Recently I made the decision to get rid of my personal Facebook profile. Why? Because, I just couldn't handle all the mentally crazed, immature, ungrateful, shouldn't be a parent, trashy TMI'ers!

I know, I know, you are going to or already are, saying..."Why don't you just delete them or hide them"? Been there, done that! When you hide people and you have a smart phone, the smart phone isn't so brilliant. It hides them on the PC version but not on your phone. Well, you can't see their banter when you click on the app, but your phone still blows up with their notifications. I have tried turning notifications off on my phone but to no avail have I been successful. So with that said, I decided to just convert my personal profile to my page.

Now, in doing so, I have the luxury of not having to read any one's nonsense! In order for me to see it I have to click on the person's name that I care enough to find out what's new with them. I no longer have an annoying and aggravated feeling. I found myself day to day becoming very irritated after reading my news feed. Let's be real folks...The news feed is like a train wreck, you know you should look away but just can't! I tried so many times to convince myself that what I was reading should allow me to pat myself on the back. Ha! Not even! It just pissed me off even more because I was unable to "comment" what I really thought! I mean, it's completely inappropriate to start a confrontation on a social network right? That only makes me look as if I am stooping to their level, correct? It is just beyond me how people think it's even remotely OK to post the things they do. That's who they are I suppose and who I am doesn't really fit into that part of the social network world. So, bottom line.....Facebook is no longer my addiction.

I hope you all would know me well enough to know, that, my leaving the personal profile world had nothing to do with you. I enjoyed reading your posts and interacting with you all. I am very sorry if any of you were made to feel like you had done something to push me to making this choice. Please know, it was not you. I love you all and hope that you will stop by my page from time to time to say hello and maybe let me know about any big announcements in your life. I am unable to comment on your personal pages because having just a "Like" page has very limited settings, but, please know, I am always checking on you guys and will miss the regular coffee and catching up<3

To the idiots that make Facebook unbearable,

I just want to thank you for making the rest of us feel sane and well rounded even when we are down on ourselves. I will enjoy the piece of mind I will bask in knowing I never have to read your silliness again! I can only hope that one day you will come to your senses and realize how ridiculous and insane you portray yourselves to be to the public! The only advice I have to give you is to possibly look into a shrink. One more thing.....If you don't want people telling you how it is then don't post it. You guys really look especially stupid when you post your business and then tell people it's none of their business...FYI morons...You just made it millions business!

Making Your Fashion Your Own! Cheap!

So we all like to keep up with the latest and greatest fashion trends. Now I am one of those people, however, I like to put my own twist on things to make them my own. I have and always will be that "Molly Ringwald" type from the move "Pretty In Pink". Since I can remember, I have always been a thrift shopper. Sure I own some high ticket items but I find I love thrift store shopping the best. There are so many wonderful creative ways you can throw together a fantastic outfit on the cheap. In fact I have found some high end designer items at thrift stores. Anything from Yves Saint Laurent to Versace to True Religion! In fact not too long ago I found this fantastic Nanette Lepore blazer brand new for $4. The jackets original price? almost $400! Crazy huh? I love calling this "sort" of shopping... Vintage. They call it that in L.A and NYC so why not everywhere else too?

Jeans:

If you look in my closet you will find a ton of jeans!! Some think I am completely crazy when they walk into my closet. But, my thoughts are, in a great pair a jeans a girl can conquer and command attention! Besides, really? What doesn't go great with jeans? I love to wear off the shoulder shirts and fab tank tops with a great blazer, some slamming heels and some great earrings and bracelets.... Do your hair with some great makeup and BAM! POW! You look like a million bucks!

Tops:

As mentioned above, I love off the shoulder tops. You know like in the 80's? I'm an 80's child so this style never really left the closet! What most people do not realize is that you can make these tops yourself really cheap! So many times I have walked into stores and seen these tops at a extremely silly price. You could have 8 of those tops for the price of 1 if you go do a little vintage shopping and get yourself a great pair of scissors! Go into your local "Vintage Shop" and look through their t-shirts and sweatshirts. Pick out the ones that you seem to connect with. May it be plain or fun graphics. Then bring them home lay them flat and start to cut a few inches below the original collar line from shoulder to shoulder. Presto! Off the shoulder it goes! Super cute and super cheap and you made it your own! Bonus.. The more you wash them the more character they take on. These types of tops look fantastic with a long necklace and hoop earrings. They even dress up sweatpants.

50's Pin Up

This is probably the most timeless, inexpensive easy sexy, sassy look a girl can have in her closet! Everyone knows thrift stores always have a plethora of fun "vintage" clothing dated way beck to the 50's. What you do is grab yourself a cute form fitting button down short sleeve top. Something solid or with fun polka dots. Or, find a pencil skirt or a dress looking very 50's. For hair? Super simple! Most gals think 50's hair is complicated! Nope! Not at all! For long hair leave some bang out and swoop the rest into a ponytail. Now add some soft curls to the ponytail. Now either swoop your bangs to one side or get a 1/2 inch barrel curling iron and curl them under. Add a cute bow or flower to the side and BAM! 50's hair! Now for short hair. Wear it on the flat side or a bump at the crown. Add a headband or flower or bow! There you are! Instant vintage. Makeup. Super simple. DO NOT BE INTIMIDATED! All you need is a matte finish foundation, Matte Finishing Powder, a good red lipstick (Can use a fun hot pink too) an excellent rich black liner, nude eyeshadow and a med matte brown eyeshadow and some great fake lashes! The key to great pin up makeup is all in the lip and winged eyeliner. There are lots of videos on Youtube giving you the skinny on how to.You can never go wrong with pin up in my opinion. It's fast easy makeup and you look stellar. Not to mention, that red lip makes you feel very sexy and all vixen like.

I hope these few quick tips encourage you to save a dollar or 50 and you head out to your local "Vintage Shop" and set out on a fashion adventure. You really can change up your wardrobe considerably if you just give a few different looks a try!

Who has been reading "Fiftty Shades Of Grey"? I know this girl has! Even though it is a steamy love story about a straight couple I have been completely enamored by it. I cannot tell you what this story has done to open the inner sex goddess within me. I am so much more open to acting on my fantasies then ever before. I used to completely be the "vanilla" type in the bedroom, but, not anymore.

I have seen so many positive and negative reviews and talk of this book. However, I cannot help to think that those who have bad things to say are just still in that "embarassed" place. You know the place where in your mind you fear if you say what you really want sexually you're a "freak"? This is so very sad to me. If you just allow yourself to open yourself up completely, it can be so freeing. It can also make a happy marriage or relationship over the top happy. Sex is not meant to be embarrassing. It's meant to be an intimate, emotional roller coaster of incredible feelings both physical and emotional. I know there are a few people that will find this blog repulsive, and that's fine. This is intended for those who want to experience something higher than "vanilla". This book really does help a woman to find her inner beauty and sexy. It can awaken things deep in a womans soul that she may have never really knew exsisted because it was shoved so very deep down inside. Reading this book, I felt I had been a pressure cooker of sexy all this time, that never quite boiled enough to blow the lid clean off it!! After reading this, boy did my lid ever blow. POW! Flew right out the window......

Before reading Fifty Shades Of Grey I would have never wrote a blog like this. I would have found it to be entirely too embarrassing. This book truly has helped me a great deal. I no longer view sharing something so intimate with my wife ,taboo or off limits in fear of her judging me. Sex should be fun, satisfying and sexy. NEVER embarrassing or shameful. If you have not read this book you really should. The series is a whopping $30 of sex therapy. It sure beats paying thousands on divorce or a lifetime of never opening up to your inner goddess. I really believe that beauty is not only an outside thing it's an inner thing too. If you find your inner sexy you will see yourself in a whole new light. So reach down inside and pull her out...She'll change your life.

Our community and school district are having to face the very real cold hard fact that bullying is real and it kills. On Tuesday, May 15, 2012 a 17 year old girls body was found lifeless, alone in the woods near our local community college. She had chose to take her life because of the unbearable pain of bullying. I am dedicating today's blog to this young lady and all of those who feel like they are only seen as less than zero and feel stifled by the cruelness that surrounds them. This is for you Erin Foley and all that are with you in God's arms now. For those still here with us suffering from this, please, please, read this! There is hope<3

A Short Note To Erin~

Erin,

I did not know you but I feel as if I do now, with all of the wonderful things I have read about you. I have had the honor of seeing a few pictures of you that your Brother Adam had posted to his wall and graciously made them public for people to see. I saw a very kind and gentle looking young woman. A beautiful and unique person. I especially enjoyed the picture of you feeding the dog a chicken nugget. Somehow that simple moment in that picture told me you were the type of person that probably would have given the shirt off your back to someone in need if only given the chance. I was told a little about the types of horrible things your fellow peers had done to you in school regularly. Somehow though, through all of that you became an advocate for other kids like yourself. It broke my heart after reading about your involvement with "To Write Love On Her Arms" only to fall victim to the very thing you were trying so hard and lovingly to overcome. Erin, I want you to know that your life and your death was not in vain. There a lot of of people making sure of this. Your life has inspired so many to take a stand and speak loudly in this fight and it has taught so many other's to not stand by quietly while someone is being torn apart because they are not what others expect them to be. I know that I am a better person for having heard your story and making a life long connection with you even though we never formally met. I want to say thank you Erin, for all of the beautiful things your life has and will create from the day forward. You were and still are Special, Beautiful, Kind, Loving, Giving and Unique. You are now in a place where all are loved and are equal, No pain and no longing to fit in. I can only hope that one day when I arrive I will be given the privilege of wrapping my arms around you and saying "Thank You"....

