Punches and kicks fly off the screen in the Nintendo 3DS, offering consumers for the first time high quality, portable 3D entertainment without glasses.

Super Street Fighter IV 3D Edition utilizes the innovative features of Nintendo 3DS while bringing the console experience to the portable system. The acclaimed fighting style and gameplay mechanics, for which the series is known, are back and perfected for the 3DS with additional features for both hardcore and new player alike. Included are a dynamic over-the-shoulder cinematic camera and fully customizable accessible control schemes that help break down the walls of entry. What's more, players can choose from 35 playable characters including classic warriors like Ryu, Ken, and Chun-Li, as well as newcomers like Juri and Hakan, to battle friends across the world courtesy of enhanced, online multiplayer features. The Nintendo StreetPass functionality also brings a new collectible figurine battle component to the franchise.

Utilizing all the Nintendo 3DS connectivity features, players can compete in both local and online multiplayer Super Street Fighter IV 3D Edition battles. Battle or watch matches as a spectator, with up to eight other players courtesy of LIVE! Channel mode. Alternatively, players can take advantage of Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection service and battle others one-on-one in INTERNET MATCH mode. Players can even send game data to another Nintendo 3DS system via DOWNLOAD PLAY mode, enabling two-player matches using just one Super Street Fighter IV 3D Edition game card.

As players bid for victory in Super Street Fighter IV 3D Edition, they can play in PRO mode or utilize the new LITE control scheme, which assigns shortcuts for hard to execute moves on the Nintendo 3DS Touch Screen. Massive combos can easily be achieved with the touch of a finger, a useful tool for players new to the Street Fighter series. Experienced players may prefer PRO mode, where all the combos have to be executed the hardcore way, but with four more buttons to assign combinations of buttons.

Another new introduction to the Street Fighter franchise is Figurine Mode, which employs the Nintendo 3DS StreetPass feature to add a collectible meta-game. Players collect bottle-cap figurines from the Street Fighter characters, each with various attributes (Level, Health Points, Attack power, etc.). They then select a total of five figurines from their collection, which will automatically fight other players’ five figurines via StreetPass chance encounter. When winning a StreetPass chance encounter, the gamer will receive exclusive Super Street Fighter IV 3D Edition in-game currency and rewards.

San Mateo – March 29, 2011 – Capcom a leading worldwide developer and publisher of videogames, today announced Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City, is in development for the PlayStation3 computer entertainment system, Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft and PC. In addition it was also confirmed that the forthcoming Nintendo 3DS title, Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D,will ship with a playable demo of Resident Evil Revelations.

Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City is collaboration between Capcom and Vancouver based studio Slant 6 Games and is scheduled for release this Winter. Since the launch of the first title 15 years ago the Resident Evil series has enjoyed phenomenal success, selling over 45 million units worldwide to date. This latest offering will take the series in a completely new direction and offer a style of gameplay yet to be seen from the franchise.

Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City delivers a true third person team based shooter experience set within the dark and sinister Resident Evil universe and a reinterpretation of the events depicted in Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 3. The setting of the Resident Evil universe not only provides a rich backdrop to the action but delivers a unique and thrilling triple threat battle. Zombies and Bio-Organic Weapons (B.O.W’s) add to the mix as players not only compete against an opposing squad but also tackle this third unpredictable element, creating a brand new style of gameplay and breaking the conventions of traditional team based shooters.

It is September 1998 and the action centers once more on the ill-fated Raccoon City and the horrific consequences of the deadly T-virus outbreak from the Umbrella facility. With a cover up required, Umbrella orders an elite team into Raccoon City to destroy all evidence of the outbreak and eliminate any survivors. Hearing of this plan, the US Government dispatches its own special forces to uncover any evidence that exposes the cause of the viral infection and Umbrella’s actions. Players take on the role of an Umbrella Security Services soldier (U.S.S.), competing alone or in four player co-op in a battle against all the competing forces at play in Raccoon City.

