CEDAR POINT ANNOUNCES NEW FLOORLESS ROLLER COASTER FOR 2015!!!

Say goodbye to the Mantis and hello to the new floorless roller Coaster, Rougarou! Cedar Point, The Roller Coaster Capital of the World!®, will introduce a dynamically new riding experience when it unleashes Rougarou™ in the spring of 2015!

Named after a terrifying werewolf-like creature in French folklore, Rougarou [roo-guh-roo] feeds on screams and lurks in and around the swampy lagoon at the center of the park, shared with other coasters like Iron Dragon and Top Thrill Dragster.

Rougarou’s floorless trains will take riders on an epic journey at speeds reaching 60 mph as their feet dangle just inches above the track and the murky waters below. The trains will be manufactured by Bolliger & Mabillard, Monthey, Switzerland, the same team behind rides like Raptor and GateKeeper, and will transform the ride experience dramatically while utilizing the structure and track of the former Mantis roller coaster.

The ride will begin with a climb to the top of the 145-foot-tall first hill, providing optimal views of the Cedar Point skyline. After reaching the peak, the trains will make a 180-degree turn to the right and plummet 137 feet, at a 52-degree angle, to within inches above the water. Thrill-seekers caught in Rougarou’s grasp will then be flipped upside-down by a 119-foot-tall vertical loop, spun around a 103-foot-tall dive loop, whipped around a highly-banked 360-degree turn and then twisted upside-down again by the world’s only inclined loop on a floorless coaster, angled at a wicked 45 degrees. 2015 will also mark the debut of the newly-renovated Hotel Breakers. Located along the mile-long Cedar Point Beach, Hotel Breakers will complete its two-year transformation into the ultimate resort destination. Along with a new exterior, the modernized hotel will have a new entrance portal, classic interior finishes, newly-furnished and remodeled rooms with LCD TV’s, new furniture, bedding and décor, and many other amenities and offerings. I am a makeup junkie. I love trying all different kinds of products and a huge fan of changing my look from day to day. Today I’m going to review Urban Decay Eyeshadow make-up primer potion- original. This product is fantastic.

The Original primer potion is great if you’re like me and have both matte and shimmery eye-shadows and like to switch it up often throughout the weeks. You just take barely a pea size amount, rub it in, let it dry, and you’re ready to go.

All day my makeup stays put and the color lasts forever, even when I am running around waiting tables on a busy Saturday night. My make-up never slides, never creases, never so much as smudges the entire time I am working. This is honestly the best primer I have found, and the most versatile as well. It keeps your mattes flat and even with no creases, and your shimmeries sparkly all day long.

The only draw back to this product is when it says it offers 24 hours of lasting coverage, it means it. I ran out of makeup remover and it takes forever to get all of my eye make- up off after work.

My Favorite Natural Remedies to Deal With My MS Symptoms

In 2006 I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) which caused me to drop out of school. It took me months to find a medication and fight with the companies to cover the 3,000 a month for my interferon. After a few months they stopped sending my medication and when I called I was told there was a recall on it and they had to switch me to something else. My new injections caused me terrible pain to the point where I couldn't sleep. However my doctor refused to switch me and told me to just take Tylenol to relieve the pain. After almost a year of this I had had it. I started looking into alternative medicine and researching my illness. There is so much out there that my doctor never even told me about even after I asked about more natural remedies that wouldn't kill my body and leave me unable to function at work. Here are some of the things I found that worked great for me.

Bilberry leaves and berries- You can find these in tea, pills, or certain areas as fresh fruit. When I lived in the south I loved to eat them, now I have to settle for the pills, which you can find at any health foods store or online. These berries are rich in anti-oxidants and helped a lot with the inflammation the interferon was causing on my joints. My personal favorite is natures answer, which you can find for about $15.00 USD

Dandelions – This plant was a huge energy booster for me. My biggest problem with MS was tremors and fatigue (especially in the summer time.) Dandelion tea is wonderful and very refreshing during those hotter days. My favorite is the Yogi brand tea which you can find for about $6.00 USD

DHA- DHA is an omega-3 fatty acid that can normally be found in fish. (if you don’t like fish they have plenty of tasteless pills for you to try) I take my DHA in prenatal vitamins. It has so many awesome benefits, Brain development for you and your fetus (if you’re pregnant of course), Anti-inflammation to help with those achy days. The fatty acids help with muscle activity and blood flow.

Marijuana- Now obviously this isn’t legal in all states and I am certainly not telling anyone to commit a crime by purchasing illegal substances, but if you can, It’s worth a try. I’m not a huge fan of smoking the product. It makes my shakes worse and leaves me paranoid. I prefer to ingest it in my food or make tea out of it. My MS tremors almost completely stop and depending on the kind of marijuana I can either be productive, or sleepy. If you want to use it to relax I recommend something with a higher THC content and a low CBD. If you want it more for productivity I recommend a high CBD content and a low THC. You always want to talk to a dispensary worker to find the product that best fits your needs.

With any natural remedy you have trial and error. These are just some of the products I found that worked awesome for me. Most of these are not immediate and may take a few days or weeks to show any kind of results. Please also check with your doctor before beginning any of these to make sure it doesn't interfere with other medications.

My dog, Karma, is a very special girl. Karma is a 3 1/2 year old American Mastiff that was born with a serious heart condition. At first the Veterinarians thought she just had a minor heart murmur, but after a visit to the doggie cardiologist all hope had vanished. She was basically diagnosed with heart failure because of how bad the condition of her heart was. Karma was given no more than 9 months to live; the doc's all figured her heart would give out before she made it to her first birthday. My heart was broken. Just two months earlier, my very best friend and first dog, Buster, had passed away from a stroke. He was only 5 years old and not a single person could tell me why he seemed to age so fast. So here I was, trembling from the thought of having to go through this all over again. Everyone told me to just have her *bleep* (I can't bear to say that awful word) but I wasn't going to give up on her.

