Turn off Protected View in Excel to improve performance of opening Excel documents.

Overview

Excel's Protected View feature opens documents in read-only mode, and disables editing functions. There are several reasons why documents are opened in read-only mode. Documents opened from the SmartVault Drive are considered "Files originating from the internet" and are opened in Protected Mode by default.

Cause

This feature however, slows down the opening of excel documents . To turning off protected mode for Files originating from the internet will increase the speed of which excel files open from the Outlook etc...

Resolution

To disable Protected View in Excel, follow the steps in this section. These steps can be applied for Excel 2010, 2013 and 2016.

Click File > Options.

Click Trust Center > Trust Center Settings > Protected View.

Uncheck Enable Protected View for files originating from the internet.

நான் இந்த தலைப்பு வைக்க காரணம் இருக்கு...அதாவது நாம நேசிச்ச ஒரு விஷயத்த வெறுக்க வெச்சவங்களுக்கு கூட எதுவும் சொல்ல மாட்டோம். ஆனா நாம அடியோட வெறுத்த விஷயத்த அதி தீவிரமா நேசிக்க வச்ச ஒருத்தங்களுக்கு நன்றி சொல்லாம இருக்கிறது தமிழனா பொறந்த நமக்கு அழகில்லை.

ஒரு மூணு வருஷம் முன்னாடி வரை ஜல்லிக்கட்ட பத்தி என்னோட பார்வை இது தான் "ஜல்லிக்கட்டு ஒரு காட்டுப் பயலுக விளையாட்டு, இரக்கமில்லா மிருக வதை" இப்படி தான் ஜல்லிக்கட்டு எனக்கு அறிமுகம் ஆச்சு...அதனால தான் அடியோட வெறுத்தேன்.

இருந்தாலும், "ஜல்லிக்கட்டு" இத சுத்தி ஏன் இவ்வளவு பிரச்சனைகள் நடக்குது னு தெரிஞ்சிக்கலாம் சொல்லி நம்ம "கூகுல்" வாத்தியார் கிட்ட கேட்டா சும்மா எல்லா விஷயத்தையும் புட்டு புட்டு வெச்சிட்டாரு.... அப்றமா தான் தெரிஞ்சது இந்த விளையாட்டுக்கு பின்னாடி இருக்குற அறிவியலும் அத தடுக்க நடக்குற பெருநிறுவன அரசியலும்...( Corporate Politics).

நான் ஜல்லிக்கட்ட வெறுத்ததுக்கு "பீட்டா" காரணமானு தெரியாது ஆனா இப்ப நான் ஜல்லிக்கட்ட நேசிக்க முழு காரணமும் "பீட்டா" மட்டும் தான்...இப்ப புரிஞ்சிருக்கும் நான் ஏன் இந்த தலைப்பு வச்சேன்னு

1. பெண் குழந்தைகள் யாருடைய மடியிலும் அமரக்கூடாது என்று சொல்லிக் கொடுக்க வேண்டும்.

2. 2 அல்லது 3 வயதுக்கு மேல் ஆன குழந்தைகள் முன்னிலையில் உடை மாற்றிக் கொள்ளுவதைத் தவிர்க்க வேண்டும்.

3. குழந்தைகளுக்கு யாரும் இது உன்னுடைய கணவன் என்றோ, மனைவியென்றோ குறிப்பிடுவதோ, மனதில் பதிய வைப்பதோ தவறு.

Some history about various Chennai area names

* Syed Shah Pettai has become “Saidapet”

* In 17,18-th centuries this area was under control of a Nawab and this was the garden were his horses were resting and getting fed. So it was called "Ghoda bagh" (Horse Garden). It later became “Kodambakkam”

* Armoured Vehicles And Depot of India became “Avadi” (AVADI)

* Several Chrome leather factories in the region resulted in this area being called “Chrompet”

* This area was full of coconut trees. Therefore named as “tennampettai”. It was later changed as “Teynampet”

* Urdu word “che baug” (six gardens) became “Chepauk”.

* Saundara Pandian bazaar became “Pondy Bazaar”

* “vilva marankal” area with the flowers used for the Lord known as Mahavilvam over time has become “Mambalam”

* pallavapuram became “Pallavaram”.

* Madras Presidency head was Panagal Raja at one point and based on his name, the park was named as “Panagal Park”

* Based on name of Justice party leader Sir. Thiagarajan Chettiar, the area is known as “T Nagar”

* “Purasai” trees were in abundance in the region, leading it to be called “Purasaiwalkam”

* In the 17th century, a Muslim saint who lived here 'kunankuti Mastan Sahib'. Thondi was his native town in Ramanathapuram district. Therefore, the local people called him tontiyar. That's the current areas known as “Tondiarpet”.

* Before the area was used for feeding cattle. So called as Mandai veli before becoming “Mandaveli”

* Peacock were roaming freely in the area leading it to be called Mayilai puram and later becoming “Mylapore”

* Pallavas used to conduct or wage wars in the region now known as “Porur”

A famous writer was in his study room. He picked up his pen and started writing :

** Last year, I had a surgery and my gall bladder was removed. I had to stay stuck to the bed due to this surgery for a long time.

** The same year I reached the age of 60 years and had to give up my favourite job. I had spent 30 years of my life in this publishing company.

** The same year I experienced the sorrow of the death of my father.

** And in the same year my son failed in his medical exam because he had a car accident. He had to stay in bed at hospital with the cast on for several days. The destruction of car was another loss.

At the end he wrote: Alas! It was such a bad year !!

When the writer's wife entered the room, she found her husband looking sad & lost in his thoughts. From behind his back she read what was written on the paper. She left the room silently and came back with another paper and placed it on side of her husband's writing.

When the writer saw this paper, he found his name written on it with the following lines :

** Last year I finally got rid of my gall bladder due to which I had spent years in pain....

** I turned 60 with sound health and got retired from my job. Now I can utilize my time to write something better with more focus and peace.....

** The same year my father, at the age of 95, without depending on anyone or without any critical condition met his Creator....

** The same year, God blessed my son with a new life. My car was destroyed but my son stayed alive without getting any disability.

At the end she wrote:

This year was an immense blessing of God and it passed well !!!

The writer was indeed happy and amazed at such beautiful and encouraging interpretation of the happenings in his life in that year !!!
