Powder Room Makeover

We are settling into our new home (finally!!!) and I’ve been loving the blank canvas I have to decorate. It’s been loads of fun! Today I wanted to share the only room in our house that is completely done AND completely decorated… The Powder Room! Yes, it is the smallest room in the house, but hey, baby steps on turning this house into a home, right?!

Powder Room Makeover

I absolutely LOVE my powder room! And it’s the first room people see when they come in the front door. So I am stoked to have it looking put together and functional. Which cannot be said about other rooms yet (looking at you, Great Room! ha!).

So silly me did not think to get a before picture. It had a pedestal sink (why. Why do builders still insist on putting pedestal sinks in powder rooms? I don’t know about you, but we gotta store that TP somewhere!!) So we added a cute little vanity, cute round mirror, rug, fiddle leaf fig faux plant, and a hanging canvas. Nothing crazy or anything. We did have to get a new faucet because the one in the pedestal sink didn’t work with the vanity top. But other than that, everything was pretty straight forward.

And I know you’re wondering, we had the builder install the floor to ceiling shiplap. Which dresses up this tiny room so much! Very happy with that decision!

I am not sure what style you’d label this bathroom, but I feel like it’s a mix of a few. I’d love to hear your thoughts on whether its Boho, Farmhouse, Modern, Mid-Century, etc.

Raspberry Sweet Rolls Recipe

I shared a picture of these delicious Raspberry Swirl Sweet Rolls on my Instagram and everyone went nuts over them! I ended up sharing the recipe on IG and I thought I’d share the recipe on here too since it was such a hit on social media.

Raspberry Sweet Rolls

These Raspberry Swirl Rolls are to amazing! They have a little zing from the raspberries tucked inside a delicious buttery, sweet roll and when you frost them with cream cheese frosting, fireworks go off in your mouth. Seriously. These are that good. My family is obsessed with homemade cinnamon rolls, but that just got replaced with these amazing sweet rolls. I hope you’ll try them!

I use a bread machine to make the dough, but if you’re a bread whiz and want to do it manually, knock yourself out.

Raspberry Swirl Rolls Recipe

Prepare Rolls

1 cup milk, slightly warmed
1 egg
1/4 cup butter, softened
2 T sugar or honey
2 3/4 cups flour
1 t salt
2 t yeast
Add ingredient in order into bread machine. Use dough setting. Prepare Raspberry Filling while bread machine does its thing.

Raspberry Filling

12 oz frozen raspberries
2 T sugar or honey
2 T water
Dash salt (optional)
1 T corn starch

Combine raspberries, sugar, water, and salt (optional) in a small pan. Warm over medium-high heat. When raspberries are soft, lightly mash them and then add corn starch. Heat until thick and bubbly. Allow to cool.

Assemble Rolls

When dough is ready, use additional flour as needed to roll it out to about 1/2” thick. Melt 1/4 cup butter and spread over dough. Spread raspberry filling over dough then roll to create a log. Cut into 1.5” thick slices. Place in greased baking dish. Allow to raise for about 30 mins. Bake at 350 degrees for 25-30 mins. Remove from oven and allow to cool. Then smother with homemade cream cheese frosting.

Cream Cheese Frosting

8oz cream cheese, softened
1 T butter, softened
1 t vanilla
1-2 T milk
2-3 cups powdered sugar

Place ingredients in mixing bowl, and mix until combined. Adjust powdered sugar to your desired consistency.

These amazing Raspberry Sweet Rolls are lick-the-bowl-clean good! I hope you enjoy them! We enjoyed them the whole 5 minutes they lasted. ha!

Farmhouse Spring Wreath

This happy spring wreath is a perfect welcome to guests. I kind of kept it on the down low, but we moved a couple weeks ago and we are just getting settled into our new home. So that’s the reason for the radio static haha. But I’m excited to be back on here and sharing more crafty and creative things with you again!

DIY Spring Wreath Tutorial

With the holidays brings Christmas Parties and Gatherings. Today I’m going to share with you a Free Printable Christmas ice breaker slash group activity slash group Christmas Game that you can use to make your holiday gatherings a little extra fun! All you have to do is print off this cute Christmas Trivia Game Cards set!

My awesome assistant, Jessi, designed the cutest set of Christmas Trivia Cards ever, right?! That snowman is adorable!

And so many fun Christmas trivia questions. There’s a good mix of questions, so it’s perfect for all ages. It will make the adults think and the kids giggle.

I used my new Craft Printer, the Canon TS9521C to print off these cards. I LOVE that this printer can print up to 12″x12″. Perfect for printing larger format projects AND you can even print on your 12×12 scrapbook paper! Oh and the TS9521C printer has scanning and copying capabilities, so it’s also great for everyday use.

Christmas Game Printable

You can use these cards a couple different ways (that I can think of! I’m sure you can find other ways too!).

Christmas Trivia Game :: The printables are designed so that if you select 2 sided printing, the answers will print on the back of the question card. Then all you have to do is cut them apart! To play, split into teams and take turns asking questions. Whoever gets the most correct, wins!

Memory Matching Game :: If you want to use the cards as a memory game, simply print the answers and the questions on different sheets of paper and cut them apart. To play, simply lay the cards (both the answers and the questions) face down and take turns picking up 2 at a time until you find the question and answer pair.

*If you wanted to go the extra mile, you could laminate the cards for better durability.

Gangsta Wrapper DIY Christmas Shirt

Gangsta Wrapper Christmas Shirt

I like to wrap precisely 3 presents each year. After that, I’m totally fine putting the gifts in plastic bags and tying the handles together. LOL. Wrapping isn’t my favorite thing, but it is totally better when you’re rocking a cool Gangsta Wrapper shirt, Christmas music, and snacking on Christmas yummies. Are you Team Wrap All The Things?

I used my Silhouette Cameo to create a stencil for my shirt. (Shirt is from Michaels) Then used two coats of black fabric paint. I like to blast the fabric paint with a hair dryer to hurry up the drying time and then peel off the vinyl. Super easy to create a custom Christmas t-shirt with my Silhouette Cameo!
