Wow, That's what I have to say to begin with...Wow. I haven't heard a lot about this and came across it quite by mistake on amazon.com, I was looking for books with sifters and this popped up. To say the least I was equal parts interested and skeptical, I don't usually go for High Fantasy but these days, for me anything fiction will work. So anyway, I got the book and from the first page it drew me in. The main character Moon and his savior Stone would have to be my two favorite characters.

It all starts off with Moon living in yet another groundling ( beings that live primarily on land) settlement, he's trying to fit in as he always does, which is always difficult. Moon has no idea what he is which can be a pain when he so closely resembles the evil race that terrorizes the three kingdoms the Fell. Yet again he's thrown out of this dwelling, because he looks like a Fell when he shifts in to his winged form.

Turns out he's right he isn't a Fell he is a Raksura. The terminology in the book reminds me of dragons, like the way call their babies clutches, however it is clear that they aren't dragons at all. The concept of the creatures in this book are unique and the world building here is fantastic, I L-O-V-E-D it so much! The Cloud Roads is filled with flying islands, flying boats, and creatures of all sorts that could only come out of a healthy and wild imagination!

On top of all the wonderful story telling about the Three Kingdoms (Earth, Sea and Sky) and the pacing there is a wonderful story about loyalty, friendship, and romance. I am really looking forward to reading the next book in this series, The Serpent Sea!

“Sam?”

She turned to find Ben standing in the doorway, Christian just behind him. She quickly looked away, wiping at her cheeks, at her face and stood, bowing her head so they wouldn’t see. “What are you doing here? Where’s the Dad?”

“Are you okay?” Ben asked softly.

“Yeah,” she said, but her voice was shaky and thick. And she couldn’t look up at Ben because he would know she was not okay.

“Christian, give us a moment,” Ben asked.

He knew. Damn him, he knew her too well.

“It wasn’t your fault,” Ben whispered. “You saw… we saw Damien die. We couldn’t know he’d become a Soul.”

Oh, God. Kill me now, she thought. She couldn’t do this right now. She sighed, trying desperately to keep her emotions under control. “Eugene told you. I’m okay. Really.”

“No, Sam. You’re not okay.”

She sat on the side of the bed trying to get hold of herself, to push the feelings aside. The memories were too painful. She had buried them for so many years. “We have to concentrate on Scala now.”

Ben nodded and sat beside her. “That’s why you have to be all right. You can’t think of him now. It makes you vulnerable. And we can’t afford to make mistakes.”

“I know.” She stood up and looked at the pictures on the kid’s dresser. It was a team basketball picture, two men standing on either side of the team like bookmarks. Coaches. She felt Ben’s gaze on her, contemplating. She turned to him. “There’s just one thing…” She looked Ben in the eye. “Please tell me you didn’t know.”

A displeased frown etched his brow. “I didn’t know. There’s no way. You know I would have told you.”

She nodded and turned back to the kid’s desk. It was remarkably clean of miscellaneous objects, of any kind of item that would give her a clue about the boy. A computer screen sat in the center, on and humming softly as if waiting for the boy to return. She knew Ben would have told her. Or did she? Would he try to protect her as Eugene had?

“You believe me, right?” Ben asked.

Sam nodded again, refusing to believe the doubt festering in her mind. He would have told her. She pulled open a drawer. It was filled with scattered sheets of papers and notes.

“You can’t think of him as your husband anymore. He’s a Changed.”

She winced at the proclamation. Even though she knew Damien was a Changed, he was still her husband. And she couldn’t escape the guilt that weighed her down. If she had been there, if she had only known… she could have prevented Damien from Changing. One thing was certain, she would never be able to hurt Damien. And that fact was the most dangerous of all.

Greetings Lads and Ladies! Here I am keeping my blog alive! Today I want to talk about the night circus. Yes that is what I said talk...This is not a review, more of a discussion about this particular book.

To Begin let me start by saying yes, I did read this book and it was to my tastes fairly good. However some people have a different opinion about this book. I've read that; "it's too over done" and "the world building sucks" etc.

