It has been a while since I last posted, been very busy with stuff. Anyway, I’ve been doing sketching during my summer holiday. This is one of them. Wiz Khalifa, I was looking pictures that would challenge me with my drawing skills. Having the facial features and hand involved in this picture and the details of hair and tattoos o chose this one.

It had been a while since I last did a portrait and I’m quite happy with the outcome actually I’m please with it .

Devastated Japan (THE BOOK)

2011-10-05T09:09:00.000-07:00

It been a while since I last posted something and I was just organizing my books and this is what I found. This is a book that I made with the help of my teacher in college. It was one of the four final pieces that I made on my final major project. In this book I have included most of the art works that I did in my sketch book.

2011-09-21T09:24:00.000-07:00

This is one of the first drawing artwork that I've done since I started university. We started with looking at panoramas and this is the second panorama that I did. I started this painting with the question in my mind, what if London was situated in very dry place and this is what I ended up with.

started drawing with pencil

Finished the drawing

went over with fine liner

Added some cracked land to represent dryness

started painting using watercolor

and a final outcome

Stay Tight

2011-08-04T09:19:00.000-07:00

This is a sketch of Simon & Jenna's Wedding portrait. It was quite challenging one to draw because of the fabric and hair details. Instead of using the usual technique (smudging) I used cross hatching to put details and shadows in the sketch, which made the sketch sharper. The most challenging part of this sketch was Jenna's tiaras and the fabric.
On the whole I am very pleased with the outcome I think it looks like them.

BOA'S Illustration

2011-07-21T09:03:00.000-07:00

After doing the rough sketch of the portrait i began to paint it using water colour and black and white as a base colour. After spending few hours a day it took me four days to finish this painting. It was a challenging one to painting because of the details on the accessories but it wasn’t impossible so, this is the final outcome. Hope you like it.

The Last Gift

2011-07-16T15:09:00.000-07:00

We all change with the time both physically and mentally it’s only matter of time. In last two years I have changed a lot as an artist and a person. Thanks to Jane (tutor) who was always helpful and caring. After spending two years together at college it was time for me to leave. I wanted to leave something that would remind her of us other then the good old memories. I was really confused on what to give her and this idea came on my mind, which I thought would be perfect. So, I took pictures of the whole class with the tutor, then paintied it and gave it to her on the last meal. best tutor in the world, gonna miss you..<3

This is an illustration of someone who is crossed with his son because of the things he heard from others about his son whether it is true or not. The other guy at the back is his son who is afraid of telling the truth so his mouth is closed.

BOA

2011-07-16T08:41:00.000-07:00

It’s been a while since I drew a portrait of some famous. This is a sketch of BOA. I drew it on brown board because it's different and gives more natural look to the drawing. I haven’t put many details on the drawing because I will be painting this drawing with watercolour. So, I didn’t want to confuse and make my life difficult while painting.

Fashion show

2011-07-02T15:14:00.000-07:00

It was very nerve racking day from the start to finish. It was the first time I went to a room full of girls lol... felt weird but everyone was doing their work so. I just went to help my friend AJ.

It started with getting all the models and doing their make ups, dressing them up and practicing the walk. due to the change of plan and how things went some models were late for the practice and to see whether the music timing was correct or not.I had to walk too, not very pleasant moment but had a laugh.

It took quite a lot of preparation and practice to come up with this show. It was a good laugh, had fun and experience on fashion field.

DEVASTATED JAPAN

2011-06-28T04:15:00.000-07:00

It was a normal day for me, woke up and had breakfast while watching TV and the heart breaking news on. It was so sad watching the disaster in Japan. God bless Japan

March 11 2011 the day that broke Japan apart. A massive 9.0 magnitude hit Japan, It was the most powerful known earthquake to have hit Japan, and one of the five most powerful earthquakes in the world overall since modern record-keeping began in 1900.

At college I was given a brief for a final major project, where I had to write our own brief for the project. I wanted to do something that is has happened recently and the Tsunami in Japan was the major thing that stroke me at the time. So, I decided to use the theme of devastated Japan for the final major project and these are some of my developmental illustration for the project.

A Man and a dog with mask because of the Nuclear meltdown and a crushed car

Rescue team finds a baby alive

A damaged ship in the land

Mother lifts her dead daughter

Rescue team gets ready to face the disaster

She lost all her hope

These are some of my illustration that show a little bit of what happened and what was the effect of it both physically and mentally.. May God Bless Japan...
