For those of you that haven't heard of MyPoints, this is a great way to earn gift cards. You can even earn CVS gift cards. I actually am only 100 points away from getting a $10 CVS gift card. This is how it works, you can earn points in different ways:
1. Print coupons from their site and earn 10 points for everyone redeemed. Redeem 5 in 1 month and receive 25 point bonus.

Hickory Farms

So I got my Hickory Farms order today. I probably would have gotten it sooner but the UPS guy left a note on our door saying it was at the leasing office. Well it fell off the door and did not pick up the paper on the ground to see what it was until yesterday. LoL. Well anyways... I got 4 of the cheese ball boxes and paid $3.75 each plus I think an extra 15% off. Now if you go to their website this same box is on "Sale" for $17.50 originally $25. Glad I got these when I did. They will make great gifts but have to be used by June 09.

It was a savings of 51% but since they add a surcharge, the spent is more than saved. I also e-mailed them about not scanning my coupons and the guy said to just bring in the receipts and they would fix it. Luckily I found my other receipt where they forgot to scan my $2 coupon so I got $5 to use towards this purchase.

Well I did not get all my coupons organized like I planned. But I did get all of the inserts from yesterday and finished organizing the coupons from the week before. All I have left are about 15 inserts that my mother-in-law brought over and a few printed ones. I feel a lot better now that the bulk of the coupons are put away. I will try to get pictures of my binder up later on today.

Yup... That's right. I signed up for a free subscription to Cosmo and just started receiving it(This is my 2nd one) Well while I was flipping through it I found a coupon for a free(Up to $1.59) 2-Liter of Diet Dr. Pepper. Check to see if you got one. Its in the Feb. 2009 issue on page 39. Also there is a coupon for $1 off Carefree Panty Liners. So I got $2.59 worth of coupons for free, plus a magazine to read. Not to bad.

Military Outreach Ministries

One of the ways I save on my grocery bill is by going to a food giveaway. It is twice a month and is totally free. It is made possible through donations. Military Outreach Ministries put this giveaway on for the military families stationed at Camp Pendleton. Requirements are you must be E-5 and below....That's it. You must pre-register for this program though. Go here. Right now the registration is closed but keep checking because they said today they will be opening it back up. They give mostly pantry items but sometimes they give fresh produce and diapers.

Commissary Trip

I went to the commissary today since we needed milk(2 Gallons not pictured) They paid me to take the KY($.51), Head $ Shoulders ($.58), and the Quaker Minis($.20). The Kashi bars were only $.09 each after $2 coupon and the Oatmeal were $.89 each after $1 coupon. The tomato sauce was $.65 for 3 after $1 off coupon. Over all I saved $22.40(Should have been $25.40 but the lady did not ring 3 of my $1 coupons but took them and I didn't notice until I got home) That's 43%. Not too bad since I did not have coupons for the soups, lunch meat, or milk. I don't know what to do about them not ringing up 3 of my coupons. I think it was for the Quaker Minis which I only bought because they were free and gave me overage. Thats not something we normally would eat. Hmm.

My Coupon Mess

So I sort of got lazy about organizing my coupons starting in November. Whenever I would get an insert or find tear pads or blinkies at the store, I would just put them all in this bag I designated for coupons. Then it got to the point where I was so behind in organizing I could never find the coupons I needed and when I did find them, they had already expired. So now that it is a new year, I finally went through all my inserts and took out the expired ones. So my goal for this week if to get all my coupons organized. I am almost finished with the inserts from yesterday, so that's a start. After I am done I will post pictures on my storage method.... my coupon binder.

K-Mart Doubles

I found out that our K-Mart was doubling so I had to run out and get a few of the deals. Everything here was free after the coupon and double. So I paid $1.24 in taxes. Not bad since the body wash itself is $3.99. Most of the other things free after coupon either I didn't have a coupon for or they didn't carry it in the store.
