Don’t think much about 4b,7b. They are just parameters. Parameters are like “knowledge points.”

2b (2 billion parameters) = smaller, lighter, runs on most PCs.
7b (7 billion parameters) = larger, smarter, but needs more memory.

For beginners, 4b is the best choice. I had tested both 7b and 4b models on one of my 16GB RAM PC, it works bit faster compared to 7b so, suggested for 4b model. If you have higher RAM capacity go directly to 7b. That model requires more system memory (22.1 GiB)

Amazon Elastic Block Store (EBS) is like a personal locker, fast and private. It attaches directly to a computer (an EC2 instance) and is great for workloads that need quick access, like Jake’s real-time sales dashboard.

Jake imagined his iPhone boxes stacked neatly in these magical warehouses in the sky. For the first time, he realized the cloud wasn’t just about rain — it was about storage, speed, and scale.

Chapter 6 – The Language of Numbers and Words (Data Types)

One evening, Jake was flipping through his ledger when Ethan leaned over. “Uncle Jake, do you know what kind of data you’re collecting?”
Jake shrugged. “It’s just sales, isn’t it?”

Chapter 8 – What is Numerical Data?

“This,” he said, “is numerical data. It’s easy for computers to handle. Your age, the price of an iPhone, the number of customers in a day — all of these are numerical. Machine learning loves numbers because they can be measured, compared, and predicted.”
He gave an example: “When Apple reports that 10 million iPhones were sold in the first week, that’s numerical data. When Amazon tracks that a product’s price dropped from $999 to $899, that’s numerical data too. These numbers help companies forecast demand, set prices, and manage inventory.”

Chapter 9 – Teaching the Computer to Read Words (Word‑to‑Word Mapping)

Jake frowned. “But how can a computer ever understand words like ‘rainy day’ or ‘holiday weekend’?”
Ethan explained: “We start with word‑to‑word mapping. It’s like a dictionary. For example, the word ‘iPhone’ maps to ‘Apple,’ and ‘Galaxy’ maps to ‘Samsung.’ This helps the computer see connections between words.”

Quick Refresher: What Are Data Types?

Before we dive deeper, let’s make sure “data types” are crystal clear.
Data types are simply the categories of data that tell a computer how to treat information.
Numerical data → Numbers you can measure or calculate with. Example: “Jake sold 25 iPhones today.”
Categorical data → Labels or groups. Example: “Customer bought iPhone 15 Pro vs iPhone SE.”
Text data → Words, sentences, reviews. Example: “Battery life is amazing.”
Image/Video data → Photos, videos, or visuals. Example: A selfie taken with an iPhone camera.
Audio data → Sounds, voice notes, or recordings. Example: A customer’s voice message asking about stock.
Think of it like the sections in Jake’s shop: phones (numerical count), models (categories), customer reviews (text), demo photos (images), and customer calls (audio). Each is a different type of data, and each needs to be handled differently in machine learning.

He also said you can use service like Mechanical turk to label the data manually with humans, as not all datas are labelled already.

Ethan gave Jake a real example. “When Apple launches a new iPhone, they don’t just guess how many to produce. They use:
Structured data: Pre‑order numbers, past sales figures, store inventory.
Unstructured data: Tweets, YouTube reviews, customer feedback.

Ethan leaned back and said, “Uncle Jake, before we wrap this up, you need to understand one last thing: the kinds of data you’re working with. Some of your notes are numbers, like ‘25 iPhones sold today’ or ‘average selling price was $999.’ That’s called quantitative data because it can be measured and expressed in numbers. Sometimes it’s whole numbers, like the count of iPhones sold, which we call discrete, and sometimes it’s values with decimals, like battery life in hours or how long a customer waited, which we call continuous. On the other hand, some of your notes aren’t numbers at all — they’re labels or descriptions, like ‘customer bought iPhone 15 Pro instead of SE’ or ‘satisfaction was Excellent instead of Poor.’ That’s qualitative data, also called categorical, because it describes qualities or groups. Some categories don’t have an order, like iPhone model names — those are nominal. Others do have an order, like satisfaction ratings from Poor to Excellent — those are ordinal. Both types are important: the numbers help you predict how many iPhones to stock, while the categories help you understand what kinds of customers you have and how they feel. Together, they give you the full picture of your shop.”

A story about how a small-town dream met Machine Learning — and how you can too..

Chapter 1 – The Problem Nobody Could Name (Defining the Business Problem for ML)

Imagine you are in a deep forest, where the smelled of cardamom tea and the monsoon clouds rolled in like slow-moving giants, you see a rice shop run by a man named Ravi.

