In yesterdays paper, there is a coupon for KMart pharmacy, for transfering up to 4 prescriptions, get $100 in Gift Cards. Stinks for me, I do not live near a KMart. But you might! If so, you may print out the coupon here.
Some Pharmacy's will honor competitors coupons as well. I hear CVS does, however have not tried it!

Top 5 Ways to Start Saving Money With Coupons!

Are you totally freaked out about coupon using. I mean for me, I look at them like money and when my hsuband wants to do a clean up and sees coupon inserts laying around, he makes him crazy and you know what he wants to do... he wants me to throw them away! (he is tossing out money, and I know he would not throw away the real green stuff) Even the unexpired ones! This sounds more like a horror movie then a clean up the clutter day to me.

But really coupons are not scary, they can be used by single moms, single dads, married couples, teenagers, rich people, poor people, people on government assisstance. I mean seriously... ANYBODY that is literate.

Here are some beginner tips:

Don't be afraid of the cashier, they are human beings not scary monsters. However some become a bit jealous of your savings, some rejoice with you, others think you are taking money out of their paychecks by using coupons. (don't worry, the store gets reimbursed for coupon value plus .8 from the manufacter so it is okay to use that coupon for item specified as long as that item is what you are buying)
Do you buy cereal? If you answered yes, then start clipping coupons for cereal.
Do you have a baby, and need diapers? If so, then clip those diapers coupons. Don't buy diapers when they are NOT on sale. Use coupon when on sale and save even more money!
Do you buy Toothpaste? Clip those too. Use when on sale or a store that doubles, and get it FREE!
Do you buy Shampoo etc..? Clip those, and use them. Save even more money..

Put coupons in a baggie, like a ziplock bag, and place in car or purse. You don't want to forget this when you get to the store.

Do you know how much money a month you can save on these tips alone in a given month?

This is how much you would spend on items after coupons and sales drum roll... $27
If you had no coupons, and did not shop sales you would have spent around $70 or so..
This is just scenerios etc.. on how coupons combined with sales can save you money. You would have saved $43, that is a tank of gas, a date night, etc... and it was easy. You do not have to be a super coupon shopper to do this. Just a little extra planning, that is it!

Ready for a Diet Update?

Here it goes... this week. On Tuesday, I hit a brickwall, totally cheated. Honey, if you are reading this, yes I cheated on the diet.. that is why I am at a plateau of 160.4. I ate a danish, cookies, burritto, and a cheesarito from Taco Bell! Then before bed I ate a few more cookies! The next day I knew I would blow up and gain 10 pounds, which I only gained .2 instead (that was wednesday) I totally behaved ate like I was supposed to, gained .2 on Thursday and then on Friday still no weightloss. So, when you mess up, you do not lose weight! So my goal of 150 by next Friday, is probably not going to happen, but I am still hoping for 155.

Here is what I ate today:

1/2 Grapefruit, 1 hard boiled egg, 4 oz Filet Mignon grilled, cucumbers and vinegar, and strawberries with Truvia.

I am a boring eater on this diet, and I lack creativity. But I am surviving, I do think it is all worth it in the end. Social life will pick back up when the diet is over. The things I have learned along the way.

Self Control, just because you can eat it, does not mean you have too.
My favorite foods are not disappearing forever, I will get to eat them in moderation eventually.
You can have fun at a basketball game or out with friends without eating and drinking (that would be yummy cocktails) Tea or coffee instead.
Being a healthy weight, and not being exhausted walking upstairs is way worth the sacrifice.

Oh, on Friday March 12, I will begin the maintaining my new weight phase.. so 6 more days. Only 6 more days, and believe me these are going to be tricky...

Wanted to update you on my diet, I have neglected the writing down all I ate method. But basically, I am noncreative on this diet, and am plain jane, which makes for BORING!

Yesterday... chicken, grapefruit, melba toast, a few small grape tomatos.. (oh my.. that is it!) Tea, coffee and water. My sis said to drink 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar and water, so I tried.. NASTY. Disgusting, did not even finish it. This is to be said to jump start diet. Well, don't know if I am jump started yet, but I am at 160 this morning, yesterday I was around 161.4 ish.. my lowest weight this morning was 159.8 (but I weighted 4 more times and got 160 the rest of the time, so that is what I am counting.

Grand total for this round of HCG 12.8 pounds lost, since Feb. 15, 2010. Not to shabby I suppose. I am telling you all this diet is getting a bit tiresome. But I am only 8 days after today left of this boring part of the diet.

Oh, my gallbladder is not acting up one bit, however still planing on losing that body part on March 25!

Diet Update, How I Survived the Weekend!

Weekends, Weekends.... on a diet. Oh, Boy... they are fun. Here is how it went. I whined, (without wine) I was cranky a bit all last week so I scared the older boys away and they hit the road and one stayed at his Nana's all weekend! The other had basketball games, and a concert, so they he was home only a little bit! Of course, the sweet preschooler was home, and daddy did a good job taking wonderful care of him while I shopped and checked out my future mode of transportation!

So, I was busy and that was good to keep my mind off of food.

I even went to SteinMart and bought jeans in a size 10... I about screamed. I am almost in the single digits again.

Sunday: 162 Pounds

I ate apple, oscar mayer lunch meat, 1 hard boiled egg, I egg white. Tea and Coffee, Water. I am beginning to think I need to eat more of the foods I can eat, but did not. I am going to try better on Monday.

Monday: 161.4 pounds

Oh, and there was a Thunder Game last night, and I went to it, and did not cheat... no nothing zilche! So, you can go to events, and have fun without eating and drinking! When you do so, you save a ton of money, so that is my money saving tip!