Please Join This Fight For Love:

I am going to share 2 stories with my readers on something very personal and very hard for me to share. It is the story of my very own Son and Brother. Both were bullied though in different settings but bullied just the same. They both attempted suicide, though one didn't succeed and the other did. So please, let what I tell you in your hearts and use them as the fuel needed to combat bullying and teenage suicide.

The Story Of My Brother Randy:

Let me tell you a bit about him in the cliff notes version. Randy was a handsome, sweet, intelligent, loving, kind young man. He could have been anything he wanted. Intelligence was something that came so easily to him. I remember him always taking things apart that had a motor or batteries in it and turning it into something completely different and really cool. He also liked to play with Barbies as a kid. This was frowned upon by our Mother and other's that were supposed love him unconditionally. I, on the other hand, loved the fact that I had a Brother that loved to play Barbies and house with his big sister. I never saw anything wrong with that. I was always so baffled as to why our mother would call him hateful names and slap him around for it. I remember being so sad and angry every time my mother would do this. I didn't see anything wrong with it, I really thought he was just the coolest little Brother ever.

Skip ahead several years:

My mother and Brother moved back home to Delaware where I was raised for a large part of my life when my Mother remarried for the fifth time. Things did not work out between her and her fifth husband (which was no surprise) so she moved back here and moved in with myself and my daughter who was 2 yrs old at the time. My Brother stayed behind and tried to make a go of his life on his own but soon realized he wanted to be back in New York with me. He returned here a few months after our mother. Shortly after his arrival, my mother had met another man and moved in with him. My Brother continued to live with me and helped me with my kids.( Shortly before he moved back here I had given birth to my Son.) During this time, my Brother had opened up to me and told me he was gay. He wasn't telling me anything I didn't already know. Nonetheless, I wrapped my arms around him and told him I loved him no matter what.

I remember the first time he had decided to venture out to the local gay bar in our area. I was so afraid for him that I made him let his big sister walk with him there and make sure he got in OK because there had been a gentleman who was beaten up severely after leaving that bar, not long before my brother had decided to go. There, he had met a wonderful man named Ted. I was staying at my mother's that night for some reason, can't remember why. But, my Brother had stopped by to ask me for the house keys because he had forgotten his. I asked him how it went and he said he had met someone. I remember being so nervous because I didn't know if this guy was truly gay or was he one of these wackos looking to harm my Brother because he was not society's take on the traditional man. My Brother insisted everything was fine, and it was. To make a long story short, my Brother's relationship blossomed so much so he felt the need to come out to our mother. Let's just say, she wasn't at all receptive. She began calling him all sorts of horrible names, told him she wanted nothing to do with him anymore. My Brother left with tears in his eyes and his head hung low. I returned home shortly after giving my mother a thorough tongue lashing to comfort my Brother. We talked for hours, laughing and crying and I truly thought that I had helped him feel better about himself and who God made him to be.

Unfortunately, I was wrong. Months later on October 11, 1995 my Brother had taken an entire bottle of Verapamil. This medication is a cardiac med. The pills were my mother's ironically and the medication that was meant to heal a sick heart did the opposite and exploded the broken heart within my Brother's chest. I am not going to get into detail about the day of his death. Someday, I will write extensively about everything leading up to that day and the day itself. For now, I will say my life has never been the same since October 11, 1995 at 3:11 pm. You see, my Brother was bullied too, though by his own family, it impacted him so much so, he took his life at the young age of 19. So, Mom's, Dad's, Sister's, Brother's, Grandparent's, Aunt's and Uncle's and all other's who matter to these kids, STOP! THINK! with your hearts, before you slam the door in their faces and tare them down with your words. Because, there may not be a tomorrow to take it back and build a loving and understanding everlasting relationship with them, All you'll have left is regret, and a headstone to apologize to.

Phillip Age 16

My Son Phillip
His story is of pain and triumph.

Oh my sweet little man. Everyday I look at him he inspires me. He has to be one of the most, strongest loving people I know. Most of his school career aside from high school was a nightmare. He was bullied daily both physically and verbally. I remember him coming home with tears in his eyes, broken glasses and foot prints on his chest from being cornered in the boys bathroom by hateful peers. You see Phillip was special. He had a learning disability, a lazy eye which requires him to wear glasses and ADHD,and gay Mom's to top it off. Instead of kids looking past these things to see what a wonderful loving kid he was, they used them as weapons against him. They would call him names like, 4 eyed fagot, retard, fat ass, loser. Tell him he was a scumbag, that nobody was ever going to like him. I remember so many times holding this sweet, beautiful child in my arms and trying so desperately to stay strong and not cry with him, while trying to make him believe he was everything but those horrible things. Time passed, I fought with the school district and got no where.

Then one morning, my daughter came barreling down the hallway screaming, "Mommy! I just caught Phillip trying to hang himself on the bunk bed". Again my world came to a halt. All I could think while running down the hall was I can't do this again and praying I would have the strength to help my Son. I entered the room and saw the belt hanging from the top bunk and my precious angel sitting on the floor in tears, looking defeated. He was 10 yrs old. 10! I remember feeling defeated myself and unheard by the school. I immediately scooped him up and held him so tight as if my life depended on it. After sitting and crying with him and rocking back and forth I made some calls to see about him being counseling. The school acted very concerned and talked of making this stop but it did not happen.

After this incident, I had decided from there on out I would be driving him to school everyday because he not only suffered the abuse in school he also endured it on the bus ride home. Every morning I would pull up at the back of Wiley and watch him climb up the stairs to enter those double doors. One day, while watching him walk up the stairs I witnessed his abuse first hand with my own eyes and it became the break we were waiting for.

As Phillip ascended the stairs, and got to the top, I saw a group of boys staring at him and whispering as he climbed the stairs closing in on the top. What happened next sent me flying. As Phillip reached the top one of the boys, who I later found out was one of my Son's regular tormentors, grabs my Son's new hat off his head. My Son was trying to grab it to get it back and the boy brings his fist down punching my Son in the side of the neck! I jumped out of my car and ran up those stairs and grabbed the little punk by the shirt and escorted him all the way to the office. The whole time telling him, "You made a huge mistake, I'm his Mama and I saw the whole thing" ! " You see young man, I don't turn my head to bullies like you, I eat them for breakfast"! I think the young man may have pissed his pants a little because he kept begging me to not take him to the office. I then arrive at the office and not at all in my inside voice proceed to scream with tears streaming down my face! I made a huge scene! They took my Son to one office and the young man to another. Then I stood at the little round table with my chest puffed out and my voice high telling every single adult in that room that something is going to be done today or I am going to the media about how much this school really gives a damn about our children. I then proceeded to remind them of Columbine. My tongue spitting out the cold hard truth of blindness and ignorance causing needless deaths. Needless to say, I WAS HEARD THAT DAY!!! From that day on they took my Son's bullying more seriously because they new if they didn't there was going to be a media frenzy that was going to paint an ugly picture about the truth in our school system. For the first time my Son had hope. He knew he had someone listening and it was no longer falling on deaf ears. That little bit of hope continued slowly, growing into something beautiful, something wonderful.

Phillip 8th Grade

As the years went on, I would have to say they got a little better. 8th grade seemed to be the magic year that things really started to make my Phip's feel like he truly fit in. He became very interested in skateboarding. He skateboarded in all his free time. He practiced and practiced, Ollie's, Kick Flips, Manuals, etc. so he could show them off after school. The other skater's noticed him. Before I knew it, he had tons of friends over to skate and my wife and the boys would be building things for them to do stunts on. The kids were even calling us Big Mom and Lil' Mom like our own do. I cannot explain to you the happiness that flooded my heart as I watched that once lonely, afraid, broken child, now smiling and feeling like he belonged for the first time.