Expect the return of original Resident Evil enemies, iconic landmarks such as the Raccoon City Police Department and fan favorite characters, including Leon S. Kennedy, who as a rookie police officer in Raccoon City is on your hit list to eliminate. Players will experience a retelling of classic moments from past titles Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 3 and watch the events unfolding from the menacing perspective of the Umbrella Security Service, giving fans the chance to rewrite the history of the Raccoon City outbreak.

In addition, Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City will deliver a number of competitive online multiplayer modes. Each one of these will provide a unique gaming experience thanks to the three way combat between the Umbrella Security Service, US Special Ops and threat of zombies and B.O.W’s that could only exist in the deadly and twisted Resident Evil Universe.

Purchasers of Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D, scheduled for release in the coming months, will get an extra taste of horror thanks to the addition of a playable demo of Resident Evil Revelations. Set on board an ocean liner, the demo lets players take control of one of the full game’s characters, Jill Valentine, as she explores the ship’s dark interior, killing any mysterious creatures that emerge from the shadows. A brand new title built from the ground up for the Nintendo 3DS, further details on Resident Evil Revelations will be revealed at this year’s E3.

• LEGO Star Wars III: The Clone Wars (LucasArts)
• RIDGE RACER 3D (Namco Bandai)
• Super Monkey Ball™ 3D (Sega)
• BUST-A-MOVE UNIVERSE (Square-Enix, Inc.)
• SAMURAI WARRIORS: Chronicles (Tecmo Koei)
For various reasons which I shall not divulge here I am much better off obtaining an entirely new Wii than having my current one repaired. If you wish to help me out please do not hesitate to donate to my paypal account. Those who donate earn my eternal thanks and mention on a post plus a special tag of their choosing on the Gamer Theory forums. I'm seriously counting on you guys. Please help me out. I have been playing this incredible action RPG for many months thanks to import shop Play Asia and I have come to the conclusion that this is one game that American Wii owners cannot miss out on. So I am making this post to bring our demands to Nintendo of America. Comment on this article and tell NoA just how badly you want this game and how it must see a stateside release. No game this good should be ignored, so I ask all of you to join forces with me and get this game localized! Once I believe we have enough comments/signatures I will email this post to NoA's Public Relations division and see where it gets us.

LOS ANGELES, June 15, 2010 - Nintendo is raising the bar - again.

Nintendo changed the world of video games with touch-screen gaming on the Nintendo DS™ in 2004. Nintendo then pioneered the motion-controlled gaming revolution with the Wii™ console and the Wii Remote™ controller back in 2006. Today the company unveils an even more immersive gaming experience: Nintendo 3DS™.

At the E3 Expo today, Nintendo gave the world the first look at a portable system that lets people view games in 3D, without the need for special glasses. Nintendo also announced a substantial list of upcoming games for Nintendo 3DS, the Wii console and the Nintendo DS family of systems - a lineup that reads like a who's who of some of the greatest franchises in video game history with a completely new look and feel.

"The additional dimension of depth in 3D makes it easier for players to judge distances while giving developers a new tool to create games and experiences that play with both height and depth," said Nintendo video game designer Shigeru Miyamoto, who pioneered the fully rendered 3D video game world with Super Mario 64™.

Nintendo 3DS comes with a 3.53-inch top screen and a 3.02-inch bottom touch screen. It has three cameras - one inner and two outer - to deliver the 3D effect and take 3D pictures. It includes a motion sensor, a gyro sensor and even a Slide Pad that allows 360-degree analog input. At the E3 Expo, Nintendo showed attendees a range of games and applications for Nintendo 3DS that reinvent some of the industry's most beloved franchises. These include:
Xbox Kinect Becomes The Laughingstock of The Internet

Those of you who were waiting to watch the premiere of the Kinect, formerly Project Natal, well its probably better to just watch something else. Reports are coming in from everywhere about the Microsoft Natal Press Briefing. Natal is now called Kinect (the name gets me every time) and it will be launching with a plethora of casual games, which were...inspired if you will by other, more notable and successful titles by Nintendo, including the horribly named Kinectimals. Meanwhile VG247 is reporting that Kinect will have 2 SKUs, the best one being priced at $190. Discussion on this turn of events can be found on the forums atGamer Theory.

