea to contact an old friend, or is it better to leave them in the past?

1. Watching MadTV: hahah oh man...'Bon Qui Qui'.....and 'Death to America'. I can spend hours, days, YEARS watching this...so maybe when I say I'm doing homework...then..

2. Visiting 'theybf.com'. Oh boy, blogs, gossip..I'm sorry, I just have to check it ~~everyday~~.

3. Chocolate animal crackers: I know I'm not 6 anymore, but I still love them. Grrr screw the calories though...

4. Watching romantic movies while doing my nails, while reading a magazine and while chatting. Now that's what I call multitasking baby.

A massive earthquake stuck Japan today (Friday) at 2:46pm (Tokyo time). It had a magnitude of 8.9 and has been ranked as one of the biggest earthquakes in a century. "The quake was so powerful that buildings in central Tokyo, designed to withstand major earthquakes, swayed".

There are a series of events that have been occurring in the world lately and my heart just goes out to all the people who are suffering. From the protests in Egypt and Libya, the earthquake in Japan and tsunami warnings around the world, it's just overwhelming to see these events happen so simultaneously.

For those in Japan I truly pray for them and I hope that they are saved from this tragedy.

I think it's funny sometimes how it takes something so big to shake us and to let us know that there are issues that are bigger than ourselves happening around us. I just question why. I question why it takes a tragedy that kills and harms so many people in order for us to wake up. If two people are killed we continue on with our lives, but if tens of thousands are harmed we all jump up and act as if we were humanitarians all along...

My friend's birthday is in about three weeks and she was originally supossed to come back to celebrate her birthday with us. Plans changed and she can't make it home anymore, so I thought: why don't we throw her a surprise birthday instead? (she's back home for a week at the moment).

Have you ever thrown a surprise party before? I must admit it's a lot of work and I was stressing out a little bit trying to contact everyone and figuring out if all the things would fall into place. I didn't know whether we could pull it off in such a short amount of time...

SUNDAY...the birthday girl starts calling me. I couldn't answer because I was out with the family, so she leaves a voicemail. Call attempt 2, I let it ring because I didn't want to expose anything...which was a pretty dumb move because by not answering any calls it would've made her think that something was up. At this point I was exchanging mass text messages with her sister so we could finalize the plan. The place was set: a Mexican restaurant called Manana...everything else, not so much.
