Adventures with Coconut Oil

Hello! Sorry for the (not so) brief hiatus. Anyways...

Everyone (pinterest) is going on about coconut oil and how it's basically the second coming of Christ and how it will solve all the world's problems. So, in absence of anything better to do, I got myself some and decided to try it out.

What I used it on:

Hair
Legs
Face
Boots
Hands
Teeth (?)

Hair

What you'll need:

Coconut oil (thank you, Captain Obvious)
Towel
Comb (if you have straight hair, you lucky bitch)
Clothes you won't mind getting oil on or just go naked (hey, now)
Shampoo
Conditioner
A bit of time (2-3 hours or overnight)
Shower cap (if you're going to be daring and leave it in overnight)

What to do:

Using my massive jar of oil (~$16 - $17 at Sam's Club), I kept spooning out oil and melting it in my hands (yes, you really can melt this in your hands) by rubbing them back and forth.
When it melted, I gently massaged it into my roots and then down to the ends. I made sure my hair was well saturated in it. (If you have straight hair, you can comb it through)
I let it sit for about 2 hours. I don't flat iron or blow dry my hair a lot, so my hair is in pretty good health, but if you do straighten it or attack it with heat a lot, you should leave it in longer.
Once was all said and done, I shampooed my hair about three times, until the shampoo started lathering up. (I used this, which is what swimmers use but it works really, really well (just don't use it everyday because it will kill your hair))
Condition, condition, condition. Seriously, especially if you're obsessed with conditioner like I am or have curly hair.
Style as usual!
Voila! You look fabulous, darling and may I say... oooh, shiny!!

Legs

What you'll need:

Coconut oil
Razor
Cup of warm/hot water

What to do:

Melt with your hands then moisturize your legs with the oil, especially if you've embraced your Yeti side since it's January and freezing cold out (me!).
Using more oil, melt and rub it all over
Shave (rising your razor frequently with the warm water)
Once you're looking somewhat like a human, massage more oil into your legs as a moisturizer. If you got any cuts from your razor, this will help them to stop bleeding, too.
Pull your hands away from your legs because yes, they are silky smooth.

Face

What to do:

Melt it in your hands
Rub it all over your face, avoiding your eyes

Boots

What you'll need:

Leather boots
Cotton rags
...Coconut oil
A microwave safe dish to melt it in
Microwave

What to do:

Melt some* oil in the microwave - about 30 - 45 seconds
Dip your rag into the oil
Buff into the leather

*You can determine how much oil you need. I melted about a tablespoon at first which only did one half of my boots, so I had to melt more. But use your good judgement.

Hands

I did all of the above while my hair was moisturizing, so my hands are seriously soft and my nails are shiny and nourished.

Teeth

So I was researching this thing called oil pulling, which basically means that you use coconut oil instead of regular mouthwash, only it takes like 100 times longer to do. I'm thinking about doing it, but I haven't yet.

Making Chocolate "Bark"

Hi!! I hope everyone had a great holiday season!

Today, I'm going to switch it up and show you how to make bark, which is this delicious chocolate goody. Just in time to make for New Years before we all start our diets. This is great because you can put whatever you want in it.

What you'll need:

Cookie sheet with lips
Parchment paper or waxed paper
Spatula
2 bags of chocolate chips (approx. 11.5 oz each or the equivalent of 4 cups)
Stuff to put in the bark. I used:

Pretzel sticks
Peanuts
Peanut M&Ms
Regular M&Ms

Empty shelf in the fridge

Double boiler - deep pot and shallow pot that are the same circumference.

Step 1:

Start by making a "double boiler." This is wicked easy. All you need is a big, deep pot and a shallower pot that fits on top.

Fill the large pot halfway with water. Bring to a boil with the shallower pot on the top to heat up.

Step 2:

While the water is heating up, prepare your stuff. In a bowl, I mixed all the goodies together; the M&Ms and peanuts, and pretzels. I also lined the cookie sheet with parchment paper. This step will be important later.