I for one do not have a problem with the world this book is set in. I'd describe it as dark fantasy, with a Y.A theme and some romance mixed in. Truthfully though the start was a little too slow. There are about 200 pages where all that seems to be happening is training and flash forwards.

I must too confess that like other readers I to was confused as to the time frame of the story. I'd read the date and then I'd forget it and let me tell you it is a very confusing thing in this particular book if you lose your place.

The storytelling is fantastic and when you member your place, so is the pacing. I think the imagery that Erin brought out in this book was also unique and wonderful!

All in all I'd say for a first novel it was pretty good, there are surprises and things you expect. Let me just say that all the versions of the cover I've seen all suite the contents of the book!

Greetings, Ladies, Lads. As you may or may not have noticed, I haven't been posting very often for the past few weeks. Why is that you ask? Well boys and girls I am trying to get my bachelor's in Linguistics so I haven't been doing any reading of fiction.

Yes It's that time of year when all my personal goals that go all to hell, because although I wish it were different Summer is OVER and it's time for the studying to begin! Sure I'll post occasionally, however for the period of this semester I won't host any tours unless I have the time which is unlikely!

From now on I will be random and post when I have the chance! I hope you can forgive me for not providing you with entertaining food for thought as regularly as you'd like but hey, i haven't got my super powers yet so till then you'll have to settle for random!

My Review: From the first page this book appealed to me, bulling is a real problem these days and I for one think that more people need to speak up about it. You Can't Shatter me is the way in which the author tells the world about this problem, it is a wonderful package of fantasy and cruel reality. Unfortunately for some of those being bullied you don't have Carly's power but you do have the power to tell someone so don't be afraid to.

Over all this was a well written well put together piece of YA fiction and I for one look forward to reading more from this author.

I will be perfectly honest with you, I requested this book from the author because the cover, and the title caught my attention. and wonder of wonders I truly enjoyed it the story too. It is unique and the concept is fresh and enjoyable. They are a lot of good points and exciting scenes. The romance is good and the characters were fantastic.

The Grammar is spot on, and so is the syntax it is clear to see that the author and the editor(s) put in a great deal of work. A lot of people have had this concept or something similar, however Kelly's story is unique.I love the way the story is told as well as the depth of feeling I get from our heroine Jade. I thought her reaction to everything was a realistic one unlike some of the books I've read, she deals with learning the things she dose in a way that maybe I would deal with them.

My recommendation: Don't miss out on a really good story. I know personally that the author has put all she can into this book and it is certainly worth reading!

Review: This was an amazing read. There I said it! Now I will tell you why, there are dozens of books about immortals, however this one is unique. Leah's character was everything I wanted in a heroine she was both emotional and brave and! She didn't annoy me a definite plus!
The pacing, the content, the syntax is spot on and the elements that make up the story make it one of a kind and is defiantly worth the time I took to read it, what more can I say!

Recommendation: Read this! it's a really good book I promise!

Excerpt: Something’s wrong!’ Max gasped, sitting up in bed so quickly that the unexpected movement sent me over the bed’s edge. I caught my balance before I smashed onto the walnut parquet. We had dozed off about an hour ago. Outside, the sun had risen.

Max was panting, his face filled with fear. ‘We’ve got to get out of here!’

‘What’s going on?’ I yawned, rubbing the sleep from my eyes.

‘They’re near! Pietro can hear them.’

He had said ‘they’ with such abhorrence that it could only have meant one thing. He got to his feet, scrambling for his clothes that were scattered over the floor together with mine. I had never seen him this alarmed. The bedroom door flung open and Pietro and Sam barged into the room, both in the same frantic state as Max was.

‘How did they find us?’ Max shrieked.

‘I don’t know, but we must leave immediately!’ Pietro yelled.

