Broken Marriages, is this a common thing now? As we hit the new generation, more and more cases of broken families are there. As if, it's already normal for people to marry then divorce or get annulment/separation after a while. This is not common in the Philippines before, as much as I know when i am still a child, couples tries to save the marriage as much as possible, for the sake of the children, reputation and so on.

But as time passes by, separation and annulment in my country became a normal thing.. What are the common causes of this break-ups?

The number one cause of it is:

1) INFIDELITY - or cheating, or adultery, or having an affair. Call it whatever you wanted but still it's the same. The most excruciating feeling a partner could ever feel (believe me it is), is to be in this situation. I don't know why this one becomes a common thing to couple, maybe because

a) LOVE IS GONE? - There could be a lot of reasons why someone falls out of love with their partner.

b) SEX-EXCITEMENT... When the bed gets boring the situation gets tough, or when one of you are not that active in sex anymore. As years passes by there will be more responsibilities, kids are there, work pressure, financial status and so on. There could be a lot of changes even on your sex activities, sometimes one prefers to sleep and take rest rather than to do that intimacy on bed.

c) APPRECIATION/CARE - Admit that, Men and women needs appreciation and caring from their partner. A simple "Thank you" or "I love you" means a lot and can change a lot. If one fails to have this sometimes partners feels unwanted or unloved. Correct me if I am wrong.

d.) EGO - Sometimes, men/women check or wants to know if they are still attractive to opposite sex, so they will try their charisma, the problem is if this re-checking gets worst and puts you in a situation you can never go back.

e) Or simply, your partner is just a cheater.. period.

2) ATTITUDE - It is not just INFIDELITY or cheating your partner are the reasons why couples decides to part their ways. ATTITUDE is a BIG FACTOR. In the first three years of marriage we call it as an ADJUSTMENT PERIOD, learning how to accept each other's positive and negative aspects, embracing one's weaknesses. Teaching each other the likes and dislikes, do's and don'ts in a relationship.

But if one of you can't adjust during this period, being together is just as tough as you can imagine and one thinks how to get out of this relationship whatever it takes.

3) FINANCIAL STATUS - Let's admit it, financial stability is very important. Especially if you are having children. It is very important to work together and help each other during this situation, never to give up or leave each other during the hard times. But if one of you is like not doing anything or just not taking this predicament seriously, then the partner may give up also.

4) RESPECT - They say, time will come that the love will fade. This happens, even with married people that still are together. This aspect is very important, Never to loose the respect for each other. When you have respect to your partner, even if the love fades away as years gone by, you can still try to work on it and regain the love for each other. If not, you will still have a GOOD relationship after the marriage and this will be the BEST thing ever, not just for the both of you but for the SAKE of your kids.

REMEMBER, in every broken marriages, the real victim here are the kids, not the couples. We should always consider our children in every decision we make.

We will always have our own reasons why we can't hold on anymore, but whatever that reason is, let us try to educate and explain further to our children in way that they can understand why we need to make such decisions, guide them because it can create a great impact into their personality as they grow old. There could be more reasons out there why partners decided to put end to a relationship. This is just my own point of view.

I'm In-Love... with my iPhone5s

I am not that techie type of person, But honestly I love gadgets. Before, I am always updated with all the latest mobiles coming out from the market (updated in a sense that I am doing research about their features, their looks and so on) colleagues will usually ask me how or what's better before they decide to buy their own, and somehow I used to have my "expensive one". Until that became less priority, when you started your family and the budget is so tight. :b

When I was still staying and working in the Philippines, I am contented with my old model of "Blackberry", the important thing for me there are, at least you can send SMS, phone calls, and some IM. Frankly, I still have that "fondness" when I see new devices in TV commercials and malls, but (sigh) I just ignored that. :)

When I arrived here in U.A.E., the only gadget that I have with me are my blackberry and an Apple iPod touch. For a year that I am using that, even most of the time, i need to reboot my BB and iPod touch needs a WIFI for me to be able to use it, but still, its OK. Until 1 day, I dropped my iPod and broke the screen, :( Lucky me, that's my only source of Music while travelling :)

Then my boss noticed it, fortunately that time he is going to change his mobile, so he lend me his old iPhone4. Really, lucky me again. hehehe... So I started to configure it, transfer some data and so on. Using Whatsapp here is WOW! Setting Up my MS Outlook is so much easy, Outlook Email and Whatsapp are two most important thing for me for my job and communication.

Then the iPhone5s came up and released to the market. I was thinking what to buy that time, iPhone or Samsung S4 I almost decided to go for Samsung. Some of my colleagues are using Samsung, I must say it's a good gadget with big screens and all, although I am already attached and used to iPhone and for me it is more user-friendly, so I choose this one. Transferring data from your previous phone is so much easy, I always do backup on my iTunes and iClouds, so in case you caught into some software problem you always have your backup data with you, less worry. This costs me AED 2,500.00, whew! But, I never regret that, the applications are amazing, the way you touch it is superb, the screen, the features, the camera, the use of social media, such as facebook, twitter, yahoo messenger, bbm, skype, Instagram and finally, blogger. Yep, you can now do your blog from your smartphone, anytime, anywhere. Post, edit, share as easy as 1,2,3. More convenient for me or for all bloggers out there. You don't need to grab your laptop whenever a fresh ideas comes your mind.

So, for me this is why I falls-in-love with this mobile, i never knew how much i missed until finally got my own and using it. It's not because it's the latest or expensive one (but for sure we always consider what we can get in every penny we spend) for me it's worth it. It makes my life more easy, regarding my work, my blog and other social media use. ♥♥♥ Happy blogging :D

I told to myself before, I will never write a blog or post anything until I get a job here in U.A.E., not even my status and update on my Facebook. :)

Isa ako sa mga nakipagsapalaran na pumunta dito at nagbakasakali na makahanap ng trabaho, umalis ako sa Pinas na me kaba sa Immigration, kasi dami ko naririnig na mga naho-hold kahit kumpleto na papel mo at kung anu-ano pa. Pero madami pa din sumusubok, yung iba nga ilan beses na na-hold pero nagta-try pa din.