Step 3:

Once the water is boiling, empty both bags of chips into the shallow pan on top, stirring the chips so that they melt evenly.

Step 4:

Once the chips have completely melted, pour the chocolate into the pan, spreading and evenly distributing it. Save a little chocolate in the pot for step 7.

Step 5:

Immediately after step 4, drop your mixture of goodies into the chocolate. The chocolate starts to harden fast, so you have to be quick.

Step 6: (optional)

If you did not put enough stuff in the bowl, you can just put more stuff into the chocolate. I used half a (big) bag of both M&Ms, 3/4 of a can of peanuts and a couple handfuls of pretzel sticks. I did break the pretzel sticks up into halves or thirds because they are so long.

Step 7:

Once you have finalized you placement of goodies, use the left over chocolate from step 4 to drizzle over the top to hold everything in.

Step 8:

Put it in the fridge and let harden for an hour or so and then break into pieces. If you value your hands, do not try to use a knife to do this. Use clean hands to do this.

10 Dollar Mall!

If you're a reader of my blog, then you'll know that I love a bargain. If a deal can be found, I can find it. I'm a girl, and I love clothes. I love to shop and I get a high when I find a hot top or the perfect pair of jeans. One day I was searching for cheap clothing websites - and I don't mean cheap quality, just cheap prices. I stumbled upon 10 Dollar Mall.
What?! Everything is $10 bucks or less! That is my kind of shopping. So I started looking around the site, and they sell everything! Juniors clothes, plus sizes (perfect for me!), mens, kids and accessories! Have I died and gone to heaven? Yes, yes I have.

I have bought so much from 10 Dollar Mall that I get a package at least once a week. They always have new items and the stuff just gets better and better!

Now, I know what you're thinking: cheap prices mean cheap quality. WRONG. You are so wrong. 10 Dollar Mall clothes are not only super cute and affordable, but they're high quality, too! I beat the crap out of clothes, wearing them, washing them, throwing in the dryer, but not once has one thing I have bought from 10 Dollar Mall been destroyed or shrunk or even look worn. All of my stuff looks brand new, including my favorite shirt from there that I wear at least once a week and wash every time I wear it. The quality is out of this world! Wash it, throw it in the dryer and put it on! When my dogs jump on me, I always expect to get pulls or holes in my clothes, but never has anything I have bought from 10 Dollar Mall ever gotten destroyed by my two dogs.

There clothes are so cute! Just tonight I was shopping around when I came across the cutest cardigans! I am a sucker for a cardigan and these were adorable! I mean, come on, it's pink AND sparkly! I am definitely buying this dress! How cute is that? Perfect for going out to dinner with your beau or hanging out with the girls! This skirt is definitely coming home to my house. I'll feel like a ballerina in it. :) How fun is this sequin dress? It's pink and sparkly, one of my first rules of fashion. ;)

Becoming Poison Ivy (Halloween costume)

So this Halloween season, my team and I decided that we were going to go as DC super hero's. Being late to the party, I was left with Batgirl, or Catgirl or some other lame "good girls." It's Halloween, that means dressing like a hoe and getting away with it. So let's begin the hoe-ification of a good girl.

Inspiration:

I googled her, and took my inspiration from every interpretation that I found. I saw LEAVES. Tons and tons of leaves.

My costume consists of and what you'll need

*A TON of fake leaves (I had to make several trips to the buck store)
*A corset
*Some spandex shorts
*Green ribbon
*Black tights
*Glue gun and glue sticks
*Sissors
* Loose glitter - green
*Spray glue
*Glitter glue - green
*Anything green I could get my hands on.
*Dollar store place mat - black
*Black headband

Lets start with the simple and one of the most time consuming: taking apart the leaves.

Step 1 -
Depending on where and what your leaves look like, chances are they're on some plastic sword things that you can poke someone's eye out with. You don't need that junk.

There are two ways you can do this (I used both):

1. Cut the leaves off at the base of the leaf, leaving the plastic backing on. This makes them stiff and pop more, so you'll have more of a 3D effect.

