hello every body, hope all is well. now i provide a very interesting & funny tutorial for you.

when your keyboard does not work properly. you need to change it. but you fallen this type problem but in hurry, you need to finish your work quickly. so, don't worry click start menu click run.

run window will be appear. now compose in open : osk. and click ok. on-screen keyboard window will be appear.

now you can every thing which you can doing your keyboard.

ok let's we will be learn about osk.

on screen keyboard is a welcome edition and has proved useful for huge of my clients. but like most of windows accessibility options and utilities there are limitations meaning that many users will need to upgrade to a commercial on-screen keyboard.

the above is a screenshot of windows xp's osk displayed original size. it is lightly straight forward but does have some features and limitations that require some further investigation.

it is very important to adapt a computer screen so that it is visually accessible and comfortable for your pupil. only limited adjustments can be made to this on-screen keyboard mostly because the window is a fixed size. it is possible to enlarge and change the font typeface by selecting 'fonts' from the settings menu but the size of the letters is limited by the fixed size of the keys.
it is not easy/possible to change the colors of the letters or the keys with in the program itself but one can resort to using the windows control panel to define a new 'global' color scheme across windows as a whole. for some reason known only to microsoft, the osk keys use '3d objects' to define fore color and 'menus' for the background. these can be set in the advanced section under appearance in the control panel's display applet. try not to be put off by the word 'advanced', i have more information on this in my guide to fine-tuning the windows display.

i was quite surprised when i first received windows xp and found that it had an on-screen keyboard bundled with it. i found out that it could be accessed using a switch although it has some limitations the windows osk is free and can prove capable for many users, especially for those who are struggling to find the resources needed to purchase the fairly expensive commercial keyboards.

the keyboard can be put into a 'block' mode where each row of keys is divided into three columns. this allows more efficient row-column scanning as a pupil wouldn't have to scan all the way from 'a' through 'o' in order to get 'p'. for some users it might be best to keep the regular layout.
windows xp can accept joystick input or from the keyboard it accepts space, enter or any one of the f1--f12 keys. the first input starts the scan and the second then selects the group with the third accepting the desired key. this can be seen in the image above, where the scanning highlight has reached the rtyui block. this is a fairly basic type of single-switch scanning - the keyboard does not accept two-switch scanning.
for these users you would need to use commercial software like clicker or the grid, the latter especially offers many advanced and intuitive switch access techniques but isn't, quite understandably. another xp limitation is the layout of the letters. they have been set out to emulate a standard keyboard which makes it faster for mouse users who are already familiar with the qwerty layout. switch users will find this very frustrating, however, as they would often be better off with a layout that corresponds with frequency of use, starting with the letter 'e' in the top left corner and working down.

many on-screen keyboards can be customized. extra keys can be added to provide whole words or sentences or 'macro' scripts that perform a function such as turning on a lamp or shutting down the computer. keys can even link to extra 'pages' of the keyboard that provide whole new layouts of custom-made keys.

most on-screen keyboards such as the grid, penfriend and click n type provide space on the keyboard for prediction. the prediction software works by analysing your high frequency words and providing suggestions as you type the first one or two letter, or even as you complete the previous word. this can be of enormous benefit to on-screen keyboard users as the number of virtual keystrokes saved cuts down on physical exertion and greatly accelerates the overall typing rate.
many on-screen keyboards provide audio output of the keys as they are highlighted through the scanning. this is very useful for reading difficulties.
the windows xp on-screen keyboard has no audio output other than an optional 'click' noise each time a key is pressed. this audio feedback can help some users as they don't need to move their eyes to check that their letter has appeared in the client application, but the program does not support audio curing while scanning or hovering over keys.
the keys on the windows xp osk automatically scale up to fill the window when it is forcibly resized. this when i set the menu fonts to extra large and noticed that the keys all remained within the fixed window and reduced in size equal to one another.
it is possible to maximise the osk even though there isn't a maximise button. this can be accomplished through the windows task manager which can usually be accessed by pressing: ctrl + alt + del
unfortunately it is then impossible to see any other program in windows whilst using the keyboard. you can return the keyboard to its standard size by double-clicking on the title bar.
i might be able get round this problem by temporarily adjusting the screen work area as dockable windows such as the taskbar and google's sidebar manage, but unfortunately the osk is not well behaved and does not check this system parameter when it is maximized.

hello guys, hope all is well. today we will learn how we can able to change date & time for windows operating system.

there are three ways to do it. for example 1. from bios, 2. from task bar, 3. from control panel.

i describe all three step for you. so, don't worry. ok let's start.

