In A Foreign Land

2013-10-03T14:05:00.003-07:00

For the past few years, I've been living in a foreign land. For security reasons, I cannot reveal where I am. I also feel as if it's not my right to spray on the walls here. If I were a little better, I would. Maybe it's actually because I lack the confidence.

Either way, I still am very in love with graffiti. Recently, it's been leaning more towards caligraffiti. I will be posting the tags or caligraffiti that I have produced electronically.

Borneo Post Kuching Street Art Feature, Sorta

2011-06-18T23:00:00.000-07:00

Borneo post has non-deliberately featured one of my scribblings ( I say scribblings because it's the one I just did without really thinking, so it was basically crap )

HAPPY Graffiti Stencil in Kuching

2011-06-10T02:33:00.000-07:00

Behind the building that houses McDonald's near 'Town' , more specifically, behind the Chinese shop that sells shark fins and bird nests, is this stencil. It has been up for years. Too bad now it's been pasted over.

On its left is a tag.

Opposite the wall, on part of a structure of Tun Jugah are more stencils, much newer than the above on. But the same style. Perhaps , the same street artist?

FRIEND STENCIL

Graffiti Stencil in Kuching ( Town Area )

2011-06-10T02:21:00.000-07:00

In the area popularly known as "Town" ( Riverside, Sarawak Plaza, Tun Jugah, etc ) . This stencil is located outside of KFC Riverside, near the stairs. It resembles a barbwire. Barb. Reminds me of Pamela Anderson.

Graffiti Tag on Nottingham Malaysia Campus

2011-06-10T02:17:00.000-07:00

An associate of mine has kindly given me this photo. This is at University of Nottingham in Malaysia (UNiM) at Semenyih, Selangor. This particular tag is located near the on campus residence. Near where the shuttle bus waits for the student. So even in a higher learning place graffiti is much needed.

Graffiti in Kuching: Getting Back My Graff Legs (Tag + THINK stencil)

2011-01-19T06:52:00.000-08:00

At the tunnel underneath Padang Merdeka, was a puddle of water. But guess what, the tunnel's been repainted white. My old stuff is gone. Well hey! I have one more chance to paint better! But it was flooded at that time.

What do you see? I see a lot of space to turn into my canvas.

Admittedly, I wasn't good yet, and because I haven't been pushing down the nozzle of the spray paint can in months, I am now worse. But now I'm back for good. No more holidays. Full time.

Here are some vandalism pictures.

Evidence that some kids are playing with the wrong cans.

The masterpiece...sorta

This was not pre-planned. I just reached the place, and wanted to do something. Kinda like a tag. Looks like the work of a toy right? Maybe I am. But I won't be for long.

I've also been a little out of practice with stenciling.. I might explore hand drawn stencils from now on.

Can you spot where I am at? You get a special prize if you do!

Everything done in broad daylight. Below is a picture of a marker tag that's been on the wold the old post office for quite some time already.

You can call me a noob, but I can't read that. lol. CHRIE?

Graffiti tags in Kuching

Spotted this one last year, but it was covered up with some tourims banners before I could take a photo of it. Now it's off.
(At the barriers of the construction site besides Parkson)

DEMON graffiti paint

2011-01-07T02:33:00.000-08:00

I'm not very good at painting, but this was fun. Keep an eye out for it in the streets, it may grow bigger.

Graffiti in Kuching

I post here because I don't go around in facebook saying " OOO, i do graffiti, i'm bloody cool"
that's just a desperate cry of attention.
I post here because I DO GRAFFITI. I don't use it as a tool to gain other things. I simply do.
Now do you get that?

Hello guys. For the few of you that have frequented here, i apologize for the lack of new content. With SPM nearing, it's hard to get free time. But i have been sketching shapes every now and then , so hopefully you will be able to see the improvement when i get back into action. Please drop a comment to let me know you were here!

Graffiwhat?

2010-07-10T01:53:00.000-07:00

the events in this post occured on the 9th of July 2010.

remember when i said, i was tagged a wall , then a cop car passed? this was the tag
this was another random thing i did. i threw away the template after , because it was too sticky. i threw it into a dumpster. hey, graffiti writers care about the environment too. my spray paint are all CFC free!
The house that i hit the previous week.

mmmmmmmmmm, clean water. care for a drink, anyone?
yea, nadiya. seems like the proper place for somebody to die.
in daylight.
the frontyard of the house i'm ABOUT to hit.
Dang, there must have been some homeless geeks that squatted here.
Something I did, NOT.
The creativity streak goes on.
wise words, my man. wise words.
i kept my eye open for any signs of extra terrestrial creatures.
Fornication Under Consent of King, F.U.C.K.
I heard this dude walking to his car and i hid behind wall and spy snapped his pic.
Considering a career in espionage.
The neigbouring house.