Phillip Now

Phillip is now a Jr. getting ready to go into his Senior year. He is happier than ever and well known in school. I still get a huge cheesy grin on my face when I pick him up and see the guys shaking his hand and saying, "What's up my man? When are we getting together to work on that track"? Because, now Phillip is following his dreams in music producing, and a lot of people love his work. He has come a long way since kindergarten-7th grade. How? Hope and faith! Having someone to fight for him and stopping at nothing to keep him happy and safe.

Be that someone to a kid! Whether you know them or not. BE THEIR HOPE! Putting yourself out there, to protect that one kid can change that kids entire life. I would rather be remembered by students who enter the school after I graduate as the kid who changed one life or several, not the pretty cheerleader or star athlete. Those things are superficial. Standing up and fighting for what's right will prove to be the part of you that will inspire and keep giving back. It will inspire other's to jump off the peer pressure wagon and hop on the wagon of Hope, Love and Kindness.

Parents,

I cannot stress enough how important it is to stay diligent in your kid's lives. Any signs of withdraw or depression dig as deep as you can to find the root of the problem even if it means you have to go into their rooms and search for clues. Don't brush it off as a phase please. If you have overcame an adversity, share it with your child. It could make a huge difference. If your child is being bullied, fight, be loud, create a scene until someone hears you. You are their voices when they can't be heard and no one else will listen.

I hope this blog touches as many peoples hearts as possible and you take something useful from it. It was very hard to type through the tears because the scars still bleed on occasion. I hope that things will start to change from this point on. With that said........

So this morning I find myself feeling a little uninspired, so, I decided to go read some current events. I know, current events? For inspiration? Sounds a little far fetched i know, with all of the negative press out there right now with the world falling apart at the seams. Believe it or not reading a few stories that were less than heartwarming, it truly made me think with my heart and not with the mind. It is my opinion, when, one only allow themselves to think with their mind, you limit yourself to a world of possibilities. Thinking with our hearts is more often than not, thought of as impractical. Thinking with our minds is the key to solving all of life's problems. Well, I challenge you to challenge that.

So many times I read or hear with my ears someone writing on paper or saying verbally, I am ugly, my life sucks, I cheated on my spouse/significant other because they don't give me what I need, I wish I had a better house/apartment, I am too fat, I am sick of having to walk to work, I am sick of working, my kids are getting on my nerves, I hate my sister/brother, I wish I had a better car, the list goes on........

Number 1:

I am sorry that you feel as if you are ugly. Could it perhaps be that you are so blinded by your feelings, that you allow it to dictate all that you do? Beauty truly is in the eye of the beholder. Being beautiful on the outside DOES NOT define the word beauty itself! Beauty has many different meanings. I personally love it when it is conveyed from one's most inner, deepest, sincerest expression. From one's true self. I understand that it is taught to us by those who surround us that beauty is " blemish free skin, big tits, great hair and a size 3". This couldn't be any further from the truth!!! Beauty is finding and returning love, whether you love yourself or someone else. It's getting up everyday rain or shine and truly appreciating the fact you have lived to see another day. It's finding hope when you feel there is none left to have. It's sticking your hand out to lift someone when they have fallen from grace. It's inside of all of us, if we just reach down in and pull it out. So next time you are in front of a mirror for the purpose of taring yourself down, don't look. Close your eyes reach down inside yourself and say out loud, "I am beautiful, I am worthy, I am wonderful despite how I feel about my shell." After all, remember, when it is time for us to leave this superficial place and move on, it's our "SELVES" our "SOUL" that moves with us. Why? Because, that's who we are. Our bodies do not make us the person.

Number 2:

Your life sucks? Well, be happy you have one! Get up off your butt and do something about it. Remember, life is what "YOU" make of it not others. There are so many people out there who have been dealt nothing but grief, hardships and inexplicable pain, yet they push forward everyday thankful for the smallest things and find it within themselves to inspire others and give hope. So, bottom line, stop wasting your time and the others that surround you and suck it up buttercup because you have no one to blame but yourself!

Number 3:

Cheating is the answer to your relationship problems? Really? Your partner not giving you what you need justifies the fact that you are laying down with someone else? NOPE! There is no justification for such things. This one really chaps my rear end! I have heard so many people carry on about how horrible their partner is, yet they stay and do not leave. Instead they have their little love slave on the side. To me these people are cowardice and pukes! It's selfish, anyway you deal it. To me, it screams, "I am a greedy person"! "I am incapable of practicing honesty and love." "I cannot entertain commitment, nor do I even remotely know the definition." I am probably going to piss some people off with this next part but those who know me, know I speak my mind! Military spouses, not all, really, really piss me off on this subject. You sit up here and talk about the other military spouses who have cheated while their spouse is deployed, then the minute your spouse deploys, off you go on the prowl. Your partner is in harms way fighting with their lives so you can have that freedom of choice to cheat and not be stoned for it and you repay him/her by hopping into someone Else's bed? Remember, next time you get under the sheets with someone else that there is a million other's like you and there is a reason why you are judged and categorized. Come on people, do the right thing. If you are not happy, show some respect to the other person and yourself and get out of the relationship before you cause something irreversible.

Number 4:

I wish I had a better apartment/house. Are you kidding me? Um, how about you being thankful for having a place you can call yours to lay your head down at night? There are so many people out there that are without that luxury. Yes! LUXURY!!!!! As the days pass, it is becoming more and more apparent that having a home rented/owned is in fact a luxury not a basic necessity. With companies closing and the job market declining and basic needs sky rocketing it is becoming more and more difficult to obtain a home. People who have worked hard all of their lives have lost everything and all you can complain about is the fact you don't live in a Soho loft style apartment or a Bel Air stupidly large home? Remind me to stay clear of you because that tells me you are a bit superficial. My home is not "Better Homes and Gardens Magazine" worthy, but you bet your last breath I am thankful for it everyday and it "INSPIRES" me to be thankful for what I have!

Number 5:

The ever so popular, I'M FAT!( Now this does not apply to people with a serious medical problem that is causing a weight problem.) Well, put the damn fork down and do something about it! I am one of those people who has some excess junk in the trunk and under the hood. I'm choosing to do something about it instead of bitching about it. I am choosing to make healthier food choices and becoming more active. I am not going to the gym, but I am doing things that require me to be somewhere other than the couch flicking through channels while eating a pint of Ben and Jerry's Caramel Sutra ice cream! Take a step back and ask yourself why am I eating too much? The answer is probably going to be that you are self medicating. I know that's what my problem was. I was going through a tough year with some family issues and I found a lot of comfort in food. Did it solve my problems? No! Not at all! If anything it created more. I grew out of my clothes and it sent me into a downward spiral of low self esteem which in turn, I became a blackout drunk on the weekends. Substance is never the answer to your problems. Admitting to yourself that there's a problem and doing the hard work to fix it is where one's happiness and redemption lies.

Number 6:

I am sick of having to walk to work! You jackass! How about you being thankful that you have 2 working viable legs to walk to work on? How many of our soldiers come home from work with their legs gone and or paralyzed? How about that teenage girl, the star cheerleader with a shot at a $40,000 scholarship in the wheelchair, depraved of it because a drunk idiot chose to get behind the wheel? How about that little boy that was born without even getting to walk one step because he was born with a debilitating disease? Are you kidding me? Again, stay away from me, you are superficial and uninspiring.

Number 7:

I am sick of working! Well, move aside and give your job to John and Jane Doe they want nothing more than to have a job so they can provide for their family but every job they have applied for won't give them a shot because they don't have an address or they just are not hiring because business is slow. Get a grip! That job is keeping you afloat. You may not be eating steaks and lobster, but you're eating. Jane and John are an inspiration and have left an everlasting mark and not a human stain like the unthankful.

Number 8:

My kids are getting on my nerves! I know, I know, this doesn't seem so horrible to say. However, if you really stop and think about it, it kinda is. This morning when I was reading the current events I came across a sad video. It was comprised of these mother's clinging to neatly folded American flags at their Child's graveside. These of course are the Mother's of fallen Soldiers. This struck a cord in me. Mother's day is around the corner and these Mom's will be wishing they could go back just one more time and relive that moment their little one came running through the door covered in mud tracking it all over her freshly mopped floor. A messy bedroom, picking up that loaf of bread, lunch meat and mayonnaise. Stepping on the matchbox car that her little man left on the floor, Cleaning little Emily's face because she got into every last drop of Mommies makeup. She would give anything to tuck them in safely at the end of a crazy day and hear, "Mommy, I love you". So, my point is, things can be scrubbed, vacuumed, put away, but wasting your time with your babies complaining all the time cannot be given back. You never know what tomorrow brings, let that moment be what it is and don't let it take away from the rest of the precious minutes you have with your little one's.