We left the house and darted toward the city center. The streets were deserted. Livorno was still asleep. In the morning sunlight, our legs were heavy, moving tediously slow while Pietro broadcast the thoughts of the advancing Brotherhood as they tracked where we ran－his voice without emotion. ‘There are four: two males, two females… They have entered the boulevard. Stand by for confirmation... They have turned right on Via Grande.’

Review: I'm not a huge fan of horrors, I don't particularly like scaring the bejeezus out of myself while reading but I did want to review this book. If I say I didn't like it trust me its not because its a bad book. Turns out even now I don't have the heart to read an excellent Horror without freaking.

My friends have informed me that I am a wuss and therefore should let my readers know that I grew some balls reading Beck Sherman's Revamp. I'm sure it was milder than most horrors but from my perspective it was really really scary. So since it is a horror and it was suitably so I think this book deserves a good rating!

There was enough action and a great story to follow thankfully it wasn't all scary, but I think from now on I'll stick to my Romance YA reads!

My Review: I loved this book, it was a wonderful journey with each and every character,from start to end. The stories were both fast paced and very entertaining. I found it very refreshing to follow each character it was so very sweet. There are so many things in this book that I love in my chick Lit

I ended up reading this in one sitting and it was worth dropping all my other stuff to read!

My Recommendation: This book is just wonderful, I would recommend without hesitation if you don't believe me here is the excerpt.

Excrept: When your family is affected by a tragedy, you find yourself in the midst of emotions that are so strong it’s almost impossible to keep a grasp on normal life. The tragedy happened to my sister, Mya, who was driving home one dark night in the pouring rain. The car that hit hers swerved to avoid a cyclist whose wheel had struck a pothole, and the effects of that night spread out like ripples on a pond to catch us all.

Sam was my sister’s boyfriend, and during the long months following the accident we were all distraught. My parents had each other for support, but I couldn’t add to their burden, could I? So I shared my feelings with Sam and he, in return, shared his feelings with me. I was nineteen at the time and Sam was twenty-seven. He always talked to me as if I was his equal; he made me feel that my fears and worries mattered, that I mattered.

The day I knew beyond a doubt that I had fallen in love with him was, ironically, the day he made the decision to gently disengage himself from our family. One moment he was a part of everything that was going on and within a few weeks he was no longer there when I looked for him. Mum and Dad accepted it was time for him to move on, grateful for the way he had taken care of me. I knew from that very first day when he appeared late and left early, that it was the start of the end; I also knew that I couldn’t change how I felt about him. I had no idea whether he noticed the difference in me, because either way it could never work. If he felt something for me, how could we pretend that he hadn’t once loved my sister? If he thought of me simply as Mya’s younger sister, that would break my heart.

Greetings lads and ladies, I know what your thinking, a segment Rosa will never commit to that.

Frankly you may be right but hey what can you do right? Anywhos today I thought it would be fun to tell you about the books I read for my own pleasure and enjoyment well the romance one's anyway! I thought long and hard about this (really I did it was a long, long minuet and I have concluded that the best way to share what romances I've read this month (the ones not reviewed here of course) is to put them in a list of ten counting down to the number one and best book I've read for the month.

So without further here is my top ten lists of romances I've read this week;

#1- This month I read a book called Slammed which is a very popular book on amazon! It was fantastic! Its about a boy a girl and poetry but trust me its so much more

#2-The book I mentioned in one has a sequel! It is a called Point of Retreat and is as good as the first!

#3-I read a book called easy also selling well on amazon it was nice!

#4- I read a book called bet me its a bit older but I loved it as the heroin was like me plus sized!

#5-I read a series called the Fool's Gold series by Susan Mallory and lately I've read All Summer Long which I think was the best installment in the series.

#6-I read a book called my life next door!!!! It was a gift and I loved it it was a really great read!

#7- I read a book called Wild Cats its a part of a series called shifters unbound that was fantastic too

#8- I read a book called indigo blue a book in the comanche moon series and I Loved it and can't wait to get my hands on comanche heart

#9- I read a book called the mayfair moon its a YA werewolf book that is passable.

#10-I read a book called the marriage bargain this one is also on the amazon top paid books list. It is very nice and I recommend it!

