God, being Love, is also happiness.

Happiness is an attribute of love. It cannot be apart from it. Nor can it be experienced where love is not. Love has no limits, being everywhere. And therefore joy is everywhere as well. Yet can the mind deny that this is so, believing there are gaps in love where sin can enter, bringing pain instead of joy. This strange belief would limit happiness by redefining love as limited, and introducing opposition in what has no limit and no opposite.

It's amazing how the human mind has twisted itself in order to be autonomous and 'independent' from God. You can call it the ego, if you want, but it is actually you as you define yourself with a name and an identity separate from everything around you. It's a crazy thing, it's lonely and you go around trying to find love in another body. You fail, and try again, hoping that another body might satisfy. And when you finally do find love, you lose it. The idea that you can lose the things you love has nothing to do with God, but it is the idea on which you base your whole belief system. Somewhere you have got to say to yourself: 'What is going on?' Salvation starts with the thought that there must be a better way. Until you get to that point, you just keep going around in circles, still thinking that you can solve your impossible situation.

A Course In Miracles is for the mind that has had an 'aha-moment', if you will. You have somewhere questioned your life, what is happening to you and those around you, and you have asked for help. The words don't matter, God has heard your prayer. And, like it or not, you have been chosen, by Jesus. You have a function to fulfill. You are asked to be happy. You are asked to let go of all thoughts of pain and disaster and death, you are asked to wake up and you have been given the tool: 365 lessons for every day of the year and 31 chapters for you to read.

Today you are asked to no longer associate love with fear, you are asked to no longer give reality to the illusion. You are opening your eyes at last, questioning the world, denying sickness and death. The audacity of standing up and declaring that you will not die! Now you are sounding like Jesus and the experience is sure to follow. This is your resurrection, this is your ascension, and it happens simply by your willingness to let go of everything you now believe and to let truth and reality be revealed to you.

God, being Love, is also happiness.
To fear Him is to be afraid of joy.

You are as God created you. God is love, is happiness, and so are you because you were created in His likeness. Truth is true. This blog might not be the most popular one on the Internet, but it tells you the truth of the matter. You are as God created you. This world has no hold over you, unless you let it. You are given the tools to wake up: use them. Do the lesson for today, see the light in your brother, choose happiness and let it be revealed to you what that looks like. You might be smiling, you might not. Happiness is an inner condition of peace, and you know it when you feel it. From you it will extend to all the world so you can remember. What a joy. What a happiness. Thank you for your unlimited extension of love and light. That is where we meet. That is where we are holy brothers from out of time.

He is risen! He is risen indeed!

Today is resurrection day. Jesus is risen. And all He is offering is that you are risen with Him, today, right now. And what a great lesson for today.

I share God's Will for happiness for me.

The last 3 lessons have shown you that all you have to do is be happy. That is your function, that is what you are. What a revolutionary idea. Up till now you have believed that unhappiness is a part of life, that with ups come downs, that with positive come negative. But Jesus is telling you something different. You are what happiness is, everyone and everything is released in your happiness. It's time to put your toys away. No more drama. You are risen.

You do not want to suffer. You may think it buys you something, and may still believe a little that it buys you what you want. Yet this belief is surely shaken now, at least enough to let you question it, and to suspect it really makes no sense. It has not gone as yet, but lacks the roots that once secured it tightly to the dark and hidden secret places of your mind.

What a confrontation. The first 2 sentences are showing you the responsibility for what you see and experience. You think suffering buys you something. Look honestly in your mind and you will know this to be true. Your suffering offers you... what? A shoulder to cry on? A story to play out, hopefully with a happy ending? You think that when someone consoles you in your suffering that that is love. Strange how you associate love with suffering. Look at it. Simply being happy is.. what? Boring? Impossible? Be honest with yourself. Why not just be happy? Why not just let God be in charge? Why not stop telling things what they are and should be? Why not turn your will and your life over to the care of God? Happiness is offered you, and only love. Is it really a choice?

Today we try to loose its weakened hold still further, and to realize that pain is purposeless, without a cause and with no power to accomplish anything. It cannot purchase anything at all. It offers nothing, and does not exist. And everything you think it offers you is lacking in existence, like itself. You have been slave to nothing. Be you free today to join the happy Will of God.

Jesus tells you in A Course In Miracles that the crucifixion was the last useless journey. It is over, it is finished. He resurrected. Now it is time for you to stop carrying the cross with you wherever you go. You are crucifying yourself every moment with thoughts of judgment, attack, guilt, sin and suffering. You don't have to do it anymore.

Be happy, for your only function here is happiness. You have no need to be less loving to God's Son than He Whose Love created him as loving as Himself.

The next few days will be offered you to practice reaching the happiness that God offers you. Funny, but true, you need practice to remember your happiness. You have been walking for so long in dark clouds that you can't see the light beyond. You are no longer a prisoner of your thoughts, you have been given a workbook with a thought for every day that places you beyond time and space altogether. This is your Easter Time and it is holy. Stay in God-awareness, be in communication with your Creator every moment. It is the only thing that will make you happy. You are risen. You are risen indeed!

God's Will for me is perfect happiness.

Yes, indeed, God's Will for you is perfect happiness. That is, not happiness as opposed to unhappiness, simply perfect happiness. You still think of happiness in terms of an opposite to something that is not happiness. You still believe that sin and guilt and judgment are real, and you try very hard to go around them so you can be happy. That is not what A Course In Miracles offers you, and today's lesson is very clear about that. It is a total and pure confrontation with your ideas about sin and guilt. I'm not going to tell you what it says, you can pick up the workbook and read the lesson for yourself. I am only going to remind you of this:

You need the practice periods today. The exercises teach sin is not real, and all that you believe must come from sin will never happen, for it has no cause. Accept Atonement with an open mind, which cherishes no lingering belief that you have made a devil of God's Son. There is no sin.