Ravi wasn’t a tech guy. He didn’t own a laptop. His world was measured in bags of rice, customer smiles, and the weight of coins in his pocket at the end of the day.

But Ravi had a problem.

Some months, he bought too much rice. The extra bags sat in the corner, growing stale, attracting weevils. Other months, he bought too little, and customers left disappointed.

He didn’t know it yet, but in the language of machine learning problem formulation, Ravi’s struggle was called “Defining the business problem” — the first step in the ML project lifecycle and the CRISP-DM framework. It’s the same kind of thinking a US store uses to plan turkey sales before Thanksgiving, an Australian surf shop uses before summer, a coffee exporter in Brazil uses before harvest, an e‑commerce giant in China uses before Singles’ Day, or a stock trader uses to anticipate share prices before earnings announcements.

📘 What We Learned
Machine learning problem formulation – Spotting a real‑world issue (like Ravi’s unpredictable rice sales) and realising it could be turned into a question for a computer to answer.
Business understanding in ML – Knowing why the problem matters before thinking about how to solve it; for Ravi, it’s about avoiding waste and keeping customers happy.
Problem statement for ML – A short, clear description of the challenge; here, it might become “Predict next month’s rice demand.”
ML project lifecycle – The journey an ML project takes from problem to solution; Ravi is standing right at the starting line.
CRISP‑DM – A common roadmap for ML projects; Ravi’s story begins in its first phase, Business Understanding.
Problem framing ML – Deciding exactly what question the model should answer; Ravi hasn’t framed it yet, but the need is clear.

Chapter 2 – The Stranger with the Cloud (Business Problem vs ML Problem — The First Step in the AWS Machine Learning Workflow)

One rainy afternoon, a young woman named Asha walked into Ravi’s shop. She was visiting her grandmother in the village, but in the city, she worked as a data scientist.

She listened to Ravi’s woes and smiled.

“You know, this is exactly the kind of thing machine learning can help with,” she said.

Ravi frowned. “Machine… what?”

When to use machine learning – When patterns are too complex for simple rules; Ravi’s sales varied with weather, festivals, and prices.
Machine learning business value – The tangible benefit ML brings; for Ravi, less waste and more profit.

Chapter 3 – The Hunt for Data (Data Selection for Machine Learning — Finding the Right Ingredients)..

The next morning, Asha returned with a steaming cup of chai and a question:

“Ravi, do you have records of how much rice you sold each month?”

Ravi chuckled. “Records? I have this old notebook.”

Inside were scribbles — dates, quantities, prices, even notes like ‘Festival week – sold extra’ or ‘Heavy rain – fewer customers’.

Asha’s eyes lit up.

“This is gold. In ML terms, this is your training data — the raw material your model will learn from, just like a sports analyst studies past match stats before predicting the next game.”

“That’s the third step — identifying ML success criteria. We need to decide how to measure success before we start, the same way an investor decides what ‘good performance’ means before buying a stock.”

Business Metric: Reduction in wasted rice bags per month.

Chapter 5 – The First Prediction

Weeks later, after entering data, cleaning it, and running it through a regression model in Amazon SageMaker, Asha showed Ravi a simple dashboard.

It read:

Next month’s demand: 48 bags (±3)

Ravi stocked 48 bags. By the end of the month, he had sold 49.

He didn’t understand all the technical magic — the ML pipeline, the model evaluation, the AWS cloud computing — but he understood this: For the first time in years, he had no stale rice in the corner.

It was like a farmer in Brazil seeing a coffee yield forecast come true, or a stock analyst watching their price prediction hit the mark.

📘 What We Learned
Regression – A type of ML that predicts numbers; Ravi’s model predicted bags of rice, just as a stock model predicts share prices.
ML pipeline – The sequence of steps from raw data to predictions; Asha’s process from notebook to dashboard was Ravi’s first.
Model evaluation – Checking how close predictions are to reality; Ravi’s 48 vs 49 bags was a strong result.

Next day, when Ravi asked magic She laughed, “You know, Ravi, your rice shop is basically a case study for the exam’s Problem Formulation domain — the same skills you’d need if you were designing a model to predict cricket match attendance in Melbourne or holiday shopping spikes in New York.”

Ravi smiled. “So I’m helping you study, and you’re helping me sell rice. Fair trade.”

The story ends there... Now, let's come to our exam point of view..

The key thing to know is which problem requires ML solution and which one doesn't need it. Which is the foundational for our exam.

Not every problem needs an ML solution. Sometimes, the simplest, most traditional approach is the smartest choice.