Apply dito, apply duon, lakad, metro, taxi, buti na lang October, palamig na ang klima, mahirap lalo na me kalakihan ako, sobra pawis, sakit na mga paa ko, ilan beses pa ako natatapilok sa sobra layo nilalakaran mo, iwas-iwas taxi pag me time, tipid hanggat maaari.. Interview dito, interview duon. Sobra kabado ako dahil first time ko na umalis ng Pinas para maghanap ng trabaho sa ibang bansa na walang kasiguraduhan, Daming kakumpetensya, hindi lang kapwa mo Filipino, iba't-ibang lahi din. Minsan maglalakad ka sa me Karama o Bur Dubai, parang Quiapo, Manila lang sa dami ng mga kabayan. Umaga, gabi basta me time apply online, nagdadasal na me tatawag sa yo para sa interview.

One time, me interview ako, nagkataon ala lakad mga kaibigan ko kaya sinamahan nila ako, inabutan namin duon mga kapwa Filipino at iba lahi din, lahat babae, lahat naghihintay. Susme isa oras na pala sila duon, suma-total nanloloko lang yung magpapa interview, hindi kami nilabas or hindi na pinipick-up ang calls namin. Sa sobra layo ng nilakad namin para makarating duon, halos kalahati araw nasayang sa paghahanap pa lang nung lugar. Buti me mga kasama ako. Nakakalokang araw. Minsan naman sa Industrial area ang interview mo, magre-rely ka lang sa location map na ibibigay nila at instruction, so lakasan din talaga ng loob most of the time. Madami ka mae-experience sa mga interview, "as in madami talaga"

Sobra kaba mo pag naiinterview ka, lalo na iba lahi kakausap sa yo, dugo din ilong ko, at lalo na pag first time mo na mangibang-bansa. Me mga offers na ako 1st week ko pa lang dito, pero sabi ng kaibigan ko hanap pa. Minsan me mga kapwa Filipino din na mag-iinterview sa yo, minsan sila pa parang nagda-down sa 'yo. Di mo maiaalis, me kanya-kanya ugali mga tao, pero never mo na i-expect yan sa "kabayan" mo mismo.

Aba, matatapos na ang 1 month ko, ala pa ako matinong offer, hanggang sa me isa ako interview at pinangakuan ako na iha-hire ako (kakilala kasi ng kaibigan ko) pero nagkaproblema sila sa immigration at gusto na paghintayin ako. Ako naman dahil mapagtiwala, naghintay. Nasakit na ulo ko sa kaka-follow-up, malapit na ako mag 2 months, at pag 2 months ka na dapat lumabas ka ng UAE at makakabalik ka lang after 1 month ulit. Aba, aba hindi puede to, December 07, 2012 ng umaga, naiiyak na ako kaya nag-decide ako na 'wag maghintay sa wala kasiguraduhan, lumabas ako ng flat at bumili ng newspaper, nag-apply ako sa mga add duon. Apply din online, nakakawala na pag-asa, pero sabi ko di ako susuko. 'Di alam ng parents ko na pumunta ako dito ng wala pa trabaho, pag natawag sila, sasabihin ko "wag kayo mag-alala kaya ko 'to." 'di ako nakibo sa totoo sitwasyon ko. December 08 morning, me call ako natanggap for interview that afternoon, sinamahan ako ng bestfriend ko for that interview, and wallah offer na the next day. Immaculate Concepcion sa atin that day, and for me parang sign na siya.

Then nag-exit ako to Kish Island, Iran bisperas ng Pasko, (ang saklap no?) Andyan na yung maiyak ka, first Pasko mo ala sa pamilya mo, pero kailangan i-set mo mind mo na bago ka pa lang magdesisyon at umalis ng Pilipinas, alam mo na yan. 10 days ako sa Iran, duon na din ako nag-bagong taon, ang daming Filipino sa Iran, iba't-ibang kuwento, me mga naghihintay ng employment visa, yung iba pinangakuan tapos pinabayaan na, me mga nag-exit na naghihintay din para maka-tourist visa ulit kasi ala nahanapan na employer, mas choice nila maghintay dito kesa umuwi ng Pilipinas kasi ala ka na kasiguraduhan na makakalabas ka ulit or makakabalik ng Middle East. Kanya-kanya kuento, minsan me magpupunta sa kuarto mo kasi naghihingi na ng tulong kasi ala na sila pambayad sa hotel, which is that time AED40.00/day. Naging masaya din ang Pasko at Bagong Taon ko duon kasi me mga nakilala ako ng mga kaibigan duon na hanggang ngayun nakakasama at nakakausap ko. Nagluluto kami ng patago, ambagan, basta makatipid lang, bawal kasi magluto sa loob ng hotel. Hanggang sa bumalik na ako sa UAE, I must say, suwerte din ako sa naging employer ko, kasi palagi nila ako kinukumusta at tinatanong kung okay ako, pinadalhan pa nila ako ng extra pera. Dito kasi kailangan me bala ka (extra money). Hanggang makabalik ako sa Dubai, after New Year.

Lakasan din talaga ng loob at maraming dasal, huwag ka bibitaw, Ang araw ng interview ko ang naging sign ko na okay ako dito. Dasal ako ng dasal ke Lord, At hindi din ako nagkamali, ang turing nila sa akin ay kapamilya, isa siyang small family company at ako lang ang Filipina.