2. Gently peel the leaves off the stems.

Step 2 -optional

I thought it would be cool if I individually painted the leaves with the glitter glue, and I realized what a waste of time it was once I started to put it together. You can paint them if you'd like, but you'll see later why you don't have to.

Step 3 - Corset

I have a black corset because I wanted my PI to be a little bit edgier than normal and black is the easiest to come by.

I had no plan for placing the leaves. I didn't want a pattern so I just started place the large leaves all over it, using my hot glue gun. Then I took the smaller leaves and glued them to the spots that the large leaves couldn't cover.

Then I took my green glitter glue and using my sponge brush, I just wiped it all over it.

It's hard to see the sparkles in the pictures.

Complete on both sides

Lace the back with the green ribbon. *Use the original ribbon that came with the corset as the guide to how much you'll need. It's better to have more than not enough. You can always cut it.

Step 4 - Shorts

For the bottoms, I just used a black pair of spandex shorts I had and glued a few leaves to it and then attacked them with my glitter glue.

Step 5 - Glitter tights

Aerosol spray glue

and

Loose glitter

Take a pair of tights in your choice of color. Using newspaper or anything you can bunch up, fill the legs of the tights with it so the tights don't stick together.

*Spray the tights with the glue and shake on glitter. Cover with coat of glue

*Let dry one hour

*flip over and do the other side.

*Let dry

Step 6:

I made shoes, a clutch and a headband to go with it.

The shoes are just cheap black flats from walmart

The clutch is a placemat from the dollar store. :) I'm going to put a magnetic strip on the inside so it will stay closed and probably a strap so it's a wristlet. Better for dancing, my dears.

The headband is a cheap black sparkly headband I got on the dollar rack at Joann's. I used my glitter glue and then hot glued some smaller flowers to it.

DIY Fake Tan

Hey! So I' m pale, really pale, and I don't like tanning beds or anything. Plus I'm on a budget so... I made fake tan.
What you'll need:

-Bottle of thick lotion
-Dark colored foundation - mine are tan and cocoa. I'm using two because I couldn't find a shade in the middle. If you have a shade that you like, you can use just one too.

Step one:
Time to play mad scientist: Add a few drops of the lighter of the two to the lotion.

Step two:
Shake

Step three:
Test.

Step four:
Add more foundation if too light, and repeat 1-3.

*Remember, you can always add color, so add carefully.

*now you can decide how light or dark you want this. Continue to add foundation until you've reached your shade. I kept testing on my arm. This washes off every time you shower so you'll need to put it on daily.
Still, pretty cool if you're going out or something. Best part: Since you're using face-based products, you won't look orange :)

Also, I think I'm going to add body shimmer.

Halloween Spook Preview!

DIY Cheap and Easy! Jewelery Cleaner

Hiii! If you made the Earring Holder, chances are you're going to have to clean your earrings before you put them on display. So here's a cheap and easy solution to make them sparkle! This is great for silver and costume jewelery with rhinestones and diamonds in general.

What you'll need:

Glass
3 minute denture tablets
Water
Towel (paper or cloth)

Step One:
Put all your jewelery that needs to be cleaned in glass, fill with warm water just until everything is covered.

Step Two:
Drop two tablets into the water.Wait 5-10 minutes. *I usually do this then take a shower, so 10 minutes is fine.

Step Three:
Once it is done fizzing and getting sudsy, drain the glass over a closed bottom sink, so if anything falls out it won't get washed down the drain.

Step Four:
Rinse with warm water, repeating step three. Empty glass onto a towel so everything can dry.

That's it! Your jewels should be looking good and feeling fine and ready for their debut on your lace earring holder!

*An alternate way, if your jewels require scrubbing:

What you'll need:

Denture tablet
Glass
Toothbrush

Step One:
Put about a quarter of an inch of warm water in the glass. Place the tablet in and smash it up.

Step Two:
Using the toothbrush, dip it in the solution and then gently scrub your jewelery. Rinse with warm water. Dry on towel.

Earring Holder

Hello! I love this project. It is cheap, easy, fast and makes a great gift! So let's get started!