My Review: This book needs no high praise from me, as soon as you read the first page you enter into a world born from an imagination that is truly unique. The characters are fantastic to follow and there are a lot of wonderful surprises.

I had a wonderful read I cried and laughed, There isn't much more I can say this one was a definite page turner and I just know you will enjoy every moment of it and beg for more.

Mythology in YA books

HI Everyone, I'm M.M. Shelley and I would like to thank Bajan Rosa for having me as a guest today. So please pour yourself a cup of your favorite Latte and if you're at work, hang up your "On Break" shingle as we take five.
I may love writing young adult fantasy and Sci-fi, but it doesn't mean that it's my first love. Growing up I stirred more towards mysteries written by the great Agatha Christie and the clever Edgar Allen Poe. Slowly but surely I found authors like Johanna Lindsay and Julie Garwood and those two quickly became some of my favorite authors. Sure you might wonder, what an interesting mix of authors, but really isn't a good book defined by losing yourself in the story?
I enjoy mixing a good mystery with romance and sometimes paranormal romance. That I've found myself reading books by Dianne Day and Heather Graham who also writes under the name Shannon Drake.
What I like about the young adult genre is that everything is new, exciting and the characters are always rushing, in a hurry and are willing to hold on tightly to what they want regardless of the consequences. There is an innocence that at times can be heartbreaking and enduring.
With the young adult genre there is more room for possibilities as they are ready and willing to believe in the possibilities of what we all enjoy; intrigue, magic and most importantly, love.
With my book, Mishap & Retribution I focus on the suspense, and the intrigue, what will one do for the ones they love? Sometimes the answer is not what you may always expect and that's what I enjoy about writing young adult; is that you learn to expect the unexpected.

My Review: Wow what can I say from the start of this book I was at the edge of my seat. It was one of those books where you are not only the reader but you are the character.

There are emotional parts and parts where you may find yourself smiling. But don't get me wrong this book is a thriller and a very good one at that.

My Recommendation: This book is for anyone who enjoys this genre

My review: From the first page of this book I was intrigued. I'm not a huge fan of mystery or romantic suspense but this book is one I enjoyed. It is both of these and neither. There is enough humor packed in to keep you satisfied as well as both romance and drama.

The characters are very well developed especially the heroin Rose. The pace was relaxed and fluid and they were a few surprises thrown in for good measure.

My Recommendation: If you are looking for a good mystery with supernatural elements and romance this is definitely the book for you!

My Review: At the start of this book I was intruded there were a lot of elements that I liked in this book. The authors unique approach to shifters was new and the characters were complex.
I really loved the fact that this particular book focused more on the action and the story itself and not on a mushy teenage romance(there were elements of romance but not a huge amount). Don't get me wrong I love teenage romance and I believe the author will include a lot of it in the next few installments of this series as she did present many love interests in this book.
My Recommendation: If you are looking for a good action packed Y.A story with some great action and paranormal aspects read this book!