REDMOND, Wash., May 24, 2010 - One of the most beloved video game characters on Earth is ready to embark on a spectacular new mission. Available exclusively for Nintendo's top-selling console, the game Super Mario Galaxy 2 sends players on a remarkable interstellar adventure designed to please fans and series newcomers alike.

Like the original Super Mario Galaxy, Super Mario Galaxy 2 lets players take control of Mario as he travels to a host of imaginative planets, collecting Power Stars and striving to rescue Princess Peach™ from the malevolent Bowser. This new installment enhances the action with an array of new power-ups, gravity-defying levels and inventive game options. For the first time in this series, players can hop on the back of Mario's pal Yoshi, who aids him on his quest in select stages. Also, players now can choose to play as Mario or later in the game in select stages as his brother, Luigi.

"Super Mario Galaxy 2 brings so many fun new elements to the franchise," said Cammie Dunaway, Nintendo of America's executive vice president of Sales & Marketing. "Our developers have created entire new worlds filled with great characters, inventive power-ups and that distinctive Mario charm."

New power-ups in Super Mario Galaxy 2 include Cloud Mario and Rock Mario, which enable Mario to create temporary cloud platforms or smash through obstacles as a boulder. With the Spin Drill, he can tunnel from one side of a planet to another. Items such as the new Dash Pepper and Blimp Fruit give Yoshi the power to move around in unusual ways, like running up vertical walls or floating to new heights. Yoshi can also use his tongue to grab enemies and items, or to swing across dangerous chasms. In addition to Power Stars, players can collect Comet Medals that unlock even more challenging levels.

For friends who enjoy gaming together and have an additional Wii Remote controller, Super Mario Galaxy 2 offers the Co-Star mode that was introduced in the original Super Mario Galaxy, but with even more ways to interact. This mode allows two players to team up and cooperate as they zoom from planet to planet, where the second player controls a Luma that can defeat enemies, grab coins and pick up Starbits. Super Mario Galaxy 2 also features in-game guides that illustrate how to perform certain moves and clear tricky levels, lending players of any experience level a helping hand as they progress through the game.

REDMOND, Wash., May 19, 2010 - Launching in the United States on July 11, DRAGON QUEST IX: Sentinels of the Starry Skies for the Nintendo DS family of systems lets players enjoy an adventure that is entirely their own, yet can be shared with others anywhere, anytime. Developed by Square Enix Co., Ltd., this game has already become a phenomenon with players of all ages and backgrounds in Japan, with more than 4.2 million units sold.

Before setting off on their adventure, players can create their own heroes, deciding how they would like their face, hair and clothing to look. As the story unfolds, players become stronger, smarter and more powerful, and can customize companions who join their group. Players will have fun discovering more than 1,000 pieces of clothing, armor, weapons and other items that will provide them with a unique appearance and special abilities. Players can also change the class of their character at any time, choosing from a variety of vocations that will affect their abilities and strengths in the game.

In DRAGON QUEST IX: Sentinels of the Starry Skies, players begin their adventure as a city guardian who is sent to retrieve a sacred tree's fruits, which have the power to grant wishes. Players travel the world, conquer fearsome monsters and unravel an epic storyline. During their journey, players will encounter mighty opponents in fast-paced battles, and also interact with a colorful cast of characters.

DRAGON QUEST IX: Sentinels of the Starry Skies contains special modes that let players share their adventure with others, allowing up to four players to team up via a local wireless connection and experience the fun of tackling challenging monsters and dungeons cooperatively with their own characters. Players can even leave the game active in their backpacks, pockets or purses and still interact with other players via an interactive "Tag Mode." Information about players' characters can be wirelessly transmitted to others, and treasure maps and customized greetings can be exchanged automatically by players who come within range of one another when their games are set to Tag Mode.