What you'll need:

Embroidery hoop (6-7 inches is a good size)
Lace (I had half a yard and had enough to make about 10 of them)
Glue gun

Step One:
Place the inside hoop under the lace. *Since I have a lot of earrings and they're pretty heavy, I decided to double up the lace, using 2 layers. This is purely your choice. I just wanted it to be reinforced.

Step Two:
Place the larger hoop over the lace and the hoop underneath. Pull the lace taught and tighten the bracket until it is very tight and secure. Pull lace around edges to make sure it is tight.

Step Three:
Cut the excess lace off, leaving about 1/4th of an inch of lace around the edge of the hoop.

Step Four:
Using the hot glue gun, glue down the edge to the hoop for added stability and security.

Step Five:
Voila! You're all done! Now put your earrings on it, and find a good place to hang it! It looks cute on a wall in your bedroom.

*I made 2, one for me, one for my mother. I used a 7 inch hoop for mine (pink) and a 6 inch hoop for hers (green). Here's the difference:

DIY "Modge Podge" or Decoupage or Craft Glue

Bonjour! If any of you are seasoned DIY-ers, then you know how expensive Mod Podge is. Did you know that it's just watered down glue? No? Well, it is. So, I want to help you save a few bucks. PS-- I like to call it "modge podge" because that sounds right. Also, "decoupage" because it sounds French and fancy and expensive.
What you'll need:

*Elmer's white glue all
*Air tight jar (mine is a sauce jar)
*Water
Step one:
Empty whole bottle of glue into the jar.

Step two:
Add water - you can do a ratio of 1:1 but I wanted mine thicker so I did about 1:3/4

Step three:
Shake!

Step four:
Label!

That's it! So easy and it only costs about 2 bucks!

Experiment time: Can I sew a bra into my bathing suit?

It's the summer time, I live near the beach, I like to visit occasionally and next week I'm on vacation! So, in my perilous hunt for a bathing suit, I had one main requirement: I want one with a proper bra, complete with underwire. Shouldn't be so bad, right? Wrong. Because I'm a bit... chesty and curvy (being nice), finding a bathing suit not made for old ladies, that was cute and didn't cost the same as my car, was like finding the infamous white whale (no pun intended for what I look like in the suit.)

Right. Here goes nothing:

What you'll need:

Swim suit with saggy cups (those awful, flimsy, no good cloth cups)
A bra you don't mind "altering."
Several needles
Nylon thread

Step One:
Line up the bra in the bathing suit to see where everything is going to hit. You want to make sure the underwire (if you're using a bra with one) is inside the front of the bathing suit and doesn't overlap into the back, or go over the seams. Pin so that you can't see it when you're looking at it from the outside.

Step Two:
You're not going to stitch where you think you're going to be stitching! Surprise! No, you're not stitching around the perimeter, you're going to stitch the bra to the existing bra in the suit. You will end up with a funny stitch. **When trying the knot for the thread that's going to anchor the stitch, make sure you start the thread so that the knot is on the outside of the real bra, but on the inside of the swimsuit bra. This way the nylon thread won't rub against you and annoy the bejesus out of you.

Step Three:
Stitch the bra around the perimeter of the suit cup. ***DO NOT stitch to the outside of the suit, you don't want to see the stitching on the outside. You can hold the outside away from the cup and needle so you don't catch it and cause a run. ***Keep checking the front of the suit to make sure you can't see the tops of the bra.

Step Four:
Stitch the middle of the bra to the inside of the suit with a straight down stitch. (No picture, sorry!)

Step Five:
Continue on to the next cup with the same principle as the first. Do not cut off the band of the bra, as you should be able to wear the band without it showing.

Step Six:

***OPTIONAL*** Depending on the cut of your suit, if you have regular tank straps, you can wear your straps like normal.

Mine is a halter, so I cut the straps at the base of the band, right above the back band, sewed them together to form a halter. ***I was able to keep the strap adjusters on the straps because of how they were placed on the front of the straps and not the back. If yours are on the back, you can either cut the straps off completely or measure them and then sew so that they are taut.