Writing for Young Adults

I was a reader when I was a kid. I don't mean, I read some books. I mean that I read everything I could get my hands on. I made my way through the children's section and right on into the adult section. What was missing though was an area for teens and young adults. I believe that is why at the ripe old age of twelve I was reading Dean Koonz, Stephen King, and Anne Rice.
Now let's be honest, what business does a twelve year old girl have reading that type of stuff? At the time, I didn't think anything of it. Heck I was reading, why would anyone complain? Anyone ever read Gerald's Game, by Stephen King? Well I learned a lot about sex in that book. Some I still don't want to know about. Or what about Anne Rice and her book, Cry to Heaven? Yeah, so not for the young readers. Oh don't get me wrong, I love these books. I am a die-hard horror genre person. Now, as an adult, I just don't think they are quite the appropriate reading for the young teens and YA readers.
Since I was a kid, a new section has appeared in the form of YA. This is very exciting. It gives the teenager more appropriate reading. I don't mean the sex and violence, I mean it gives teenagers books about teenagers. Before you had kid books or adult books. Now, you have this whole section tailored just for teens about teens. It's great! The age for this group is roughly 13+. I write for the 13-16 age group…generally. My Shadow Dancer series has begun to creep up out of this range and now encompasses the 18+ group. But why? Why did I choose this age group?
No idea. Not a tangible reason anyway. If I have to answer I would say it is because even as teens, they are still willing to believe. They still want to believe in fairies or werewolves, or vampires. They still want to believe in happily ever after and love at first sight. Adults are jaded by time and experience. Teens aren't there yet. Not that they don't have time and experience behind them, they just aren't quite as beaten down by it, usually. I love writing for YA.
I get asked all the time how I feel about writing in sex and violence for this group. My response is always, "I tone it down in YA". With sex and violence my own personal stance on this, right now, is "All the guts, but not the glory." You get the bread but not the butter. Why do I do that? Is it a rule? No, it's not a written rule. I don't think the teens would even really mind it, but their parents, the ones in general buying the books, they care. Kids know that sex and drugs and violence are out there. That doesn't mean parents want their children to read about it at every turn. Not when there are better options out there.
Then what about cursing and foul language, how do I handle that? Heck, most teens use it. Yes, they do. Maybe not in front of their parents, maybe not as excessively as others, but most kids cuss. I don't mean as foul a mouth as a street rapper or a "sailor" either. Maybe it's just an 's' word here or a 'd' word there, but they use it. I have and will use curse words in my writing for YA now and then, but only when I feel its necessary and justified. Only when I know, a kid would really truly say it. Most teens don't say, "Oh, darn it!" Sorry, they don't.
There are some that take a very different stance on sex and cussing for YA. I know that. I have heard and read their side and appreciate their stance and their opinion. Mine is a different opinion and may change over time. Who knows what I may think in ten years time.
All in all, I think YA is a fantastic addition to the masses. I wish it were around when I was, in fact, a young adult. Oh well, better late than never.

Excerpt:
"What're you cooking?"
"I just got in, so nothing yet."
I felt a bit confused for a moment, because I could smell something. It smelled salty and something else I couldn't put my finger on. I tipped my head up a bit and sniffed the air. The smell was really strong and pungent in the kitchen. It was there somewhere.
"What's that smell then?" Suddenly, I was starving.
She turned around and looked at me, but before she could answer, I spied a white package sitting partially unwrapped on the counter. I went over to it and pulled open the paper to see what smelled so good.
Inside was a chunk of bloody, raw meat. My stomach churned and flipped suddenly, not in sickness but in desire. My brain may have been saying eww gross, but for some reason my body was saying, oh yeah, give it to me now. I backed away from the counter. I had a feeling if I didn't, I would have pounced on that slab of meat and chawed down on it, raw or not.
"What's wrong?" Mom said, "It's not for you, I promise. I have stuff to make pasta salad too. What else you in the mood for?"
I decided she didn't really want to know the answer to that question.
I couldn't take my eyes off the white paper, sitting there, unattended, smelling up the house with its heavenly scent.

My review: for me this book was an excellent addition to this series. I have had the pleasure of reading those that came before and they were excellent, however this was by far the best.

There is just the right of romance and the action in this one. It was fun seeing the characters in previous books here and the ending as usual was perfect.

My recommendation: Anyone over 18 who enjoys a good paranormal romance!

The Goddess Test

My review: this was a nice addition to the Goddess Legacy series, I found as a novella that it did the job of being both informative and entertaining. Like many others I did enjoy the first installment of this series, I thought from the first that it was a brilliant idea.

The characters in this book an the wonderful elements of both fantasy and paranormal make it an exceptional read that will keep fans of the series satisfied until the next book comes out!

My recommendation: I'd tell anyone with an interest in both paranormal books and fantasy books to read and enjoy this title

My recomendation: I know not all of you will not like it or at least not as much as I do, however I do encourage all of you to give this one a try!

Author Interview

1) Are you a fan of the genre you write and if so how does this affect your writing?