1. from bios

i'm use award modular normal bios. when you puss power on switch your pc. a black screen will be appear. you show below type screen.

press for entering the bios setup. bios main page will be appear.

select standard cmos features and press enter key. standard cmos features will be appear.

now select month & press page up key button for previous month or press page down key button for next month or you can press numeric figure as you like (example: if press 12 digit, the month will be dec). so, select numeric or page up/page down for changing the month which you want.

now select date & press page up key button for previous date or press page down key button for next date or you can press numeric figure as you like (example: if press 25 digit, the date will be 25). so, select numeric or page up/page down for changing the date which you want.

now select year & press page up key button for previous year or press page down key button for next year or you can press numeric figure as you like (example: if press 2012 digit, the year will be 2012). so, select numeric or page up/page down for changing the year which you want.

now select hour & press page up key button for previous hour or press page down key button for next hour or you can press numeric figure as you like (example: if press 23 digit, the hour will be 23). so, select numeric or page up/page down for changing the hour which you want.

now select minute & press page up key button for previous minute or press page down key button for next minute or you can press numeric figure as you like (example: if press 51 digit, the minute will be 51). so, select numeric or page up/page down for changing the minute which you want.

now select second & press page up key button for previous second or press page down key button for next second or you can press numeric figure as you like (example: if press 15 digit, the second will be 15). so, select numeric or page up/page down for changing the second which you want.

all are done. press esc (escape) key for exit standard cmos features. bios main page will be appear. now select save & exit setup & press enter key.

save to cmos and exit (y/n)? y will be appear.

press y for save it & press enter.

2. from task bar

you see cock in your pc at the right side of task bar. double click this clock. date & time properties window appears. here you change date & time then click apply & ok.

3. from control panel

click start > control panel

control panel window appears. double click date & time.

date & time properties window appears.

Impact of hard drive shortage to linger through 2013

Lenovo out of 7200rpm replacement hard drives

Hard disk drive supply shortages in the wake of Thailand flooding will continue to affect consumers, computer system manufacturers and corporate IT shops into 2013, according to market research firm IDC.
This week, Lenovo sent an email to its corporate IT customers telling them it is out of a number of hard disk drives, including the highly popular 7,200-rpm models.

In the email obtained by Computerworld, a Lenovo representative stated that customers who normally purchase systems with 160GB 7,200-rpm drives, or various other drives that are unavailable, will have to settle for "off-spec" drives.

The Lenovo representative said the hard drive supply chain remains fluid and is monitored daily by the company's executives.

"Akin to the hysteria when banks defaulted in the 1930[s], PC orders across the industry are being placed for which HD supply does not exist," the rep wrote. "The Lenovo Global Supply Chain (GSC) Team is providing updates throughout each day. In this regard, we will all have to be flexible and adjust expectations. Simply put, the configuration to which you have been accustomed, unfortunately may now be in default, and we'll have to adjust our configuration and build a system that has an available hard drive," the email stated.

Lenovo said it will swap unavailable drives for another product the industry can still provide, such as a 5,400-rpm model. Even then, customers will have to wait an additional 45 to 60 days for those drives to become available, the email stated.

According to the Lenovo email, the drives that are unavailable for some ThinkPad laptops include 750GB 5,200-rpm models and those with configurations of 320GB 5,400-rpm, 250GB 7,200-rpm and 160GB 7,200-rpm.

Lenovo did not respond to a request for comment by deadline.

"I think, in part, what you're seeing from Lenovo is an indication of what we can expect for the next six months. There will be drives available but not the ones you want," Rydning said.
Hardest hit

Western Digital, the largest producer of hard drives, was hit the hardest by the Thailand flooding. IDC predicts that up to 75% of its production will be temporarily shut down.

Four industrial parks were hit the hardest by the flooding, which began in the northern part of Thailand and worked its way south. Farthest north is the Rojana Industrial Park, which has since been drained of floodwaters and is coming back online. Hitech, which makes drive components, has also been drained. Bangpa-in, Western Digital's largest hard drive production facility, was partially affected. And Navanakorn, where both Western Digital and Toshiba perform hard drive assembly, is still being affected by the floodwaters.

