It was old ,the paint peeling away to reveal other colors. 
It was cantankerous sounding but it was ours,
our freedom,if only for an hour or two.

Remember the feeling of the mud sucking at our shoes as
we ran, pushed and jumped on?

Step 1- Use their name and rhyme it with whatever words that come to mind. 
Step 2- Sing the song over and over in the lowest monotonous voice possible, until they leave you alone.
*It helps immensely if you have an awful singing voice,I sound like a foghorn when singing.

I finished my second and third  experiments with decoupaging and all was well until I put a coating of gloss on it and it turned the red  to orange. I would post it but my batteries died due a certain child messing with the camera constantly. It is truly hideous and unfortunatley a gift for my mom.