If Ravi’s sales had been steady year‑round, with only minor fluctuations, a simple spreadsheet and a bit of common sense might have solved his problem faster and cheaper than building a predictive model. In the same way, a shop in Sydney might just check last year’s summer sales before ordering surfboards, or a coffee exporter in Brazil might rely on decades of harvest records without spinning up an AWS SageMaker instance.

Machine learning shines when:

Patterns are complex and influenced by many factors.
The cost of being wrong is high.
There’s enough quality data to learn from.

But when the problem is straightforward, traditional analytics, domain expertise, and human judgment can be more efficient. The real skill — whether you’re a shopkeeper, a data scientist, or an AWS ML exam candidate — is knowing which tool to use for which job.

Ravi’s story worked out because the problem was a good fit for ML: multiple variables, seasonal changes, and enough historical data to train a model. But the lesson isn’t “always use machine learning.” It’s “always understand the problem first” — and then choose the right approach, whether that’s a cutting‑edge algorithm or a pencil and paper.

Step-by-Step Guide to Upgrade to Kali Linux 2025.3

Step 1: Open Your Terminal

Click the Terminal icon (usually a black screen with a > symbol). You can also press Ctrl + Alt + T to open it.

Step 2: Update Your Package List

This tells Kali to check for the latest available software.

Type this command and press Enter:

sudo apt update

You’ll be asked for your password. Type it carefully (you won’t see it as you type) and press Enter again.

Step 3: Upgrade All Installed Packages

This installs the latest versions of everything—including the core system files.

Type this and hit Enter:

What’s happening:

After rebooting, open the Terminal again and type:

Think of this like downloading your diary before you throw it away.

Click Export all activity history.
A file (called a CSV) will land on your device.
Open it up and you’ll see a list of everything you’ve done in Copilot.

(Remember to delete :D if you dont' want any trace)

Option 2: Delete All Activity History

This is the “wipe it clean” button.

Click Delete all activity history.
A little pop‑up will ask, “Are you sure you want to clear your Copilot activity history?”
If you’re sure — and I mean really sure — hit Clear.

Copilot at the time of writing this post, i found was using the Microsoft Edge only as backend, you can even verify that, by right clicking on your copilot app, select anything like inspect something, it will open in Microsoft edge (even when your default browser might be some other one). So, this is easy method.

Why this works: The Windows Copilot app is powered by the Microsoft Edge browser. Even when it runs as a separate application, its conversations are stored as part of Edge's browser cache. By clearing this cache, you're clearing Copilot's "short-term memory."

first, Open Microsoft Edge

On Windows 10 or 11, look at the bottom‑left of your screen for the Start button (the little Windows logo).
Click it, then start typing Edge.
You’ll see Microsoft Edge appear in the search results — click it to open.
(Tip: If you see an “e”‑shaped blue‑green swirl icon on your desktop or taskbar, that’s Edge. You can click that too.)

What is unsupervised machine learning?

Its just the opposite of Supervised learning. In Supervised learning we had seen that if we provide label to the image like this is car, this is AMD PC, this is Qualcomm Chip and how machine remembers that, same concept. Meaning, there wont be any teacher for it to teach.

Let's see with an example: Imagine you walk into a room full of random items (you can even imagine your home(: books, shoes, snacks, gadgets—no labels, no shelves, just a big mess. Now suppose someone says, “Can you try to organize this?” Even though you don’t know exactly what each item is for, you can still group them based on how they look or seem to relate to each other. You might put all the things that look edible in one pile, electronic stuff in another, and so on.

That’s what unsupervised machine learning does. The computer looks at a bunch of data without any instructions—no labels like “this is a cat” or “this is spam”—and tries to make sense of it by finding patterns. It’s like letting the computer be curious and figure things out on its own.

Instead of telling it, "Hey, these are emails that are junk," you just give it all your emails, and the system starts noticing: "Hmm, these ones have a lot of ‘free money’ and weird links... maybe they belong together."

The more pixels there are, the more detailed the image is, and the more info a computer can gather from it.

So, incase it wants to understand the image is dog?

For unsupervised learning, it won't be told 'this is a dog.' Instead, it will still break down images into pixels. It might then look for patterns: 'Hmm, these pixels often form shapes like pointy ears or a round ears. These images often have similar fur textures.' If it finds many images with these similar pixel patterns, it might group them into a cluster. Later, it might look at that cluster and say, 'Ah, this cluster seems to be all the dogs!' The computer found the pattern on its own, without a label."

This is called Unsupervised learning!

The hard fact that will be difficult to digest is, computer/AI came a long way. It can now create videos with this pattern in seconds when you give keywords/prompt you gave! Im just referring you AI generated videos, think how far we came!

Second is Anomaly Detection / Outlier Detection:

What is this Anomaly detection?