Mura halos lahat ng bilihin dito, pagkain, electronics (pero medyo nataas na din dahil siguro sa Expo2020). Ang mapapakamot ka ng ulo is - napakamahal ng bahay. Naranasan ko na halo-halo babae, lalaki sa isa kuarto, kurtina lang ang pagitan, suerte mo lang na mabubuti mga naging kasama mo. Nang medyo naka-settle na ako, nakalipat na sa mas maayos at all for girls na flat. Lahat titiisin mo para makatipid. Akala ng iba, pag nag-abroad ka, mapera ka kaagad. Susmarya, i-se-settle mo muna ang sarili mo. Di porke nakikita nila sa FB mo na nakangiti ka, eh super GOOD ka na dito, alangan naman ipost mo na umiiyak ka, lalo na ang "homesick" alang expiration yan, bigla-bigla na lang na umaatake sa yo.

Ang pagiging OFW ay mahirap, lalo na malayo ka sa pamilya mo, Masarap kung me nakakasama ka na mga tunay na kaibigan na kahit paano ay nakakausap mo at nagpapalakas ng loob mo, lalo na kami, bestfriend ko nandito, classmate ko from elementary to HS, kaya less worry. Andito ka na eh, kesa bumalik ka sa Pinas na walang kasiguraduhan, tiisin mo hanggat maaari para sa pamilya mo. Pasasaan ba't uuwi ka din at magkakasama-sama na kayo. Pag nag-decide ka mag-abroad, kailangan mo ng baong "tibay ng dibdib" at baon ang "pagmamahal at pangarap mo para sa pamilya mong iniwan sa Pinas".

A Salute to Dubai Police and Emergency Crew - 999

If America have that popular "911", U.A.E. also have it's own version of "999", When i first landed my feet here in the Middle East, the first thing my friend informed me is this emergency number. Mostly, we may not give much attention to this info, but it is a must that you know how to dial this three numbers (in fact it is not that hard to memorize, is it? ) in case you are caught into a life threatening or emergency situations.

I've been working and living here as an expat for more than a year, and Dubai police car are always rounding everywhere. One day, while inside the office, and as i turned my head towards the glass door, i saw a commotion outside, people rushing in one direction and kept on coming. So out of curiosity i went out, a few meters away from our office, i saw a car upside down, Ooops, there's an accident. I was wondering what happened? Or how's the passenger/s? Then just between 5 to 10 minutes an ambulance came, after that not even 2 minutes interval, here comes the Dubai Police Car. I was amazed with how quickly they responded to this incident. From the time this happened, it just took them around 30-45 minutes to clear the place.

Just minutes later, i heard a little girl crying, as i looked outside again, an ambulance came, and the father (i think so) of this little girl took her inside that vehicle. One of the crew attended to the child inside and one was calming down the man, then they left.

According to gulf news, hundreds to thousands of calls 999 receives especially during EID, some are minor to major to just simple inquiries and even bogus calls.

We should consider as a human being that this emergency number are intended to help people, especially for emergency cases, life threatening one. So, I advise you not to make a phone call and add up to the traffic of incoming calls if your intention is just to have fun. There are people out there that truly needs their help and assistance in a situation we don't know if it's a matter of life and death. A little care is enough. And a little time is too much important to save a life.

And as for the UAE 999 Emergency staffs, police and crew members, Thank you and two thumbs up for you, more power for serving the people of U.A.E.

Healthy Choices - Part 1 - Your Food Intake

Healthy Choices

Back on my "student" years, I used to be an athlete, believe it or not LOL, I am a varsity player and a captain ball in basketball, also participated in some sports like softball, lawn tennis and so on. But after i graduated and started working, all this extra curricular activities i already set aside. I became too much busy on my work and family, and honestly speaking i totally forgot to be physically active (or let's say being lazy in other words). So in doing this, what else do you expect? Of course you will gain what you invested, FATS, and lots of it... I never been that conscious before, i ignored that i am gaining weight as years passes by. More and more, and the athlete that i was before was just a memory of the past... LOL!

Friends and relatives are noticing it and asking me "Hey, what happened to you?" But still, i took it for granted.

Then one day, as i looked at myself in front of the mirror, it's horrible, HAHAHA, i wasn't like this before, adding to that i am experiencing difficulty in breathing, getting tired too fast, body malaise, high blood pressure and increasing sugar level (Gosh! I should be aware of this because both of my parent's side have diabetes history) WOW! This is not right, I have to do something about it.

So, January 2013 i started to skip red meat, switch my food for more vegetables and fruits, homemade salad and white meat (fish/chicken) & less carbo, of course not forcing myself, slowly i disciplined my food intake, slowly, slowly and surely... Why slowly? Because you don't want your body to get surprise by the sudden change you are doing, and you don't want to faint and put yourself at risk because of doing the wrong diet. Not just to look better again, but to be healthy right?

And who among of us doesn't love sweets, soda, and fast foods? Well i'm a heck chocolate lover, Super! But as I've mentioned.. DISCIPLINE, that's the first RULE, before i always have that "chocolate thing" inside my bag, but now, I managed to ignore it every time I am passing by a grocery store. Sometimes, you need to satisfy yourself, just to stop the craving, there's always a "cheat day" for me (usually weekends), but still, DISCIPLINE. And you will never go wrong.

Slowly and slowly, your stomach will get used to it, and so with your body. I feel good and more alive. The main purpose for me is not just to get rid of the unwanted fats that i gained for years, but to be healthy and be physically active once again. Honestly, I lost lots of kilos in just less than a year, with only doing the "healthy diet" alone... Frankly, I am bringing back the self-confidence that I lost before.

I have nothing against being chubby or fat, in fact still i am. But the main point is to be, to feel healthy once again and to be active, do the things without feeling exhausted easily. I am proud that I am doing this and changing my lifestyle a little. According to one quote "It's never too late, It's never too bad, and you're never too old or too sick, to start from scratch once again. And really, it's our choice, and this is my choice, the healthy one.

