Gracias a la tenacidad de sus habitantes, logró levantarse nuevamente en menos de dos años. En honor a esta lucha, se celebra cada año la Fiesta de las Flores y de las Frutas, en los días de <a href="https://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carnaval" style="background: none; color: #0b0080; text-decoration-line: none;" title="Carnaval">Carnaval</a>.