This belonged to that homeless guy? Wonder where the other shoe went.
A huge letter J dropped through the ceiling of this house. When a huge letter J drops through the roof of a house and no one is around, does it make a sound?
These kids are awesome at drawing bio diagrams.
FHAK you. He's very considerate.
O rly? Other people must be doing it for the money then.

That's an upside down mushroom ,you pervs!

Wrong colour schemes, man. Did you not do any research? it should've been pink and turqoise.

2nd floor.

I crept inside to take some pics.

Nice little room.

PS what? complete your sentence!
This man walked to and fro. YOU annoying man.

I can actually see my sketch this time.
On the wall.

AND THEN it happened. You see, the room i was in , has a huge ass window at the sides. That's why i ducked when the man on the phone appeared. I was spraying when this white atos passed by. A lady in the passenger seat. She looked up at me, can in hand. The car slowed down and u-turned. THE CAR SLOWED DOWN AND U-TURNED. I packed my cans and got the hell out of there. Trying to walk as fast as I could without attracting attention. I went away from the place.
The car from afar. I was hiding behind zinc fences.

THIS DUDE GETS ALL THE CHICS.
Whoever did this needs to practice more can control.

Yes, i'm glad i stopped spraying and got the hell out of the house.
Wanted to help the lady out. She was carrying pretty heavy plastic bags. Wanted to help but she was walking really fast. Thought that she was going to go to an old car. The old car must've been kept in pristine condition over the years because it doesn't look that old.

Only one way to improve....

2010-07-08T07:03:00.000-07:00

This was the wall that i was about to rape. err, i mean , decorate.

It was pitch dark i tell ya. For a second, i though there was something at the stairs.

I used the camera's flash as a flashlight. I took a picture every time i used the flashlight. Cool flashlight.

This dark creepy room. In the movies, this is where you'd find the monster feeding on the corpse.

Further in.

This is where the monster would be shitting after it ate the corpse.

This is the place without flash. told ya it was dark.

My attempt to view the sketch. I could only view it for half a second. the photo is too overexposed.

I sketched on it using chalk. It's not highly visible though.

Okay, foreword, i was painting in the dark. I couldn't see if the fill was even or how neat everything was. I was trying my luck.

tada~

I fixed the right part later on.

I learnt something, doing long ass straight lines is hard x 10²⁷

The end product. Twists and bends #1. Baybeh!

All that for this.

Close up.

Really close up.
Made this up on the spot.
The paint on the wall was flaky, that explains for the unattractive color.
COMBO!
More pics of the house.
The floor, something not to be missed. Constantly almost-tripping due to the wires and rubble.
lalala

oo lala~
Nature coexisting with buildings.
A chalk quickie. Double meaning here. This was the same spot that i did a few weeks ago.
far down? get it?

Stopped by at hardware shop, spraypaints please. Over there? okay. What? these few colors? I'll take black and red thank you. RM16? RM15 okay? thanks *dishonest smile*. Head off to Bing. Not that i like buying rm10 drinks. I just want a proper place to sit. Let's see, gimme...that, whatever that is. 9.50? what, 10? alright whatever. hold on, can you give me a piece of paper to scribble on? what's that, A4 ? even better. Thank you. Washed my face. Head off. Drizzling, dammit. Walk. Wander. Ponder. Arrives at abandoned houses area.

This is the wall before i painted on it. See, graffiti helps to eliminate racism.

Zoomed out.

Trying out these, to help with sense of placement.

I realized that i need to improve my can control. Ugly writing.

Somehow, distance makes art look better.

Am not satisfied with this.Hrmmm. But i did ok (:

I'm not a photographer.

......

the fun begins. messing around.

in the kitchen.

still in the kitchen. hrmmm. needs a fill.

red fill + blur effect. so intentional.

without the blur effect.

upstairs. combo of piece style lettering and tag style lettering.

I am aware that i am not a master at this yet. But i assure you , i will improve. I will be better so i can grace the walls of kuching with pretty colors and shapes.

peace out.