So here's my starter for 2014.. And since i am now living and working here in UAE, my post would be about this app called Talabat.com, its been a while since i am hearing radio commercials about this site, where you can order your food online.. Either via web or you can even download it in your smart phone, and so i did, i registered and put some information and wallah! Its done. Today as i have lots of work loads in the office, and also my colleague, we can't even have time to stand up and look for some reataurants nearby. So, i what i did i asked him what he wants and showed him this application on my mobile, to make the story short, we agreed and made the online order, in just 30 minutes food is delivered (actually the timing should be 45 minutes to 1 hour maximum)... It's a hassle free ordering, you can choose from different restaurants near your location, and this application i must say is very user-friendly, easy to use. And i myself is promoting this to you guys to try it, especially for busy people like us.. Happy eating. ♥♥♥

I Miss my Blog

It's been almost a year since I last posted here in my blog, been busy working online, arranging documents to go here to Dubai, UAE as a tourist Visa, and then looked for a job, went to Kish Island, Iran, stayed there for 10 days waiting for my employment visa and then adjusting to my work place, new environment, new life, different nationalities and culture. Now, I can say i can write here again, not regularly, but at least i will find some time to do so.

How I wish i will always have fresh ideas/topics to write. Hmmm, i think i will start with my experiences here in Middle East. & How I see some Filipinos go here and look for a job. All their sacrifices and hardship, just not to go back to our country unemployed.

So for now, I welcome back myself. Happy blogging again. :)

NOW, we go to the REAL THING, the sites that I've mentioned above were just for part-time, or an addition to your earnings, here, just be on the right time and have the right proposal and you'll get a part time to full time job at the convenience of your own home.

ONLINEJOBSPH - this is a site where you have to send your offer and email them, when a client responds be sure to reply immediately because there are hundreds of online job seekers like you sending them a proposal, they usually pay thru PAYPAL or Western Union. So, in case you passed all the stages here, one of their representatives will schedule a check on your place, just to be sure that you have a quiet, peaceful "WORK ROOM". and then you are good to go! by the way, I think the pay minimum of $400-500 starting salary, it still depends on your designation, full time. :)

3.) ODESK - there are hundreds to thousands of online job seekers using this, it's a little hard to win a client, because some were offering too low, and you can be paid either HOURLY or FIX PRICE. But never worry because once you build an excellent profile here, you'll get more invites. and lastly...

4.) ELANCE - frankly, this is my favorite site of 'em all. :) at first it was also hard for me to win a client but when I had my first one, more offer and job came, one of these continued for months until I've decided to stopped it because I have plans to go abroad and I cannot continue working as much as I would like to for part time. Just like Odesk, there's an HOURLY or FIX Price job for this, make sure that when you are on an hourly basis, don't do anything (FB, Twitter, Etc) that is not related to your job because there is a screenshot every now and then, and honesty will still the best policy right? You need to build a good relationship with your client so that in their next project, you are still considered and for them to give a GOOD FEEDBACK on your project.

REMEMBER: Build a good profile, upload a decent picture (not poses like from your Facebook account), upload your own video (optional) stating your experiences and what kind of jobs you can do. Have a cover letter prepared. And read carefully the job description before you make an offer. Have a good workplace that you will be comfortable for you and your client too.

Do you believe in GHOSTS, SPIRITS or other creatures of the night?

Some does, some don't and some are neutral about this topic. But as for my personal experience, I can only feel them and have goosebumps in some place that I know there is, when I was young, there are times that I can see silhouettes, just a blink of an eye and it's gone. When my grandmother (mother's side) died after several days of her burial I actually smells the way she smells and I am riding on a motorcycle. So, I really don't consider myself seeing them. But my siblings and cousins does, we are 8 siblings and 3 of them can actually see them, face to face. Yes, face to face, creepy isn't it? I am glad that I do not own that capacity to see those things as they have.

Sometimes, it will actually appear in front of them, besides them, they can feel them lying on bed with them. They can not only experience this on our ancestral house but anywhere they go they can feel if there is a spirit within that location. One time my sister stays in a hotel room, and she was left alone by her friends, as she falls asleep, she was awakened by a sudden movement, she felt that her blanket is moving. When my other grandmother (father's side) died, another sister of mine saw a bright white figure besides my aunt (the one who takes good care of her for years). It started when all of them were still young, and since then it's been a regular phenomenon until they all get use to it.

I know it is hard to believe but this is actually an experience me and my siblings had. Do you have any freaky stories to share?

My Sweet Little Girl will turn 4 :)

My sweet little daughter will have her 4th birthday this coming Tuesday, August 14. We are telling her that we are not going to celebrate it now because we don't have money to spend unlike before, and the good thing is at her very young age she didn't complain, as if, she already understand how hard to earn money :). She'll just tell me, "Mom, in case you have, I want a spaghetti and a yellow cake (her fave color)". We are secretly planning to have a simple celebration at the beach so that they can enjoy swimming and playing on the sand.

Guys, what else can you suggest or what else have you done to celebrate a very simple, less expensive but memorable birthday of someone you love dearly? :)

My Experiences being a Call Center Agent

What it's like to be a call center agent? ........

A good friend of mine is working as a customer service representative in Makati, she told me to try to apply for the position also, I asked her if I can send resume on Jobstreet, and she said yes, and if I send my application online how many days before they call me? she responded "Hmmm, I'm not sure, maybe one or two weeks?" So later that day I submitted an application online. The following day, my cellphone rings, and a lady was asking me if I was the one who sent an application online, I said "Yes, Ma'am." And she started to asks me some questions, questions that I didn't even know the answer! I'm struggling! Struggling for words! I don't even know that time what is a CSR, and the Call Center Industry means! In my mind I was screaming! What the....! Hey, I'm not yet ready for a phone interview! I didn't expect to have it now! But of course, I can't do that... So, it went through... And what do I expect? Of course I failed the initial phone interview!!! HAHAHA! Serves me right, I wasn't prepared. Lesson is, do not rush yourself, take your time and prepare yourself.