We practice with this thought as often as we can today, because it is the basis for today's idea. God's Will for you is perfect happiness because there is no sin, and suffering is causeless. Joy is just, and pain is but the sign you have misunderstood yourself. Fear not the Will of God. But turn to it in confidence that it will set you free from all the consequences sin has wrought in feverish imagination. Say: God's Will for me is perfect happiness. There is no sin; it has no consequence.

This is the second day of the Easter Advent, and Jesus is in the tomb. Imagine that, feel it, know it. Jesus is in the tomb, and you are there with Him. The crucifixion was the last useless journey, you are waiting and trusting in God. You are in the process of resurrecting. In your awakening process you learn to trust the 3 days, that when the intensity is at its strongest you resurrect and come out on the other side. This goes beyond sin and guilt, this is your happiness. Jesus is risen. He is risen indeed. And all He is telling you is that you are resurrected with Him.

Lesson 100

My part is essential to God's plan for salvation.

God's Will for you is perfect happiness. Why should you choose to go against His Will? The part that He has saved for you to take in working out His plan is given you that you might be restored to what He wills. This part is as essential to His plan as to your happiness. Your joy must be complete to let His plan be understood by those to whom He sends you. They will see their function in your shining face, and hear God calling to them in your happy laugh.

You are indeed essential to God's plan. Without your joy, His joy is incomplete. Without your smile, the world cannot be saved. While you are sad, the light that God Himself appointed as the means to save the world is dim and lusterless, and no one laughs because all laughter can but echo yours.

What a great lesson. You are essential to God's plan for salvation and He asks you to be happy. Simple, right?

Right...

Fact of the matter is that when you believe that this world has reality, you can't possibly be happy. Look around you. People get kidnapped, killed for no reason, lose their jobs and their houses and on and on. Your happiness does not lie here. Your happiness is in God and in the realization that the world you seem to live in has no reality, that you are dreaming and that you can awaken. That should make you very happy.

This is your Easter Advent and there is a lot of light and conversion. God is shining His light on you and knows that His light is yours. The conversion takes place in your mind as you let old thoughts of pain and death be replaced with the thought of God. It is intense, but thank God. Why would you hold on to ideas of pain and death. Why would you want to get away with anything? Your 'yes, but...' should be running out of steam by now. Stand up, declare yourself, be active in your awakening. Take off your hat of death and wear your Easter bonnet. He is risen. He is risen indeed! And you have risen with Him. What a glorious advent.

We will not let ourselves be sad today. For if we do, we fail to take the part that is essential to God's plan, as well as to our vision. Sadness is the sign that you would play another part, instead of what has been assigned to you by God. Thus do you fail to show the world how great the happiness He wills for you. And so you do not recognize that it is yours.

Today we will attempt to understand joy is our function here. If you are sad, your part is unfulfilled, and all the world is thus deprived of joy, along with you. God asks you to be happy, so the world can see how much He loves His Son, and wills no sorrow rises to abate his joy; no fear besets him to disturb his peace. You are God's messenger today. You bring His happiness to all you look upon; His peace to everyone who looks on you and sees His message in your happy face.

Salvation is my only function here.

Salvation and forgiveness are the same. They both imply that something has gone wrong; something to be saved from, forgiven for; something amiss that needs corrective change; something apart or different from the Will of God. .Thus do both terms imply a thing impossible but yet which has occurred, resulting in a state of conflict seen between what is and what could never be.

You are indeed in an impossible situation, because you truly believe that it is possible for something to go wrong. You believe in pain, disaster and death and you have actually convinced yourself that that has something to do with God. Anyone in their right mind knows that God, your Creator, is an all loving God. He knows nothing about all your pains and worries, He only calls you gently to remember. Now you see why your situation is impossible. You have given reality to a world that God knows nothing about. You need a change of mind. You need a miracle.

How could there be a meeting place at all where earth and Heaven can be reconciled within a mind where both of them exist? The mind that sees illusions thinks them real. They have existence in that they are thoughts. And yet they are not real, because the mind that thinks these thoughts is separate from God.

This is exactly why A Course In Miracles is an experience. You try to wrap your mind around what you just read, and you fail miserably. You sit down with your Course group and discuss what you have just read, and you miss the point entirely. The only way you can truly know what Jesus is telling you, is by the experience of it. This can't be shared, except in its totality. It goes beyond discussion altogether. The best thing you can do for your Course group is to be quiet and pray, ask for the experience and then receive it. This is personal, it is only between you and God. Forget the group, forget these people that can only reflect what you believe, and come with empty hands unto your God. Now something can happen. It's between you and God.

The Holy Spirit holds this plan of God exactly as it was received of Him within the Mind of God and in your own. It is apart from time in that its Source is timeless. Yet it operates in time, because of your belief that time is real. Unshaken does the Holy Spirit look on what you see; on sin and pain and death, on grief and separation and on loss. Yet does He know one thing must still be true; God is still Love, and this is not His Will.

You can't understand it, simply because you are operating from a very limited framework. You, as you see yourself now, have no reality whatsoever. You don't know who you are. Your mind doesn't actually think at all, and that is what you don't want to accept. What you are offered today goes way beyond your small ideas of the world and of God and of yourself. This is completely out of time, beyond the body, beyond the moon and stars. Don't try to understand it, just ask for the experience. And when you receive the experience, don't try to lock it away under a small point of reference. Just keep an open mind. Remember this, and only this:

Salvation is my only function here. God still is Love, and this is not His Will.