Number 9:

I hate my Bother/Sister! Your siblings can be the best friends you will ever have. Don't dwell in the small stuff, trust me, it is not worth it! I would give my legs and arms if I could have my Baby Brother here with me. He passed away at the young age of 19. He was my everything. He was tall, handsome, so very smart, kind, loving and had so much to give. Unfortunately, life proved to be more than he could handle so he committed suicide. This was the hardest thing I have ever had to cope with in my life and I have been through some pretty horrible things. Anyway, my point being, don't sweat the small stuff, Appreciate and value each other's differences. Never let jealousy rear its ugly face. Praise each other when you accomplish something. Lend a hand when either of you need to pick up the pieces of mistakes made. Forgive, when forgiveness strengthens the bond of your relationship. Nurture, each others dreams. Be their biggest fan and tell them you love them even when you're mad as hell. They could be gone in a flash and you don't want to look back and say..."I wish I would have".......

NUMBER 10 :

I wish I had a better car! Hello, MORON! Is it getting you from point A to point B? Um, shut up then, because you could be like ^Number 6 who complains about having to walk to work because he/she has no car and doesn't appreciate the fact they have 2 viable working legs. Embrace what you have, because it's more than what other's have!!!!

Some of you may find this to be less than desirable and I am OK with that. What I was actually shooting for was for people to be inspired. Find the positive in what you believe to be negative. With all of the above said.......

Here are some great tips for the gentlemen out there looking to try to perfect their skin for a special event or just for your daily routine. Firstly, make sure you start with a fresh clean face. Then moisturize! Yes men, it is important for you to moisturize your face too. Be sure that the moisturizer you choose is loaded with skin protecting power. SPF of 15 or higher is the magic number.

WHAT DO YOU NEED?

1: Foundation

Secondly, it is important that you determine your skin tone. Meaning, are you, Light? Medium? Tan? Then you must determine which method you feel most comfortable using. Now there are a few. You can choose to use a foundation, which is applied to the entire face and neck.This can be a tad intimidating. If you really have no clue about the proper application, there is a very informative male makeup artist on Youtube that can give you a quick how to 101 on proper foundation application among other really great tips. He's very to the point, no extra rambling, so he is ideal for the no muss, no fuss viewer. Now get yourself some foundation. I suggest L'oreal True Match. You can find this anywhere. Walmart, drugstores and Ulta. It's very practical and has an excellent array of colors. The colors are separated into 3 categories: Warm, Cool and Neutral. On the bottles cap you will find a number it may look something like this: W7, C7 or N7. The W, is warm. The C is cool and the N is neutral. The best way I can explain how to determine whether you are a Warm, Cool or Neutral is to just swatch them. Getting into pink, yellow and red undertones can be a bit confusing. Another great and quick way to find out your skin tone is to go to the mall at some place like Macy's or a Sephora or Ulta. The ladies at the makeup counters will match the foundation for you. The only downside to this is you are going to be paying a pretty penny for the product you choose. I am going to let the ABOVE VIDEO video by GossMakeupArtist explain how to apply. I find it is better to have a visual for beginners. Foundation is really going to help conceal many problem areas. A flawless appearance. You can also use a mineral foundation. This is extremely simple to use. You can find this in Walmart and drugstores as well. Here is video number 2, an EXCELLENT very fast and simple tutorial from GossMakeupArtist again, using the mineral foundation as well as blush, bronzer, eyeliner and a really cool method if you have some stubble.

2: Tinted Moisturizer

Tinted moisturizer is an excellent way to even out your skin tone. There are many great inexpensive brands out there with an array of colors. This is going to be a light coverage. Pretty fool proof as well. This too is applied to the entire face. I find that this is a more appealing method for men. Foundation can tend to feel a bit heavy and requires a bit of maintenance where as to this doesn't.The blending is very quick and simple with a tinted moisturizer. Simply apply with fingers or brush (brushes mentioned in the above video) all over your face. There are other steps that can be combined with this or the foundation to achieve a flawless finish.

3: Concealer

Concealing can be used on its own or in combination of the 3 above mentioned methods. Now, if you choose to use concealer and a foundation or tinted moisturizer I suggest applying your foundation or tinted moisturizer first then apply concealer to your trouble areas. Meaning, blemishes, dark circles, sun and age spots etc. Applying concealer after, will insure that it doesn't slide off the face. For long lasting results you will need to purchase a translucent powder. The translucent powder will set both the foundation/tinted moisturizer and concealer. You need to match the concealer to your skin tone as well.

4: Have oily skin? Use a Silica based TRANSLUCENT POWDER

Silica based powders are excellent for those who have oily skin. It does a great job of keeping excess shine at bay. Now, this is important. When you are shopping for a translucent powder make sure that it is a MATT FINISH. Some of these powders contain shimmer and glitter on a guys face is not what we are shooting for unless you are into that sort of thing. My suggestion for a great powder is ELF HD Powder, A little goes a long way. This is about $6 at Target or on their websitehttp://www.eyeslipsface.com/studio/face/powder/high_definition_powder Yes the powder is white, DO NOT be alarmed. When applied sparingly it is wonderful. You will not look like a ghost. What it is going to do is give an airbrushed appearance and tame those unwanted oils! The best way I find to apply, is to tap a small amount into the cap and swirl your brush around in it. Tap off any excess and lightly buff all over face with a large fluffy brush. 5: BRONZER

Bronzer's are a great way to warm up your skin tone. When purchasing a bronzer this too needs to be a MATT FINISH. These too come with shimmer in them. I suggest using a powder bronzer and forgoing the cream or foam variant. I just think it is a less complicated way to achieve that healthy beach glow. When using this apply again with a large fluffy brush, starting at the hairline at the hollow of the cheeks curving it down towards the chin. Where are the hollows of your cheeks? Here's how to locate them. Make a fishy face. Where your cheeks suck in should be right below the cheekbone. This is where you apply the bronzer. Now apply a bit to the temples and top of the forehead near the hairline. Now apply to the jawbone area. You can also apply to the sides of nose to create a shadow that will make the nose appear slimmer. Be sure to blend well where all bronzer is applied. Using this method is called contouring. It is going to give the face a more masculine chiseled appearance. I am going to post another excellent video below by GossMakeupArtist that gives you a step by step on men's makeup.

6: Lip Balm

Apply your favorite lip balm! This is just a step to make sure your lips always appear healthy and not cracked or dried out. If you're going to go to all the trouble to make your face appear flawless it only makes perfect sense that your lips look great too.

7: Man liner

This is one of those steps you can choose to do or omit all together. Most men who sport this always use a black liner. All you do is apply it to the top inner rim of the eye. This is going to give your lashes a fuller affect. You can also apply to your lower inner rims. This isfor those who want an edgier look! I suggest getting something that is water proof because if it's not it is going to smear and become very messy looking.

7: SIMPLICITY

Now if you do not want to get into contouring or highlighting and you just want an easy quick and simple way. Just apply a tinted moisturizer or mineral foundation, conceal any problem areas and apply the translucent powder and some lip balm and off you go! Ahhhhh! A tall drink of refreshing Lemon aid for the eyes! Benefit Lemon aid that is! This stuff is great!!!! Very easy to use. It's simple. Just pat a little of this on your lids and under the eye and instant brightness and neutralization of those icky unwanted discoloration's! Look wide awake in seconds! No muss, No fuss. This can be used all by itself or as an eyelid primer before eyeshadow application. Wonderful product to have if you just wanna get out the door quickly. Just pop a little foundation or tinted moisturizer all over the face apply this to lids and under the eyes, and a pat of your favorite lip gloss! Voila! Out the door you go looking fresh and awake:-D If you have oily lids I do suggest setting this with a translucent powder or an eyeshadow primer like Mac Paint Pot in Painterly or an Urban Decay Primer, otherwise product can crease.

This product can be found online or at your local Ulta and Sephora for about $18. This product is suitable for most skin tones.

Here's a Tribute Video I Put Together In Memory Of My Brother For This Blog. When You Read This Blog You Will Understand The Photos Better. I hope you enjoy it...

Today's blog is going to touch base on something that has plagued me for 17 years. My heart has had this black void for so long that sometimes I feel accustomed to it. This week, Sunday to be exact, would have been my Baby Brothers 36th birthday. I would give anything in the world to celebrate that day with him physically here at my side. You would think one would get over a loss that happened that many years ago, but, I can honestly say, "it's easier said, than done". When you are as close to someone as I was with my Brother you never really get over the fact that they're never coming back. I have accomplished so many wonderful things in my life since he passed. I find myself at every milestone wishing he were there with his big beautiful smile and safe arms wrapped around me, congratulating me. There was always something extra special about knowing my Brother was proud of me.