When I went to Manila, I asked my friend if I she can accompany me to apply in Makati, and she said yes, we first went to the company where she works (the one I got a phone interview) but unfortunately, it will take about 6 months before I can send an application again, and then we walk, walk and walk... We passed by the TeleTech Hub, and I applied, I started 1pm, I passed the initial interview and go through the online testing, grammar, spelling, solving phone problems, what will you do with an issue or how to deal with an irate customer and some questions about computer itself IP address, etc. Lastly, the phone interview, they will give a situation on the phone and explain how you will deal with it, I finished 5:30-6pm, my friend in the lobby is really hungry waiting for me, hehehe. But the good thing is, I passed and the lady there told me that I have a final interview in TeleTech located in MOA, Pasay. Next day, I am all prepared for the final interview, but when the interviewer asked me when I can start, I told her "about 3 weeks after?" hehehe wrong move again, when they ask you about this one, you should respond "ASAP or Anytime." and that time I told her that I am still working, she told me to wait for an email. Because I am not yet decided at that time, I just tried if I can pass the interview and be eligible to work as a call center agent even though I am not that good in English Communication, I'm not fluent and sometimes my grammar slips, :D

All in all, I've got a ratio of 2:3, I passed 2 companies including TeleTech (I included it passing because my test result will last for 1 year) and failed 3, not bad at all huh? After a month I still didn't received an email, and this time, I am decided to relocate in Manila, I asked a TeleTech chat support agent about the status of my interview, there was a typographical error on my email address that's why I didn't received an email from them, he said that I didn't pass the final interview, that I might not be eligible for that position until I decided to relocate in Manila.

September 2011, I went back to TeleTech located in MOA, I asked them if I can re-apply for the position, and immediately that day I had my "final" interview again and fortunately I passed, scheduled my Medical examination and so on, October 3 when I started the training under Mr. Ryan Gonzales. We were 14 in the group. We were under Project Eagle, Wave 7...

Wave 7 are composed of 14 different people from different locations, some already have experiences, some were "virgins", just like me. We have 2 senior citizens, some from the middle ages, including me, and some are from their early 20's. Different people with different attitudes. The first week is the hardest, we're all aloof from from each other, as if we were trying to figure out each and everyone's characteristics, who can speak English well, etc, etc.. Except for 1 man, the funniest and most talkative in the group "Johann", a well experienced CSR boy. But he is one of my favorite, he's kind although he has a "brutal bibig" hehehe. (bibig means lips/mouth)

2 weeks of basic training, I thought I wouldn't pass it, but I did. We are really building a good friendship here, we ate in the "pantry" with our trainor, we try to help each other especially during the training period, the correct grammar, how to pronounce and so on. Then after that, the reality of Product Training. Because after that, the one who will test us are the "Big Bosses" from Florida, USA. In Wave 7, I am what they called "si ateng Negative" it is because I always feel nervous on everything, I felt that I cannot pass the interview, the basic training and the product training and all of these, hehehe... Fortunately I survived all of these.

And I became a real Customer Service Representative! My first QA (Quality Assurance) scored 96, wow! I'm proud of it, and the rest is history. I lived somewhere in Roosevelt, QC. Everyday I took the LRT1 Roosevelt Station all the way to EDSA Station, then I'll take a jeepney to SM MOA. My shift starts 12:30 am- 9:30am, sometimes 9:00-10:00 I am already at the office, I don't want to be late, plus I don't want to miss the LRT, hehehe, I don't want to take a bus, because I feel more safe riding on LRT than buses or jeepney in Metro, Manila. During lunchtime (3-4am) break, sometimes instead of eating I spent that time sleeping in the women's quarter, which has only 15 beds! OMG! If it is all occupied, try to sleep on the floor, if ever it is also occupied, I sleep in the pantry. (saklap)! When I get used to it (lunch) I consumed 1 bottle of VITAMILK and a cup of cake/bread or coffee. After my shift, it's time to go home of course, the usually 5-10 mins ride from the office to LRT EDSA station, during 9:30 am? OMG! This will take you 20-45 minutes sometimes, and during this hour, the traffic sucks! So that's my day-to-day routine, while everyone else is saying "What a day!" and started to take a rest, we as a nightshifters just starting the day, we are all awake and taking up calls while everyone else's preparing to sleep.

First week of December, I had an accident, I slipped on the floor and hit the back of my head and my shoulders, I immediately informed by Team Leader, and he's been very supportive and shows concerned on his team members. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to go back because the swelling took a couple of weeks, so we decided to go back in Aurora. And there, being a CSR just ended. But it gave me a lot of experience and all the hard work worth it all.

All in all, I had a great experience with this company, with good memories and good friendship, even until now, we have communications.

Being an Office Girl

I only finished 3rd year (1st sem) BSC Computer Science & Information System at Centro Escolar University, Manila. Due to some personal reasons, I wasn't able to go back to college to finish my course, and at a very young age, I started working in a bank, but it was just an accident. I replaced the position of my mother when she decided to go to the US, we were having some serious family matters during that time. As the eldest in the family and as a mom, I have to work for my siblings and be the head of the family.

Even though it is a company owned by a relative of mine, who was really very supportive and really cares for us, I've got a lot of discrimination from the pioneers regarding how much is my salary, how I am doing my tasks, that I am an undergraduate, etc., etc.. Honestly? Even though I have an Accounting 1 & 2 subjects, it is really different when you were doing it in the office. I was ashamed to ask many questions, considering it is a bank, no one explained to me what are the types of loans, savings, accounting tickets/entries, what to debit and what to credit. I almost gave up, one week feels like 1 month. My head is really getting bigger, as if it wants to explode! Sometimes, I really don't know what I was doing, got a lot of mistakes, type... type... type... ! I was so ashamed, I really cried a lot because sometimes I feel like I'm stupid and dumb, but I have to do this. I forced myself to self study but I'm still asking questions and help of course when I really can't understand something.