That's all you need to know. It suffices for today. You will never understand A Course In Miracles intellectually, but you can experience it. Right here and right now. That is what you should be asking for: the experience. Let the understanding of this course be exactly what it is: nothing. And be in the awareness of what is offered you now and every moment: everything.

I will accept my part in God's plan for salvation.

Let's try again today. You can do it. Side for truth today and let illusions go. This is Jesus standing beside you, leading you, supporting you, asking you today to take a step into full commitment to your awakening.

Today is a day of special dedication. We take a stand on but one side today. We side with truth and let illusions go. We will not vacillate between the two, but take a firm position with the One. We dedicate ourselves to truth today, and to salvation as God planned it be. We will not argue it is something else. We will not seek for it where it is not. In gladness we accept it as it is, and take the part assigned to us by God.

The whole problem that you have is that you try to fit A Course In Miracles into your small frame of reference. You try to use it to have a better life, to solve the problems in your relationship, to find the best job. All you ever do is try to bring truth to illusion, and it won't work.

'So what is the illusion?', you might ask. What a great question. Let's look at it directly. The illusion is you as you see yourself in a body identity. In fact, it is you as you see yourself now, period. The one mistake that you make, and that you hold onto with all your might, is that you believe this world is real. From that framework you try to make the world a better place. Good luck. You have tried it for centuries, it is a hopeless effort. The only change you can really make is in you, you can change your mind about yourself. Now you are on to something, now you are doing the mind training of the workbook lessons.

I am not a body, I am free.
I loose the world from all I thought it was.
I choose the second place to gain the first.

These are all great lessons. As is the lesson for today. You have a purpose to fulfill and it is all about your contact with God. That should be your focus, every moment. Up till now you have focused on the world and everything in it, but now you focus on God.

How happy to be certain! All our doubts we lay aside today, and take our stand with certainty of purpose, and with thanks that doubt is gone and surety has come. We have a mighty purpose to fulfill, and have been given everything we need with which to reach the goal. Not one mistake stands in our way. For we have been absolved from errors. All our sins are washed away by realizing they were but mistakes.

The guiltless have no fear, for they are safe and recognize their safety. They do not appeal to magic, nor invent escapes from fancied threats without reality. They rest in quiet certainty that they will do what it is given them to do. They do not doubt their own ability because they know their function will be filled completely in the perfect time and place. They took the stand which we will take today, that we may share their certainty and thus increase it by accepting it ourselves.

Your safety lies in God and in Him only. Look around you and you will know this to be true. Does your safety lie in the government's hands? In a doctor's hands? In the car coming at you on the road? Hardly. You have no idea where anyone is at, you can only take responsibility for what is going on in your own mind. Focus on God today, stay in communication with Him. Listen to His Voice and let Him show you where to go and what to do. Go beyond this world all together. Forget about it. It has no reality. Only God is real, and you in Him. You are as God created you.

I am spirit.

We state again the truth about your Self, the holy Son of God Who rests in you; whose mind has been restored to sanity. You are the spirit lovingly endowed with all your Father's Love and peace and joy. You are the spirit which completes Himself, and shares His function as Creator. He is with you always, as you are with Him.

In reading the word 'spirit' I feel an instant connection with native Indians. I have a definite memory of tribes, of living in nature with nature, of listening, of being in complete communication. It's natural. It's what you are. And it should not be denied.

You are the spirit in whose mind abides the miracle in which all time stands still; the miracle in which a minute spent in using these ideas becomes a time that has no limit and that has no end. Give, then, these minutes willingly, and count on Him Who promised to lay timelessness beside them. He will offer all His strength to every little effort that you make. Give Him the minutes which He needs today, to help you understand with Him you are the spirit that abides in Him, and that calls through His Voice to every living thing; offers His sight to everyone who asks; replaces error with the simple truth.

Now here you are, and you can say that millions of lifetimes have brought you to this point. You have done everything, you can see it as reincarnation, or simply look at your life as it is now and recognize that you are doing the same thing over and over again. Today you are asked to give 5 minutes, and these few minutes offer you a new yet ancient experience. Time stands still, is unlimited, the Holy Spirit takes over and shows you the truth of what you are. Let it be mystical, let every memory of the experience with everyone and everything take you over. Give these few minutes to the Holy Spirit and He will take care of everything and increase your gift a thousandfold. There are no limits, all and everything is offered you this instant.

Thus will each gift to Him be multiplied a thousandfold and tens of thousands more. And when it is returned to you, it will surpass in might the little gift you gave as much as does the radiance of the sun outshine the tiny gleam a firefly makes an uncertain moment and goes out. The steady brilliance of this light remains and leads you out of darkness, nor will you be able to forget the way again.

It's definitely mystical: 'spirit', 'the way'. You are offered everything today, every memory of perfect communication. Let these memories flow over you, use them. Don't limit anything. If it is American Indian, great, if it is something else, wonderful. These are your experiences, your memories, and they can't be compared to anything. You are a miracle, created by God. Let all things be revealed to you today. Let time stand still, let the Holy Spirit give you everything. It's all available right here and right now.

Salvation comes from my one Self.

Although you are one Self, you experience yourself as two; as both good and evil, loving and hating, mind and body. This sense of being split into opposites induces feelings of acute and constant conflict, and leads to frantic attempts to reconcile the contradictory aspects of this self-perception. You have sought many such solutions, and none of them has worked. The opposites you see in you will never be compatible. But one exists.

What a great lesson for today. I sit down in the morning, open my Course In Miracles, and read the lesson out loud to myself. Everything falls away in that moment, it is an instant realignment. That's why it's called A Course In Miracles: it is a miracle, and it is indeed a required course.