I am so completely shocked and proud of myself that I didn't cock this up and make a mess of it. It looks fantastic! You can't even tell it's been sewn in and my boobs sit where they're supposed to be and they won't be flopping around!

I won't subject you to a picture of me in the suit, but you get the gist. Let's go to the beach!!

Fancy Toe Flats

Good evening! More like good morning, but whatever. Anyway, today I'm going to show you, my lovely readers, how to spruce up to your flats, the cheap and easy way. If the they're old and worn out or scuffed up, this is the perfect solution! So, without further ado...

What you'll need:

Flats - any color, mine are cheapies from Walmart - they're not online, but you can get them in the store for just $5!
Sponge brush thing or paint brush.
White acrylic paint
Acrylic paint of your choice (mine is called Patina by Folk Art, looks like Tiffany green)
Painter's tape or packing tape

Step One:
Decide how much of the toe you want to be painted. Tape above the section you want painted, being careful to make sure that it is even on both shoes.

Step Two:
Take the white paint and using long, even strokes, paint one thin coat on the toe. Make sure you get off all excess and try not to let streak. Let dry. Paint another coat of white and let dry.

Step Three:
Once the white is dry, paint a thin coat of your color of choice using long even strokes. Let dry. For the final coat, use a thicker coat, almost like you're using too much paint, to make a thick covering. Let dry, this will take about an hour.

Step Four:
Peel the tape off once dry and enjoy your new flats!

Despite having to wait for the paint to dry, it's a very simple and fast project and your shoes look so cute.

Volcanic hair and scalp treatment

Hi! So in the summer, I have to use more junk in my hair to keep it from going berserk so I get gross product buildup. I call the the "volcanic" hair and scalp treatment because it reminds me of little kids science projects. This is an easy and cheap solution that will help clean your scalp :)

What you'll need:

Baking soda
Vinegar (any kind will do)
Water
Spoon and mixing bowl

Step one:
Sprinkle baking soda on dry hair, lifting sections to get it close to the scalp.

(Stupid facial expression optional.)

(Found out that it's easier to use your hands)

Step Two:

Take cap fulls of vinegar and pour it on your scalp. This makes it fizz and feel good :)

Step Three:
Once your scalp is tingly and smelly (don't worry, your shampoo will take care of this), let it sit for about 15-20 minutes and wash out. Use conditioner and let it sit for a bit.

Step Four:
**Optional** I took it a step further and made a paste with the baking soda, a little water and then some vinegar.

Step Five:
Put the paste on your head and walk around like you have a powdered wig on. Leave on for half an hour and wash out.

Taadaaa!

Diamond Headband

What girl, young and old, doesn't love something sparkly? I know I do, and I'm 22. These headbands are adorable and spruce up any outfit.

What you'll need:

Plain headband (plastic works better than metal. You can find them at the dollar store in a multipac.)
Embroidery floss
Diamond chain (found this at Walmart for about $3)
Hot glue gun
Scissors

Step One:
Using the floss, wrap the headband so it's all one color. (I don't have a picture. Sorry.) Hot glue each end so it doesn't become unraveled.

Step Two:
Take the diamond chain and glue one end to the side of the headband, about an inch and a quarter to an inch and a half above the bottom. Take the chain and line it up around the headband, gluing strategic points. Do this until you reach the other side and glue about an inch and half above the bottom. Cut off the excess diamonds. (Don't worry, they won't fall off.)

(Don't worry about the mess, you can scrape it off and it will be covered by the floss.)

Step Three:
Take the floss and glue the end of the headband, on the inside. Start wrapping it around the inside of the diamonds, on the silver spaces. You should wrap each space two or three times so that you can't see the silver. I used a * star shaped wrap to make it fancy, but if you just use a regular wrap it will be fine.

Step Four:
Hot glue the end of the floss to the inside of the headband once you reach the bottom of the diamonds and snip off the excess string.

