Looking at Lipsticks: Five Affordable Colors for Spring 2020

When I am at the beauty counter of any store, I always check out the lipstick section. The colors absolutely rivet me and I end up buying more than I'll even need. While it is so much fun to have different colors in matte, shimmer, gloss, luster - this evergreen make up can prove quite expensive. Today I am sharing 5 of my favorite affordable lipsticks for Spring 2020.

Coming in at Number 1 is Maybelline New York Color Sensational Made For All Lipstick, Fuchsia For Me - Satin Pink!! A lush rich color, it is formulated with honey nectar for a comfortable feel.. This is a superbly universal color that will work with most skin tones. At under $6, its an absolute steal. Available at Amazon.

The next one I'd recommend is the Maybelline SuperStay Ink Crayon Lipstick in the shade Seek Adventure. A beautiful pink neutral color with great staying power, this matte shade comes in crayon form. Cost: $8 at Amazon.

The next one is an absolute favorite. Its the Sephora Cream Lip Shine Liquid Lipstick. While there are 10 colors to choose from in this High Shine Collection, the one that is the best is a neutral copper color going by the name of Surnatural Blush, that will work by both day and night. Buy @ Sephora for $15.

Another gorgeous nude color from NYX Professional Makeup Lip Lingerie. This Pale Nude color is soft on your lips, has just the right amount of shimmer to brighten up your lip and your mood!! Buy it @ Amazon for $7.50

My final favorite in the affordable category is the L'Oreal Rouge Signature Lasting Matte Lip Stain in the Color Captivate. This is an ultra lightweight lipstick that is highly pigmented. It comes in a beautiful vial with a beautifully designed applicator. Available @ Amazon for $9.

While Mural Mural on the Wall is the brightest shade of orange with coral confetti, Mi Casa Es Blue Casa comes closer to a midnight blue - perfect for the sun, sand, and seas. Hue is the Artist is a more pastel shade in lavender tones for when neutrals are in order.

Just look at the shine in these colors. I just cannot wait to try them out!!

From the Nail Lacquer collection, I am loving the !Viva OPi, Don't Tell a Sol, and Telenovela About Me. These bright brilliant shades remind me of the stunning beauty of spring blooms. Priced @ $10.50

Chanel 2012 Spring Collection is my first review for this year. I am back to this blog after a long hiatus and am delighted to be back and writing on beauty products once again!! So much has happened while I was away and I hardly know where to begin. So here goes with my all time favourite beauty company - Chanel!!

The 2012 Collection is put simply: just amazing!! Chanel views this Collection as 'A Complexion in the light of dawn'. The luminous shades of spring light at dawn and sunset inspire this collection. The Blush Horizon de Chanel or Soft Glow Brush captures this mood perfectly. It is complemented perfectly by the Natural Finished Pressed Powder in Jasmine. Then there is the Ultra Lip Gloss in Bonbon, Petillant, and Bagatelle; Nail Colour in April, May, and June!! The Lipsticks are named Chalys, Paradis, and Destinee and are accompanied by a Hydrating Conditioning Balm and coloured Hydrating Sheer Lipshine for the lips!! There's beautiful Quadra Eye Shadow, Soft Touch Eye Shadow, and a long lasting Waterproof Eyeliner for the Eyes too!!

Now, with all these notes about the new year and new resolutions, let's not forget an old favourite!!!! I have two favourites from Kiehl's at this time. The first is the Fruit Oil Deeply Reparative Hair Pak which is super for repairing weakened hair fibers by restoring moisture content. A consistent use of this fruity pack prevents future damage too.

The second is the Rice & Wheat Voluminizing Shampoo. I simply love this product. It is light, but gives hair tremendous body and shine. Made with Pure Honey and the conditioning extracts of Jojoba Seed and Rice Bran, this shampoo cleans but leaves almost no residue. Simply Beauti.li.cious for hair that needs a break!!!!

As a resident of London for almost a decade, January sales were like a ritual to grab the best bargains of the year!! Here are some great sales worth getting to if you're planning a visit across the pond this month.

Marks & Spencer is having its fantastic Home and Furniture Sale . If in London, shop at its famous Marble Arch store - 4 storeys of goodies and when you are tired try the cafe in the basement for some truly English Fare!!