You see, my Brother and I had a very tough life growing up, so we quickly became each others, Mother, Father, Brother, Sister and Best Friend. We did EVERYTHING together. We were like apples and cinnamon! If I went somewhere he was with me. If I had big news, he was the first one I'd tell. If I needed someone to make me laugh when I was angry or sad, he was the guy to do it. God, how I miss him prancing around my house in my old crushed velvet off the shoulder mini dress with a scarf tied around his head in a big Madonna 80's bow, with clip- in earrings & high heels. This was one of his favorite things to do to cheer me up. It always worked! He always knew how to make everything bad go away. I have so many great childhood memories with him. I would have to say my best one is when him and I were living with our Aunt Bev and Uncle Dad, and my brother decided to play Superman. He got on our top bunk and grabbed the string hanging from the old light fixture in our room and jumped, somehow thinking this thing would hold his weight. NOPE! Down he went light fixture and all. Not only did he pull the light completely out of the ceiling but he also blew every fuse in the house! Boy was my Uncle Dad mad! In fact, I have never seen him that angry before. I can hear Uncle Dad marching up the stairs saying all kinds of "Good Golly Gee Whizzes" only it really wasn't those words exactly. I took off running like a bat out of hell! Left my Brother in the dust. Ha! ha, there was no way I was gonna get into trouble for that escapade. He was always getting into mischief. The boy couldn't keep socks and shoestrings to save his life. He was always using them to create a makeshift wire for his He- Man, Skelator and Transformers to slide down. His socks always served as a booby trap for the enemy action figure. He'd place them inside the socks and swing them around his head and release it. He called it "The Vomit- er"! Boy, everyone would get so mad when it was time to get our shoes and socks on to go somewhere only to look at my Brother standing there with no shoelaces, shoe tongues flapping down revealing the fact he had no socks on. I can still see it like it just happened......

As I sit here typing this I find myself laughing out loud and a burning sensation in my throat and eyes. The laughter is my love for him, that is still as strong as it was when he was here. And the burning is the pain of that void I have in my heart. Some day's, I miss him so much it seems too much to bare. Others, I am able to find a peace when I picture his face. I think those are the days when he is around me. I love it, when I have a very vivid dream of him. It is always so bright and peaceful in them. We usually are sitting at a kitchen table chatting about things. Catching up on my life. It always feels so real when I get a hug. They never end sadly, they always end with, until next time. I feel these dreams are his way of coming to see me from where he is now, because, I don't get to have them often. Some people might think it's crazy and impossible, but I believe it's possible. Some of my best days have been after one of those dreams. I feel a temporary seal on that void. A feeling of no loss, just peace.

I am so thankful that I was blessed with 2 amazing children who remind me so much of my brother and I growing up. In fact, they are about the same amount of years apart and they both look so much like my Brother and I. It's kind of scary actually, but none the less, a blessing. It was and still is like reliving the story of my Brother and I all over again. I catch myself at times, asking, could this be what was meant to happen? Were my Children sent to me for this very reason? I believe in fate and destiny. My Children are my fate, they are my destiny. They were the gift of life, the strength to go on after that day on October 11, 1995 when I thought I would die with him. I see Randy, in so many things everyday. Whether it be a daisy, a red rose or the smile on my Son's face. He's always there, I know. But, I just wish I could have him back here with me to share every part of my life.

I have not gone to his final resting place in years because I find it to painful. I relive that cold October day following the hearse to the cemetery. I just can't get past the overwhelming feeling of pain and anger of his death when I go to that piece of earth that is cradling my Baby Brother's body. It takes over me. I always fall apart. I hate putting my Wife through that. I know she understands, but I don't like her seeing me like that. One day, I will get there again, one day.To all of my readers that have suffered or are suffering from a loss, know that I understand your pain, I understand how very hard it is to completely let go. It's OK, I promise. You will one day look at that picture or that video and smile through the tears. It will get a little better as time goes on. You will never completely get over it, but you will learn to continue to live happily.

So my Friends, it is with a heavy heart that I end today's blog....

Oh dear! Oh dear! If you are anything like the average woman, you probably look at yourself in the mirror and the first thing you pick on yourself about is your dark circles and or droopy puffy eyes! Well pick on yourself NO MORE! I have a few items that are reasonably priced that will diminish the dark and shed some light and some bring back the youthful come hither look again!

The first product is most definitely excellent for getting rid of those dark circles! Again another product by AVON! Avon really seems to know what they are doing when they formulate their Anew skincare line. This little gem in a glass jar is Fan-Freaking-Tastic! I do suggest only using this around your eyes at night after your nightly facial routine because if you get it in your eyes it can have a slight sting. After applying let it absorb DO NOT rub your eyes! It will sting. Now, where can you get this and how much? Well Ebay and Amazon have this stuff. Avon stopped selling it. Why? Who knows? They are always pushing out the older Anew products to spotlight the new. I wish they would just STOP that. They have so many amazing products that you have to buy from individual sellers who hike the price up a bit...Which brings to the price. If you get this from Amazon.com $44.99 + shipping a bit more than I payed originally. It looks like it's going for $19.99 at the "Buy It Now " price. So it's considerably cheaper on Ebay...Either way it's worth every penny! This has been my go to product for those dark circles and it is honestly the only one I have tried that without a doubt works!

Now for those Saggy puffy bags under your eyes! I am currently in love with DermaSilk 90 Second Eye Lift! This product is wonderful for reducing that puffiness dramatically and lifting the eye. I can always tell when I'm rushing to do my makeup, after it's all on, that I forgot to put it on. It really does make your eyes that much better with it. You can find this at Wal-Mart and pretty much any drugstore. It costs $29.99 + tax. This too is worth every penny!

Now for a cheaper alternative but not as great as the above mentioned product, is, NEUTROGENA Ageless RESTORATIVES Instant Eye Reviver. This does calm down the puffiness a little on the first use, but it is more one of those, "MUST USE OVER TIME" for best results. I prefer instant results when it comes to puffiness and sagging. You can get this pretty much anywhere even grocery stores sometimes. The average price is about $15.99. There are always coupons online that you can print off to save a few bucks on this product and the DermaSilk. I will include some links to the coupons for you guys.

Be sure to look for tomorrow nights blog, I will have a tutorial on how to conceal those bags and circles using makeup! You won't need much! I have always been very big on skin care. One might say I am a bit of a junky to say the least. I have a plethora of skin care products on the shelf next to my vanity. I have tried a lot of things and I must say, I keep finding myself always coming back to the same products. One of the key things you need to know about skin care products is....Just because it's a BIG designer name DOES NOT make it the mother of all products! I have used everything from Dr. Perricone (Which is in the 100's of dollars range) To Avon & Drugstore brands. I must say I find myself using and enjoying the results from my Avon and Drug Store brands better than all the pricey items I have, now collecting dust. There are lots of "UNISEX" skin care lines out there. Like one of my favorites, "NEUTROGENA Micro Dermabrasion" I cannot tell you how much in love I am with this product! The cost makes it very obtainable. I bought mine from Wal-Mart for $19.99 +tax. The starter kit includes the buffer, batteries & a pack of the scrubs that attach really fast. Now how to use this:
1. Splash your face with warm water. This opens your pores & helps the product lather.
2. Run the round disk that has the pad you attached to it under a little warm water, snap it back to wand.
3. Now, turn the wand on to the desired speed. There are 3 speeds. Low-Med-High. High is going to really resurface your skin. Med. will as well, but it will be a bit more gentle. Low Is more for those of you who may have sensitive skin. Please note that you may experience some redness. This will subside in 30min-1hr later.
4. Start using the wand in circular motions all around your face and neck. Spend a little more time on your problem areas like: Fine lines and wrinkles, acne scarring and age spots.
5. Once you are finished, rinse your face with warm water and pat dry.
6. Now apply your favorite moisturizer and or serum.

7. Vola! Your done! Replace this with your normal face washing routine 2x's a week and you are on your way to seeing healthier glowing skin. On the first use you should feel a difference and see a more even skin tone.

Another great "UNISEX" product is ARGON OIL! This stuff is AAAAAAAmazing! Now DO NOT be afraid of the term OIL. Even if you have oily skin it works great on you as well. It has so many great purposes. This stuff is great for HAIR, DRY CRACKED FEET, ARMS, LEGS & CHEST, among the various other things as well. There are all types of brands that are hopping on the "Argon Oil" wagon, so the prices will range. This product lasts a very long time. A little bit goes a long way. All you need is 1-3 drops and apply it to clean skin AND ENJOY IT'S MANY BENEFITS. My personal favorite company is a local lady who formulates amazing natural healthy skin care products. The company is called "JP Formulations Exotic Skin Products". Just give it a look up on the net and there are countless options to buy. There are also many makeup products that come infused with this.