Step Five:
Straighten out the diamonds on the top and wear like you're a princess! I know I do ;)

Personalized Headphones/Earbuds

Bonjour! Tonight I'm going to show you how to personalize your headphones or ear buds. I'm not going to sugar coat this: it's probably the easiest one you can do, but it's very time consuming. This took me about 2 hours. Well, I was watching the Vampire Diaries at the same time so that might contribute to it. This is supposed to keep them from tangling. They will still get tangled, but not as bad.

What you'll need:

Pair of headphones or earbuds
Embroidery floss
Hot glue gun

Step One: Untangle your headphones. Pick your floss colors. You can have as many colors as you want. This is about personalizing and making them unique.

Step Two:
Start your first color right below the thing that separates the cords for the ear buds and the cord that connects to your ipod. To start this color, put about a quarter to a half an inch of floss down the cord and start wrapping the floss right at the base of that plastic divider. I hope that the picture will clear things up.

Step Three:
Continue wrapping for as long as you want. I made mine about 2-3 inches long for each color. I didn't cut the strings, because I wasn't sure how much would be needed, so I just used the skein and kept wrapping and cut it when I was done with that color. Before you cut, leave about an extra half inch at the end. I'll show you in the next step what you'll do with it.

Step Four:
For your next color, you're going to take the half inch left from the previous color and lay it flat on the cord. Take the new color and lay the same amount against the cord. Start wrapping the new color at the base of the previous color.

Step Five:
Once you have wrapped all your colors, and have reached the bottom, take a hot glue gun and secure the end of the last string.

Step Six:
To do the cords to the actual earbuds, use the same method. I wrapped all the way to the base of the earbuds and then secured with hot glue. I wrapped the plastic divider piece, too.

It's pretty easy, but time consuming. So sit down, watch your favorite show or movie and have fun! When you're done you'll have adorable and unique headphones that won't tangle as bad. :)

Braided back beach wear

Hi! Back again. Tonight I'm going to show you how to make another beach coverup that is along the same lines as this one. But it came out better. Promise.

What you'll need:

Big t-shirt (mine is a men's and two sizes bigger than what I usually wear in mens, but mine is white.)
Sharp scissors
Ruler

(Yes, I do my projects at work. Shhh don't tell my boss!)

Step One:
Cut the neck off your shirt. I measured two inches in from the seam at the collar on both sides. Fold shirt in half so the cut comes out even.

Step Two:
Take the t-shirt and fold the back in half so that the two seams at the neck are touching.

Step Three:
Decide how long you want the cuts to be. Using the ruler as a guide, cut the fabric straight across, about as wide as a finger, plus a little. The first cut should be a bit thick.

Step Four:
Continue to cut strips about the width of your finger until you reach the bottom.

Step Five:
Once you have cut the back, gently pull each strip until the fabric begins to roll.

Step Six:
Now, you can leave this just the way it is, and wear it like that for a sexy look, or you can weave or braid, as I like to call it, the strands. This girl did a really good tutorial on the 2 basic types of it.

Here's my completed shirt with the basic weave. I did the basic weave twice for this look.

Scarf Flip Flops with a Bow!

Hi! Welcome back. Tonight we're making flip flops with scarfs. Trust me, they turn out really cute and if you can get everything on sale, then they don't cost much either. :)

What you'll need:

A pair of cheap flip flops
Scarf
Scissors
Hot glue gun

Step One:

Cut the scarf in half and then in half again. You will need 4 long pieces. Cut the plastic foot holders off the top of the flip flops and remove the circle things off the bottom.

Step Two:

Take two ends of the scarf and twist them together so they can be placed through the top part of the flip flops. I used a pen to shove the scarf pieces through the hole.

Step Three:

Take the two scarves on the other side and tie them together, twice, to form a double knot.

Step Four:

On the top, tie the scarfs together twice with regular knots. Then take both scarfs together and make one knot. This will provide enough room for your toes.

Step Five:

Make a bow as big as you want it.