It's when a system says, "Hmm, this one looks weird compared to the rest." Like finding one red sock in a group of white ones, thats called Anomaly detection! This is super useful for fraud detection or monitoring sensor data for unusual behavior. AWS has a specialized built-in algorithm in SageMaker called Random Cut Forest (RCF) specifically for this it seems. Dont' break your head about that for now, we will start reading about that once we covered all basics!

Association Rule Learning :

Its as the name says, computers finding Association between two things. Example: For making Tea, you will have Tea leaves or powder + Water combination. This is called Association rule learning. i.e., Discovering interesting relationships between things that often appear together. This is incredibly useful for speeding up training times and improving the performance of other machine learning models.

There is one another important concept i found when i was referring official documentations lot of people were suggesting its importance , so with that we will conclude this post.

That concept is called Dimensional Reduction. So,

What is this so called Dimensionality Reduction in Machine learning?

Nothing big, if system reduces unwanted information it needs whenever processing large data/pixel then it is called Dimensionality reduction in Machine learning.

Lets go back to our dog image example.. We had seen it will first detect edge pixels, then fur, the line,etc right? Now, if the computer wants to figure out, “Is there a dog here?” but going through every single dot is slow and messy process right? so, it will eliminate unnecessary information it doesnt need.So what does it do? It will start trimming down the photo—keeping just the important parts, like the shape of the ear, the texture of the fur or the round eyes or nose. It ignores things that aren’t helpful—like background grass or clouds—so it doesn’t waste time. This is called dimensionality reduction. It's like simplifying a drawing to just the lines that matter.

Another example if its like excel which has 100 columns about customer, if it needs only few columns for carrying out the activity and removes unnecessary data points, then it is called dimensonality reduction.

How all this is being done? They are done through Algorithms! While the math behind these is complex, the good news is that AWS SageMaker provides these as built-in algorithms, making them easy to use without needing to understand every mathematical detail. For the AWS exam, it's more important to know which algorithm to use for which task

Understanding supervised learning is foundational for anyone aspiring to become an AWS Machine Learning Associate. So, let's dive deep into this core machine learning concept.

Lets say you want a computer to tell whether a photo is of a cat or a dog.

You give it thousands of photos, each labeled as “cat” or “dog.”
It studies them like flashcards.
Later, when you give it a new photo with no label, it guesses what it is based on what it’s learned.

That’s called supervised learning.

This Supervised learning has two types.

What is Classification Problem in Machine learning ?

In a classification problem, the goal is to teach the computer how to assign data to one or more classes, or categories.

Wait, what does this classes mean in A.I?

Classes are nothing but just labels used to describe different kinds of data. They tell the computer what kind of thing it’s looking at.

Example: If we are categorizing the Email as fraud or not then, here Fraud will be called class. So, in this example, there are two classes.

Fraud (Class 1), Not fraud (Class 2)

Another example is whether the particular customer will buy the product or not?

Here will buy is class 1 and will not buy is class 2.'

Now, this classification is also of two types.

1) Binary classification

2) Multi class Classification

What is Binary classification in ML ?

As the name suggest, Binary means only one - Either true or false! Dont confuse much.

In other words, binary classification is a type of classification problem in machine learning where the goal is to sort data into one of two classes—just two options.

Let's see one example based on Covid -19 the one, which we survived! In a hospital setting, an AI system can be trained to analyze COVID-19 test results using thousands of past cases labeled as either “Positive” or “Negative.”

By studying patterns in the data—such as symptoms, oxygen levels, and X-ray images—the AI learns to recognize which indicators point to infection. When a new patient’s information is entered, the system uses what it has learned to predict one of two outcomes: either the patient is COVID-positive (Class A) or COVID-negative (Class B). This is known as binary classification—where the AI sorts each case into one of just two categories.

Okay, What is Multi Class Classification in Machine Learning.?

Here, as multi is coming into picture, its the same way, In multi-class classification, an AI system learns to sort data into more than two categories, not just a simple yes-or-no.

Let's see one example for this too..

Imagine an AI model trained to identify animals from photos. It’s shown thousands of images, each clearly labeled—“Cat,” “Dog,” “Elephant,” “Tiger,” and so on. By learning the features of each animal—like fur patterns, ear shapes, body size, and snouts—it begins to recognize what makes each animal different. So when you show it a new picture of an animal, it doesn’t just say “Is this an animal or not?” (that would be binary). Instead, it picks the most likely label from multiple options. If it sees stripes and pointy ears, it might say “Tiger.” If it spots floppy ears and a wagging tail, “Dog.”

First, what is regression?