The fact that truth and illusion cannot be reconciled, no matter how you try, what means you use and where you see the problem, must be accepted if you would be saved. Until you have accepted this, you will attempt an endless list of goals you cannot reach; a senseless series of expenditures of time and effort, hopefulness and doubt, each one as futile as the one before, and failing as the next one surely will.

This statement is your salvation: truth and illusion can't be reconciled. Truth is true and has been kept safe in your mind, in the treasure house that God has kept for you. It is unassailed and since it is the truth, it can never be brought to the illusion. The two don't meet. Illusions can be brought to truth and in that they disappear. But one remains: truth. Truth can never be brought to illusion, because it can't ever recognize the existence of the illusion. Not because it is arrogant, not because it recognizes its existence and then ignores it (which is what you do), but simply because truth only knows of itself. This is impossible to explain, it can't be understood, but it can be reasonably recognized.

Your Self retains Its Thoughts, and they remain within your mind and in the Mind of God. The Holy Spirit holds salvation in your mind, and offers it the way to peace. Salvation is a thought you share with God, because His Voice accepted it for you and answered in your name that it was done. Thus is salvation kept among the Thoughts your Self holds dear and cherishes for you.

This Course offers you salvation, and only salvation. Every thought for the day lifts you out of any trial or tribulation. All you have to do is apply it.

Salvation comes from my one Self. Its Thoughts are mine to use.

And then you give yourself away. In case you wonder what that means, it means that you are in total service to your brother. You ask the Holy Spirit how you can be helpful, and then you proceed to do it. No matter what funk you are in, how deep and dark it seems to be, everything is taken care of in your willingness to be of service. When you wake up in the morning, apply your lesson and wonder if this is working for you at all, step outside your door and see where you can be of help. In your helping your brother you help yourself. Try it, it works immediately. Is there a shelter where you can offer your help, a library, a hospital or wherever, a friend who calls for help, a neighbor in need, a homeless person who looks you in the eye or a child that runs into you 'by accident': use it. Give yourself away. Shine your light. Salvation begins and ends with you. It comes from your one Self. Let the Thought of God guide you today, work miracles. You are indeed the light of the world and you have a function to fulfill: to give yourself away so you can recognize the light that you are.

I am one Self, united with my Creator

It's amazing what the lesson for today shows you. The fist part is basically Jesus telling you how you fail at doing the simple things that are asked of you. If that is not devastating to you, I don't know what is...

It is difficult at this point not to allow your mind to wander, if it undertakes extended practice. You have surely realized this by now. You have seen the extent of your lack of mental discipline, and of your need for mind training. It is necessary that you be aware of this, for it is indeed a hindrance to your advance.

In addition to recognizing your difficulties with sustained attention, you must also have noticed that, unless you are reminded of your purpose frequently, you tend to forget about it for long periods of time.

And then He tells you that He needs your help. That you have a small part to play, but that it is essential.

Do not forget today. We need your help; your little part in bringing happiness to all the world. And Heaven looks to you in confidence that you will try today. Share, then, its surety, for it is yours. Be vigilant. Do not forget today. Throughout the day do not forget your goal. Repeat today's idea as frequently as possible, and understand each time you do so, someone hears the voice of hope, the stirring of the truth within his mind, the gentle rustling of the wings of peace.

It's a call to you, and this is no small thing. Jesus is asking you for vigilance in your own mind. I don't know about you, but a huge shift has taken place in my mind and I feel changes happening. I don't know what will happen with this blog, my mind is moving in a new direction. I have bought the new website, but what it will be: I have no idea. I see unlimited possibilities, but I don't have the technical knowledge to know how to bring them about. Father, into Thy Hands I command my Spirit. Into Thy Hands I command my blog. Stick around, see what happens. But most of all, take your awakening experience into your own hands and do what is asked of you today. Now is the time, here is the place. Let it be a new experience, it's now or never.

I am as God created me.

Today we continue with the one idea which brings complete salvation; the one statement which makes all forms of temptation powerless; the one thought which renders the ego silent and entirely undone. You are as God created you. The sounds of this world are still, the sights of this world disappear, and all the thoughts that this world ever held are wiped away forever by this one idea. Here is salvation accomplished. Here is sanity restored.

Today is the third day, and I am indeed resurrecting. Salvation is accomplished. Sanity is restored. Hallelujah, praise the lord. This is not about suffering and pain, this is about the undoing of my mind, and you will find in your transformation that ideas come to the surface and are undone that are the cornerstone of your identity in this world. It does feel like death. I died about 3000 times in the last 2 days, no kidding. And all I could hear were the words of the Master Teacher: 'I took death away from you.' I heard these words for the first time. In the darkest night of your soul you look for a way out, death has always been a last refuge, a last option. But it has been taken away from you. Now you stand with empty hands and all you can do is ask God for help. And trust.

This is the moment where you become so, so grateful for your holy reflections, for a sentence that was said to you eons ago that suddenly makes perfect sense and is your total salvation. Today I am resurrected, today I am released, and the lesson in the workbook could not be more perfect.

I am as God created me.

True light is strength, and strength is sinlessness. If you remain as God created you, you must be strong and light must be in you. He Who ensured your sinlessness must be the guarantee of strength and light as well. You are as God created you. Darkness cannot obscure the glory of God's Son. You stand in light, strong in the sinlessness in which you were created, and in which you will remain throughout eternity.

