Our book The Moment I Knew was on Canadian TV thanks to author Susan Black (How Detachment Changes Everything). Check out the link to the 2 1/2 minute video from Shaw TV in British Columbia featuring Susan on writing her story as a healing journey to cope with her son's difficulties. Great job Susan!

We also added two more short videos to our YouTube Reflections from Women channel with authors Nadia Ali and Mimi LaFrancis introducing their essays in the book. It's great to get to know our authors and to have a face with their essays.

Enjoy the videos. FYI...Susan's video from Shaw TV is listed as our 1st favorite on our channel.

We are happy to feature two of our authors who are both connected to one of our charity recipients, Women Writing for (a) Change. The nonprofit group supports and encourages women and girls with their writing. They have locations across the U.S. but are very much community-oriented groups. If you're fortunate enough to be near one of their locations, check them out!

Our first featured author Katie Ford Hall is involved with the Cincinnati group. Katie's essay "Resurfacing" was in book one. Check out her blog Uneasy Pink on Nov. 21 when she introduces Kim Evans' essay in The Moment I Knew.

Our second featured author Kim Evans is connected to the Bloomington Indiana group. Her essay, "What I Gave to the Fire" is in book two of the series. Kim's blog post on Cozumel Dreamin talks about being published in book two.

Both of these women are excellent writers and their essays deal with issues which are, unfortunately, common to many women--breast cancer (Resurfacing) and miscarriage (What I Gave to the Fire).

The Moment I Knew blog tour for November has ended but we have another special in store for December!

Our feature blog is Women's Memoirs--a phenomenal blog offering great tips and much support to women writers. It is by far one of my personal top ten favorite blogs for women writers.

Today bloggers Kendra Bonnett and Matilda Butler have included a guest blog post that I wrote about the unexpected gifts from writing your life story. The post includes a writing activity as a starting point for writing about your own life experiences.

On that note, I want to share a sweet message I just received from one of our authors in book one, Tamara Bastone:

I will never forget how Reflections from Women changed my life. I am now creating art, getting published in Craft magazines and communing with some really great folk. All of this is possible because of the life changing act of putting my story to paper. The act of letting it go by sharing had the most tremendous inner healing possible. Thank you for the work you do and continue to do with this series. Several girlfriends are following the series! They are deeply touched by the stories.