Players looking to enjoy a variety of different game activities can take on special side quests. Some of these quests will be earned by progressing through the game, while additional quests will be made available for free download for players with broadband Internet access after the game launches, providing hours of additional content for virtual adventurers to enjoy either on their own or with friends. Some downloadable quests will continue the main storyline of the game, while others offer standalone missions.

"DRAGON QUEST IX: Sentinels of the Starry Skies is one of the biggest games ever to hit Nintendo DS, with an incredible amount of content for every kind of player to enjoy," said Cammie Dunaway, Nintendo of America's executive vice president of Sales & Marketing.
NEW YORK, May 17, 2010 – The American Heart Association and Nintendo of America today announced a first-of-its-kind, multifaceted strategic relationship aimed at helping people create healthy lifestyles through physically active play. The two organizations will work together on multiple fronts to help consumers discover how active-play video games contribute to healthy living. Their joint efforts will arm consumers with information, provide people with hands-on experiences and arrange a summit of representatives from different backgrounds to discuss the benefits of active-play video games.

"Our two organizations come from different worlds, but we share a common goal," said Clyde Yancy, M.D., president of the American Heart Association. "Showing people accessible ways to stay active has been a part of our mission for decades, but our research tells us nearly 70 percent of Americans are getting no regular physical activity. As an organization we are looking for ways to change this. Nintendo has demonstrated clear leadership in active-play video games with the popularity of the Wii system, and I'm confident that together we can encourage Americans to become more physically active."

Recent research indicates that the average person spends more than eight hours of each day sitting down*. The American Heart Association has been conducting its own studies to investigate the reasons why many Americans aren't more physically active. In a recent survey, more than half of respondents identified lack of time as one of the main obstacles preventing them from enjoying regular physical activity. Of those who almost never exercise, nearly 40 percent said that "exercise is not fun." The American Heart Association and Nintendo aim to help eliminate these common barriers with a call to action that motivates people to "Get Informed," "Get Empowered" and "Get Active."

"Nintendo has been helping people get up off the couch and get playing since the Wii system launched in 2006," said Cammie Dunaway, Nintendo of America's executive vice president of Sales & Marketing. "By joining forces with the American Heart Association, we further our commitment to bringing fun and accessible active-play video games to a broader audience."

To "Get Informed" about products that can be used to create a more physically active lifestyle, consumers will see the iconic American Heart Association brand on boxes for the Wii Fit Plus and Wii Sports Resort software and for the Wii system itself beginning this summer. Nintendo and the American Heart Association will also launch an online information center at www.activeplaynow.com, where visitors can read about the benefits of physically active play, conduct personal assessments and learn more about living a more physically active lifestyle.

Additionally, later this year Nintendo and the American Heart Association will convene a multidisciplinary summit of representatives from areas such as science, health care, research, physical activity, fitness and video gaming. The goal will be to bring together thought leaders, each with a unique perspective, to take a closer look at the synergies and potential benefits of active-play video games and physically active lifestyles. Some of the people involved in the development of the summit include Dr. Timothy Church, exercise physiologist and chair of the American Heart Association's Physical Activity Committee; Hank Wasiak, a communications industry leader and self-help author; and Michael D. Gallagher, president and chief executive officer of the Entertainment Software Association, the trade association representing U.S. computer and video game publishers.

"Video games' remarkable ability to inspire and motivate are keys to reaching new audiences. This alliance between Nintendo and the American Heart Association marks an extraordinary opportunity, not only for both groups but for the interactive entertainment software industry at large," Gallagher said. "At a time when most Americans could benefit from more regular physical exercise, these high-profile efforts to promote healthy entertainment help to make active-play video games even more appealing to consumers of all kinds."

The American Heart Association and Nintendo also will help people to "Get Empowered" by making personal choices about creating a healthy lifestyle. People can find fun new ways to incorporate physical activity into their lives, such as participating in Start! Heart Walk events and using the American Heart Association's My Life Check test to evaluate their lifestyles. The relationship is also designed to help people "Get Active" through active-play video games like Nintendo's Wii Fit Plus and Wii Sports Resort, which also will be showcased at select Start! Heart Walk events around the country.