The transformation of your mind, the undoing of old beliefs, is not about tip-toeing through the tulips. It is about happiness, sure, but you don't even know where your happiness lies. Happiness to you is the justification of your ideas about love and health and purpose. When these ideas get stripped away you stand for a moment in total emptiness. Now it is time to trust. Here is where the rubber meets the road. Stand there for an instant. Don't fill the void. Let God fill it for you. This is where your maturity in your transformation is revealed, for you will either stand still and trust or you will turn around and try another road, only to come back to this place again. This is the great adventure. This is where you take the plunge. This is where it gets really exciting, because now you are brand new, and you know it. What a ride... What a blast... A Course In Miracles is the best roller coaster ride you could imagine, it takes you straight out into the universe, and all your beloveds with you. Simply through the change of your mind. You scream, you shout, you holler and then suddenly you are spit out and you go: 'Wow! I had no idea...' Welcome to your awakening, the ride of a lifetime.

Light and joy and peace abide in me.

You think you are the home of evil, darkness and sin. You think if anyone could see the truth about you he would be repelled, recoiling from you as if from a poisonous snake. You think if what is true about you were revealed to you, you would be struck with horror so intense that you would rush to death by your own hand, living on after seeing this being impossible.

These are beliefs so firmly fixed that it is difficult to help you see that they are based on nothing. That you have made mistakes is obvious. That you have sought salvation in strange ways; have been deceived, deceiving and afraid of foolish fantasies and savage dreams; and have bowed down to idols made of dust,–all this is true by what you now believe.

Today it is all the more clear to me that I am an alien here. Nothing makes sense to me, I am looking at everything with a big question mark. All I can do is ask for help. As I express my experience, the truth of what I am, things are shifting and changing around me. It's like things are reorganizing, and I am looking at it unable to sort any of it out. I trust that God is in charge and that all changes are for the best.

The self you made is not the Son of God. Therefore, this self does not exist at all. And anything it seems to do and think means nothing. It is neither bad nor good. It is unreal, and nothing more than that. It does not battle with the Son of God. It does not hurt him, nor attack his peace. It has not changed creation, nor reduced eternal sinlessness to sin, and love to hate. What power can this self you made possess, when it would contradict the Will of God?

Applying the lesson, being in the experience of it, literally means that you hand your will and your life over to a greater power. You let your true identity be revealed to you and you let go of all the things you thought had power over you before. You let go of your ideas about the world, about your job, your friends, family, your car, everything. And these ideas get replaced with the thought of God.

Salvation requires the acceptance of but one thought;–you are as God created you, not what you made of yourself. Whatever evil you may think you did, you are as God created you. Whatever mistakes you made, the truth about you is unchanged. Creation is eternal and unalterable. Your sinlessness is guaranteed by God. You are and will forever be exactly as you were created. Light and joy and peace abide in you because God put them there.

That is the lesson for today. Let it work in you. Let it undo you. You start to recognize that it doesn't matter who hears you, you just need to be truthful to your experience. Those closest to you might suddenly be strangers, don't worry about it. You just keep going. Jesus is standing beside you, God goes with you wherever you go, that is all the reassurance that you need, along with the lesson:

Light and joy and peace abide in me. My sinlessness is guaranteed by God.

What a day this has been!
What a rare mood I'm in.
Why, it's almost
like being in love....

Really, what a day it is. It is full of surprises and I have no idea what is going on. It feels like an emotional roller coaster, and I am going along for the ride. I can't tell whether I'm up or down, but it sure is a hell of a ride. Thank God for the lesson today, I am applying it every moment.

Miracles are seen in light, and light and strength are one.

You do not think of light in terms of strength, and darkness in terms of weakness. That is because your idea of what seeing means is tied up with the body and its eyes and brain. Thus you believe that you can change what you see by putting little bits of glass before your eyes.

I really heard this for the first time today. I used to read this part and punish myself for the belief that eye glasses improve reading. But that's not what Jesus is telling you here. The idea that you see anything with the eyes is false, the idea that you can see better by glasses is false. You can only change what you see by changing your mind.

You also believe the body's brain can think. If you but understood the nature of thought, you could but laugh at this insane idea.

It's an amazing thing: there is actually nothing going on in your brain at all. All the thoughts you have are thoughts about nothing. There seems to be sequentiality in them, on thought seems to logically follow another, but it is only circular thinking. If you start your thinking with a problem, you can be sure that you will try to solve it. If you start your thinking with God, you can be sure that you have no problem whatsoever.

It is God's strength in you that is the light in which you see, as it is His Mind with which you think.

What a great lesson, filled with good stuff. I invite you to read it and apply it. Open up your Course In Miracles, read the lesson and do the 20 minute application in the morning and evening.

The strength in you will offer you the light, and guide your seeing so you do not dwell on idle shadows that the body's eyes provide for self-deception. Strength and light unite in you, and where they meet, your Self stands ready to embrace you as Its Own. Such is the meeting place we try today to find and rest in, for the peace of God is where your Self, His Son, is waiting now to meet Itself again, and be as One.

Miracles are seen in light.

It is important to remember that miracles and vision necessarily go together. This needs repeating, and frequent repeating. It is a central idea in your new thought system, and the perception that it produces. The miracle is always there. Its presence is not caused by your vision; its absence is not the result of your failure to see. It is only your awareness of miracles that is affected. You will see them in the light; you will not see them in the dark.

To you, then, light is crucial. While you remain in darkness, the miracle remains unseen. Thus you are convinced it is not there. This follows from the premises from which the darkness comes. Denial of light leads to failure to perceive it. Failure to perceive light is to perceive darkness. The light is useless to you then, even though it is there. You cannot use it because its presence is unknown to you. And the seeming reality of the darkness makes the idea of light meaningless.

Light is crucial to you. That is what it says today in your workbook lesson of A Course In Miracles. In light everything is revealed to you. In darkness you are blind. This is why the mind training is so important, this is why it is a required course. As much as you deny that you need this training, you will keep sinking back in to darkness if you believe that your thoughts have any meaning. You are an addict, you are addicted to thoughts of death, and so you need a reminder every moment of what you truly are. You need a reminder to redirect your thoughts. The only real thoughts are the thoughts that you think with God, and they have nothing to do with this world at all.

