Atlanta has been pretty chilly lately, so I think it's safe to say I can start wearing more of my scarves, vests, and sweaters--finally! Also pretty pumped that colored denim is in trend for fall/winter--great way to transition jeans from season to season like my golden jeans worn here.

Boot love

Boots are an amazing staple for this fall and I've been especially obsessing over all the riding boots out there. I need to invest in a good black pair but can't decide whether to buy some similar to the pair I wore below, or a shorter pair. Oh decisions, decisions!

So last week I was shopping on J.Crew.com (I know...surprise, surprise) and this pretty little top popped up on sale (it had been sold out for weeks). So obviously I was soooo excited until I saw they only had a size XXS. I'm not gunna lie, I seriously contemplated buying it until I came to my senses--I would never fit in that! The next day I decided to check again just for kicks and giggles and then boom!..my size gloriously appeared! Oh the things that make me happy in life :)

So I'll be honest.. on any given Saturday during the fall, I am not a fan of black and red especially this coming up weekend (War Eagle!!!)..but any other day, I love wearing this color combo. It never gets old and also looks great when you throw in an animal print {like these gorgeous heels}. So until I can afford those fabulous heels, these will have to do :) ...and btw, if you don't already own a pair of these J.Crew minnie pants, now is the time to get them--most comfortable things ever and perfect with boots, heels or flats--I have them in 3 colors!

Halloween is officially less than a week away! Anyone as excited as I am? This orange sweater I'm wearing is literally the most comfortable thing ever, btw. Not only is it nice and long, but it has pockets! J.Crew makes it in two other colors and I am tempted to buy them as well. Nothing beats a big comfy sweater in the fall. I also just realized how everything in this outfit is J.Crew...obsessed much?

I sewed this dress last Christmas and I am just now getting around to wearing it! The design is extremely simple because I really wanted to focus on the fabric--it's a tight sticht tweed loaded with different colors. I actually have a lot of this fabric left over and would love to find time to make a skirt!
