OK. So you got an official looking notice from some company with a FAX number of 1-310-579-8660. Scary looking no doubt. Gives you that feeling you get when you receive a letter from the IRS or those pesky red light violation notices in the mail with your picture on it.

This number belongs to an organization that uses unscrupulous and misleading methods to steal your money. They send you an e-mail which looks official but in reality is just a SCAM. Not a week goes by that I don't get one of their e-mails. If you get a e-mail message from them, just delete it. Don't send a penny!! Message look like this:

Link builders. What can I say. These folks are some of the largest SPAMMERS on the planet. On a daily basis, my Barracuda SPAM cluster receives thousands of requests from all over the world. Each of them begging for a reciprocal link. Their claims are laughable. Get in line. Hosting 350+ domains, it is easy to see who these folks and where they are coming from.

I am honored the SPAMMER "handpicked" my "BLOG or Website" among the top sites listed. Much appreciated.

By reviewing the SMTP headers, I was able to determine this SPAMMER uses servers hosted at websitewelcome.com for relaying their e-waste. I normally deal with them by adding the sending domain to my list of blocked domains and marking the message as SPAM. You just need to ensure to add the right domain to the blocked domains. For this, I have added websitewelcome.com to the list of blocked domains.

The typical message received looks something like this:

We decided the best way to enjoy the vegetables was to take them to an expert. We went to our favorite Italian restaurant and asked "Chef Locs" to create something special for us. He sliced the squash, eggplant, and tomatoes and created a masterpiece. It was one of the most gratifying and delicious meals we had ever had.

The time had finally come to harvest the squash plants. Justin was bestowed with the honor. He was a little worried he would kill the plant but I assured him there was nothing he should worry about (so long as he did not cut the main branch.) Squash was not the only thing we harvested on July 16, 2005; we also harvested eggplant and tomatoes.

The chili habanero plants continued their rapid growth. Before we had even noticed, small chilis had begun to form. We had originally planned to have three chili plants but one of them never sprouted. We planted the other two with one empty dutch pot between them in the hopes of eventually having three. Judging by the look of them, we decided it was time to harvest. We kept one and gave away the other to a co-worker named Christine. The Jalapeno plants grew fast and produced vegetables faster than anticipated. We originally planned to plant only one, but, judging by the past demand for our other vegetables, we planted two. Being the good neighbors that we are, we informed our neighbors they were free to harvest what they wanted from the garden. But, we did not mean every day or expect them to pick the plants clean!

When searching for Jalapeno seeds, we chose the Hot Early Jalapeno variety for its spicyness and popularity when cooking with it. Picture taken 07.16.05.

As you may or may not recall, we planted two squash plants in the original garden. When purchasing the seeds, we chose the Early Prolific Straightneck variety. The plant grew fast and produced a stunningly beautiful flower. According to the seed packet documentation, 50 days will lapse before we can harvest. Hopefully, by growing hydroponically, this period will be lessened.

The first of the cherry tomatoes appeared on 06.16.05. These bad boys produced fruits in droves. While the plant was blooming, we constantly picked the plant clean. The fruits we picked were sweet and juicy.The type of tomato plant we planted was the Super Sweet 100 Hybrid from Burpee.

Greed finally hit the ghetto garden! On 05.21.05, we noticed that the majority of plants in the orginal hydroponic system appeared to be less healthy. Upon closer inspection, we realized that only one tomato plant was still growing vigorously. During a water change, we were shocked; the tomato plant had roots that were 5 feet long and that ran directly into the reservoir.

Our first Black Beauty Eggplant was harvested on 05.15.05. This dark and lovely eggplant weighed about 2 1/2 pounds and was 6 inches tall. The plant produced 3 eggplants during its first bloom.

The terrorists that hit our garden appear to have many friends. We woke up early one morning to find that the majority of our tomatoes had been destroyed. It appears that these terrorists are biggots and only hate tomatoes. Based upon the location of these tomatoes, we assumed that the culprit was some sort of bird. The bird only attacked tomatoes that were nice and red and ready for picking. Once it gouged a hole in the tomato, it moved on to the next.