To be told that what you do not see is there sounds like insanity. It is very difficult to become convinced that it is insanity not to see what is there, and to see what is not there instead. You do not doubt that the body's eyes can see. You do not doubt the images they show you are reality. Your faith lies in the darkness, not the light. How can this be reversed? For you it is impossible, but you are not alone in this.

Your efforts, however little they may be, have strong support. Did you but realize how great this strength, your doubts would vanish. Today we will devote ourselves to the attempt to let you feel this strength. When you have felt the strength in you, which makes all miracles within your easy reach, you will not doubt. The miracles your sense of weakness hides will leap into awareness as you feel the strength in you.

What is your effort? The attempt to see things differently. The willingness to apply the lesson for today, to take the 10 minutes that are asked of you to look inside your own mind at the thoughts that you are having and to apply the lesson to them.

Miracles are seen in light.
The body's eyes do not perceive the light.
But I am not a body. What am I?

Sit quietly and let it be revealed to you what you truly are. Be as a little child that asks His Father. He doesn't tell His Father what needs to happen, he doesn't pretend to know. He is innocent and asks for help. You ask the question and the answer will be given you. Just listen. Be willing not to know for just an instant and all knowledge is revealed to you. God only gives, all that is asked of you is to receive. Miracles are seen in light. Be honest with yourself today, and if you find yourself in darkness all you have to do is apply the lesson. Darkness is your choice, but so is light. What you see is up to you. That is the power of your mind.

Let me recognize the problem so it can be solved.

Let me realize today that the problem is always some form of grievance that I would cherish. Let me also understand that the solution is always a miracle with which I let the grievance be replaced. Today I would remember the simplicity of salvation by reinforcing the lesson that there is one problem and one solution. The problem is a grievance; the solution is a miracle. And I invite the solution to come to me through my forgiveness of the grievance, and my welcome of the miracle that takes its place.

Let me recognize my problems have been solved.

I seem to have problems only because I am misusing time. I believe that the problem comes first, and time must elapse before it can be worked out. I do not see the problem and the answer as simultaneous in their occurrence. That is because I do not yet realize that God has placed the answer together with the problem, so that they cannot be separated by time. The Holy Spirit will teach me this, if I will let Him. And I will understand it is impossible that I could have a problem which has not been solved already.

Amazing lessons. They simply work. All it takes is for you is a moment to apply them. These lessons are applicable to any situation and if you are willing to let things be undone, to be exposed, you get the immediate relief and you stand in the experience that you problems have indeed been solved. What a miracle.

Now you see the power of your mind. Jesus even tells you today that you are misusing time. Do you know that time is not sequential? That you are using the power of your mind to separate time into a sequence of past, present and future, and that in reality this sequence does not exist at all? What a revelation. You have been using all your energy to hold time in a framework, but now you see you don't have to do it anymore. There is only right now, the rest is only imagined. The past is over and gone and can't touch you. The future is not here yet. All you know for sure is what is happening right now. And right now you are in the certainty that you can recognize any problem that you think you have and that this problem is in fact over and gone. It doesn't get any simpler than that, and that is why A Course In Miracles is truly not of this world.

Another day, another moment in time. You open up your eyes in the morning and it is exactly at that moment that you decide what your day is going to be for. It is either going to be a continuation of what you have done for day after day after day, or it is a choice for a new experience, an adventure in God.

I am entitled to miracles.

I am entitled to miracles because I am under no laws but God's. His laws release me from all grievances, and replace them with miracles. And I would accept the miracles in place of the grievances, which are but illusions that hide the miracles beyond. Now I would accept only what the laws of God entitle me to have, that I may use it on behalf of the function He has given me.

What I love about A Course In Miracles is that is is so reasonable. It is really very simple. It offers you the truth with very simple instructions. It doesn't take time, only willingness. The willingness to be wrong every moment and to be corrected.

Now it is very easy to say this, and I have seen countless minds declare their willingness to be corrected, but in their actions demonstrate the exact opposite. I am grateful for them, because they show me what I do not want. The willingness to be corrected reveals itself in the willingness to be wrong, and so it is indeed the willingness to be weak, meek and choose the second place to gain the first. This takes courage and in that it is the exact opposite of what you think strength is. You think it is strength to roar, to conquer, and you hang on to your ideas with all your might. Real strength is in the willingness to be as a little child, to not know anything, and in that all is revealed to you and you find a strength that you didn't know you had. It was always hidden under your false proclamations of strength. Under your roar lies a child that is crying, longing for his home. It is up to you to release this child, to return it to heaven. This child is you.

One must accept infirmity and even accept looking like an imbecile, one must accept everything, and there isn't one person in fifty million who is willing to do it. Many have also gone off elsewhere, into other, more or less subtle worlds - you see, there are millions of ways to escape, but only one way to stay; that is to have courage and endurance, to accept all the appearances of infirmity, powerlessness, ignorance - the appearances of the very negation of truth. But if one doesn't accept that, nothing will ever change. As for those who want to go on being great, luminous, strong, powerful and so on and so forth, well, let them stay where they are, they can't do anything for the earth.

Take it from one who has undertaken this adventure of transformation. The Mother is one, the Master Teacher is one, both great reflections of truth. This is not about looking good, it is about leaving this world behind. It is your undoing. And if you still get off on your own thoughts, you will get the result of them.

Let miracles replace all grievances.