A great "High End" product is Clinique. This too is "UNISEX". It's everything from face wash to moisturizer. I like that it gives you a bar soap option. Which is great for all over the body if you have breakout problems. That way you are getting more "BANG" for your buck as well. They also have a Men's line and an Acne line. I am only speaking for the original line because I have used this as well as my Brother. It worked great on us both.

Now Just for the LADIES!

I am IN LOVE with "The Balm" "TIMEBALM" White Tea Rose Face Cleanser! This stuff is Awesome. I use this as my everyday cleanser and it keeps blemishes away. Leaves my skin feeling super soft and clean. It really gets down deep into the pores and gets out all that unwanted YUCK! It smells wonderful. Like a rose garden on your face. Occasionally you can find this at TjMax. Which is always a + because you get it super cheap. The full price is completely worth it to me. You can find this online at many places. Full price is $24.50 on their website. This is for oily, combination skin. They also have Rose Face Cleanser for Normal to Dry skin as well as Lavender Foaming Face Cleanser for all skin types.

After I use that, I use my ANEW Clinical Resurfacing Expert Smoothing Fluid by AVON. It does just what it says. I love how it instantly tightens your problem areas and plumps those deep wrinkles. Get in touch with your local AVON Rep. To get a free trial. I think you will love it. This costs $20 on sale right now Reg. $38. After this absorbs into my skin, I follow with the ANEW Clinical Derma Full x's 3. This really helps to finish filling in my wrinkles and helps to just plump my skin overall to give it a more "youthful" appearance. This one I think you can find on sites like Amazon.com, AVON no longer has it. BOOOOOO! This one is all over Ebay and Amazon for about $20

When I just don't feel like the extra after cleansing steps I just use my ARGON OIL. I especially do that when my skin is drying out due to climate changes. I have used everything together and have had no adverse reactions from it. Now if that's OK for you? I don't have an answer. Everyone reacts differently. I am going to post some other lists of drugstore brand items for men and woman that will target anything from moisturizing, cleansing, acne control and anti aging.

This blog is a venting of sorts. Who here reading this finds it really annoying to sign into your personal Facebook account only to read about things that one should not be talking about in such a public "world"? I for one am tired of reading about grown woman/men broadcasting their sex lives, talking about who they are gonna beat up, whining that they can't pay their electric bill but they just bought an ipad or car less than a week ago. The list goes on. You get my point. The last thing I wanna do when I get on my Facebook in the morning to catch up with Family & Friends is read this trash. I remember when I first started getting into Facebook feeling like, "Wow, what a great way to keep in touch & up to date on those you care about". It was so nice finding old friends from school family you haven't seen or heard from in a long time because the miles were far too many. As the days pass, each time I log on I find myself going through my "News Feed" to see who I need to hide, restrict or delete all together. That to me is sad. But if I want to keep my sanity then it has to be done. Now I know at some point in time we all have been a little guilty of posting a little "TMI" but when it's every damn day? Come on really? Why is it people get the sense of "It's my page & I'll say what I want"? Fine, but do I really need to know that you just got done screwing your significant other? NO! There is a fine line between expressing one's happiness & just plain saying too much in the cyber world.

Now my biggest pet peeve is someone who has children acting so recklessly. ESPECIALLY if your child is friends with you on your Facebook! This just makes me SICK! Why in the hell would you write about these things for your child to read? The more time goes by the less Facebook becomes "private". If your child comments on that status then the ticker on the right is going to tell all of your child's friends. How embarrassing is that? I can only imagine what must go through these kids heads. The opinion they are forming because "Flowers" mom can't keep her personal sex life to herself. Then you have these moms that blow their status' up with "I'm going to beat so & so's ass"! OMG! Last time I checked you are supposed to be teaching your children not handle a situation with violence. Then these parents are blatting and looking for people to console them and reassure them they did a great job raising their child after they are 10yrs old with a rap sheet! I do not in any way pretend to be the almighty perfect parent but I do know the basics of the skill. My kids are 19 and 17 and I don't care if they were 25 & 32 there are just some things I will never discuss in front of my children! I certainly will not put it on a social network for all to read!

Now my next problem! People who get on their status looking for their friends to feel bad for them because they have no money to pay their bills. Hmmmmm...Didn't I just read less than a week ago that you bought that ipad or that 57 inch plasma TV? Don't you think you should have paid your damn bills first, then if you had anything left go have fun shopping with that? It is beyond me why oh why, people type these things. Do they not realize how silly this makes them look to those who have half a brain?

My next issue! Who here finds it extremely embarrassing when you can't pay a bill like, lets say, your cell phone bill and it gets shut off? I know if it were me I would be extremely embarrassed and would not tell everyone about it. I can't tell you the countless times I have read status after status of someone saying "If you need to get in touch with me HMU here cuz I didn't pay my cell phone bill and they shut it off"! OMG!!!!!! Really? Do you not have any sense of  "the other people DO NOT need to know that" factor?

I have even seen people post their traffic tickets, bail bonds and court orders. Why do they think this makes them somehow elite or awesome? It makes them look really stupid if you ask me. But that's just my personal opinion. Face it, Facebook has become cable television. It's a place where you can watch, Jerry Springer, Lifetime, Cops, The First 48, As The World Turns, Porn and The Peoples Court. Who needs cable or satellite? I for one am sick of looking at these train wrecks, so I do the occasional Facebook cleaning. If this blog offends you perhaps you should go back to your Wall and read what you are writing because chances are you are one of these people that I am talking about. Oh, I almost forgot the Mother of all things that anger me on Facebook! Those who feel the need to have the Fbomb as every other word! Of all the creative and inventive ways to get your point across you think the Fbomb does the job and somehow paints a picture of you being "Myrtle Bad Ass" or "Billy Bad Ass"? Nope! You're sadly mistaken. It only proves that your intellect and vocabulary is very limited. Which also brings me to ....... If you can't spell the word don't write it! Come on, you are either typing from your computer or your phone they both clearly have spell check, USE IT! They are there as a tool to help you when you can't help yourself. I understand that sometimes "Smart phones" put something in other than what you intended, so that can slide. But words like "coming", "cannot", "gross", "coffee" seriously? These are grade school words. The only reason I say anything about that is because it comes from the same people who trot all over Facebook thinking their poo doesn't stink. Learn how to spell...... Then I'll take a wiff.

Ahhhh, I feel a great deal better now that I have gotten this off my shoulder's! So here's to taking out the trash and making your Facebook a pleasant place again, from my clean Facebook World to your's...Much Love Dani

The Ketone is doing what it says it does! Yay Me! I am so excited to report I am down 2lbs! It may not seem much to some people, but, 2lbs is a healthy amount to loose weekly. I haven't really changed that much about my diet. I still eat some of the "not so healthy" foods along with better choices. For instance, my "not so healthy" choice this weekend was Olive Garden. Yummy Parmesan crusted steak over a bed of Parmesan filled pasta! Who can resist? For desert I had a Zeppoli & Tiramisu. Super-DE-Duper yummy. My choices throughout the week were "healthier" one's though! Low fat, Low carb. I am really hoping that this will continue. I mean who doesn't love being able to cheat on what you eat & still shed some pounds? I also have really noticed a change in my energy levels. It isn't so hard for me to get up in the morning and get done what needs to be done. I feel like a new person. With the energy & weight loss I just feel like my attitude in general has had a makeover. I really do suggest you all reading this to give this stuff a try. ****NEW BRAND ALERT***

I changed brands though. I went to GNC and purchased the Ketone they had there. It is of the pure sort. There are not the extra things in it like the other brand. The other brand had "Green Tea Extract" in it. If you do not know, green tea extract is caffeine. I found myself being a little too energized before bedtime. I didn't like that so much. If you are a night owl anyway this wouldn't bother you. I however, am not. I like being in bed by 10pm sharp. I have to get up very early during the week and start my day. I didn't feel sluggish or anything in the morning, but, I did take that pill first thing in the morning so I don't think I really gave my body the time to come down fully from the caffeine in it. I was worried about becoming a little "co-dependent" on the energy factor of that brand. So I did a little more research & found that this one doesn't have all the other stuff in it. Was it working though? Yes I still lost the weight using the first brand. It was just my choice to go with this one because it was caffeine free & you only take this one 2x's daily. I take 1 in the morning when I get up & 1 before dinner. I started these on Sat. I will update you on this brand next Monday to see if it is as successful as the first brand. I also will post a picture of the bottle of this one so if you choose to try it you will have a visual of what you are looking for. This bottle is pretty unique and I have seen it here online being sold by other companies other that GNC. It cost me $21.95 per bottle. The one thing I did notice about both brands is that they seem to also work as a diuretic. Which is a good thing because it really keeps off the water weight too. Who says you can't dye synthetic hair? You most certainly can! Just grab yourself a spray bottle, rubbing alcohol & some Speedball Pigmented Acrylic Ink ( Or FW INK)a light colored wig! ***MUST BE LIGHT COLORED*** Ie...Blonde, platnium silver/gray, golden brown, etc...You get the idea. You will also need a wig head. preferably styrofoam, if you do not have one use something that will allow you to work on the hair freely. If wig is curly NOTE: Please DO NOT comb through! You may run the risk of ruining your curls. Just move the hair in layers to make sure you are saturating the entire wig. For straight hair you may comb it through the hair as you go. I used the colors, Ombre which is a burnt orange color & Super Black! I added the Ombre to the alcohol first then slowly added the Super Black until I achieved the color I wanted. For the alcohol be sure you get anywhere from 50% to 75% I do not recommend going any higher. I used 50% and it worked like a charm:-D Follow the rest of the diections in the video, it tells you everything you need to know! I don't know about you guys but I hate reapplying my lipstick when I am out, whether it may be dancing or out to dinner or even when I'm off to do a Clients makeup! So, with that said below will be a report card on my personal picks for great long lasting kiss proof, dining proof, cocktail proof lipsticks! Enjoy! PS I kept it real...Meaning, I'm keeping your wallets in mind! There are just some things that are just as great from the drugstore & it is not at all necessary to break the bank obtaining it!

