LUDHIANA: Alcohol is increasingly becoming ahealth hazard for youth in the city. Doctors across the city agree that most of the patients suffering with liver problems in Ludhiana are alcohol consumers and a growing majority of them are young.

While talking to TOI, medical superintendent of Apollo Hospital Kapil Chip said every week nearly 25 patients visit the hospital complaining of liver problems and 40 per cent of them suffer from alcoholic liver disease. Though these patients belong to all age groups, a majority are between 20 and 35 years old. Chip added that in recent times more number of youngsters are complaining of the problem.

Anupam Sibal, group medical director, Apollo Hospitals, said, ''Though consuming alcohol is just one of the reasons for the increased liver failures and problems, even a small quantity of it can aggravate the problem in a patient. Anybody who is already suffering from liver problems should immediately stop drinking.'' Sibal was in Ludhiana on Saturday to inform about a seminar organized by a group of hospitals in which 200 doctors participated to learn about liver failures.

Dr Nirmaljit Singh Malhi, a doctor in gastroenterology department of Apollo Hospital, said there are different categories of liver problems such as acute and chronic diseases. Dr Malhi agreed that liquor was the main reason for increasing cases of liver problem in Punjab. Consultant in gastroenterology department of CMC Dr KC Dass said more than 75 per cent of the patients having liver diseases who approach the hospital suffer from liver diseases caused by alcohol.

You have to backup NTLDR and NTDETECT.COM because the Windows 2000 versions will not boot XP whereas the XP version will boot W2K and XP. They are hidden system files in the boot drive. Copy them to a blank, formatted floppy, or other location that will be available after you install W2K.

Install Windows 2000 to a different partition than XP is installed in. You now have have W2K's NTLDR and NTDETECT.COM.

You need to repair the Windows XP Boot Loader. Boot into Windows 2000, not Windows XP. Insert the floppy disk that you used earlier (or access the location you used), to restore the XP NTLDR and NTDETECT.COM. Copy them to the root directory of your boot drive.

Now, you'll be able to restart your computer and boot into Win 2K or Win XP.

Dual-core and quad-core super-GHz processors are all well in good in your mobile, but what can you actually do with them? Sony has an answer – it’s just announced its latest 17.7 megapixek camera sensor, designed chiefly for mobile phones, but which should also find its way into dedicated cameras.

17.7 megapixels is huge, which naturally leads to enormous file sizes – and thus some serious horsepower to shift the bits from camera sensor to main memory, and ultimately to process them into a usable JPEG, in a nice efficient amount of time. In other words, just the type of task that the new generations of smartphone chips, such as the Tegra3, are capable of performing.

But Sony’s new camera tech doesn’t end there though.

Super-super slow-mo

We all shout about video camera recording at “DVD-quality” 30 frames per second. Any faster, and you’re actually capturing slow-mo video. LG provided this on some of its earlier phones, which could record video at 60 fps, thereby slowing the action down by half.

With Sony’s new tech, it can shoot 120fps at full resolution! Yes, that’s right, 120fps at 17.7 megapixels on a camera phone!! That’s insane! To achieve this, the new sensor is equipped with bandwidth of 34.8Gbps, which needs serious processor power to achieve.

Happily, this isn’t just some tech-lovers fantasy. This new module replaces Sony’s previous sensor, which it released last year, and which was capable of 16.4 megapixels. This module has found its way in at least one cameraphone – the Sony Ericsson S006 – so there’s no reason why the new 17 megapixel model won’t find its way into newer Sony Ericsson phones in the very near future.

Just when you thought the megapixel wars were over (well somebody had to keep those mad quad-core processors busy!).

Canon's press material for the EOS 5D states that it 'defines (a) new D-SLR category', while we're not typically too concerned with marketing talk this particular statement is clearly pretty accurate. The EOS 5D is unlike any previous digital SLR in that it combines a full-frame (35 mm sized) high resolution sensor (12.8 megapixels) with a relatively compact body (slightly larger than the EOS 20D, although in your hand it feels noticeably 'chunkier'). The EOS 5D is aimed to slot in between the EOS 20D and the EOS-1D professional digital SLR's, an important difference when compared to the latter is that the EOS 5D doesn't have any environmental seals. While Canon don't specifically refer to the EOS 5D as a 'professional' digital SLR it will have obvious appeal to professionals who want a high quality digital SLR in a body lighter than the EOS-1D. It will also no doubt appeal to current EOS 20D owners (although lets hope they've not bought too many EF-S lenses...)

With the adhesive loosened after a healthy dose of heat, we go to work on prying up the front panel with aplastic opening tool.

Step 5

And just like that, it's open. No clips, just tons of glue.
As much as we hated trying to remove the clips in the original iPad, this much adhesive is even more of a pain. Be ready to crack your front panel if you dare open it! We'll be investigating the best way to get inside over the next few weeks.

A few screws here and there hold down the LCD screen. Not a problem for the iFixit team!