Separate from this strategic relationship, the American Heart Association has recognized Nintendo of America as one of its Start! Fit-Friendly Companies, a designation for employers who go above and beyond when it comes to their employees' health and provide opportunities for wellness in the workplace.
The helper will follow Kirby around and automatically fight as his ally or offer a second player the chance to join in the game by controlling it. There's never a dull moment as Kirby dashes, flies and swallows enemies in his battle against King Dedede, Dyna Blade and Meta Knight.

In a world so often consumed by greed, hatred and bloodshed we often forget about those who are suffering and helpless while we are busy taking care of our own hides. Wolfire Games presents a way for gamers to turn their attention to those who would otherwise be forgotten. They are selling a pack of 5 games made by independent developers and they are allowing you to pay whatever you think they're worth. Better yet they are allowing you to decide how the money gets divided, you can split it between charity and the developers, have all of it go to the charity, all to the developers, or something else entirely. its your choice. I think everyone should take part in this, these are great games and the money is going to great causes no matter what. If you are concerned about DRM, you don't need to be, all of these games are 100% DRM free.

SAN MATEO, Calif. – May 11, 2010 – Capcom, a leading worldwide developer and publisher of video games, today announced the global availability of Lost Planet 2 for Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft and PlayStation 3 computer entertainment system. Produced by Jun Takeuchi of the highly acclaimed 2009 title Resident Evil 5, Lost Planet 2 is the sequel to landmark third-person shooter Lost Planet: Extreme Condition. Lost Planet 2 features a campaign playable in both online four-player co-operative mode and two-player splitscreen, plus 16-player online multiplayer. In every game mode, Lost Planet 2 allows players to customize their unique characters with upgradable weapons, abilities, taunts, and character parts. A Lost Planet trademark, players can also pack some real firepower as they pilot robotic vital suits. Following community feedback from Lost Planet: Extreme Condition, the Vital Suits return with more variety, including some that carry two or three players.

Set over ten years after the events of the first game, the story of Lost Planet 2 begins after terraforming efforts have melted away the iconic snow and ice of E.D.N III giving way to harsh deserts, lush jungles, and city environments. Players control their hero through six interconnected episodes, each seen from the perspective of a different human faction residing on the planet. Utilizing Capcom’s proprietary graphics engine, MT Framework 2.0, the planet comes to life with foliage and structures that react to the massive explosions resulting from the battles that are taking place all over the planet. The true stars of Lost Planet 2 are the larger than life Akrid that inhabit E.D.N. III. Players will utilize teamwork tactics, their arsenal of weapons, and numerous robotic vital suits as they fight for control of the thermal energy that is held within these beasts.

In addition to the intense co-operative campaign mode, Lost Planet 2 contains a robust multiplayer versus mode allowing for up to 16-players in a match. The competitive mayhem of the multiplayer versus mode of Lost Planet 2 will take place across ten different maps and five different game types, including Data Post Battle, Akrid Egg Battle, Fugitive, Elimination and Team Elimination. Also offered today via XBOX Live and PlayStation Network is the first piece of downloadable content for Lost Planet 2 with Map Pack #1 available for 400 Microsoft Points or $4.99 on PSN. Featuring two new maps for the online multiplayer, Helix and Back to the Island, Map Pack #1 was originally offered as a pre-order item but is now available to all.

Lost Planet 2’s deep levels of customization allow players to customize their character and express their individuality online. Extending past Lost Planet 2 characters, players can unlock Capcom favorites Albert Wesker of the Resident Evil series, and Dead Rising’s Frank West to play throughout the campaign and in online multiplayer matches. Console-specific skins include Dominic Santiago and Marcus Fenix from the Gears of War® games for XBOX 360 owners. Available as a future download, PS3™ owners will be able to download a skin from Monster Hunter series.