Step Six:

Take one scarf and twist it so you can feed it through the hole at the bottom. (Pretend that there's a bow at the top...) Repeat on the other side

Step Seven:

Turn over and make knots right below the holes. Just one knot on each side. Push them into the holes so the soles will be flat. Make sure that your feet fit comfortably in the sandals before you continue to the next step. You don't want the straps to be loose because if you used a cotton scarf, they will stretch a little.

Step Eight:

Now that your sandals fit properly, you can hot glue the knots in the holes to make everything secure.

Step Nine:

I hot glued everything because nothing is more embarrassing than having a flip flop break on you. I hot glued the front of the holes around the scarf and the bow so it won't come undone. I don't have a picture of it, but since you're so smart and reading my blog, I think you can figure it out. ;)

Step Ten:

Since everything has been secured, you can now go around and cut off the excess scarf. Cut it as close as you can get to the knot. Now, hot glue over the knot and the hole for more security. Maybe it's obsessive, but rather be safe than sorry.

Step Eleven:

Repeat to the other flip flop and enjoy! You'll have the cutest sandals and everyone will be jealous. Little will they know that you made them and they cost less than lunch. :)

Sexy shredded dangly beach coverup

'ello! Tonight we're making a "shredded dangly shirt," (yes, that is the scientific name.)
I want to start off by saying that I completely cocked this up, but the general idea is there. Plus, I'm going to link to the blog that inspired me so you'll be able to see a decent one.

Things you'll need:

100% cotton t-shirt (1 or 2 sizes bigger - depending on how big you want it)
Sharp sissors
Pencil or fabric pencil
6" x 6" square from paper
Ruler (optional. You can free ball it)
Paper clips/clothes pins

This is the shirt I chose. It's just a shirt I had bumming around and I thought it was cute. I cut the neck off because I hate high necks on shirts this looks better once said and done. (PS- This shirt if from Old Navy, 2 St. Patrick's Days ago.)

Step One:
Turn the shirt inside out. Fold in half so that the two seams on the shoulders are touching flat. I used paper clips to keep this secure.

Step Two:
On the back, take your square of paper and fold it in half so it becomes a triangle. Place one side on one half of the shirt, and the other on the other side in the middle. Secure with paper clips. Trace with pencil on both sides.

Step Three:
Starting from one side of the square, draw straight lines to the seams.

Step Four:
Carefully cut the lines. Starting from the square, cut lines. **At the neck, you must cut one line horizontally to create a strap to keep the top on.

***Optional***:
If you chose, cut out the triangles that are created from cutting the lines out. This will create a very sexy and open look.

Step Five:
Pull shirt so that the lines that you cut roll. After this, wash the shirt to get rid of pencil marks and to help everything roll.

Step Six:
Wear to the beach over your bathing suit, or wear a tank top underneath for a sexy look! :)

Acne and Scar Facial

Hello, lovelies! For my first ever blog post, I'm going to show you how you can get your face looking radiant!

So what you'll need for this is as follows:

1/2 teaspoon of Cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon of Nutmeg
1 teaspoon of Honey
2 teaspoons of Lemon Juice
Teaspoon or measuring spoon
Glove (optional. This is kind of messy)
Mixing bowl

Combine them all until you have a paste. Because the lemon juice is strong, if you have sensitive skin (I do. I'm a baby), I used 1 teaspoon of lemon with 1 teaspoon of water. For some reason when I made mine it came out kind of runny so I added a tad more of honey, cinnamon and nutmeg and popped it in the microwave for about 20 seconds.

Let this cool a bit. Slather all over your face and neck if you'd like. Let sit for half an hour if you can handle it. You will feel a little bit of a burning sensation, but it will wear off.

**I suggest wearing an old robe or zip up hoodie to do this and then rinsing it off in the shower. I made a mess of my bathroom and it would have been easier if I had just hopped in the shower. Also, since I look extremely scary, I don't suggest that you do this with small children around. ;)

Afterwards, I moisturized with good ole Vaseline. You can use whatever you like, but Vaseline is so nice I can't resist it.

Do this once every couple weeks and you'll be glowing like never before!