Step 7

Lifting off the LCD exposes the iPad 2's battery; A 3.8V, 25 Watt-hour unit. That's just a hair more than the original iPad's 24.8 Watt-hours, so any improved battery performance can be attributed to software and other hardware improvements.
Also listed on the battery is a capacity of 6930 mAh. Since mAh = Watt-hours / volts * 1000, converting using the above numbers yields 25 / 3.8 * 1000 = 6,579. It looks like there might be some rounding going on here, or the battery voltage might actually be more like 3.7 volts.
After disconnecting its cable, the display can be removed from the iPad 2.

Next we disconnect the dock connector ribbon cable from the logic board.
After disconnecting the dock connector, we disconnect the speaker connector.

The logic board comes out without a fuss after removing the Phillips screws securing it to the case.

After popping off a few EMI shields, we get a good look at the ICs on the logic board. They include:
- Broadcom BCM5973KFBGH Microcontroller used for touchscreen
- Broadcom BCM5974 CKFBGH capacitative touchscreen controller
  - This is the same combination as the original iPad - nothing new here!
Interestingly, the Wi-Fi board is attached to the logic board under one of the EMI shields. It can be easily pried off its socket.

Step 12

The Wi-Fi board; powered by another Broadcom chip, a BCM43291HKUBC. Broadcom has made this Wi-Fi/Bluetooth/FM tuner combo chip a ubiquitous part for smartphones - lots of design wins.
This is the same part Apple used in both the first iPad and the iPhone 4.

The A5 processor has manufacture dates of late January and mid-February 2011. Production was clearly ramping up through the last minute. It looks like the A5 processor is the APL0498, replacing the A4/APL0398 seen in the iPad 1 and iPhones.
Apple-branded 338S0940 A0BZ1101 SGP. This looks like the Cirrus audio codec Chipworks found in the Verizon iPhone, but they'll have to get it off the board to make sure.

The LCD is really easy to remove once the front panel is gone.
Only standard Phillips screws were used -- no Pentalobular or Tri-Wing funny-business.
The front panel is now glued to the rest of the device, greatly increasing the chances of cracking the glass when trying to remove it.
The LCD has foam sticky tape adhering it to the front panel, increasing chances of it being shattered during disassembly.
The battery is very securely stuck down to rear case, and you have to remove the logic board to remove it.
You can't access the front panel's connector until you remove the LCD.

Hard Drive Data Recovery by using Simple techniques

If you have deleted partitions by accident, do not create another partitions, just leave it blank.

If you have deleted files from the recycling bin and you realize you needed it, do not save anything to that drive. Because Hard drives do not actually erase data or partitions. When you erase a file from the operating system, it just marked on the drive as deleted. When your system needs to store more data on that drive, it will consider files on the drive marked Deleted as being free space, and it copy over them. If that happens then you are in big trouble.

This rule also applies for partitions, since partition information just presents the operating system with a way of addressing the space available on that drive. If you delete a partition, everything from will be gone. because there is no partition information, no data can be read by the operating system. Your data will be on the hard drive but operating system can not see that. Data-recovery programs can see that data by scanning hard drive.

The Best thing to do in a data loss situation is to make sure no more data is written to that drive. If you have just the one partition and it's fried, you can't boot normally to the operating system.

The best option is to transfer your hard drive to another computer. Transferring the Hard disk drive to another computer is best because it will prevent the drive from being over written, and potentially allowing you to retrieve files from the disk just by using Windows Explorer to look through file structures. If you have damaged or erased important operating system files, but the partition information is still readable Windows will not boot.

If you can not physically transfer the hard disk to another computer, The simplest way to gain access to the files on your hard disk drive with a DOS boot disk and then use a DOS compatible file recovery program.

If you have only one hard drive with a single partition that is no longer bootable, file recovery becomes more difficult. Because most recovery programs will need a place to copy recovered data, and if you are using the same drive which has the lost data on it you will be destroying more data than you save.

It is a better idea to install a new hard drive onto the current system and save the recovered data on new hard drive..

There are several programs such as Ontrack Easy Recovery, Winternals Disk Commander, Active Partition Recovery and Active Uneraser that will boot your system straight into DOS, then perform file recovery.

If you have installed your damaged hard drive into another computer, or if you have put a new drive with a separate Operating System into your current machine, you now have a many advantages:

You can attempt to access your lost data normally through Windows File Explorer. This will not work if the partition information has been changed, since the OS will not 'see' the logical drives.

Now you can safely play with recovering your files, since you now have a completely separate hard disk drive on which to put recovered data without compromising the damaged hard drive drive.

What is a network?

Recover deleted files (with shift-del)

When a file is deleted from your computer, its contents aren't immediately destroyed. Windows simply marks the hard drive space as being available for use by changing one character in the file table. If you manage to start an undelete process before Windows overwrites that part of hard disk with new files. You can set that flag back to "on" and get your file.
