Is the couple allow to include religious touches if desired?

I feel that the wedding ceremony is my couples special time and my role as wedding officiant is simply to allow them the freedom to incorporate all of the elements and traditions that will create the wedding ceremony environment that conveys their unique life journey and experiences. While ensuring that all of the formalities and legal requirements are observed. And if that includes a religious touch then that is o.k. with me.

Are you usually available for a ceremony rehearsal?

Our focus is on ensuring that every couple that experiences our wedding services is completely satisfied with us and so the more opportunities I have to interact with them, their family and friends are welcomed opportunity. So I look forward to participating in ceremony rehearsal.

What is the proper age for the flower girl and the ring bearer?

Based on tradition, the age range for the ring bearer and the flower girl is between four and eight. However, if you have a cutie that is younger and you would love to have her/him in your wedding party, go for it!
Only do practice sessions with them, and you will be surprise how proud they would make you. Anyway, it's a fact that the guests are always charmed by the flower girl and the ring bearer. They're always so adorable!

How long have you been performing weddings?

While I have been performing weddings in the Bahamas for a while now I have been the Resident Bahamas Wedding Officiant at Bahamas Destination Wedding and performing destination weddings for the past 2 years.

Can you travel to the chosen wedding site?

The Bahamas, while most person only know Nassau or Paradise Island is an archipelagic nation with 29 major islands and hundreds of islets and cays, so it is important as a wedding officiant to be flexible and travel is a part of that flexibility. Travel is a big part of what I do as there are a number of very popular wedding locations that are outside of Nassau, where I am located.

Do you have sample wording/ceremonies/readings to show couples?

Yes, we have a number of wedding ceremonies samples to fit the style of ceremony that the couple may desire including Religious, Non-Religious or Civil as well optional ceremony elements like Unity Candle, Hand fasting, Hand Blessing, Exchange of Rings, Blending Sands and Mother’s Rose Presentation. Having trouble choosing Your Wedding Party? Follow the following tips:
First, you need to remember that your wedding party must suit the size, budget and style of the ceremony you are planning. The traditional members of a wedding party is:

The Maid of Honor

The Bridesmaids

The Best Man

The Groomsmen

The Flower Girl and the Ring Bearer

You need to choose your wedding party as soon as possible, because they are going to be by your side from the moment you start planning your wedding until it's all over. Being in a wedding party involve a lot of responsibility and expense so you need to make your choice carefully.

Also, for the size of your wedding party, the Experts say that the ideal wedding attendant to guest ratio is one pair per 35 to 50 guests, but the most common number is 8 to 12 people. But, bear in mind that there is no rule that says that you need to have the same number on both sides, so you need to discuss what you think is right for you both.

But, at the end, it is all about surrounding yourselves with the people who will support and celebrate your union, who will truly help you, give you constructive criticsm without questioning your every move, and not bring you more stress.

If I invite someone to my bachelorette party, do I have to invite her to my wedding?

The question you need to ask yourself is: "Would you invite someone for cocktails and then tell them they can't stay for dinner?" Well, this is the same situation. You must consider your bachelorette party as just an extension of your wedding celebration weekend. So, if your friend is on your list for one of the parties, she needs to be invited to all of them. There are other ways to keep the guest count down on the expensive wedding day. Would you be happy to be a part-time celebrator in your friend's wedding festivities?

Is the client's wedding the only one he or she will be shooting that day?

Since I'm running the business under my name, it will be only logical if I am the one who photographs my clients' weddings. So yes, I normally onlyphotograph one wedding per day. I don't double book any date.

Anything else you would like to add?

I always strive to provide my clients with the best service andexperience. Photography is a passion for me before being a business, this is why I continously seek to improve, expand and develop my technical andartistic skills. For instance, I'm now using advanced off-camera lightingin weddings, a technique that I've been using in portraiture for many years.This technique renders a superior visual and technical quality of thephotographs.

Tuesday wedding facts - "Somebody said Cake?"

Did you know how the wedding cake tradition start? Rich families in Ancient Rome had a special cake made only to use in the ceremony. And guess what they did with it? The guests broke the cake over the bride's head and it was supposed to symbolize their wish for a life of weath and happiness for the young couple. After, the guests would take the crumbs of the cake home to bring them the same wealth and happiness.

Today, after the couple cut their wedding cake at the wedding reception, they serve it to their guests or give them a piece to take home. We can see that this custom has evolved from the early practices of ancient weddings. Don't we love new trends?

Are you in a situation where you told your co-workers about your engagement, and they asked if they'd be invited? The problem is that you can't afford or don't want to invite everyone from work and their spouses. What will be the best way to react?
You need to choose the colleagues you see outside the office, if you don't call them at home or go out socially with them for drinks, don't send the invite. An advice: you might consider putting your boss on the guest list. For the rest, as usual, honesty is the best policy. Just tell them that unfortunately, you can't afford to invite everyone from the office.

Today, we are starting a new trend. Every Thursday, I will answer an etiquette question that I got from my brides over the years. Hope they will help you and if you have any, do not hesitate to ask: information@youruniqueevent.com

We starting this new trend with the following question:

Can children be excluded on the invite?

Having a wedding excluding children can be stressful for a couple because of the risk of upsetting their family members that have small children. There are steps that you can take to explain this information in a polite form even there is no guarantee that every family member will not get upset with you for this. The thing you should be concerned is the way you put it on your wedding invitation. Here's the proper way:

First of all, never write "children are excluded" because it is too negative of a statement. A better way to write this is to say, "Adult Reception or Adults Only Reception." For the rest, please remember that you will not be able to please everyone.

Yes, I use high-end full frame digital cameras as both the main and the backup equipement.

Is there a time limit for the online proofing galleries?

It's usually one year after the wedding date. But I still have galleries from 2 years ago that I haven't deleted yet.

I'm a wedding and portrait photographer based in Montreal. The majority of my clients are from the greater Montreal area, but I also serve the whole canada and I get requests for destination weddings every so often.

Are you full-time photographer? When did you start shooting full-time? Yes I'm a full-time photographer. I started shooting full-time about 6 years ago but I've been in the photography industry for a lot longer.

What is your style?

Clean, elegant and when it comes to portraiture, sometimes even heroic. In weddings, even though I tend to keep a classic touch, I normally offer different styles with the same technical approach.