Months and months passed by, and I'm getting used to it, instead of just typing and arranging credit files, from Clerk to Loan Clerk, after 1 or 2 years (really can't remember) I was promoted as a Bank Bookkeeper, I encode day-to-day transactions, validate receipts, loan releases, weekly reports, monthly reports, daily proof sheets, General Ledgers and so on. Was also given a chance to do part-time work as the Secretary of the Bank's Legal Counsel. So, there goes my day-to-day routine as an office girl, wake up 6 in the morning, be sure that my 2 students will leave the house for school 7-7:15 am and be at the office before 8 am or you will be deducted 1/5 of your daily salary (that's kinda tough) hehe, but that's part of our life here, no late please... :D Go home at 5pm or until all transactions are closed and be ready for the next business day. Do overtime during end-of-the month and meet deadlines for reports.
We've got so many benefits as an employee here, we even had a tour to Shanghai, China for 5 days in 2005 and had a 5 days vacation in Boracay Island in 2008, every Christmas there's a gift worth of PHP 10,000.00, just choose what kind of appliances or stuff you want (although some can't see it and still demands for more). Crab mentality in some Filipinos are just but normal, especially when you are in a rural area, not like in the city "walang pakialaman" (yun nga lang mas safe ka sa probinsya). I remained in the bank for ten (10) consecutive years, I started September 2001 and left September 2011. Why did I left? Some will think, I'm crazy, I guess I really am. I know I am one of those lucky person to have this kind of job, considering there's a lot of people out there looking for it. I, myself didn't know the answer that time, just wanted to break-free, I already asked myself that question. I guess, one of the reason is, I started working at a very young age, had the responsibilities, the heartaches, family matters, office matters and so on. "Para bang napilit sa hinog?" Then kung kailan nagka-edad na ako, saka pa ako naka-isip ng ganito, weird! All I can think of that time is, I want to search myself, what it's like to apply for a job, to have an interview, to do what I wasn't able to do. To soul search and to think.
And I packed my things up, went to Manila and look for a job, I left my kids to my in-laws to be taken care of. It's hard but exciting, I tried to apply as a call center agent, I applied in 5 companies and the ratio is 2:3, I passed the two and failed 3, hehehe not bad at all, I chose Teletech in MOA, Pasay, I was proud to be part of this company, it gave me opportunity and I proved myself that even though I am not that fluent and perfect in English communication, it gave me a chance. But sooner, after 3 months of working, I have to go back to my family, my 3 kids needed me and I can't bear the fact to leave them suffering, just to make me feel I have my own worth. It is our first time to be apart that long. So, I made a decision, went back to the province and to be with my family again.
You may think, I just wasted my time and lose a great job? Yes, I did lose a great job, but I did not wasted my time, it is not worthless, because that sacrifice made me feel more better and I proved myself that I am too, are worthy enough and I can do beyond my limitations and beyond the expectations of others.
Problems will always be there, you just need to know how to face it and deal with it, but at the end, don't forget your worth as a person and as a human being, there's always regret at the end but learn from it. Prove yourself and stand up! Don't let anyone put you down. :D

VITAMILK

VITAMILK, it's been a while since this product is circulating the grocery stores, it has three (3) flavors, VITAMILK (soymilk), VITAMILK ENERGY and CHOCO SHAKE. I was in Antipolo with my sister "Peron" when she introduced me with this product last quarter of 2011, she said "Sis, you should try this one, it's healthy and absolutely yummy!"... So I consumed one bottle, honestly? I liked it, it has a rich flavor. And from its source, SOYBEANS, definitely it is high in protein beneficial for both old and young ones.

So, when I started working on a night shift, and still adjusting to that kind of life, instead of eating a full meal or what they call "lunch" (about 3-4am, depends on your one hour break), I found myself drinking 1 bottle of VITAMILK ENERGY plus a muffin or any kind of bread or a 3 pcs. fried soimai, and it made me full and alive again for the next 3-4 hours of taking calls.

Remembering this Month...

It'll be another year for me, a plus to my age again, I really can't stop this, can I? unless I'm already six feet under, hehehe... Mostly, when we were a kid, we were excited whenever our birthday is coming, because most of the time, our parents will make a little celebration for us, balloons, cakes, pastas, etc. and wait for our gifts of course! But when I turned 20, Oh my, Am I really getting old? then came my early and late 20's, curious but less excited though, a plus again to my age and a lil' fine wrinkles!!! Same when I reached 30 last year, as if I can't accept it. Darn!