I had just started a ton of research on why a fairly healthy 55lb dog could possible age so fast. What I found just absolutely disgusted me...

Most dogs, let me rephrase that, ALL dogs are allergic to wheat, corn, and soy products. If that's the case then why do "big brand" dog food companies list wheat, corn, or soy as one of the first ingredients on their labels? Because the FDA and AAFCO only make sure that all the ingredients are labeled on all dog food products. They do NOT pay attention to the source or safety of the ingredients thrown into most dog foods. So what are you feeding your dogs? Probably a form of wheat, corn, or soy, and by-products, beef, artificial coloring, animal digest, bone meal, salt, sweeteners, and a ton of preservatives among many other unnecessary ingredients.

Wheat, Corn, or Soy- Like I said before, a major allergen for ALL dogs.
By-products- Consists of the dry, ground, rendered, clean parts of the carcass of slaughtered chicken, such as necks, feet, undeveloped eggs, and intestines.
Animal Digest- Undecomposed animal tissue. The animal tissues used are usually hair, horns, teeth, hooves and feathers.
Beef- Dogs have just as much of an issue digesting beef as we humans do.
Animal meal- Such as Chicken, beef, bone, etc. The rendered tissues, including bone, blood, hair, hoof, horn, hide trimmings, manure, stomach and rumen contents.
Salt- "While salt is a necessary mineral, it is also generally present in sufficient quantities in the ingredients pet foods include. Just like for humans, too much sodium intake is unhealthy for animals. In poor quality foods it is often used in large amounts to add flavor and make the food more interesting."
Sweeteners-"Sugar or sweetener is an absolutely unnecessary ingredient in pet foods, added to make the product more attractive. Continuous intake can promote hypoglycemia, obesity, nervousness, cataracts, tooth decay, arthritis and allergies. Pets also get addicted to foods that contain sugars, so it can be a tough job trying to get them to eat something healthier."

Now let me ask you this, would you feed that to a member of your family? What I'm getting at here is that I was slowly killing my own dog, Buster, by feeding him that crap on a regular basis. As soon as I got word that Karma only had so long to live, I made it my mission to keep her as healthy and happy as possible. I switched to an all organic dog food which possibly prolonged the life of my very fragile Mastiff. Karma is now 3 1/2 years old and still going strong. One of my favorite things about babies is their smell. I love to cuddle up with my daughter and just breathe in her scent, especially after bath time. Every time I go to the store to buy bath products for my daughter I have to smell all the products and I get extremely frustrated when I can't find a natural bath product that smells decent. I want my daughter to smell great but I also want a more natural product, especially since some have been known to cause cancer (or so they say). I live in a part of Ohio that isn't far (about an hour away) from a town with a huge unexplained cancer cluster problem found in children. That makes me very nervous! Even though we're an hour away from this town it still makes me think and worry about the well-being of my child. I could never in a million years imagine something happening to my precious baby girl. Something like that is seriously a mother's worst nightmare and I feel so deeply for any parent that has to ever go through something like that.

Getting my daughter to eat is always such a hassle. I don't want her to make a mess but she insists on feeding herself or she doesn't eat at all. I wasn't quite sure how she would feel about the Baby Gourmet brand but as long as I let her carry it around, she loves it. So far there is not a single flavor that my daughter does not like and I hate to admit but I've tasted them as well and they're actually pretty delicious for baby food. Baby Gourmet has a great selection of flavors in stages 1-3 from Tropical Banana Bliss to Apple, Sweet Potato, and Berry Swirl. They also have protein puree's available that are loaded with the essential proteins every child needs to grow strong muscles.

Cauliflower Crust Pizza Recipe

Are you gluten free or trying to eat cleaner? If so, I have the perfect recipe for you! My family and I tried this out last night and it was a huge hit!

It's very hard to get my 3 year old to sit down and eat during dinner but last night, she didn't budge and even asked for seconds. My fiancé is just as hard to please when it comes to dinner. He's very picky and not easily impressed but he loved this recipe. Even if you aren't watching your diet, this is still a fantastic meal made from scratch that your family is sure to enjoy!

Ingredients:

Crust

1 head of organic cauliflower

1 tbs of fresh minced garlic

1 tbs of dry Italian seasoning

1 large free-range egg

1/4 cup of organic Mozzarella

Topping

4 oz. of organic pizza sauce

8 oz. of chopped organic mushrooms (steamed lightly)

1/2 lb. of free-range chicken breast (boiled and shredded)

1 cup of organic Mozzarella

Heat the oven to 350°F then line a large cookie sheet with parchment paper greased with olive oil or coconut oil.

Rice the head of cauliflower with a cheese grater. The result should look like a pile of Quinoa.

Place riced cauliflower in a microwave safe bowl and heat on high for about 4-5 minutes to cook.

Add garlic, dry Italian seasoning, and egg and mix well by hand.

Add Mozzarella and continue mixing until ingredients are combined.

Next, pour the mixture onto your parchment paper. Spread and flatten mixture evenly with a spatula to make a thin layer.

Bake for 30 minutes or until golden brown. Pull out of the oven and flip the crust carefully onto another sheet of greased parchment paper.

Spread thin layer of pizza sauce over crust. Sprinkle the rest of your ingredients on top and pop back in the oven for 10 more minutes or until cheese is melted.

Pull out of the oven and let cool for 5 minutes to allow the crust to harden a bit and enjoy!

I promise you, there won't be any leftovers and the kids won't even notice a difference from regular pizza. Hope you enjoy!