This one here is Maybeline Super Stay 24....

It is duo ended. One side is the pigmented color with wand applicator & the other side is a clear lipbalm. It comes in 30 shades total! However you probably will not find 30 shades in the drugstore or at Walmart. Most of the colors are in the pink tone range. So all my pink lovers (like this PINK loving crazy GIRL haha) will love that option. Does it last as long as it says? NO! Sorry! :/ But it is long lasting. It has held up through a long dinner, and nights out! It smells very pleasant, like strawberries on your lips! For me that is FAN-FREAKING-TASTIC, because I'm allergic to real strawberries! Boooo! Now for the CONS: Like most of these long lasting lipsticks when worn without the balm it is very drying. So, I highly suggest utilizing the balm portion, wait for the pigment to set though before applying the balm, otherwise you will wash away some of the color unless you want to tone the color down a bit! OVERALL REPORT CARD GRADE: A

This one here is NOT a lipstick! It's a LIP STAIN.

It's by Maybeline & is great for you gals that don't like to wear lipstick. It is a very nice wash of color. Not overdone, vampy or in your face POW! This comes in several colors. Mostly in the pink & peach color zones. THIS PRODUCT HAS BEEN DISCONTINUED but you can still find it in drugstores &department stores. You may even get a great deal on clearance since it's discontinued! This is a very comfortable product to use. I haven't experienced any drying of my lips & the color lasts up to 4hrs before needing a touch up! Cons: It's discontinued BOO! Overall Report Card Grade: A- (Because of Discont. factor)

This one here ladies will withstand most anything!

This is Loreal Infallible Never Fail LipColour Compact! It's one of my favorites!! I love, love how this is packaged. It is so convenient. Each side has a tube that is snapped securely into the compact. One side is pigment & other a lipbalm. You just slide up either side and use. It comes in 24 shades, pinks, reds, peaches & browns. This one is a bit pricier than the others though it costs about $11.99 each. It beats paying $40 + though! It has a mirror finish on packaging, so you can check it or touchup if need be. This stuff is for sure SMOOCH proof! CONS: It too dries your lips out if you do not use the balm. Overall Report Card Grade: A- because of the dry lips factor.

THIS ONE IS SPECIAL! I SAVED THE BEST FOR LAST!

Hello, Maybeline Superstay 14hr Lipstick! Oh, how I love this stuff! It's everything a lipstick should be! This one is practically BULLET PROOF! Lips are cheering everywhere. I swear they quiver with joy as this is applied. Ok, not really. but it is that Lip-stick-tast-ical! It comes in a small compact tube for easy carry along. So it would fit very nicely in a blazer pocket, clutch or those cute dresses that have side pockets. Very easy to conceal not bulky. Don't let the small package fool you. There is plenty of product in there. It comes in 20 shades, Pinks, Reds, Peaches & Browns. This is one of Maybelines newest lines & I must say I'm so pleased with the lipstick that I will be trying the other products as well. CONS: THERE ARE NONE! The crowd is cheering in the makeup world! Overall Report Card Grade: A+++

Ah! It's Sunday. The best day of the week for my Wife & I. There is nothing like Sunday funday.Now, what is fun to us may seem like a bunch of nothing special to the outside world. I thought I'd give you a glimpse into our little Sunday endeavors. We always try to make Sunday the day that we give each other & our relationship our undivided attention. Usually how we do this is grab a good movie & a huge Chinese Feast! Then we hang out together watching the movies & stuffing ourselves til' we feel like exploding.The key is, spending quality time together.We don't always get to have our Sundays because her job can be very demanding so when we do get them we seize them. Today didn't start off so traditional though. We had a very crazy week so we didn't get the typical "home needs"out of the way. So, that meant we had to use the ladder part of the day to go grocery shopping & getting everyday necessities. I really didn't mind though if it meant I was doing it with her. We always have a great time together whether it's grocery shopping or out for a night of dancing. You see,

my Wife is not just my wife, she's my Best Friend. I feel so lucky to get to hangout, go to bed, grocery shop, do projects, watch TV or even just cuddle in silence with my Best Friend everyday. After our errands were done, we came home put all the stuff away & headed to our little Sunday oasis put a movie in & ate til we couldn't eat anymore. Today's movie choice was "Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close"....Can you say AAAMAZINGGGGG? Both of us needed tissue.I highly recommend this movie. It's so not a "chick flick" I really think the guys would appreciate this film. So check it out if you haven't already. So, now I am typing this blog while watching some ever so sinfully wonderful "Real Housewives" Haha...and she is finishing up one of the many projects we have started on making our little house a home. There is nothing like a Sunday in my house. I get to hangout with my hair all crazy, not a stitch of makeup, a t-shirt & pj bottoms. The best part is, she still thinks I'm sexy. 14 yrs and still going strong.. Just remember, to take time to show that special person in your life that you still care, whether it's all day or just a few minutes, it really counts. I decided to venture on over to Tj Max to see if they had my all time favorite "Rick's Picks" Sour Pickles & of course I wound up walking out a few bags of stuff. I swear going into Tj Max is like walking into Wally World, you go in for one thing and come out with half of the stores contents. Anyhow, as I am walking to the back of the store I have to pass cosmetics. It's no surprise that I could not resist. As I look through all of the goodies I walk over to the "Clearance" shelf. There, I find, Model Co. I have always been a big fan of there products. Now in the pic you will see 2 items. That's because they came in the package together. I have already used the foundation before & like it. The foundation has a really good concealer in the top of the bottles cap. It is a medium to full coverage. Completely buildable. I have never tried the Luminosity though & look forward to giving it a whirl this evening. I swatched some on the back of my hand and believe me a little goes a long way. It is a golden shimmery color. When blended , it is not the same powerful gold color, it becomes a sheer wash of it, so, do not be frightened by the color when it first comes out. The packaging is convenient & it has a pump, which is great for dispensing small amounts. I think the color would look AMAZING on a darker skin tone. Here's the great news....IT WAS ONLY $7! For that price why not try it out. Love being able to try a higher end product for cheap then that way if it sucks you're not terribly disappointed. Now my other finds......
They are not makeup. I also love Tj Max for their gourmet foods section. They have a lot of yummy stuff. I love the fact that they have a lot of natural foods. Besides that, they are the only place I can find my favorite pickles. "Rick's Picks" are scrumptious! They, are a perfect balance of sour & salty. It's not your traditional garden variety grocery store pickle. They are a bit pricey, but worth every penny:-P They are $6.99 a jar. I also picked up some yummy olives called "La Masrojana" They are a spicy gordal olive. I don't find them spicy at all though. They are just plain yummy!! They are huge too. Be careful though, there is a large pit in the middle. I think they would be lovely in a martini. For now they will be lovely in my tumbly. (tummy) I also purchased a darling button down shirt & blazer to match it. I will post a pick of that tonight as well on my Fan Page as well.                                                BORN MARCH 28, 1995

The little guy in this photo turned 17yrs old today! I am dedicating this blog tonight to him..I hope you all will appreciate my need to make tonight about him. Where to begin? I could write for days about my Children because they are my everything. My entire world has & will always revolve around them. When I first found out I was pregnant with this sweet guy, I must say it came as a surprise. It was at a very crazy time in my life & I was affraid of how I was going to do this all on my own. My Daughter was in her terribble 2's, I had no family around, no real friends & I was still trying to figure out this mom thing with my Daughter. You could only imagine the 50,000 fears that ran through my head daily. I wanted so badly to overcome these fears & just enjoy the fact that I had this tiny little Angel growing inside me. It wasn't until about my 4th month of being preggers that some of of that fear started to go away a little. I was bending over to turn the music up so that my Daughter & I could have our little nightly dance party when I felt this poke on the side of my growing belly. It startled me so much so, I screamed..LOL. I literally thought a ghost had poked my belly! I sat down on the couch for a moment to calm down and collect myself when, BAM!!! It happens again! At this point I realize it's the baby!!! I got so excited that I scared my Daughter. So I ran over to her & scooped her up to comfort her. At this point the Baby is doing all sorts of things in my belly. I sit down on the couch and explain to my Daughter why mommy was acting crazy. I leaned back and put her tiny little hand on my belly & the Baby kicked & kicked. She suddenly had this huge smile on her face I knew at that moment that everything was going to be ok.