By this idea do I unite my will with the Holy Spirit's, and perceive them as one. By this idea do I accept my release from hell. By this idea do I express my willingness to have all my illusions be replaced with truth, according to God's plan for my salvation. I would make no exceptions and no substitutes. I want all of Heaven and only Heaven, as God wills me to have.

This is where the rubber meets the road. This is where your willingness to apply the lesson becomes apparent. A dear friend of mine, whom I have known forever, does not get that there is nothing going on in his own mind, that his thoughts have no meaning. He is unwilling to apply the lesson for the day. He fights with all this might to be right, and so he is. We walk together, you and I, but when you start giving meaning to the illusion, I will just keep walking. I let all my illusions be replaced with truth, and I ask you to do the same. We meet in light, or we can't meet at all. You can talk to me all you like, I will tell you the same thing: this world was over a long time ago, it has no reality. You are under no laws but God's. That should start to make you happy. If it pisses you off, it only means that you are not ready to hear this message. It doesn't matter. All time is going on all the time. I will pick you up later in time when you finally recognize that you were mistaken. And then we will both laugh about it. It's not a big deal, but it's all the deal there is. This is where it gets personal, how could it not be? This is your mind, it is your awakening. You are indeed entitled to miracles.

The light has come.

In choosing salvation rather than attack, I merely choose to recognize what is already there. Salvation is a decision made already. Attack and grievances are not there to choose. That is why I always choose between truth and illusion; between what is there and what is not. The light has come. I can but choose the light, for it has no alternative. It has replaced the darkness, and the darkness has gone.

In your awakening you will find that surprising things will happen. Things are changing constantly because you are changing your mind about everything. What used to be important, suddenly has no meaning. And who used to be your friend, suddenly is someone whom you have noting in common with.

Don't worry about it.

Imagine Jesus in His awakening, as He walked around and declared Himself. He was a new man, reborn in Christ, and what He would run into is someone who said: 'Aren't you Jesus, the carpenter, son of Joseph?'. Even His disciples would say: 'Show it to us and we will believe you'. Jesus was constantly questioned in His declaration, but He never wavered. And even now, as He is standing with you, He is constant in His offering of help and love.

You will run into the same obstacles, but thankfully you have A Course In Miracles that tells you this world has no reality. That is an experience, but once you have that experience you know it to be true. Everything you are looking at is in reality already over and gone, you are simply remembering it. And that puts everything in a whole new perspective.

There is no way that you can explain to a mind that believes in the laws of the world that they have no reality whatsoever. You can't explain that by complete reliance of God you are totally taken care of. This is not a concept, it is an experience. In my honesty and clarity, as I express with the simplest thought what I need, it literally shows up for me without effort. So when I see someone struggle, I have no understanding of it. When someone yells at me that he has to pay his bills and that there is only one way to be about it, I tell him to do the mind training. Because I know that a simple change of mind takes care of everything.

I am under no laws but God's.

Here is the perfect statement of my freedom. I am under no laws but God's. I am constantly tempted to make up other laws and give them power over me. I suffer only because of my belief in them. They have no real effect on me at all. I am perfectly free of the effects of all laws save God's. And His are the laws of freedom.

If you insist on talking to me, I will offer you my experience. That is where we meet, or where we part ways. A Course In Miracles is about saving time, every idea you are offered for the day is a speed up. It is a mind training, because your thoughts and ideas bind you to this world, and every sentence in the Course frees you from it. That doesn't mean that you won't have great ideas and will act on them, but the question is always 'What is it for?' It will either bind you to this world or set you free. You want to teach this message. And in that you are given everything.

Today it is obvious to me how much I need the workbook lesson in A Course In Miracles. Need It, with a capital N and a capital I. This morning I realized that with these review lessons it is not enough to practice them in the morning, that I need help to remember them throughout the day. I then remembered my little calendar with the lesson for the day, tore out the page for today and put it in my pocket. Great reminder, awesome help.

I will there be light.

I will use the power of my will today. It is not my will to grope about in darkness, fearful of shadows and afraid of things unseen and unreal. Light shall be my guide today. I will follow it where it leads me, and I will look only on what it shows me. This day I will experience the peace of true perception.

I love the 3 sentences that are offered as forms for the application. There is always one that particularly stands out, and that is the one I use. Pick your own. You know which one it is.

This cannot hide the light I will to see.
You stand with me in light, [name].
In the light this will look different.

What you are offered is that the light is in everything, if you are only willing to look past your own ideas and beliefs. And it is that little willingness that offers you everything. The willingness to be wrong, to be corrected. There is a great audio from the Master Teacher called 'Expanding the Holy Instant' and in it he says: 'Be weak, be meek, stop asserting your self-identity. Choose the second place to gain the first.' For me that sentence is a revelation. The idea of being weak, of no longer trying to hold myself up in the midst of insanity, to literally let go and let God. I always thought that I would feel a sense of strength. But the truth is that it starts with weakness, meekness, being on your knees. And in the giving up, in that total feeling of hopelessness, your strength is revealed to you. It is not of your own making, it is of God. And it is a whole new experience of strength altogether.

There is no will but God's.

I am safe today because there is no will but God's. I can become afraid only when I believe there is another will. I try to attack only when I am afraid, and only when I try to attack can I believe that my eternal safety is threatened. Today I will recognize that all this has not occurred. I am safe because there is no will but God's.

Give up now. Surrender. It is an amazing thing. Jesus resurrected when He said: 'Father, into thy hands I command my spirit.' He gave up. He let go. He resurrected. That is what He is offering you every moment. As Easter is approaching, it can't hurt you to recognize that Jesus did resurrect and that you resurrected with Him. You are simply remembering it. And it is a joyous experience.

Only God's plan for salvation will work.