Rachel: I love anything paranormal or fantasy related. Almost all the books I read and TV shows I watch are in this genre and because of this it does affect my writing. I believe the imagination can be a terrifying thing, and I love to exploit it. This is easy and fun to do in this genre.

2)How long did it take for you to write Fractured Light?

Rachel:It took me six months to write and another couple to edit.

3)Would you say the process was taxing or was it fun and easy?

Rachel: I love to write novels, but I"m not particularly fond of editing. Because of this, I often start writing a new project while I'm editing another project. I'll use it as motivation. "If you edit 20 pages then you can go write."

4)What inspires you most to be an author?

Rachel: Simply to create new worlds that others will enjoy...or be terrified of. Along with this creation comes characters. Some of them have been as real to me as my sister. I can't even begin to describe how much writing means to me. It's my forever.

5) When can readers expect your next book?

Rachel:Probably around May of next year. I just saw the tentative cover for Fractured Soul. Very cool.

6) Is there anything more you'd like to tell your fans and the readers?

Rachel: First, thank you to those who took the time to read it. I know I'm a first time author so I appreciate you taking a chance on me. Second, if you haven't had the opportunity to read Fractured Light, I recommend it (really???). :) It's different from most YA books out right now because of the main character, Llona, who is an Aura which means she has the ability to manipulate light. The book is rated above four stars on Goodreads with over 200 ratings, so, um, check it out. :)

Bajan Rosa: What inspires you to write?

I've always had stories swirling around in my head. The best way for me to get them out is to write them down (or type them). The characters become real to me and I'm invested in how their lives turn out. I can't help but love them (and hate them).

Bajan Rosa: Was it easy to write this book?

Maggie: I don't think it is ever easy to write a book. Of course, some are easier than others. I think this one fell somewhere in the middle for me. The characters were fun and full of energy, but they also had a lot of background information that I had to get them to tell me.

Bajan Rosa: Where are you from and does your location affect your writing?

Maggie: I'm originally from middle-of-nowhere Wyoming. I don't live there anymore, but it definitely plays a role in my writing. The small town of Honey Creek where Nursing Second Chances has a lot of the flavor of the small town I grew up in. These areas are so fall of politics and dynamics that are fun to include in my stories. That said, I also think that it is fun to imagine places that are different from anything I've ever experienced. That's what made me love reading as a kid and continues to inspire me as an adult.

He laughed, interrupting her. “Do you really want to pretend we aren’t friends to prove your point?”

Her cheeks grew rosy which he had to admit was a much better than the pasty color she’d been sporting when he walked into the house. He felt the fire burning inside her as she shot daggers with her eyes.

“You’re my best friend’s husband’s friend. If you’re looking for a wife you might peek into your little black book, or whatever it is you use, and draw another name.”

Carter let his arms drop and took two steps closer. The angrier she became, the more his blood churned. His body responded to her outrage, but not in anger. “I don’t want to draw another name.”

Review

I really liked this book, it was fun and entertaining with lots of passion and romance mixed in. The characters were amazing and the pacing was nice! There were some unexpected elements which I really appreciated and some points where I wanted to kill the characters. However it was a remarkable and well written book over all.

I recommend this for anyone who over a good romance as long as you are over the age of 18 ;)

Bajan Rosa: What inspired you to write?

Catherine: I love to read. Romance has always been my genre of choice mainly because I like to know that when I finish the book everyone is alive, well, and living happily ever after.

Writing is simply a way for me to write books the way I want them to be so I can achieve that happily ever after the way I want. Everyone around us has a life, a story...and with any luck a love story to tell. Creating those stories is an adventure.

Bajan Rosa: Are you fond of any of your characters?

Catherine They are my children. I love them all, even the bad guys. Actually, I love writing the bad guys probably because they can say and or do anything and it's okay. I love writing in a kids POV, but don't see myself writing YA anytime soon.

Bajan Rosa: Do you see yourself writing for a long time?

