Seven days after 4/20, my cuz came down from north 12 hours away by train. Only that this journey took him 20 hours, thanks to the hartal (CPI-M). Was good to see the little one in almost more than a year. And he brought a little baggie of green. (Should last me a while. Thanks bro.) So my cousins and I smoked up for the first time in our lives on 4/28. Hadn't had a smoke in 4 months & 27 days. Tobacco isn't worth shit.

My last juicy jay. I never thought I'd ever use the rollies I brought with me this year. They were left overs from when I vacated my apartment 11 months ago. I had the bong then so why roll except for when you wanna blaze outdoors. I think I had 3 zig zags, a blueberry, raspberry & mellow mango here that I saved for last. Well, seems like this is the last juicy roll. In fact, I just toked off it. There are no juicy jays or zig zags here. They have OCB though. And you have to know where to go coz its not common. OCB comes in a 1 size I think. It's small but what can you do when rollies are hard to find. By the way, mellow mango is up there of all the flavors. Smoking spliffs is drying my throat too fast. Not good.

Sunday: Although my initial plan was to attend church before my cousin came to visit me on Sunday, I never made it. I slept on till they arrived. My cousin was supposed to hang with me for a couple days here. But the last minute change in plans was inevitable for him. Seeing that we sat down & broke some herb to toke. We got stoned & slumped for a bit in my room watching tv.

Later that evening when he was to return, my aunt (his mom) persisted me to come along with them. They live about a 3 hour drive from where I am, which incidentally is where my dad was born & forms a big native family base. I'm always a bit hesitant to be around unless my cousins are around. Anyway, unexpected of sorts I hopped on the wagon with them.

Monday: Good sleep. Good tea. Good sandwiches. My cuz & I went to this restaurant that usually serves fresh toddy. Today's wasn't that fresh tasting. Maybe heat has something to do with it. When fresh, toddy made from palm is sweet & easily drinkable. It is whitest (like milk) when fresh. This place also has a delicacy menu that boasts frog, lobster, tortoise, prawns, squid & many others. All cooked kerala style. Getting high before eating is recommended. :) Watched a shitty movie later.

Tuesday: Hung with my cuz who had some chores to do. We went to our grandma's grave & later got high at our younger cuz's. He wasn't there though. We called him up n let him know. He was pretty high when we got him on the phone. peace, peace

Wednesday: It's been nice here. Great food. Always. Cuz is set to leave for Bangalore in the evening. I hop on a KSRTC n reach tiruvalla. First time since I came here in 2009 I take the state transport bus. They have electronic receipts now. Who knew. Buy 2 cigs & walk to the station trying to light up a roach. Train doesn't leave in 3 hours. Toke one, go in, drink coffee. Walk to next platform. Buy Top Gear's 50th anniversary ed(Oct). 300 pages. Meet some homeless kids. Try to peddle me for money. Talk to them a bit. ... toke one outside reading the mag. Come back in. Read. Train arrives on time on platform 2. I get a seat & read most of the journey.

P.S - My cuz told me about an incident that happened with him & his colleague while they were at an internet cafe in Amsterdam a yr or more ago. When they sat down he said the cafe was smoky. So his colleague taking encouragement from this, lights up a cigarette. Next thing, a guy warns them about smoking tobacco in there.
sick, huh.

Home made cane sugar

i got this from a guy who helps around the neighborhood. With sugar prices today, we might wanna resort to cost cutting later if/when raw resources run out. For terminator salvation day:

Squeeze couple of sugar cane sticks
get the juice
don't drink it
oh, you'll need an eathern vessel/(not too deep)
pour some of the cane juice into the vessel
stir the vessel around till the little bit of cane juice becomes more paste-y.

when you make the whole amount.. ok i may have had a memory lapse here, butdry the paste in a coconut shell (for traditional taste) or a dry vessel. The mixture should be mixed WITH WATER as needed to maintain the viscosity of honey or slightly less.

This cane sugar in liquid form is an ancient favorite of the southern travancore region with the all too familiar & traditional kerala breakfast - "putt-u" .

Mixes to the combo: banana, ghee in addition to the above

So I went to visit my cousin & hang for a few days. I'd to travel around 15 hours north by train to this place in India called Bangalore, or more correctly as of a not too old restore, Bengaluru. The name itself means a home of beans after an old folklore of how a hungry king was fed by a poor old lady from a village. Today it is no village but a city to be at. It was a cool 5 days. I even managed to score! Thanks to somebodies of course. Thirty dollars. Imagine that. The herbs are from agricultural land, buds flattened and have a strong peppery smell.