This year, what's new? I'm turning 31years old in a couple of days, hmmmm, then I realized It'll never be like the past years for me. Because this year there will be no "ima" nor "nanay Fely" that will greet me "Happy Birthday"...
My "Ima" (ima means mother in Kapampangan dialect) was the mother of my father, she was very lovely and generous to people, from Arayat, Pampanga, Philippines, her full name was Ruperta Vergara Santos, a well-known person in this place because of her kindness and generosity to others when she's still alive. I remember when she's still around and I am only 15 or 16 years old, sometimes I can make her cry because we argue on some issues and I'm a person that says what's inside me and what I think is right, and she doesn't like that, so when I turned 17 or 18 years old, that's the only time I realized that she's getting older and the least that I can do for her is to make her happy, so every weekend, I stays in her place together with my other cousins, Hanes, Brenn and Rap with their loving and sometimes "masungit" mother tita Len.:D I always showed her that I love her on my simplest way, I do her nails and foot spa, massage her legs and a little facial using some of St. Ive's products. I know in that little way I can make her happy.
October 18, 2006, when she had an accident, she fell on the floor and hit her head, and she went to a coma, and when my three aunts (ima's daughters) from America decided to come back here in the Philippines, I knew in my mind that Ima is not doing good in the hospital, four of Ima's children are doctors, 2 here in the Philippines and the other 2 are doctors in the US. The rest are all businessmen/women including my father. And my grandmother is already on a life support system and the chances are very slim. When this happened I am already working as a bookkeeper in our province, and never had the chance to visit my granny in the hospital, and all of her children were discussing about to pull the life support system, I was shocked! I will never see her again, alive! Early that year, we visited her in Pampanga, and she doesn't want us to go home, she wanted us to still stay even for the night, but we have to leave because me and my husband have to work. So I and my daughter Chloe and my son Lance waved goodbye to her, I never taught It'll be the last moment to see her. I rushed myself taking a bath, getting ready for a long travel, inside the shower room, I cried hard "Ima, please wait for me.." but they already pulled the life support system, it's too late for me. Until now, I can't help but cry when I think of her. It was October 23 when she passed away and October 26 when we buried her.
"Nanay Fely" was the mother of my mom. Was born and raised in Baler, Aurora. I remember, when I was a little girl about 3-6 years old, my mom sometimes leaves me with my Nanay Fely, she had a little store and I always eat everything I want from there. :D She's kinda strict and conservative, she always admonished me about things in life, responsibilities of being a parent and so on... But I knew in my heart, as her first grandchild, I am special. We always knew that she's diabetic, so, so many don'ts, especially on foods and I know how hard it is for her. And the complication of her diabetes just got worse, she cannot stand alone, she spent more time in her bed, more medications, etc., etc., etc.!
When 2011 came, I am not so excited because I'm turning 3-0!!! And then, March came, a not so good news came to us, my "nanay Fely" is in the hospital again, so I rushed to the hospital to see her. And I didn't like what I saw, she's having trouble breathing normal, but when she saw me, I knew I made her happy. My aunts told me that with her condition we should be ready anytime, so I decided to call my mom thru webcam (IM) and I told my mom about the situation, the night before I went to the hospital they (my aunts) told me that she was mentioning the name of my mom.. She (granny) cannot utter words but when she heard the voice of my mother, she cried and tries to talk. I told my mom not to cry, "Please mom, don't let "lola" hear you crying." March 9, it's my cousin May's birthday... We were in the hospital, my "nanay Fely asked me to pull her up (in sign language), I just thought she just wanted to change her position on her bed, I was wrong she was trying to kiss me, so I hugged her tightly and I said "I love you, Nanay!" These were the words I never had the chance to say to my "Ima". And I regret that.! So, this time I want my grandmother to feel that I love her so much. March 10 almost midnight I can't sleep, then March 11th, 2 o'clock in the morning, my cousin May called me, and I knew the reason why, she's gone...
March 13th, my birthday, I'm just thankful that she didn't passed away on this day. March 27 was the birthday of my "Ima", March 11, the day my "nanay Fely" rested in peace. The two of the most precious women in my life, I will always remember especially on this month. Let us always express our love and gratitude to the people we value most, to the one who's important to our life. So that we will never have regrets at the end that we haven't had the chance to say "I love you!"
Goodbye and farewell, 'til we meet again.!!! I love you both.

Welcome to the Crazy Club

Crazy Club? Is this for real? What kinda club is this? ):/ I'm only turning 31 years old this coming March 2012, at a very young age I already experienced being a parent and took responsibilities to my siblings (6 girls,1 boy), as the eldest I must take care of them whenever my parents were out of town to manage our furniture business and I am only 11 years old when I already knew how to take care of my new born sisters, sleeping near them, feeding formula milk, change the diapers, wash and bath them and even clean the freshly cut umbilical cord, and the responsibilities grow more and more when my mother went to the United States with our other relatives (to fulfill an American dream), I saw how my siblings had their adolescence period, their crushes, their first menstruation, and also I am responsible for the circumcision of my lil' brother (of course I took him to the clinic, I'm not the one who performs it, :D) even the first time they taste a liquor. I also witnessed how they survived one of the critical stages of being a teenager, and I'm always besides them. I am the one who looks for them when they do not come early from school, or even not going home for days!!!

And because our mother is not around, I cannot bear anything bad that will happen to them especially that they are all under my supervision, and our mother will be very sad and upset, I am not perfect I always admit that, even I myself did many mistakes during my teenage life, even until today. And I'm proud that my parents, especially my mother did not abandon me and never surrenders, she always see the good in me (even sometimes I do feel that I'm hopeless) :D

So, when I decided to have my own family, I just taught I knew everything because of my experiences. I remembered when one of my co-workers greeted me when I was on my way to my 2nd child, "My dear, Welcome to the Crazy Club!" I replied, "What? What crazy club?" Then she smiles, "sooner, you'll know" she said... On my mind I said "What the... ? what is she talking about?" My life's fine, nothing to get crazy about.

Years passed, me and my husband are having some issues most of the time, well, that's part of marriage and I thought we're not yet done with the adjustment period as "husband and wife" okay, that's fine. Then another year, and another, and another, my eldest turns 10 (ten) and my 2nd turns 7(seven) and my youngest 3 (three). Oh my gosh! I think this is it. My eldest and my 2nd child were always bullying each other, and they are really pain in the neck sometimes! You'll just hear someone's already crying or my daughter will yell " Mommy! Kuya's bullying me again!" and I will tell them "Come here you two, you are brothers and sisters, you should not fight, You should (referring to the eldest) take care of your sisters because you are their "kuya" (big brother), then they will pause for a moment, after a little while here they are again!! Oh what the f..... (tooooooot)!