Catherine I honestly don't see a time that I won't write now that I'm where I am in my career. As long as I have readers, I will write. It's that simple. And before you ask...No, I don't see myself 'running out' of ideas for future books. LOL

Bajan Rosa: How much time do you spend writing?

Catherine I write daily. Or at least I try to write daily. I'm always doing something with my writing. Either marketing, blogging, chatting or writing. There is always something to do.

Bajan Rosa: Any advice for aspiring Authors?

Catherine Yes. Write. The only way to move forward in this business is to write. There aren't any real short cuts in this business. A new author needs to work to make their books worth reading...to learn their craft. That requires time in the chair typing away.

Bajan Rosa: When is your next scheduled release?

Catherine My next scheduled release is in October. Not Quite Dating is being released with Montlake Romance. This is the first book in a new series that I'm sure my readers are going to love.

Supernaturally Kissed: If an action packed paranormal romance is what you've been looking for this series is the book for you! I thourally enjoyed reading this first book, The heroin was Kick-Ass the flow was great and the storyline fantastic!

Demonically Tempted: This was the second installment in this series and it was no disappointing I read the whole book through without stopping and am looking forward to reading more from the author!

My Recomendation: For any adult (18+) Who enjoys a great read. I would not suggest this for anyone under that age or those who are averse to non erotic intimate scenes

My thoughts: this is a special three review set from NetGalley from the publisher. Of all the books I've ever read about vampires and demons I'd have to say this is one of the most unique. Yes the concept has been before and in better ways however I think that Parker has managed to incorporate her own style into this YA Paranormal Series.

In terms of the characters I'd have to say that from the first book I was totally in love with Val's half he'll hound half terrier. For me his presence was what made this series stand out from the others. If I had to be critical about it I'd say that the author did the best job with his character hands down.

Of course being the protagonist Val also took up quite a bit of my thoughts while I read. She had the typical teenage thing going on angst radical changes etc. Her love interests are where it gets interesting I think putting and s on the word interests is enough of a spoiler so I'll just say that no she wasn't in a relationship with more than one guy at the same time.

Dan's character was something else. Honestly I think the author saw him as much more than he turned out to be. Not saying he is unimportant in the book only that he isn't as important as I thought he'd be. His cockyness got to me and at times I wished he wasn't written into the book but since he is important there was no help for it.

Parker's true imaginative side shows with Shade in all three books. I've read books that included creatures of shadow but honestly this one was unique there is no doubt that a lot of thought went into his character and although I think he could be developed more he's a fairly brilliant character all round.

The other characters Micha, Alejandro, and Ramirez were also key in making the entire trio what they are.

My recommendation: I recommend any fan of YA paranormal take a read of this. It isn't the best but it is an excellent set of books.

My review: This book for me was a lovely adventure back in time, I have never been to Seattle but after reading this book I can probably describe the whole feel of it. This was a sweet love story with the whimsy of angels and the potency of true soul mates. I would really love to read more books like this in the future.

My Recomendation: If you are like me anything that has a little bit of romance is good. However this book has so much more to enjoy and I recommend it for anyone over the age of 16

As the story progresses, Ravelston and it's inhabitance turn out to be more than meets the eye and Jane will find herself in places she never thought she would be.

My Thoughts: First of all, I'd like to make it clear to readers that I generally don't read historical mysteries. I love historical Romance a whole lot, I love to hear about times past, but honestly in the setting of a mystery for me it's quite boring.
Silveira must be applauded however as the fantasy element to this book did keep me interested. Unfortunately though I was utterly disappointed by the hint of a Romantic relationship that turned out with no developement.

If I were to forget my personal preferences however it must be admitted that the book was well written and paced. There is no doubt in my mind that someone somewhere will enjoy this book.
That person however is not me. It took me a while to get into the story and so I can tell you with all honesty it wasn't my kind of book.

Recommendation: If you are into romance, this book isn't for you. I suggest it for fans of Agatha Christie and the like.

My rating: 3/5 it wasn't for me but someone else may like it!