It took a while for me to realize the heavy depression growing up. Like kids we grew up, being crazier than before. At the age of 25, I smoked my first doobie with a chum from work. That was a horrible way of finding out I'd been wasting 9 years of my life smoking tobacco. I mean I probably would have hated tobacco to try it again period The only good that may have come out of it is having the ease to drop the kids at the pool. Anyway, marijuana has some very good medical qualities that help many illnesses including depression. Instead of sinking into depression the indulgence helps/makes me think and in a very constructive way I must say. The heart also feels lighter in an emotional way. Undoubtedly, grass has more medicinal qualities that aid the human than cheap booze. I like my scotch and beer but not the one we used to down in college town. No 50 cent nights for me. I'd rather smoke a doobie and hang. A strange weed it is, ancient generations have smoked this in india, africa & among the common masses for generations. Only today maybe California and Amsterdam have replaced the cannabis nations in the modern world in terms of quality & possibly production.

Winter is a strange season. I have been here through seven, except that I was fortunate to spend two of them down southern california. An incredible couple of years. Now, while the new waves of recession hits globally my journey will take me east. Towards home. It's a bit past 16:20 now I'm fortunate to have the last dried up bits of my last stash. Of course, I've started writing haven't I? I hope to make a last visit to my alma mater next weekend before I fly, the hub that became for me and several others, a promotion of international magical cooperation, the (k)zoo. How much ever each one of us may not like to live there anymore, it's always a hoot getting together in the old mad town. Love it in the summer when we get the ball out to play. America has been a rich center of cultural, moral, real education for me and fucked up as I may be I think the circumstances that leads life on has deliberate intentions to up society somehow. The most important element being humor, more ingenious the better. This is essential at all times.

To be a rocking senator in the great ole' U.S of A would require,in this age, at least, to release a tv campaign ad of three of his/her's good friends at home about their doings back in the days when they used to fire a phat one and converse on an unbelievable intellectuality that, even they couldn't believe it :)

MARIJUANA LAWS TO BE PASSED - A GLOBAL CITIZEN's dream

1. Marijuana should be, at least; semi-legalized all over the world, seeing that, in reality of the so called "soft" 'drug', Cannabis is a plant, a weed?, some call it herb. Frankly i've seen some strains that look like they're crystal fruits even smelling like them that i'd have no problem eating :P . Opium on the other hand is a very sweet tasting fruit of a plant? (I've tried it once at a goa psy fest and it was goood :). i'd say that's just too good to smoke.. Think about the expenditure ratio that opium would cost,I'm guessing higher than weed coz opium is known only to grow in certain parts of the world for its picky climate adaptations..moreover, opium from which heroin is a derivative is physically addictive which makes its case non-arguable except for current medical uses). It will be more than us common people can handle in addition to his/her's needed expenses. Know what's enough to be a great natural therapy session, each time, over and over? :) Legalize Pot.

2. All Adults should be allowed to possess upto an ounce, if possible ( relating to instances in transportation reasons as to travelling a distance to obtain a perhaps different strain not found in the person's local area )

2.a Yes, drug testing for marijuana should be stopped at all work places and it is not the use of the drug ( to a very mild intake might even help increase work productivity, trust me take a statistic on this, someone. ). Although, sluggishness can indicate abuse of any drug it is only fair that fair assessment (i.e without bias); in accordance with pre-legalization years like this current one can righteously fire the person in question for non-productive - :D [ But in words of stoners like us that includes Tommy Chong who says something about drug testing those people who make computer programs and all the brainy stuff ;).. He has a point. I mean if the Dutch has no inhibitions about the herb and had innovative engineering ideas to build a city underwater.. hmm. ]

2.b Effects of Marijuana in mild concentrations include enhanced increase in focus of mind, deeper realization on a personal inward search or spirituality ( does not include any sort of nose digging in any other's business, unless a known misjustice by law ,and keep it straight people..We always fuck up. )also increases sexual libido (keepin' it real folks, why the valium and the viagra? seriously? )

3. The government must have the police strictly monitor all school premises, parks, playgrounds and areas specifically visited by young children to avoid abuse.

4. Any person smoking weed in a public area may be asked to present their licenses/ID cards by police to see if they are over 21.

5. Marijuana in effect is much helpful found by many to be a stress buster and being in a feeling of well being or elatedness. This itself has a very positive creative enhancement of the human mind ( so far by my own self observation only, you might have to contact the scientists about lab rats. )

6. Any person that does not have their I.D when asked by the police to present it when requested, may be issued a citation/ticket for $15.

IMHO I think the government should have its imposing but fair reasoning over legalization and circulation of marijuana ( source of revenue? and no more expense for a drug war? coz you put them out of business? ). First, besides hemp, marijuana is competently grown , this plant , is grown by so many growers , in the United States alone that in all appreciation as a toker, the strains are absolutely unbelievable at times! :D

9.a KNOW THE FACTS rather endorse blind beliefs; get the real stats for deaths by alcohol to consumption of marijuana (http://www.saferchoice.org/content/view/24/53). You could be enlightened. For that matter, any smoker that may only want to keep to "smokin' weed" may not want to indulge in smoking tobacco anymore. Legalization has helped her/him choose something better than nothing tobacco truthfully does (in fact, nicotine does no good at all).

9.b IMPE, I've found that the longer the interval period between consumption is directly proportional to the intensity of effect on self :D (of course, it depends on the strain to a degree as well).