Today's computer viruses, threats going ballistic

While humans take vaccines to combat a virus like the flu, computers aren't as lucky, because there are no quick-fix vaccines for them, and even after hours of working to rid a computer of a virus, there's no immunity for the computer from catching the same virus or associated problem again.
That's when computer repair shops and well-trained technicians, such as those found at KenputerGuru on Water Street in Henderson, come in handy. Infections are a growing problem in even greater growing numbers.
"About 50 percent of my customer base comes in with virus problems," KenputerGuru owner Ken Goldberg, who has more than 30 years of computer experience, said. "The remainder is network and hard drive problems, but viruses clearly are what we work on the most here in the shop."
A question arising out of a situation like this is why is the virus issue such a problem that it creates "job security" for Goldberg and his two bench technicians, Blaine Stover and Mike Frost?
Three reasons are the sheer number of viruses out there, the relative ease in creating a virus and the computer operators themselves.
"Right now, there are about 300 viruses an hour being generated," Goldberg said. "And those viruses are being reverse engineered by about 10,000 antivirus employees."
Antivirus employees help to detect and evaluate the different viruses as they come across the Internet.

TrendMicro is a 22-year-old Tokyo-based firm with offices in Cupertino, Calif., part of the Silicon Valley. The company, which has some staggering numbers involving virus creation, supports a vision "… of making the world safe for exchanging digital information."
As of Oct. 4, it reported more than 24,300 viruses being generated within a 24-hour period and, in the past 30 days, nearly 28 million new viruses were created.
In 30 days, TrendMicro says North America created 15.3 million viruses, and Asia engineered more than 9 million viruses, making those continents Nos. 1 and 2 with almost 86 percent of all new viruses created worldwide.
What helps in leading to all those viruses is the ability to gather information on how to make a computer virus.
Goldberg demonstrated on his business computer how easy it is to get such information.
"It's too easy to build one, because all you do is Google 'how to make a virus,'" he said. "You can find a gazillion ways. I just tried, and here, within a second, I got 472 million results for 'how to make a virus.'"
When asked who's generating viruses to the degree that it has become such a popular avocation among some people, Goldberg said it's frustrated kids who are sitting at home in their basements looking for something to do and upset old men who are unhappy with life, but, he added, a normal person would never Google this. "If everybody was malicious, I wouldn't exist," he said. "Most people are good and won't associate with those types. These other people just want to have some fun or recognition. They're jerks."
Then there are the three types of viruses and threats that computer owners themselves can install on their computers—adware, malware and spyware—most of the time unknowingly. Adware are those benign but annoying pop-ups that try to sell you something while covering the information you really want to see on the screen. Adware also can collect information about the user in order to display advertisements in the Web browser.
Then there is malware, which is software. It is like a worm in that affects emails, and it is designed specifically to damage or disrupt a system. Spyware, a malicious program, is similar to a Trojan Horse, in that users unwittingly install the product when they install something else.
Spyware works like adware but is usually a separate program that is installed unknowingly when you install another freeware-type program or application. Once installed, the spyware monitors user activity on the Internet and transmits that information in the background to someone else. Spyware also can gather information about email addresses and even passwords and credit card numbers, according to Webopedia, an Internet dictionary. So, when talking viruses, know that there are subtle differences among terms, says Webopedia. A virus is a program or piece of code that is loaded onto your computer without your knowledge and runs against your wishes.
A Trojan Horse is a destructive program that masquerades as a benign application. Unlike viruses, Trojan Horses do not replicate themselves. A worm is a program that replicates itself over a computer network and usually performs malicious actions, such as using up the computer's resources and possibly shutting the system down.
A blended threat combines the characteristics of viruses, worms, Trojan Horses and malicious code with server and Internet vulnerabilities. A blended thread can do multiple malicious acts, like modify your exe files, HTML files and registry keys at the same time—basically it can cause damage within several areas of your network at one time. Blended threats are considered to be the worst risk to security since the inception of viruses, as most blended threats also require no human intervention to propagate.
To combat these threats, Goldberg advises buying good quality antivirus software, such as Kasperksy, Norton or McAfee, but not free antivirus protection that pops up on your screen. "Like your daddy told you," Goldberg said, "there's no such thing as a free lunch, so take those ads with a grain of salt."
