It's contains information regarding important dates and reminders. While it's in association with the district as a whole, it's geared toward Eddyville Preschool parents.Mrs. Davishttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17725908589173384081noreply@blogger.comBlogger44125tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5831239546023894679.post-31786186553254676022012-05-01T11:26:00.002-05:002012-05-01T11:26:46.272-05:00

Can you believe we only have 10 days left of preschool?! I must admit, I'm not quite ready to let them go! Please be sure to check your child's bag each day for things coming home. We are going to have a special activity each day as we pop balloons to find out what it is for the remainder of the school year (starting tomorrow). Please return your child's field trip form if you plan on

Just wanted to clarify/inform a couple of things - 1. We are NOT able to participate in Track and Field day :( They just don't include preschool in this event. The notes sent home were from the office. 2. Our LAST day of school here is May 17th - I anticipate a program/graduation/celebration type event probably May 16th (this is NOT set in stone yet). Thanks for visiting!

Today when I arrived we had 2 baby chicks and 1 hatching, the kids are super excited about this. You may want to ask them about it when they get home today (we had them "scheduled" to hatch tomorrow and were pleasantly surprised). Thanks for visiting!

Just wanted to send a reminder out that Book Fair is this THURSDAY, we will be going from 8:50-9:10 - you may also come after school, I believe that you buy 1, get 1 free at this fair! :) It's a great deal to get great books! Thanks for visiting!

Last week you may have noticed a weekly reader issue about Spring Babies that came home - we've decided to hatch "spring babies" (baby chicks) here at school. Mrs. Van Zante came and spoke with the class yesterday about how chicks hatch and we have an incubator in our room that the kids have already checked several times today. They should hatch around April 17th. This project is a popular one

If you haven't sent back your child's Monday Mat, please don't forget to next week. I've made a few extras, but not enough for everyone. We've started learning more about reading and sight words this week, the kids are REALLY excited about this. Keep practicing those mats and letters at home, it really shows in the classroom! Thanks for visiting!

Enjoying this beautiful weather! We've been talking about different signs of spring in the classroom as it begins next Tuesday - reminder that Monday Mats are coming home today and to practice them over the weekend. It can be as little as 10 minutes while driving down the road or as much as you want. Don't forget to send them back Monday, I've noticed a growth in the kids already by doing this

We will be celebrating our 100th day tomorrow with Pizza for lunch - thank you Holly Padgett for arranging this special treat! The kids do NOT know this yet. Also, "Monday Mats" will be sent home tomorrow to work on skills over the weekend - please be sure to return them each Monday. Thanks for visiting!

Hibernation day will be Monday - please send your child in pajamas and no need to pack a lunch. We will be "hibernating" in our class all day (including breakfast and lunch time). The kids are looking forward to this special event as we've been learning about hibernation and what animals hibernate. Have a great weekend! Thanks for visiting!

Hello all - Please look for a copy of your child's winter letter ID and sounds assessments. This will give you an idea of where he/she is at this point in the year. I will be posting the class average so that you can get a better idea on Facebook later today when I get them calculated. I'm very happy with the growth so far this year in literacy! Please remember if you have documentation

Hello all - today we reviewed numbers 0 - 5, quantifying, writing, recognizing, comparing, etc. If you get a chance at home to review this, please do so. The kids worked very hard at this today and it's difficult stuff to understand sometimes. We built towers and had the opportunity to demolish them when we were finished. We could also use some extra practice on our writing skills, as we