THE BIG DAY

At this point all I want is the baby out! Not to meet him, but to get rid of the pain! It was so much longer & hurt so much more than my Daughters birth. Because my Daughters labor & delivery was a whole whopping 2hrs & 55mins they would only give me Demerol which does JACK! But, I kept on huffing and puffing and I got through it. The moment they put that precious little tiny guy under me ( I had to deliver on my hands & knees) and my eyes met his..tears of JOY flooded my face. I could not believe I thought that I was not gonna be able to do this on my own. I mean there is this perfect little life, God chose me to take care of..He chose me! I rolled over on my back holding him in my arms and started saying over and over again..I LOVE YOU. Everything made perfect sense. I was meant to go throughout that pregnancy alone. Everything during that time lead up to this, to him, my Son. This, was my reward for the tough times. I would go back and do it all over again if it meant that I would have him. I would change nothing about it.

GROWING UP

I remember his first day of school like it was yesterday. He was such a big boy. He was so excited and I was so nervous. It was so hard leaving him there. I tried so hard not to cry but a few tears snuck out while I was hugging him. He saw them. He put his little hands on my face gave me a kiss and said " Mommy, I'm a big boy! It's ok!" Here's this little man consoling me when it should be the other way around. Then came intermediate school. They were not the best years of his life. He was bullied badly. It broke my heart. It never broke his ability to love, accept and respect others. Even after all the broken glasses and bruises. He amazed me how he kept facing each day. I learned so much from him during that period. Then came Jr. High. He finally started making friends and found what he loved, SKATEBOARDING! He really started to come out of his shell. Now there is High School. This time period, my little man has started to become a young man. Oh, how time has gone by so quickly.The days of Err Err trucks, Woody and Buzz Lightyear are no longer. Now it's girls, car keys, producing music and getting ready for college. Don't get me wrong I love watching him grow as a young man but I miss the little guy that used to sing "Jingle Bells" all wrong. Instead of "Oh what fun it is to ride" It was " Oh what fun and a wisty ride" or when he used to run into the kitchen reciting "Little Rascals". I miss walking into the living room and him sitting on the couch spread eagle with nothing on but his sisters dress up skirt and old farmer rubber boots eating a bananna watching cartoons. I miss, reading bedtime stories and holding him while he sleeps peacefully. Most of all I miss hearing not " I LOVE YOU MOMMY" but " I LOVE JOO MOMMY"! I hold every sweet precious memory in a safe place, my heart...Even the time I came home from work to find him and his sister playing in a mud puddle covered in it, from head to toe! (See next picture)

I wouldn't trade those moments for anyone or anything.

To My AngelBoy,

YOU CHANGED MY LIFE! I am so glad I was given the privilage to hold your heart in mine and guide you through each milestone. You have become so much more than I imagined at this point in your life. I am so incredibly proud of you and how gracefully you have taken flight. As I watch you spread your wings and fly I am speechless. You amaze me everyday with your incredible talents, your ability to love unconditionally. Your undying loyalty to those you love, is that of which, others should learn from. I would like to press stop for the next year and keep you close, but I know, I can't. I know that I have to let you fly and find your way and open doors to your future. Wherever each door takes you, know that I will always be waiting on the otherside to cheer you on. Keep being you, never alter yourself if you believe it will not be for the greater good. Continue to be honest with yourself and others. Hold on to one of your finest quality....Your ability to NEVER GIVE UP HOPE! It is an inspiration to me. I watch you always finding the good in people even when they may not deserve it. It reminds me everyday that there are angels that walk among us and I believe you are one of them. I love you Phillip Alexander with all my heart and couldn't be more proud to call you my Son!

Todays blog will be the age old battle....Expensive vs Inexpensive.

I personally love a great bargain and am certainly not a LABLE WHORE.(.smiles) Yes from time to time there are some things that are worth paying the extra $ for. Today, however I am challenging that. We all know that CHANEL is one of the worlds most coveted lables whether it be their clothing, handbags, shoes, etc. I own a few things from the house of CHANEL & this foundation being one of them. I have the CHANEL PRO Lumiere in No. 30 and it cost me $65 for 1Fl oz. Now, to some, $65 for a bottle of foundation may not seem unreasonable. For me, from time to time being a makeup artist I have to purchase some "high end" products. How do I feel about CHANEL ProLumiere? I am not sorry I purchased it at all. I love the texture, which is very silky & the finish is dewy. It has excellent coverage & love the spf of 15. The packaging is very lovely & sturdy as well. Bonus: it has a pump so you never waste product. I found this foundation to have a very good lasting capability & photographs very well. The only cons I have for this product is, I wish it looked just a tad bit more natural & of course the pricing. The pricing does not at all make this obtainable for every gal out there. Which Brings me to AVONS HEALTHY MAKEUP FOUNDATIONS!

AVON HEALTHY MAKEUP FOUNDATION in my opinion is very comparable to CHANEL ProLumiere!! I am & always have been a very big fan of Avons products. I am especially in love with their Healthy Makeup line! I find it to be very similar to CHANEL in many ways...It has the same dewy glowing finish, glides on just as smoothly, long lasting & photographs like it's your skin. There are more pro's to Avons though! 1. The price is a lot cheaper...If you go to Avons outlet right now you can obtain a bottle for $3.99 YES!! That is not a typo! At that price you can can afford to use it everyday! 2. There is a larger variety of shades to choose from. 3. You can obtain several samples so that you can choose your own shade. Just get in touch with your local Avon Rep. without feeling the pressure of a makeup counter girl. I know some can make you feel a bit uncomfortable with their glare if you are not looking like a million bucks that day. This way, you can match it in the privacy of your own home without a glaring eye & passerby shoppers. 4. It looks NATURAL from the from the GITTY UP! It is effortless blending! The smell is amazing too! I honestly get more compliments using this foundation than I do CHANEL. The only cons is that it's spf is 10 not 15 , but that's ok as long is there is one. The big BOOOOO.....I believe it is being discontinued! However, DO NOT GIVE UP HOPE! I noticed that there are a lot of people on Amazon.com selling the entire line. So it should be readily available even after your Avon Rep no longer sells it. There is no pump. Plus is, the product does not come pouring out. I have to say that this foundation is one of my best picks to try to date. I couldn't be more pleased. So, head out to the internet world and find a AVON Rep in your area so that you can give this gem a whirl... See....if you just look a little you can find that pot of gold at the end of the makeup rainbow..hehe

HELLO EVERYONE & WELCOME!

This blog will be a " everything but the kitchen sink" kind of blog. I want this to be a place where everyone can find something useful or inspiring.

Firstly, let me start by telling you a little about myself. I am a happily married woman of 14yrs. I have 2 amazing children, A Daughter who is 19yrs old and she is currently a struggling college student studying criminal justice. A Son 17yrs old currently a junior in high school who aspires to become a Music Producer. My "CANDY" if you will is all things fashion! I love hair, makeup, shoes, clothing etc...My profession is Makeup. I am a Freelance Makeup Artist & love everything about my job. I was born to do this. How many people can actually say they are going to their job day in and day out and having a blast doing it? I used to be one of those people who worked a job and dreaded going. Working it just because it "paid the bills". I am lucky enough to have an amazing wife {I am gay} that loves & supports my dreams so much in fact it allowed me to go for them! So, here I am blogging away on my first blog, I have a Youtube Channel with a Partnership that caters to wigs. Yes! I wear wigs! What can I say,,,,They are A FUN FABULOUS WAY to change your look completely! I also love giving advice. I take great comfort in knowing I helped someone out by saying a few words. I love to dance. I love Scotch & Tonic on the weekends with a twist of lime. Mostly I love being allowed to be me :-P

I named this blog " Make Up It Matters" because it does matter in every single way, Whether you are talking about physical makeup or making up with someone or for something. I believe everything and everyone is linked in some way, shape or form. I want this to be a place where we all can find the fun in our connections. I love meeting new people & giving pointers on everything from A to Z.