It is senseless for me to search wildly about for salvation. I have seen it in many people and in many things, but when I reached for it, it was not there. I was mistaken about where it is. I was mistaken about what it is. I will undertake no more idle seeking. Only God's plan for salvation will work. And I will rejoice because His plan can never fail.

Today's lesson shows you exactly why you need A Course In Miracles. Only God's plan for salvation will work and you need a constant reminder that this is so. Simply because you are satisfied with far too little. You pick the workbook up and lay it down at your leisure, never recognizing that you can't get the full benefit of what this course is offering you if you don't give it your full endeavor. You truly believe that the little light you are experiencing is all there is. In the meantime, everything is going on all around you and you are completely oblivious to it. How sad. You need a kick in the ass. You need to remember that you are lazy. You need to get to the point where you recognize that you need a mind training, simply because the thoughts that you are having apart from God are excruciatingly painful and are making all the pain and devastation that you see.

Holding grievances is an attack on God's plan for salvation.

Holding grievances is an attempt to prove that God's plan for salvation will not work. Yet only His plan will work. By holding grievances, I am therefore excluding my only hope of salvation from my awareness. I would no longer defeat my own best interests in this insane way. I would accept God's plan for salvation, and be happy.

No one can show you what this course truly offers to you if you are not willing to do the little that is asked of you. A lesson is offered you for every day. There is a reason for that. You need the reminder. If you are satisfied with your life as it is now, you will never take the full step. But look outside your comfort zone for a moment and the pain of this world will become apparent. You don't want it anymore. You take full responsibility and you ask for a new experience. It can't really be taught, you can only be pointed in the right direction. The rest is up to you.

Constancy:
1. Steadfastness, as in purpose or affection; faithfulness.

2. The condition or quality of being constant; changelessness.

A Course In Miracles requires constancy in your own mind and therefore a vigilance. Pick up the workbook, do the lesson, read the text, watch a DVD at www.themasterteacher.tv. Spring into action and stay on it. You are indeed satisfied with far too little when the whole universe is waiting for you to decide to spring into Heaven and you can't even be bothered to do the lesson for today.

So beautiful. It makes me cry. This experience is not different from doing the workbook in A Course In Miracles. It is an absolute and total part of it.

I'm so excited.
I just can't hide it.
I'm about to lose control
and I think I like it.

It's definitely out of my control. Good thing. The review lessons for today are:

My grievances hide the light of the world in me.

My grievances show me what is not there, and hide from me what I would see. Recognizing this, what do I want my grievances for? They keep me in darkness and hide the light. Grievances and light cannot go together, but light and vision must be joined for me to see. To see, I must lay grievances aside. I want to see, and this will be the means by which I will succeed.

The question really is: what is your focus? What do you want to see? It is very easy to get distracted by what you believe is happening outside of you. You can get caught up in trying to change things. Maybe you think someone should behave differently and you use the Course to justify it. The trap is that when you experience some light, you tend to get arrogant and believe that 'you got it'. It's not that you didn't get it, but ask yourself what is it for. What good does it do you to change something outside of you? Is it helpful? Why not just take responsibility for the thoughts you are having about it? Because that is where the real change is going to happen.

My salvation comes from me.

Today I will recognize where my salvation is. It is in me because its Source is there. It has not left its Source, and so it cannot have left my mind. I will not look for it outside myself. It is not found outside and then brought in. But from within me it will reach beyond, and everything I see will but reflect the light that shines in me and in itself.

It's so incredibly beautiful and one sentence really rocks my world. Salvation is not found outside and then brought in. It's just not outside of you. Not ever. You see the light in your brother and you recognize it in yourself. It is always and only about you. Everything you need is in you. You have looked in so many places and never found salvation, because you never looked within. Another guru, another situation, another whatever.... but no change can happen if it's not happening in you. And that is why A Course In Miracles is so amazing. The lessons are the tool for the change of your mind and you are always directed within. That is not of this world, that is a whole new experience.

You can be glad today that salvation is in you and nowhere else. You have all the tools, you have all the help you need. It is up to you to use it. Music can help. Listen anew to your favorite song and you will be amazed at what it tells you. Somewhere in you you have always looked for a new experience, something not of this world, and you were attracted to this message. It is in a song, in a bird, in a smile, it's everywhere. It is everywhere because it is in you.

I am noticing how I lose track of the review lessons, what are they again today? There is so much uprooted in me, I can't hold anything together. Thank God for this blog, it's a good moment to sit down and look at the lessons again. It's one thing to do them in the morning, at this point it is quite another thing to remember them throughout the day.

Love created me like itself.

I am in the likeness of my Creator. I cannot suffer, I cannot experience loss and I cannot die. I am not a body. I would recognize my reality today. I will worship no idols, nor raise my own self-concept to replace my Self. I am in the likeness of my Creator. Love created me like itself.

Ah, yes! Now I remember. I was doing the lesson this morning and recognized how it repeats itself. The first sentence are also the last one.

I am in the likeness of my Creator.
Love created me like itself.

Jesus is totally on to me. Repetition. Remember. Practice. I have to laugh, because I am totally exposed today. Let's look at the next review lesson:

Love holds no grievances.

Grievances are completely alien to love. Grievances attack love and keep its light obscure. If I hold grievances I am attacking love, and therefore attacking my Self. My Self thus becomes alien to me. I am determined not to attack my Self today, so that I can remember Who I am.

Thank you. It's a great reminder. My day started with a grievance and ended with forgiveness. It's a miracle. I am grateful for A Course In Miracles and for Jesus' patience with me. I need it. Thank God it's all over and gone anyway. There is no need to hold a grievance about anything, including forgetting the lesson. Right now I start over. Right now I remember. That is all that matters.