As our children grows, the more responsibilities we have, and the more "gastos" (expenses) of course! Paying the tuition fees, electric bills, cable tv, food allowances, transportation allowances (for my husband because he travels everyday to get to work), miscellaneous expenses and so on... Now, I'm getting really crazy about this stuffs! The financial responsibilities and the never-ending cat and mouse situation of my 2 children, sometimes they can even pissed me off! One day as they both arrived from school, they were giggling and running towards me, and my eldest comes first bringing the "valentine's card" made by himself... and it goes like this "Mommy, mahal na mahal kita, kahit makulit ako, di ko na mabago ang ugali ko." (Mommy, I love you so much, although I am naughty I just can't change my attitude.) and my daughter gave me also her valentine's card "Mommy, you are the best mom in the world".... Hmmmm, teary eyes, I said "Thank you!" and they displayed it on my fridge. This is one of the best gift I ever received. :) a little period, and then arguing again who's card is better than the other. Whosssshhh!
I know being a mom is not even half the way my mom did and still doing for us, even for me though I already have my own family and I just taught I knew everything, it proved me wrong I am just beginning to face the first stages of being a responsible parent, and it is forever as long as we live. And now, I am truly a member of the so-called Crazy Club, but it's all worth it. :D

I'm Getting GAGA over these 2 Series

Since I was a kid, I'm fond of watching movies and read stories about vampires, wolves, witches, fairies, ghosts, zombies, and "aswang" (a mythical creature in Philippine folklore). Although I am a coward :) and easily be frightened by these characters, I can't help it I enjoy hearing and watching stories about these creatures (weird). :D but hey, trip ko to, hehehe... Others were crime drama series or true crime stories from National Geographic Channel and Discovery Channel.

Aside from being a loyal "ABS-CBN Teleserye" fanatic, I do also have my favorite international tv series. Series that i watched before are like CSI: Crime Scene Investigation (CSI, NY, Miami) thru AXN etc.. But when the last quarter of 2008 came, HBO premiers a new series entitled TRUE BLOOD , and it really caught my attention. Just like a package deal for me, :) a collection of my favorite characters, vampires, wolves, shapeshifters, fairies, ghosts, witches and other evil characters, all-in-one, this is an American tv series that created and produced by Allan Ball (I just love him by doing this). This story centered the life and adventure of the main character Sookie Stackhouse, (played by Anna Paquin) a telepathic waitress who happens to be a fairy (revealed in the 2nd or 3rd season) whew! the setting took place in Louisiana. And with this series, vampires not only exist, they're interacting with people and the whole world knows about their existence. A Japanese scientist invented a synthetic blood, called true blood so the humans were safely removed from their menu. Sookie falls in love with a handsome 173-year-old vampire named Bill Compton (Stephen Moyer), and the rest is history (well, I suggest to watch all episodes, I can't summarized everything here you know? hehehe) because it's already been season 5 I am waiting to be release on HBO this 2012. Oh, another character here is Eric Northman (Alexander Skarsgard), how can I forget this hunk? He's over 1,000 years old and became a vampire sheriff, although his character in the 1st season is rude and selfish, he blooms in the 2nd season and so on, and that he has a great attraction to Sookie and willing to take her away from Bill, and yada, yada, yada... :) I must admit, I really love Eric here specially in season 4. And guys, we can't deny the fact that love scenes here are sooooooooooo HOT, HOT, HOT!!!

Other characters here are Sam Merlotte (shapeshifter), the owner of Merlotte's where Sookie and some of her friends work. Jason Stackhouse, Sookie's not too bright brother. Tara Thornton, Sookie's bestfriend since childhood. Lafayette Reynolds, a gay and a cook at Merlotte's, Tara's cousin. Pamela de Beaufort (Pam), a loyal assistant of Eric and a bouncer at Fangtasia. And Jesicca Hamby, young vamp made by Bill, a real beauty and sexy vampire, and so on....

To those people out there that has the same taste as mine and haven't seen this series yet, better grab a copy now, you won't regret it, trust me. My sister get hooked over this the first time I introduced it to her. Can't wait for the season 5 here on HBO Asia. :)

What's next? Hmmmm, now I'm watching the newest series THE WALKING DEAD now on it's Season 2 episode 8. If you like ZOMBIES, then you should watch this one, although I am always "bitin" because there are only 6 episodes in season 1 and 7 in season 2, now the continuation of the 2nd season was aired last Sunday (February 12, 2012) in America. This is an American horror television series developed by Frank Darabont first broadcast in AMC Channel. This series tells the stories and hardship on how to survive living in the aftermath of a zombie apocalypse, hope this won't happen in real life, I can't bear watching myself to be eaten alive by WALKERS! Yuck! Frankly, I was so excited to see the 8th episode, I even dreamed running away from zombies with my family! hahaha!

The main character here is Deputy Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln), waking up from a coma, and found out that he's the only one "alive" in the hospital, he started to find his wife Lori (Sarah Wayne Callies) and son Carl (Chandler Riggs) who happens to be with his best pal and partner in the sheriff's department named Shane Walsh (Jon Bernthal) and other survivors. And to keep the story short for the 1st season, Rick's family and pal thought that he didn't survived in the hospital, and the time Rick found them they were all stunned and shocked because Shane and his wife already had an affair that was ended the moment Rick returned, and the survival from the zombies continues looking for a better place to hide and to live.

If you are ready to drop your heart out, then don't be left behind! Catch the latest episodes. :)

Okay, enough at this time, this is the latest 2 television series that I am being gaga at this moment, have any suggestions what to watch? please try to do so.. :) Thanks for reading!..

A Simple,trying hard Blogger :)

I really have little knowledge about blogs, bloggers, etc. and I knew that it's been years since people get crazy over having their own blogs, and I'm really curious about this. And frankly, I was really hesitant to even signup here on blogger.com, i don't even know what to blog. :) But, hey! There's no harm on trying. I remember when I was young, I really love to write poems, scripts, stories based on my over dramatic life (mostly in Tagalog, I'm really not that good in English) hehehe :) So, I think this is my time to shine..? Nahhh!! Just time to share my thoughts, my experiences, interests, my simple, complicated life :) and anything that gets my attention and camera.

To start with, I am already a mother of three lovely kids, married and turning 31yo this March. From being a full time employee for ten consecutive years, now I am a full-time mother to my growing children. So, more time for my online diary :D

This serves now as my personal journal, and I will do my best shot to make it a lil' bit interesting to whoever (if ever there is :D) read this.