Simple, Regression is like making an educated guess based on examples you’ve seen before. Say you’re trying to figure out how much your electricity bill will be next month. You’d look at things like past bills, how hot the weather might be (because of fans or AC), and how many people are home. Using that info, you’d estimate a number—maybe $1,500 (i know u wont spend that much money for electricity, just sharing for example 😂😂)

That’s regression: it’s all about predicting a number based on patterns. Whether you’re guessing someone’s age from their photo, how long a trip will take, or what score you’ll get on a test—it’s like smart guessing backed by past examples.

In a regression problem, the goal is to predict a numerical value based on patterns found in data. Instead of deciding between categories like “cat” or “dog,” the computer estimates things like price, temperature, age, or score.

For example: Imagine an app that helps people estimate the price of a house. It looks at details like how many bedrooms the house has, how big it is, and the neighborhood it’s in. After learning from thousands of past examples, it can guess that a new house might cost ₹1.2 million. It doesn’t say “cheap” or “expensive” — it gives a number.

That’s regression: using data to predict a value. One real word example, you might see is Stock Market. If a website shows this Nasdaq or share of bitcoin will reach $50000000 in 2080 then thats regression!

All this are based on simple Mathematical formula..

Here all x, ie. x0, x1, x2 are called features, and the values in a0, a1, a2,etc are called weights.

Weight represents how important an accurate the feature is for outcome..

hmmm, can you explain more in a simple way i can understand?

Think of features as clues about someone’s preferences. Imagine you're shopping for popcorn online. These clues (features) could be:

The flavor you picked (Caramel? Cheese?)
Whether you like spicy stuff
Your age group
What time you usually buy snacks

All these tiny bits of info are features. They help the system understand you better—like a detective solving the mystery of your taste!

and now you might have guessed about weight..

Weights are like importance scores for each clue.

Let’s say:

The fact that you like cheese flavor? 🤔 Super important!
Your age? No, maybe not as crucial.
Time of day you buy? Medium importance.

Each feature gets a weight, telling the system how much attention to pay to it. High weight = loud voice in the recommendation. Low weight = whisper

Say you just bought cheesy popcorn. The system knows:

Other people who bought cheesy popcorn often also bought soda.
The feature “flavor = cheese” has a high weight.
So it recommends soda to you, because it heavily leans on that cheesy clue!

Step 4: Now, Interpret the score

If it recommends soda after cheesy popcorn and lots of people accept the suggestion → the AI thinks: “Hmm, maybe cheesy flavor is a strong clue.” Optimization (Fancy Word for Tuning) It adjusts the scores using a method called training. Like a chef tweaking ingredients to get the perfect flavor, the AI tweaks weights to get the most accurate recommendations. Final Scores After lots of learning, it settles on scores that give the best results. Those become the weights used in the formula. Think of it this way: the AI doesn’t guess the weights. It watches tons of patterns and finds the combo that works best—just like you finding your perfect movie snack combo 🍫

You may have seen the alarming headlines: “16 BILLION PASSWORDS LEAKED!”

It sounds terrifying. But let’s hit pause and understand what it actually means.

📦 What Actually Happened?

Ever since i seen this news, i started looking into all areas wherever news about the latest databreaches, alerts will be published including some of the forums. And the result, everyone who were searching like me, found it to be just repack of existing breaches! Don't know why all media started hyping them all of sudden! Whatever!! In short! No, hackers didn’t just break into one giant company and steal 16 billion accounts overnight. What really happened is this:

Cybersecurity experts discovered a massive password collection .
These came from past data breaches, old and new.
Some of the newer data was stolen by infostealer malware (we’ll explain that in a bit).

So this isn’t a new mega-breach, but a huge dump of stolen credentials that’s now available for use.

🔓🔓 Do you know RockYou2024?
A massive file with nearly 10 billion leaked passwords. It’s named after a famous older password leak called rockyou.txt

🕵️ What Is an Infostealer?

A type of malware (bad software) that secretly runs on an infected computer or phone and steals login info.

It grabs saved passwords, browser autofill info, credit card details, and more.
Commonly spread through sketchy downloads, fake apps, and phishing emails.

Once it infects a device, the stolen info gets sent to cybercriminals and may end up in leaks like RockYou2025 or RockYou2031.

What Is Credential Stuffing?

A method where hackers take stolen usernames and passwords and try them on other websites, hoping people reused the same login.

Example: If your Gmail and Netflix accounts use the same password, a hacker could get into both if just one is leaked.

Adds a second step — like a code to your phone — when logging in. Even if your password is leaked, this keeps your account safe.

Stores all your logins in one secure place (Friendly advice: Dont put all eggs in same basket, unless you are watching the basket) It can:
