GC made my IE slower!?

After installing chrome on my laptop,feels like IE has gone even more slower :) wonder if it is because of the relative speed comparisons I make every time in my head when I switch between the two browsers. By the way, GC (Google Chrome) did crash quite a few time already, acceptable from a Beta software though.

Lately I have been reading on Impression Management and how it can help get where you want to go in your career and generally in your life. Most of the techniques I read makes me wonder "isn't it faking about what you are really feeling about someone or in a situation ".. isn't it the art of faking that one is asked to master for success..". controlling once behavior and telling what is the an acceptable behavior is one thing that everyone should practice but creating false impressions about oneself, where does it end? We have seen our politicians and there impressions, they do get where they want to go crating false impressions about their values and all, but in the end , if they had truly believed in what they stood for publicly , would not we had been a great nation in the end... thing about it?

A few minutes ago I received a mail from a friend asking to tryout Google Chrome! and glad I did ... the transition was so smooth.. bookmarks, passwords everything from IE I was doing in Chrome Beta in few seconds. I appreciate the fact that it resembles the simplicity of Google search where there are no fancy menus and stuff, yet the stickiness to the browser is amazing, I don't remember myself switching to a new browser so fast and taking the default browser privilege so easily... lets see how long this one will hold, so far so good..

Thank God the transporters are happy!

Fireworks this year

It took us 1 hour 10 minutes to just drive out of the parking space of shoreline park to freeway, actually, it could have been better but there was a concert in Shoreline Amphitheatre that also ended at the same time, and guess what, people who paid more to see the concert had priority over folks who came to see the fireworks for free, not to mention the $10 parking fee :) overall it was a fun experience, thanks to the kids onboard for their patience.

Talking about all these Desi restaurant advertisements on dish network - PTV global, Geo, ARY etc. one thing is common - they are all pathetically hilarious. It is almost always evident that all these ads are "Shahkaars" (some glorious work) of the same ad agency.

Karma has been sitting in my closet for almost 2 years now. Tonight I will take it out again. I heard some nice songs lately and it would be nice to practice. The only problem is space and the danger of tipping over nice the little one has started crawling :) lets see. I was playing the toy one the other day and it reminded me of my first organ Casio VL1.

Some people still believe it is one the best keyboards. I remember when I was in 6th grade, I literally washed the poor thing with soap and water cause it was getting very dirty, hehehe... after a couple of drying session, it still worked but the small LCD display was all screwed up. I did beat the heck out of that poor thing

For a person like me..nostalgic and insomniac... waybackmachine is a good time pass.
I remember those days when we were completing our NED Univerisity Final year project document, that was the very first time we truly discovered the power of the internet, almost all of our networking project report was based on information we gathered from Yahoo.com search engine... it was back in 1997. It is so nice to see yahoo.com of that time @ www.archive.org/web/web.php ..... I love this site.
